00:00:00Here we go, uh, diving in again on these, um, football games.
00:00:06We go to, uh, pain day, which starts tonight, week 11 of the link in Philadelphia.
00:00:11It certainly does a very big NFC East matchup.
00:00:15These are the top two teams in the division.
00:00:17Philadelphia with a win as a chance to really separate themselves, uh, and be in the driver's
00:00:22seat to win it.
00:00:23Now the Eagles, of course, have started, started this year, two and two.
00:00:26They have ripped off five wins in a row to get to seven and two.
00:00:31And in that span, they've scored 28 points or more in four straight games.
00:00:35Offense was a problem early in the season.
00:00:37It has turned up, but Jalen Hurt says we still got more work to do.
00:00:41You know, I'm not, I'm not satisfied by any means.
00:00:43There's nothing to be satisfied about in my eyes because we're, we're still growing.
00:00:48Um, we're still a work in progress.
00:00:50You know, it's like there's, there's no moment we're going to arrive this year.
00:00:54Some may think we have, some may think we haven't figured it out, but we don't, you
00:00:58know, there's so much, so much, um, more out there for us to accomplish.
00:01:02And so, um, we just want to continue to challenge ourselves to, to operate in the highest level
00:01:07we can and be efficient and, uh, no, no, the details and the ins and outs of what we're
00:01:13doing and then have some integrity about what we're doing.
00:01:18I gotta be honest.
00:01:19Like when I look at these two teams, they're so similar to me and talent and, you know,
00:01:27offensively quarterbacks, defensively, uh, I'm surprised the number is where it is, to
00:01:34be honest with you.
00:01:35I think they are so close to these teams.
00:01:37I think this should be more like a two point spread.
00:01:39I really do.
00:01:40Uh, this kid Daniels can flat out play, man.
00:01:44I was watching the Steelers play against this guy.
00:01:47He's a nightmare.
00:01:49He is a matchup nightmare.
00:01:51Matchup nightmare, indeed.
00:01:54I think he's also had, I believe, what, two plus touchdowns on the ground for him in the
00:01:58last two games.
00:01:59Uh, he's been scoring lots of, lot, he's been getting a lot of those, uh, tush pushes from
00:02:04inside the one, but he's also been, he's had a couple longer ones too, eight yards, uh,
00:02:0815 yards.
00:02:09He's had some good scrambles.
00:02:10Hurts has been playing good football.
00:02:11Jaden Daniels on the other side, of course, he's been very good for Washington this year.
00:02:16They are out to a seven and three start.
00:02:18I don't think he's been the same offensively himself, uh,
00:02:21It's another game and we got to go out there and give our best and it's fun.
00:02:25Um, you get to go and visit different atmospheres and stuff like that.
00:02:30So, uh, it'd be my first time playing the Phillies.
00:02:32I'm excited.
00:02:33Uh, famous last words.
00:02:37All I know is, yeah, I think I got a lean Philly.
00:02:43I really do.
00:02:44I think their problems, uh, started against the Steelers and, you know, they didn't get
00:02:50it done and now they, you know, we talked about it with Gabe.
00:02:54If they lose this game, uh, the snowball has been formed.
00:03:00The snowball has been formed and, uh, as I mentioned to you yesterday, you know, that
00:03:05that's going to put some distance between them and Philly in the division.
00:03:09They're going to be fighting for a wild card then.
00:03:12There's a lot of teams this year in the NFC that are going to be in that bucket, uh, fighting
00:03:18for that wild card so, uh, they can put the, you know, have a chance to stay away from
00:03:23that crowd if they can get a win tonight.
00:03:25Uh, I'm still seeing mostly three and a half around.
00:03:29There were a couple fours earlier today.
00:03:31There is still a couple places with some fours, but mostly three and a half with the total
00:03:36though up to 49 and a half.
00:03:38I know that was 48 and a half yesterday when we were talking about it.
00:03:41I like the Eagles tonight, Scotty.
00:03:43I think they win this game by a toddy or more and they take care of business at home against
00:03:47Washington.
00:03:48And, uh, as do I, and what about the total?
00:03:55Total I'm not as, uh, as sold on.
00:03:57I'm not, I'm not sure I could, I'm kind of staying away from the total tonight.
00:04:01I think it could get over, but I could also see 27, 13 Philly tonight.
00:04:08I could see something like that.
00:04:10So I'm probably not going to get involved.
00:04:14I root over, you know, me, I want, uh, like I'll get some props, these studies, things
00:04:18like that.
00:04:19I want overs all the time, but unless I feel real good about it, I'm not going to play
00:04:24the over.
00:04:25Uh, so I'm not going to get involved there.
00:04:26I'm going to sit that one out.
00:04:27Uh, I do have for you, speaking of props, how about the most bet a player props for
00:04:32tonight?
00:04:33And I gave you the Eagle number before they've not covered at home their last six home games.
00:04:39Right.
00:04:40We'll change.
00:04:41We'll change that tonight.
00:04:42Uh, we'll, we'll, we'll break that Schneid, uh, against Washington hurts under nine and
00:04:46a half rushing attempts, McLaurin under 62 and a half receiving yards, AJ Brown over
00:04:5179 and a half receiving yards, Barkley over 94 and a half rush yards and gain well over
00:04:5713 and a half rushing yards.
00:04:59The most bet player props for this evening, uh, in the game.
00:05:03Yeah.
00:05:04I don't, you know, I don't have a problem with that hurts under.
00:05:08I don't have a problem.
00:05:09Uh, I, I do have a problem with McLaurin under, uh, to be honest with you, uh, he's his favorite
00:05:15receiver.
00:05:16I mean, he, he hooks up with this guy left and right.
00:05:18I think McLaurin goes over that number.
00:05:21I think, uh, I, I agree with Brown and then, uh, uh, I agree with Barkley and what was,
00:05:29and what's the last one there, uh, Kenneth gain well, uh, for 13 and a half rushing yards
00:05:34and he cleaned that last, last week.
00:05:36Yeah.
00:05:37I agree with that too.
00:05:38They give him the rock.
00:05:39Yeah.
00:05:40And you got a chance if they're up, uh, he might be in the game late.
00:05:43You never know.
00:05:44So I don't mind going with the game while they're either.
00:05:46How about the Tuddy's, uh, for tonight, which always get, uh, get us excited, uh, for the
00:05:51first Tuddy tonight and always play the first Tuddy as well as at any time as I'm going
00:05:55to AJ Brown at eight to one, AJ Brown has wrecked Washington the last couple of years
00:06:02destroyed them and still no Lattimore for Washington, who was the big corner that they
00:06:07traded for.
00:06:08And he's still not playing.
00:06:09AJ Brown torments them again tonight, eight to one first touchdown right out of the gate.
00:06:13I do like scary Terry McLaurin plus one 90 to get into the end zone on the Washington
00:06:18side of things.
00:06:19Goddard looks healthy now caught a touchdown last week against Dallas.
00:06:23I think we get Goddard again.
00:06:25Price is still nice.
00:06:26Plus three 70 for him.
00:06:27Uh, let's go get involved with big Dallas.
00:06:30Yeah.
00:06:31I like that price.
00:06:32Uh, and he gets it done and he's involved in their offense big time.
00:06:36That's a nice price.
00:06:37If he gets in the end zone, I think he might.
00:06:39Let's ring the bell.
00:06:40Uh, especially AJ right out of the gate, up top, AJ Brown.
00:06:43Boom.
00:06:44Yeah.
00:06:45You know, I can see Smith having one as well.
00:06:47He's been lighting it up.
00:06:49And uh, again, I agree with that McLaren, uh, he loves throwing the McLaren and we were
00:06:55talking about, uh, the Tyson, uh, Paul fiasco tomorrow in Jerry's world is where they're
00:07:02fighting.
