00:07concerning the new provisions on social co-operation

00:11presented by Massimiliano Maselli,

00:13advisor to social inclusion and services to the people of the Lazio Region.

00:18Today we have written another beautiful page in the Regional Council.

00:22We have approved the new law on social co-operation.

00:25Social co-operation in Lazio, but this concerns all regions,

00:29is certainly a very important reality

00:32because it involves a whole series of activities and services

00:36that concern social policies.

00:38Let's imagine the after us,

00:40let's imagine the assistance they provide in households,

00:45with people, in people with disabilities.

00:49Let's imagine young adults, autistic people,

00:52educational services, and the after us,

00:55and many other very important things.

00:58This law was long awaited

01:00because it revisited the Law No. 24 of 1996,

01:07which is now widely dated.

01:10It is a strongly innovative law

01:12aimed at digitization and simplification,

01:15which aims at a much faster management of the co-operatives.

01:21It is a law that achieves many goals,

01:24such as the inclusion of people with disabilities

01:28in the world of work through social co-operation,

01:32and then it is a law with an important financial coverage

01:40of 9 million euros in 2024, 2025 and 2026.

01:45It is an answer that co-operation was expected,

01:48especially in a difficult post-pandemic moment,

01:51but also in a moment where social co-operation

01:54has had to solve an important task since February 2024,

02:01that is, the renewal of the national collective contract,

02:06increasing the salaries of the thousands of social co-operatives.

02:13So it is clear that a response from the region was expected,

02:18not only with a law that aimed at reordering,

02:23not only normative, but also procedural, administrative,

02:31but also a law that aimed at new actions

02:37from the socio-economic point of view,

02:40but also a law that had a much more important financial equipment

02:47than the previous one, to give a series of answers

02:50to the renewal of the national collective contract.