00:07:03I gotta tell you, uh, I tried to watch the Netflix three part series on it.
00:07:07I got through 30 minutes of the first episode and I literally had to dive off cause it was
00:07:13so awful.
00:07:14I mean, it's just so awful.
00:07:18I'm like, I was saying to you, I'm surprised that you can even bet on this thing.
00:07:24Like it really, it is kind of shocking to me because it is like a, is it a real fight?
00:07:31I guess.
00:07:32I mean, I guess they're going to be in there hitting each other, but like, it's not a real
00:07:35fight.
00:07:36And I don't know what's been said beforehand.
00:07:37I mean, you know, that McGregor and Mayweather thing was a complete, uh, scam up, you know,
00:07:43we're going to dance around for a few rounds and then I'll knock you out.
00:07:46I just feel like it, you got that again here and some, not all states are letting you bet
00:07:52it either.
00:07:53You can't bet it in New York.
00:07:54You can't bet it in Jersey.
00:07:56So he says he wants to fight Canelo Alvarez.
00:08:00I got news for you.
00:08:02Uh, literally.
00:08:04So Mike Tyson's 58 years old, right?
00:08:07And we've already seen Holyfield at 58, just get knocked out in a fight.
00:08:12But Mike Tyson's 58 years old and he just smokes 5 million doobies a day and eats mushrooms,
00:08:19everything else.
00:08:20And he admits it.
00:08:21And then, um, let me tell you something.
00:08:24Canelo Alvarez would literally, I think, kill him dead in the ring.
00:08:30Like I think they would take him out in a body bag.
00:08:33I really do.
00:08:34And first of all, I don't believe for one minute that Canelo Alvarez would ever stooped
00:08:38at that level to fight this, uh, YouTuber, whatever he is.
00:08:42I know he's got an amazing following, uh, with basically millions and millions of morons
00:08:49love him.
00:08:50So, uh, we'll say he's favored to beat him, but, uh, Canelo Alvarez would never take that
00:08:56fight.
00:08:57And if he did, he'd kill him.
00:08:58He'd kill him.
00:09:00You have to think that real legitimate fighters like Canelo Alvarez and anybody else, like
00:09:08all these guys you talk to when you go out to these fights in Vegas, they have to look
00:09:12at this and be like, this is why, why is everyone interested in this?
00:09:19And no one cares about us.
00:09:20We're legitimate fighters, real fights.
00:09:23This is a sham and that that's, you know, how much more juice and eyeballs that fight's
00:09:30going to have Friday night compared to any Alvarez fight in the last two or three years,
00:09:35a ton more.
00:09:36And I, and those guys, you're right.
00:09:38He wouldn't stoop to that level because I think legitimate people in the boxing business
00:09:43think that this is nonsense and they can't, and it tarnishes the game.
00:09:47The best thing that would ever happen to them is if Canelo actually did fight this
00:09:51guy, this guy, and I wouldn't go as far, they can kill him in the ring, but to knock them
00:09:56out and around and just destroy them and be like, this is what you guys go and watch.
00:10:01I think Tank Davis would kill him dead in a body bag.
00:10:05I think Caleb Plant would kill him dead body bag.
00:10:09I'm not joking.
00:10:11This guy, he fights MMA fighters and knocks them out and they're all washed up MMA fighters.
00:10:19He's never fought anyone legitimate yet ever.
00:10:23Everything he does is a farce.
00:10:26Let's just face facts.
00:10:27I mean, it's bottom line.
00:10:31Every guy he's fought, Woodley, all these guys are washed up when he fights them.
00:10:36They have nothing left.
00:10:37He's, I mean, he's fought.
00:10:39I'm looking at, he's fought Nate Robinson, Michael Perry, Anderson Silva, Thomas Jernigan,
00:10:49Kyle Woodley, Ben Askren, Nate Diaz.
00:10:55These are the guys he's fought.
00:10:56Nate Diaz is a complete pothead loser who's done.
00:11:01He's just, he'll fight anyone, anywhere for money so he can buy his pot.
00:11:07Honestly, let's get real here.
00:11:08Nate Diaz and his brother, they're bringing his brother out of the closet to fight in
00:11:13the UFC soon this year at the turn of the year and he's another one that's washed and
00:11:18finished.
00:11:19He's going to get killed.
00:11:20I just, I can't believe that people are, uh, I get people, Mike Tyson, you know, it's,
00:11:27he brings, he's 59.
00:11:28If you watch him on this, this Netflix thing, you know what you'll do is legitimately at
00:11:33some level, you'll feel sorry for him because when you watch him, he's, I mean, it's embarrassing.
00:11:44He is a mess.
00:11:45He is such a mess.
00:11:47Like he can't even talk.
00:11:49He can't even do interviews there.
00:11:52It's difficult to watch him, uh, struggle through life and like he's acting like he's
00:11:59training hard for this thing and they show him training and everything else.
00:12:04And all I see is this old man who, uh, let, let's just face facts.
00:12:10Uh, he fought, uh, I think Roy Jones a few years ago, right?
00:12:17And, and he got, he got into it with him a little bit, but his last real pro fights that,
00:12:24that were the end of his career, um, all you have to do is go back and look.
00:12:29I mean, he got destroyed.
00:12:31He didn't have anything left.
00:12:32He's brain dead.
00:12:33He's, he's literally mush.
00:12:36And so I don't care what happens in that fight tomorrow night.
00:12:42But honestly, if that kid lands one shot to that guy's head, he's going down just like
00:12:48Holyfield did a month or two ago when he got punched once and he went down, they don't
00:12:53have anything left upstairs.
00:12:55They're literally mashed potatoes.
00:12:58Honestly, I don't care how fast Mike Tyson can hit a speed bag or the trainer that trains
00:13:05with him.
00:13:06And they sit there and try to sell you how hard his punches are.
00:13:09And you know, like, Ooh, he's really hitting hard on me.
00:13:12You get hit with one of these.
00:13:14Now look, I'm sure people, 90% of the people I saw today are like rooting for this guy
00:13:20to win that they're betting on him to win.
00:13:22They're betting on Mike Tyson to destroy this kid.
00:13:27And the funny thing is about the kid is he literally wins every fight he has.
00:13:34I mean, he fights all these bums and losers and tools and wannabes and was burnouts, but
00:13:40he beats all of them.
00:13:41And not only that, as it's gone on, he's beat him senseless.
00:13:45He gets better at it.
00:13:46He's gotten better at beating their ass.
00:13:48Like he's really knocking guys the F out now.
00:13:52But the people he is fighting in these fights, uh, they're embarrassments.
00:13:59I mean, they're just all of them.
00:14:01Literally every one of them.
00:14:02It's so sad and pathetic.
00:14:04Uh, frankly, as far as I'm concerned, it shouldn't even be allowed.
00:14:07That was great.
00:14:08Mavi just brought it up.
00:14:10The, uh, Patty power, they had the, uh, Irish sports book.
00:14:14They brought a guy in from Dublin to ask a question at the, at the press conference
00:14:20for, for this, uh, Paul Tyson, uh, fight, whatever you want to call it.
00:14:26And he brought this Irish guy, got up to the mic and he walked up there with like a 90
00:14:31year old guy with, uh, the, the 90 year old guy had on the sports book, uh, you know,
00:14:39he had on the, whatever you call it, the robe and he was like 90 and he said, we want, we
00:14:49want Jake Paul next.
00:14:51We want the winner of this fight.
00:14:52We want to take on grandpa Jones here.
00:14:56Grandpa's like 95 and he's wearing the robe and he's jabbing when he's like, he's like,
00:15:01he's older than Biden.
00:15:02It was the funniest thing you ever saw.
00:15:06Uh, just, it's outstanding.
00:15:08It really is.
00:15:09People are making fun of him.
00:15:10Like the media, the media makes fun of him and he gets all worked up about it.
00:15:14He brags about it.
00:15:15It's mad.
00:15:20Let's go.
00:15:20Uh, NFL week 11.
00:15:22Of course we talked about tonight's game, but we have big games on Sunday to the chiefs
00:15:25and the bills.
00:15:26It does not get bigger than that.
00:15:29Sean McDermott, the head coach at Buffalo.
00:15:30Of course, he's been on the sideline for every my homes versus Allen matchup that we have
00:15:36had so far in their careers.
00:15:39And he says, uh, it is absolutely worth the price of admission watching those two guys.
00:15:43Yeah, really, uh, fascinating to watch.
00:15:46Um, I mean, when you think about the different matchups, the multiple matchups, um, I think
00:15:51I counted the other day, there's been what, what is this?
00:15:54Seven, eight, something like that.
00:15:57I mean, that's a little bit unusual when we're not in the same division as well.
00:16:00So, um, but sometimes, you know, you come across, um, interactions like that through,
00:16:07you know, scheduling and, but also then playoffs and things.
00:16:10And so, uh, I think it's been great for the league.
00:16:12I think it's great for the fans to be able to watch these two elite quarterbacks go at
00:16:17it, um, even though they're not really playing against each other as everyone likes to make
00:16:21it out to be.
00:16:22Um, so, and I, and I think, and I, I don't know, but I feel like, you know, they, they
00:16:27both have a ton of respect for one another and their game, right?
00:16:30Which is also cool.
00:16:32Well, look, I think that, um, he's tripping for one and I think the league demands it
00:16:38that they play each other because I think that's what football fans want to see.
00:16:44It is what football fans want to see.
00:16:46And it is the, uh, of course, one of the marquee events here this Sunday at four 25 East up
00:16:50in Buffalo at high mark.
00:16:52Uh, we've been giving you a lot of numbers between these two this week, and we have more
00:16:55today.
00:16:56Uh, how about the stats this year coming into this game?
00:17:00Now, most of the time, it's all slanted.
00:17:02My homes has better numbers, but this year it's actually Alan better quarterback rating,
00:17:06more total passing yards, more total passing touchdowns, less interceptions, Alan having
00:17:13a great year as we've discussed a lot, uh, especially considering he's turned over pretty
00:17:18much his entire, uh, weapons, you know, all his weapons and certainly the wide receivers.
00:17:22He's got all new guys there.
00:17:24I mean, listen, uh, you're never going to hear me say a bad word about him.
00:17:28He's a bad ass.
00:17:29The guy does it all.
00:17:30He carries the team on his back.
00:17:32He's a great quarterback, great leader.
00:17:34He's got huge stones.
00:17:36Guy runs the ball better than anyone.
00:17:38Uh, his size is, he's like a brute.
00:17:41I mean, he takes hits like nothing I've ever seen and he's tough as hell.
00:17:46He gets up.
00:17:47He just keeps playing.
00:17:48I mean, think about how many games this guy has missed in his career.
00:17:53Like, I mean, it's, you can count them on one hand.
00:17:55The guy shows up for work every Sunday, come hell or high water, lunch, pal, uh, lunch,
00:18:01pal.
00:18:02He shows up with every week.
00:18:03I love this one too.
00:18:04Most offensive, offensive touchdowns prior to turning 30 years old.
00:18:09Now I've seen, uh, some chief in my home fans grumble about this Scottie.
00:18:13I wanted to show you this Manning, 253 Marino, 250, my homes, two 44, Alan, two 42.
00:18:20Uh, they don't like this list because, uh, of all the rushing touchdowns that Alan has,
00:18:24they say he shouldn't be on this list with those names because he has so many rushing
00:18:29touchdowns and that it doesn't count that he gets rushing touchdowns.
00:18:33That's what they all say in the comments.
00:18:35You know, uh, they both, they both count the same.
00:18:39And he will, uh, be at the head of that list, uh, in two years because he's got a year on
00:18:43my homes, uh, and he'll go past him after my home starts 30 next year.
00:18:48Uh, this is now two and a half still as we get ready for this Sunday, uh, and still trending
00:18:53up, uh, with the 46 and a half for the total on this game.
00:18:58So that's what we got.
00:18:59Uh, we will just dive into this more tomorrow, but, uh, we're on the bills.
00:19:03Uh, let's just put that out there.
00:19:04We're on the bills and I'm scared to death.
00:19:06I'm scared to death.
00:19:07He's 12 one-on-one when he's a dog.
00:19:09I'm scared to death that a spread I'm scared to death of my homes.
00:19:13I'm scared to death that a cheese and I wish ill will on all of them.
00:19:19This is the, uh, kickoff of the second half of coast to coast on a Thursday.
00:19:27If you notice, uh, the time we do a three hour show, and this would be the second half
00:19:32kickoff as we get ready to round the corner and head for home, the home stretch, the coup
00:19:38de gras.
00:19:39So we will now refer to this point of the show.
00:19:42Every day is the second half kickoff.
00:19:44It's money time.
00:19:46I like that.
00:19:47Uh, we could do that and I got no problem there.
00:19:49So let's go.
00:19:49We're taking off the second half with the Ravens and the Steelers.
00:19:54You'll be there.
00:19:54The place, the Steelers play on Sunday at one o'clock.
00:19:58Of course, Lamar Jackson in his, in his career, Scott, he's had some problems with the Steelers.
00:20:02Now I know this, the Steelers have beaten the Ravens seven of the last eight times they
00:20:07have played, uh, which of course would be in the last four years.
00:20:11Lamar's only played in half of those games because he's been hurt in four of them, but
00:20:17there are one in three in the games Lamar has played.
00:20:19He's one in three, only four Tuddy, seven picks, five fumbles has not played well against
00:20:24them.
00:20:25Tell us Lamar.
00:20:25Why is that?
00:20:29I don't know what it is, man.
00:20:31It's just that I believe that rival, uh, atmosphere.
00:20:34Um, I believe last year we, we supposed to have them, but things just didn't go our way.
00:20:39You know, the football guys wasn't on our side, but, um, so holding up this new year,
00:20:44I'm looking forward to the game.
00:20:47So am I.
00:20:48We'll see you Sunday, baby.
00:20:50And there's no one I respect more than him, uh, watching him play football.
00:20:54But, uh, you know, I gotta tell you, I've gone to several of these, uh, games.
00:21:00And it is as good as the playoffs.
00:21:05And I have been to 15 super bowls and this game has the same feel as a playoff or super
00:21:14bowl.
00:21:14It really does.
00:21:16And when you're there and this guy is over center and he drops back and starts scrambling
00:21:23around and you got guys like TJ watch chasing him around the football field and you're in
00:21:28that crowd because I'm down like 15 rows from the field and I, you can literally feel
00:21:34the place shaking.
00:21:35You can feel it shaking.
00:21:37And it is the most unbelievable atmosphere.
00:21:41Uh, you can even fathom.
00:21:43And it is the most exciting moment in sports is watching the Pittsburgh Steelers take on
00:21:50this particular individual, like watching him run around and you are just scared to
00:21:56death of every second that he has a football in his hands, that something bad is going
00:22:00to happen to you.
00:22:01And then when you beat him, you're just euphoric.
00:22:04It is a rush.
00:22:06And I am telling you, I'm going to this game.
00:22:08It's a rush, rush, baby.
00:22:12It is a rush, rush, baby.
00:22:13That's for sure.
00:22:14Uh, we played that clip of Tomlin yesterday talking about guys who have switched sides.
00:22:18Obviously Patrick Queen, uh, this is his first time facing his old team, uh, in Baltimore.
00:22:25And, you know, he hasn't really talked about it much.
00:22:28Seemed yesterday.
00:22:28He didn't want to talk about it really.
00:22:31But you can tell, uh, he's still holding some bad feelings of his old team that they, uh,
00:22:36basically didn't want him and didn't offer him a deal last year.
00:22:39Here's Patrick Queen.
00:22:40Do you feel like that wasn't the case in Baltimore?
00:22:43Are you frustrated in any sort of way about the way that things ended there?
00:22:46Oh, I mean, yeah, uh, see, I don't want to answer this.
00:22:51Um, I wasn't offered to go back.
00:22:55Um, I think, I don't know if I said that or not, but that in public or not, um, I wasn't
00:22:59wanted back.
00:23:00I didn't get offered back.
00:23:01And, um, you know, it's definitely kind of upsetting, you know, being there for four
00:23:05years and the bond that you grow with your teammates and stuff.
00:23:07Um, but at the end of the day, like I said, like if your first few months, you definitely
00:23:12go through those feelings.
00:23:12Um, and now after playing games, you just go by, um, you just want to win games.
00:23:17You want to win with your teammates, your new teammates.
00:23:18You want to bond with those guys.
00:23:20Everything that you do is for the organization that you're in now.
00:23:23Like I said, I will have feelings, obviously, anybody in my position would this week.
00:23:26So I'm just taking one day at a time, whatever happens happens.
00:23:30Listen, this guy is another one.
00:23:32He is a violent individual.
00:23:35I love the fact that this guy is on my football team.
00:23:40I mean, to tell you, like, I mean, have you seen this guy?
00:23:44He is ripped out of his mind.
00:23:46And when he's playing, he is so lit.
00:23:48He is just lit.
00:23:49He's all over the football field.
00:23:51He is another one of these ball Hawk guys.
00:23:52He's crazy.
00:23:55You know, I, I know they traded for, uh, Smith last year with Rocon Smith.
00:23:59And I get that.
00:24:00Imagine not even offering that guy a deal, uh, to come back and play for your team.
00:24:06Like he's, he's a bad-ass, uh, as we've talked about plenty of times, but, and it
00:24:11sounds that, you know, I think he's going to have a little extra juice, uh, against
00:24:14the Ravens.
00:24:15Cause it sounds like he wants to give Harbaugh, the Costa and those guys, uh, the business
00:24:19in the front office.
00:24:20That's right.
00:24:20So I, I expect a big play out of Patrick Queen.
00:24:24I want him to be Ferguson from Fast Times at Ridgemont High.
00:24:30Uh, Arthur Smith says there is a Justin Fields package of plays that they just might use
00:24:36on Sunday.
00:24:37Here's what I know.
00:24:38Uh, if I was a coach or any coach of a team, would you be sharing that information?
00:24:43If it was serious, like, why would you tell me?
00:24:46Why would you tell everybody?
00:24:47Hey guys, I'm gonna let you know, we have stuff for Justin.
00:24:50And I think this is the week that we're going to bust it out.
00:24:52It's game and ship.
00:24:53It's to make Harbaugh and the Ravens go, Oh, I guess we got to prepare for fields.
00:24:58They're not running anything with fields on Sunday.
00:25:01And that's all just nonsense.
00:25:03Why would he tell him?
00:25:04You think Tomlin would want him?
00:25:05Why the hell did you tell him that they were going to run a Justin Fields package?
00:25:07It's all planted.
00:25:09They planted that, uh, with Arthur Smith just to make them think a little bit more.
00:25:14And not only that, how about this?
00:25:15I saw today that Art Smith is like one of the names that are popping up for head coaching
00:25:21jobs.
00:25:21And I thought to myself, we already saw that, uh, movie and it was horrible.
00:25:26I left before the movie ended.
00:25:28He was horrible in Atlanta.
00:25:30I don't care what anybody says.
00:25:31He's in the perfect job right now to save his ass, his career, that that team is, they
00:25:37went from 20 a game to 31 a game.
00:25:40It went from 250 yards a game to 400 yards a game.
00:25:45It's making him look good.
00:25:46He should just keep doing that because any talk of him being a head coach again in the
00:25:50NFL, I think is way ahead of itself.
00:25:53Way ahead.
00:25:54When, uh, you, uh, had the record that he had down in Atlanta, it takes more than half
00:26:00a season of good offense in Pittsburgh to say, Oh, you know what?
00:26:04We got to get this guy back to the front of the line.
00:26:06Uh, I mean, look at this guy slow down.
00:26:10Okay.
00:26:10He's got a, he needs a couple of years, maybe even more than that of consistently putting
00:26:15points on the board, uh, in Pittsburgh before anybody's going to drag Arthur Smith back
00:26:21a stale bread, uh, as a head coach.
00:26:23He was awful.
00:26:24Uh, minus three for the Ravens, 48 and a half.
00:26:28No change since yesterday.
00:26:29Uh, for that one.
00:26:30Yeah.
00:26:30I got, uh, you know, everyone.
00:26:32Thanks.
00:26:33Look at this.
00:26:34Yeah.
00:26:35It's by five, 65%.
00:26:37They're going to win.
00:26:38Oh, three and a half.
00:26:40I already betted at three and a half.
00:26:42We told you Monday, get the three and a half, uh, because it probably isn't going to stick
00:26:46around all week.
00:26:47And sure enough, it has not.
00:26:49Uh, next the jets in the cold Sunday.
00:26:51Now, Steichen told us early in the week that it was going to be Joe Flacco.
00:26:56Something happened, uh, in the 36 hours after that, because here's Steichen yesterday.
00:27:01Uh, I basically saying, oh, I changed my mind.
00:27:04It's going to be Anthony Richards about, you know, I've said the process, the process for
00:27:08a long time.
00:27:09And what I mean by that, it's, it's the attention to detail and everything he does, um, from
00:27:14the classrooms to the walkthroughs to practice, to the weight room, all those little things,
00:27:20right.
00:27:21It just got to be at a higher standard.
00:27:23And, uh, that's what was talked about.
00:27:25And, uh, that's where we went with it.
00:27:27And so that was discussed with him two weeks ago.
00:27:30Um, and those are the, those conversations that took place.
00:27:33And over the last two weeks, um, he's made strides in those areas, big time strides,
00:27:38um, becoming a pros pro.
00:27:40And is he a finished product?
00:27:41No, he's not.
00:27:42And it's my job to help him get there along with the rest of the coaching staff.
00:27:45Um, but he's a hell of a talent.
00:27:47Like I said, we've never lost faith or belief in him and his abilities.
00:27:51Um, and he's shown stripes.
00:27:52He really has.
00:27:53And with that being said, he will be our starter again.
00:27:56He's going to start this week.
00:27:57He's going to start the rest of the season.
00:27:59All right.
00:28:00And, uh, we're going to go from there.
00:28:02I don't at this point, believe a word that comes out of this guy's mouth anymore.
00:28:06He's flipped more than pancakes.
00:28:08I'm sorry.
00:28:09There is no way that he made that decision.
00:28:12That right there was Ursae walking into his office after he told everybody on Monday morning,
00:28:17Flacco was saying as a starter, and he said, put my number five overall pick, uh, kid in
00:28:24there and have him playing quarterback.
00:28:26Enough of this nonsense.
00:28:27He was told to do that.
00:28:28That was not his decision.
00:28:29You're right.
00:28:31But we're still talking pain day skinny, but sometimes, uh, spewing supersedes, uh, the
00:28:37football and Carver high.
00:28:38I know you have a baseball story to tell everyone.
00:28:41I, yes.
00:28:42Uh, and this, uh, really interests me and you and some Yankee fans out there.
00:28:47Uh, they found the replacement.
00:28:48It looks like for John Sterling in the Yankee radio booth.
00:28:52Uh, and it's one of our favorites, Dave Sims.
00:28:55Uh, soul man, one of the original voices on WFAN in New York when it started in 1986.
00:29:03And it's been the play-by-play voice of the Mariners on TV for a very long time.
00:29:08Uh, always been a New York guy, despite being in Seattle with the Mariners, uh, coming back
00:29:13home and he'll be the Yankee radio voice, uh, alongside Susan looks like a couple of
00:29:18year deal.
00:29:19Uh, he knows that he's, this is not a long-term answer for the media.
00:29:22He's 71.
00:29:24You know, but John was 86.
00:29:26So let's get a five year stretch here from the soul, man.
00:29:30And, uh, he's just the greatest guy ever.
00:29:34Uh, I don't think there's, uh, anyone in the world that doesn't love Dave.
00:29:37He's really an incredible human being.
00:29:40Uh, just a fantastic guy reaches out.
00:29:42Like when I was, uh, I have an open heart surgery.
00:29:45Here's Dave Sims on the phone.
00:29:46Like what?
00:29:47Like this guy's really special, cool guy.
00:29:51I already reached out to him, uh, this afternoon to congratulate him.
00:29:55He's back home where he belongs.
00:29:57Yes, he is.
00:29:58That's great news that they will be doing the Yankee games now going forward.
00:30:01Uh, let's get through the rest of this NFL, uh, that we have, uh, the chargers and the
00:30:06Bengals on Sunday night in SoFi.
00:30:09Of course, the Bengals are really, uh, hanging by a thread here.
00:30:13They need to start reeling off some wins if they are going to get back in this thing and
00:30:17get that last playoff spot in the AFC.
00:30:20Uh, here's Joe Burrow.
00:30:21Of course, him and Jamar Chase have been lighting it up all year long.
00:30:26Uh, and Burrow was having some fun yesterday.
00:30:27He had a lot of laughs at his press conference, but here he is telling everyone all the ways
00:30:32that Jamar Chase tells him that he wants the ball.
00:30:35Sometimes it's on the sidelines.
00:30:38Sometimes it's a individual conversation in the locker room.
00:30:41Sometimes it's through you guys.
00:30:43Um, you know, there's, there's a lot of different ways that a receiver can tell you,
00:30:47Hey, get me the ball.
00:30:56I'm not sure he said that directly to me.
00:30:58No, but maybe if a glance tells me that it might be the first one.
00:31:05I'm sorry, guys.
00:31:09Oh, he's so getting involved.
00:31:11Look, I want to know what the number is because I have like the chargers have the fewest points
00:31:16allowed defense in the league.
00:31:18They have orange Sherbert playing great.
00:31:21Jim Harbaugh is winning.
00:31:23They are six and three.
00:31:25They look fantastic.
00:31:26They're a playoff team right now.
00:31:27And I still feel like the bangles are going to go in there Sunday night and beat them.
00:31:32I really do.
00:31:33I think that Joe Burrow, they can't afford another loss.
00:31:38This is it for them.
00:31:40This is it.
00:31:41Do or die.
00:31:42Desperado.
00:31:44Uh, it is do or die.
00:31:46Desperado.
00:31:46The chargers are now minus one and a half on Sunday night and the totals and the totals
00:31:5447 and a half.
00:31:56The Cincinnati has been scoring, uh, as you know, you know, you see, they don't win games
00:32:01because they can't stop anybody, but they've been scoring tons of points that Bengal offense
00:32:07with silk and chase against what the chargers D has been doing this year.
00:32:12That's going to be fun on Sunday night and we'll determine the game.
00:32:15And, uh, you know, the charger offense isn't great, but the Bengals defense sucks.
00:32:20I think it's actually an over, uh, despite how good the charger D is.
00:32:23I like the over 47 and a half in the game.
00:32:26I think both teams can get into the twenties.
00:32:28And I think I lean with you on the Bengals here because if they, if they lose this game,
00:32:34there'll be four and seven and they'll, and that's almost, you know, what do you got?
00:32:39You got to run the table to get to 10 and seven at that point.
00:32:42Uh, if you go to four and seven, it's four dealers twice, they got two games with the
00:32:48Steelers.
00:32:49They got, but you know, they have a lot of tough games left, uh, down the stress.
00:32:53I gotta be honest.
00:32:54I'm worried about, uh, playing them.
00:32:56This guy burrow can beat you six ways till Sunday.
00:33:00Like he is the real deal.
00:33:03And, you know, I think they've had some horrible luck.
00:33:06They, I have never seen a team score 33 points a week on average.
00:33:11And they lose like the record for teams that scored 33 points in NFL games is literally,
00:33:17it's staggering.
00:33:18I think I sent you something.
00:33:19They're like, it's staggering.
00:33:21There's like, they're like 25 and three, except the Bengals who lose every time.
00:33:28Uh, 20, I actually have that, uh, here for, where was the 25 and three?
00:33:33Uh, you gave me the passer rating stuff with Burrow versus Herbert.
00:33:37Uh, what's the numbers that I had there, but I will find I'll scroll back and I'll
00:33:40get, I'm telling you that teams that scored 33 or more, the record is staggering for the
00:33:47wins, except for the Bengals, the Bengals scored 33.
00:33:50They lose every game.
00:33:51They play, they lose all the time.
00:33:53Uh, that's for sure.
00:33:54Uh, I'll save this.
00:33:55I'm going to give you one more spew news thing, because I actually think it's important.
00:33:59And we mentioned this in the break too, which was, uh, the chiefs are going to be without
00:34:06their, uh, big kicker, uh, Harrison Butker out this Sunday.
00:34:11And he's going to go on IR and miss at least four weeks.
00:34:15He's got to get a meniscus injury cleaned up.
00:34:17Now, normally I really wouldn't, you know, kickers are kickers, but not him, Scotty.
00:34:22How many big kicks does he hit for the chiefs?
00:34:25Uh, Butker.
00:34:26So that actually is very important, especially when you talk about this game, which is the
00:34:31biggest game, uh, you know, going this week, that's huge up in Buffalo that they're not
00:34:35going to have their kicker.
00:34:36They signed this, uh, hack that was with the jets last week off of their practice squad.
00:34:41Uh, so he'll be basically the kicker for the chiefs on Sunday in Buffalo.
00:34:45I like hearing that I'll take it.
00:34:47I don't care.
00:34:47I don't care.
00:34:48No Butker.
00:34:49Get him out.
00:34:50That is a loss to their cog.
00:34:55I mean, the bottom line is that guys, uh, you know, he's good for three or four field
00:35:00goals every week.
00:35:02And he's good for, uh, clutch ones.
00:35:05Uh, he's 54 yarders, uh, in the wind with, uh, 10 seconds left.
00:35:11Like he's good for those kicks.
00:35:12So, uh, I'm glad he won't be there.
00:35:14We'll come back.
00:35:15Uh, it's been a long couple of weeks for the Chicago bears.
00:35:18I got Caleb Williams for you.
00:35:20Uh, basically denying that he had anything to do with the offensive coordinator getting
00:35:24fired.
00:35:24Eber flues, uh, denying that, uh, ownership's big meeting with him with Monday.
00:35:29Uh, they weren't giving him a vote of confidence.
00:35:31Uh, it's getting worse and worse in Chicago, uh, for all of these guys.
00:35:35And we'll talk about that week on that.
00:35:37It very well should be.
00:35:39I mean, they're, they have fallen off a cliff.
00:35:41We'll talk to one of our all-time favorites, Tim Graham at the top of the hour in shabba
00:35:49da, getting ready for the bills and chiefs and see what he thinks of that.
00:35:53But Kerr loss out of the lineup for Kansas city, looking forward to that game on a Sunday.
00:35:59Uh, certainly I told you before, I'm very upset that I'm going to the steal a Raven
00:36:04game in Pittsburgh and that I have some.
00:36:06Whacked out dinner reservation at some fancy restaurant.
00:36:10And I'm, I'm really upset about it.
00:36:12Like I may do the whole Morenci with the phone on the table in the five-star restaurant with
00:36:18the game going, I'm going to watch the bills and chiefs.
00:36:21I don't care about eating at the fancy restaurant.
00:36:24So I think I'm going to ruin it for everyone.
00:36:25I'm going to start drinking and have the game going and the volume turned up.
00:36:31And they'll say, you're not allowed to do that in here.
00:36:33And I'll say, get away from me.
00:36:35I would, uh, I pass on the dinner.
00:36:39Uh, if that game was going on, I mean, that's like, that's like, I told you, that's the
00:36:43game of the year.
00:36:46You gotta watch the, it's, it's, it's the, a number one, uh, matchup this week, right
00:36:52after the stealer game when that game's on you moron.
00:36:58Don't want to miss that one.
00:36:59Uh, let's go to the bears next.
00:37:01Of course, they've had a rough couple of weeks.
00:37:03Uh, they fired offensive coordinator, Shane Waldron earlier this week.
00:37:06The report was, is that a lot of the players had a say in that Caleb Williams says, don't
00:37:12look at me.
00:37:13I just work here.
00:37:14I would say, uh, the frustration I think was seen, um, but input and things like that.
00:37:20I don't think that that goes much into, you know, me having, uh, control over something
00:37:27like that, like something that just happened, um, and, and, and that situation.
00:37:32Um, I think the frustrations were, were shown and seen, um, but input and things like that.
00:37:38Um, there's not much input that I think I'd put in.
00:37:41Um, you know, I've been the, been the young guy, been the rook, um, and, um, you know,
00:37:46going out there trying to make plays for the guys and win for, win for the bears, um, that
00:37:51could affect, you know, much of anything of their decision.
00:37:55Yeah.
00:37:56You don't do that either.
00:37:56When, when, for the bears, that's part of you doing nothing.
00:37:59He does nothing.
00:38:00He doesn't, he has no say.
00:38:02I mean, honestly, he's already calling the shots in Chicago.
00:38:07And you said it this week, we discussed this at some level.
00:38:11One of these days they're going to whack everybody except him.
00:38:14And then he's going to pick who he wants, uh, running the Chicago bears.
00:38:18They have been frankly, in my view, one of the laughingstocks of the NFL since 85.
00:38:23I mean, let's just face facts.
00:38:25They can't even, they can't even win playoff games when it's like, you know, 20 yards away
00:38:30from them.
00:38:30Remember when, I'll never forget when Pinero shank a bottom is that kicking in the playoff
00:38:35game.
00:38:35I mean, honestly, the bears suck.
00:38:37Let's just stop.
00:38:37We are getting, we are getting closer to Eberflus, uh, probably going to now Monday.
00:38:42He had a big meeting with George McCaskey, Kevin Warren, and Ryan Poles.
00:38:46So, uh, the media asked him yesterday if they gave him any assurances that he would have
00:38:50his job, uh, going forward or at the end of the season.
00:38:53Here he is.
00:38:54You know what?
00:38:54Uh, we were not talking about that.
00:38:56We were talking about answers going forward.
00:38:58And that's, that's what the conversation was about because they're not going to tell
00:39:03you when they're going to do you.
00:39:05No, uh, they would not tell him that they will strip that thing down to the studs.
00:39:10Uh, at the end of the year is what they are going to do.
00:39:13Uh, they have the Packers coming into soldier field this week.
00:39:16Packers off of a buy five and a half point favorites on the road.
00:39:2040 and a half is the total.
00:39:23I think, come on, the Packers are a playoff team.
00:39:25The Packers are better in all facets.
00:39:29I say the Packers are better.
00:39:31I think the Bears, I agree.
00:39:32Uh, they're, they're right on the edge of fork city.
00:39:36I mean, they are right there.
00:39:37Like there's the, the kids about to stab them with the fork.
00:39:40I mean, at the dinner table, right on that top of the hand, right through the top of
00:39:45the hand.
00:39:45Ah, just, uh, just stay under that eight and a half for me.
00:39:49That's it.
00:39:50Stay under eight and a half and I'll be happy, which, which we're looking good with here.
00:39:54We get another one this week.
00:39:55We're looking real good for that under eight and a half, uh, if we can get there.
00:39:59All right.
00:39:59I'll give you a couple of these other guys tomorrow.
00:40:01We'll do Dan Campbell, Aaron Rogers, et cetera.
00:40:03Uh, then, uh, the NFL combine.
00:40:06I know you're always excited about, uh, there was talk of maybe leaving Indianapolis.
00:40:11That's not going to happen.
00:40:12Uh, they will stay in Indianapolis at least through 2026.
00:40:16So two more years down in Indy.
00:40:19They love Indy because they have all those tunnels under the road with the hotel.
00:40:2310 minutes from the airport to downtown.
00:40:2510 minutes to the airport.
00:40:27When you get back to the airport to leave, you got the pacer lounge for breakfast right
00:40:31there before you catch your flight.
00:40:33I love the shrimp cocktail at the Elmo joint.
00:40:36They love that.
00:40:37So they never leave it in Indianapolis.
00:40:39Come on.
00:40:43Great stadiums.
00:40:44Great arenas.
00:40:45Great hotels.
00:40:47Yeah.
00:40:48I don't think there's nightlife there.
00:40:50I really don't.
00:40:51I've never even seen a hooker.
00:40:53No.
00:40:53Wow.
00:40:56Uh, look who it is.
00:40:57Tim Graham of the athletic joining us.
00:41:00Uh, one of my all-time favorites in my career.
00:41:03And I got to ask you seriously, dude, cause you and I've been to a ton of fights.
00:41:07Uh, a lot of boxing, uh, long before you were covering the NFL, you were doing stuff in
00:41:14Vegas and that's when we became friends.
00:41:17So I've known you forever.
00:41:19We both have gotten old together.
00:41:21We were making fun of Tyson and Paul earlier.
00:41:24Uh, what do you think of that fiasco and the job they're doing selling that to the public?
00:41:30I don't mind it as a gimmick, the fight itself.
00:41:32Uh, the interesting conversations I get in are people who can't even imagine that Mike
00:41:38Tyson is going to lose this fight.
00:41:40And I think it's pretty much a certainty that he's going to lose this fight.
00:41:44And the reason I do is because I saw this guy, I covered, I was at his fights at the
00:41:49tail end of his career.
00:41:50This was when he supposedly was training.
00:41:53It was 20, you know, 15 years ago.
00:41:55He was in better shape.
00:41:55He's lived.
00:41:56There's a lot of mileage.
00:41:58And when you're fighting, uh, anyone conditioning is more, way more important than being able
00:42:03to, you know, donkey punch a guy.
00:42:06So I just think that Jake Paul has been training.
00:42:09He's been sparring.
00:42:10He knows how to take a punch.
00:42:12Mike Tyson isn't what he used to be.
00:42:14People are remembering that, but they're, they're remembering the glory years.
00:42:17They're not remembering what it was like at the end.
00:42:19He was shot 15 years ago.
00:42:21I think that, I think, I think Paul wins the fight.
00:42:24I do too.
00:42:25Based on, uh, I saw his last fights with you and he was like, he was a mashed potatoes
00:42:31then.
00:42:33Yeah.
00:42:33I saw a fight in Louisville.
00:42:35Um, his, uh, I don't know if it was his last one, but he fought a guy in Louisville.
00:42:40I can't remember the guy's name and I should be able to, cause I covered, I actually wrote
00:42:43about the fight and Tyson was just sitting on the ropes and he just quit.
00:42:47And he's just like, I don't want to do this anymore.
00:42:49I remember McBride, I think might've been the guy's name or, uh, sand Sanders.
00:42:56Anyways, it was, it was, uh, it was an embarrassment for, for him and the sport.
00:43:01And 15 years later, I don't think he got better.
00:43:04Yeah.
00:43:05So one last thought from you, when you think of your career in Vegas, how that town has
00:43:12changed and exploded into a sports Mecca, uh, for everything across the board, they're
00:43:17building a baseball stadium.
00:43:19I don't think the NBA is far behind the NHL and NFL are already entrenched their college
00:43:25basketball, final fours, conference championship games, bowl games, the NFL draft, the sphere
00:43:35formula one.
00:43:36Are you kidding me?
00:43:37Can you believe what that town's turned into from when you and I lived there?
00:43:41No, I can't.
00:43:41I mean, it makes sense.
00:43:43And when I was living there, we thought it, it made sense, but we were told over and over
00:43:49again by lawmakers, by the commissioners, by anybody who had to say that it would never
00:43:54happen.
00:43:55They were adamant.
00:43:56And it really wasn't until daily fantasy, uh, shattered a lot of barriers for gambling
00:44:01and made it making gambling legal that they just, they threw up their hands and said,
00:44:04we can't, we can't compete with this.
00:44:07We just going to have to do it.
00:44:08But I left Las Vegas for Buffalo in part, because Vegas was never underscore boldface
00:44:16italic, never going to be a major league city.
00:44:19And here it is.
00:44:21You mentioned the NBA being far behind.
00:44:22I think you could argue the NBA is already there with all the different things that they
00:44:25do with their, you know, the, their, I mean, the NBA kind of was the first there, even
00:44:30though there's not a team, but yeah, for everything there, the formula one race was also
00:44:34something the city was never going to allow that to happen because they didn't want to
00:44:37shut down the strip.
00:44:38And now you look at it, you know, all these years later, it's of course, we're going to
00:44:42have formula one there and we're to shut down the strip.
00:44:45I mean, they shut down the city for that race.
00:44:48They shut down the city.
00:44:49They don't care about anybody when that thing comes to town and all those celebrities, let's
00:44:53talk about your bills game this week.
00:44:56It's phenomenal.
00:44:58I know you probably heard me talking about I got to go to some restaurant and I'm not
00:45:02going to be able to watch it in an ideal setting filled with liquor and foul language.
00:45:07I'm going to be in some five-star restaurant.
00:45:09So I'm going to ruin that experience for the people I'm going to dinner with.
00:45:12I'm planning that.
00:45:13But what was your thought when you heard today that Butker can't play in the game?
00:45:16Because he's a huge piece to their winning.
00:45:20Sure.
00:45:20He is almost one of those.
00:45:23It's a psychological thing with Harrison Butker when he comes out on the field game over.
00:45:27And for a Bills fan, he's the guy who sent 13 seconds into overtime.
00:45:32If not for Harrison Butker, 13 seconds isn't a pejorative here in Western New York.
00:45:38They won by three points last year in the playoffs here in Orchard Park.
00:45:43So yeah, Butker being out.
00:45:45Now, the Bills luck or the cynic, the bad luck Bills or the people who throw up their
00:45:51hands regarding the Chiefs and all the breaks that they get.
00:45:54And I watch Schrader come in and just be lights out.
00:45:57But yeah, it's a huge loss, I think, psychologically and in terms of the actual chances of the
00:46:04Chiefs winning that Butker's not there.
00:46:06Have you ever seen anything like this kryptonite for them that they can beat them in regular
00:46:13season games in Arrowhead or in Orchard Park?
00:46:16And then in the playoffs, they can't beat them to save their ass.
00:46:21Yeah, you know, they're that close.
00:46:23I mean, the teams are that good.
00:46:25They're both elite teams.
00:46:27And I think it's just I think it's coincidental of when it happens when the Bills win in the
00:46:33regular season and can't get past him in the playoffs.
00:46:37It's just been a series of events.
00:46:39I don't think you can look at it as any kind of as something that the Bills are doing wrong.
00:46:43Obviously, the collapse with 13 seconds three years ago in Arrowhead Stadium, you know,
00:46:50that's you can't that's never going to repeat itself.
00:46:53And the Bills shot themselves in the foot as much as the Chiefs played elite there towards
00:46:58the end, the sublime offense that Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelsey can
00:47:05were able to orchestrate.
00:47:07They're not doing that anymore, though.
00:47:09That's the thing that I'm looking at this year.
00:47:11Patrick Mahomes is down 50 yards a game from his career average.
00:47:15He's throwing more interceptions than he's ever thrown and fewer touchdown passes than
00:47:19he's ever thrown.
00:47:21They're leading their guy, their leader from scrimmage is Kareem Hunt, who's who's only
00:47:28been there for six games.
00:47:29And Rishi Rice, I think, is third or fourth, and he's only played four games.
00:47:33I mean, they're not moving the ball.
00:47:35This is a Steve Spagnuolo team, at least so far this year.
00:47:38And and the Bills have been able to solve some pretty good defenses so far this year.
00:47:44So I do think the Bills win this game again, though, like you say, and I was talking to
00:47:47guys in the locker room yesterday.
00:47:49This is going to be the first of two matchups between these teams.
00:47:51They are assuming it.
00:47:53They're planning for it.
00:47:55This game, they know, is just a regular season game.
00:47:58And they know they're going to see these guys again, win or lose.
00:48:00Well, it's huge, though, because they're a game behind them as the two seed.
00:48:04And then what they need to do is beat them.
00:48:06And they need the Steelers to beat them on Christmas Day.
00:48:09And then they somehow get another crack at them in the below in the playoffs, because
00:48:16I'm telling you, they have to go back to that arrowhead.
00:48:18It's their worst nightmare.
00:48:21Yeah, it is.
00:48:21Now they've won there in the regular season against actually done well in Arrowhead.
00:48:25You're right.
00:48:26You're right.
00:48:28I think it's I think it's fascinating with the way the Chiefs are winning this year.
00:48:33And I called them in my column.
00:48:34They're a new brand of annoying.
00:48:36I mean, this is if you're not a Chiefs fan, it's annoying to watch the Chiefs win these
00:48:41games in the fashion that they're doing it right.
00:48:44And for them to have be undefeated.
00:48:47I mean, one loss, just one loss along the way.
00:48:50If Isaiah likely doesn't trim, you know, trims his toenails before the game on the
00:48:54opener, then, you know, the Ravens beat him on opening day.
00:48:57And you're looking at a game for first place in the AFC on Sunday in Orchard Park.
00:49:04But the bills, you know, only two losses.
00:49:06They could be if the Chiefs win this game, then nobody's going to catch him, you know,
00:49:10for the, you know, with with what five games left.
00:49:13So and then the Chiefs also have a pretty tough schedule.
00:49:16I mean, I know your Steelers, your Steelers notwithstanding, Scotty.
00:49:19Yeah, listen, I'm going to that game.
00:49:21I'm going to Steelers Ravens.
00:49:23And I am.
00:49:24It is like a rush.
00:49:25I said earlier, rush, rush, baby.
00:49:27Going to watch the Steelers play this Lamar Jackson in Pittsburgh.
00:49:30It's like nothing else.
00:49:31Tim, it's great to see you.
00:49:32You're fantastic.
00:49:33You're awesome.
00:49:33We love it.
00:49:34Check out Tim's work in the athletic.
00:49:38Enjoy the game Sunday in the below.
00:49:39We'll see you again soon, Tim.
00:49:41Always great having you on.
00:49:42Adam Kaplan is our NFL insider.
00:49:44He's covered the NFL for almost 30 years.
00:49:46You can follow him on exit Kaplan NFL.
00:49:48He's here every Thursday on Coast to Coast.
00:49:51We do a double shot.
00:49:52And I know fans get really excited about Bust a Cap in your ass,
00:49:56where Adam does all of his spread picks.
00:49:59And we do that in the second segment.
00:50:01So let's start with Thursday night Intel.
00:50:03For this great game tonight in your backyard at the link in Philadelphia.
00:50:07It's Washington against Philadelphia and a battle in the east.
00:50:13And of course, the Eagles are on top of the division now after the Steelers
00:50:17stole one at the dump in Landover on Sunday.
00:50:20What a game that was.
00:50:21It was an amazing game.
00:50:22You and I talked about that last week.
00:50:24But look, when you look at Washington situation, let's call it like it is.
00:50:27They're well ahead of schedule.
00:50:28No one is expecting to be a playoff team, which they almost certainly will be.
00:50:31They've got a very good schedule, really, the rest of the season.
00:50:34In fact, I would argue, based on my strength of schedule,
00:50:37that the commanders have a better schedule than the Eagles do.
00:50:39Now, let's start with the commanders for this game.
00:50:42It's pretty significant what they're dealing with on the offensive line.
00:50:45When you look at it, both tackles are hurt.
00:50:47The center, be honest, will play tonight with three different injuries.
00:50:50They're really banged up.
00:50:51Their offensive line, quite frankly, is overachieved.
00:50:53This does worry me.
00:50:54The Eagles' pass rush, which has not been great, it's getting better.
00:50:58Now, Vic Fangio, the Eagles' defense coordinator, does not like the Blantz.
00:51:00He plays more of a coverage-based defense.
00:51:02I'll be interested to see what they do tonight.
00:51:04That's a great matchup.
00:51:06Vic Fangio versus Cliff Kingsbury, the offensive coordinator, who, by the way,
00:51:11of Washington, interviewed for the Eagles' offensive coordinator job.
00:51:15Didn't get it because they could not agree on staffing,
00:51:18or he would have gotten it over Kellen Moore, which is kind of interesting.
00:51:21But the commanders are very banged up on the offensive line.
00:51:25Their right tackle, Andrew Wiley, has a shoulder injury.
00:51:28They thought he was going to start last week.
00:51:29He wound up not playing at the last minute,
00:51:31so they had to make a last-minute change and help out Trent Scott at right tackle.
00:51:37Their left tackle, it just depends who's available.
00:51:40I'm told Cornelius Lucas, they felt a lot better about him playing this week than last week.
00:51:45Brandon Coleman, their rookie out of TCU, who they like a lot,
00:51:47who can play guard, right tackle, left tackle.
00:51:50They want him to be their left tackle.
00:51:51He now has a shoulder injury, so Scott will get the Eagles in a minute.
00:51:54But we sum up the commanders' issues.
00:51:57Right now, they're all on offense, save for one issue.
00:52:00Marshawn Lattimore will not play.
00:52:02He has yet to practice in the last three weeks.
00:52:05It's been almost four weeks since he's practiced.
00:52:07Going back eight years, Scott, he's had hamstring problems throughout his career,
00:52:11going back to Ohio State, and he's not playing.
00:52:13They don't have an exact timeline.
00:52:15First, they want to get him into practice first,
00:52:17so he can learn the scheme and then decide exactly when he's going to play.
00:52:20But he's not playing tonight.
00:52:21Sander Still, their second rounder, who I'm told will move to nickel
00:52:25once Lattimore's ready to play on the outside.
00:52:27He's still going to play on the outside right now.
00:52:28Mike Sander Still, their outstanding second rounder out of Michigan.
00:52:32They got this guy to shore up their back end and be ready for the playoffs.
00:52:39Do you believe that the loss to Pittsburgh,
00:52:43coupled with a loss tonight, if they lose in Philly to the Eagles,
00:52:47which could very well happen, would create a snowball effect
00:52:51where they'd be starting to look possibly like they could be in trouble?
00:52:54Because there's a lot of good teams in the NFC,
00:52:57and they went out and gave up three draft picks for Lattimore,
00:53:00and the guy's got a shot hamstring.
00:53:03He's a shut down guy.
00:53:05There's no doubt about it.
00:53:06But I can tell you, I loved...
00:53:07I was looking at my chops.
00:53:08He wasn't playing against Pittsburgh last week,
00:53:10and they went in and won the game.
00:53:12I mean, Scott, we talked about this last Thursday when I told you it wasn't out yet,
00:53:15but what I was hearing, he wasn't going to play.
00:53:16In fact, they didn't have an exact timeline.
00:53:18We're still there.
00:53:19We're still there.
00:53:20We don't know exactly.
00:53:22Now, here's the thing, though, when you look at this game.
00:53:26Dan Quinn is a really good head coach.
00:53:28You know what happened in Atlanta?
00:53:29He really should have won that Super Bowl.
00:53:31I think we all know that against the Patriots, somehow they lost,
00:53:33but there's a major buy-in.
00:53:35They don't have a lot of talented players,
00:53:37but what they think internally is there's a major buy-in
00:53:40from the players with these schemes and the coaching staff.
00:53:43They play with a lot of discipline.
00:53:44Now, on your point about what would happen if they lose this game,
00:53:47could there be a snowball effect?
00:53:49They had the emotional win, a shocking win at the end.
00:53:53We know what happened against Chicago that game.
00:53:54They shouldn't have won one on a Hail Mary.
00:53:57You have an extremely physical and tough game.
00:53:59They blew a 10-point lead, Scott, on your point.
00:54:02Very physical game that they lost last week to your Steelers.
00:54:05Now, this is...
00:54:06Look, it's not like they're going far.
00:54:08They're taking a train ride, which is two and a half hours,
00:54:11but it's just the physical toll that it takes on you.
00:54:14And to me, the Eagles right now are the team that should have...
00:54:18I don't see them struggling tonight.
00:54:19It'll be a competitive game.
00:54:21We know these Thursday night games, you never really know.
00:54:23And division-wise, the Eagles and Washington have not been good
00:54:27at the same time in well over a decade.
00:54:28That's how significant this game is.
00:54:30And as you mentioned, whoever wins this game will have a really nice lead here
00:54:34in terms of the head-to-head and so forth, what goes on.
00:54:36But I'm telling you, Washington, even if they lose tonight,
00:54:39their schedule is still really good.
00:54:40The Eagles still have, okay, after this game,
00:54:43they got to play at the Rams next Sunday night.
00:54:46They got to play your Steelers.
00:54:47They got to play Washington again.
00:54:49And they also have to play in Baltimore against the Ravens.
00:54:52They still have a harder schedule than those commanders.
00:54:55Fair enough.
00:54:56Well, we saw the Dolphins push the Rams around so far.
00:54:59And I think the Eagles can flat out beat them.
00:55:01They're better than them hands down.
00:55:03What about the key injuries heading into this great game
00:55:07that I'm going to in Pittsburgh between the Ravens and Steelers?
00:55:11Yeah, this just happened.
00:55:12Jalen Warren, a surprise not practice with a back issue.
00:55:16So they're going to see how he feels tomorrow before deciding
00:55:18whether he'll play or not.
00:55:20Here's some good news.
00:55:20So Cordaro Patterson, the kickoff returner and the running back,
00:55:25like the third back, he was fine with the ankle last week.
00:55:28So he'll fill in for Warren if Warren can't play.
00:55:30But look, Warren's a good player.
00:55:32He had his best game last week.
00:55:35He finally looked healthy and he was fantastic.
00:55:37Now he's injured again.
00:55:39He did look good.
00:55:40Now, he did have a fumble the last couple of weeks,
00:55:42but you're right, he did look good.
00:55:43Now, the other good piece of news is Nate Herbig, okay?
00:55:47The younger brother of Nick Herbig.
00:55:49She's maybe the edge rusher from Wisconsin
00:55:52who had missed a bunch of games.
00:55:53He's back.
00:55:53Barring a setback, he'll be back.
00:55:55In fact, with Alex Highsmith back, excuse me,
00:55:58out for at least two weeks now, he's got this ankle injury.
00:56:01They think it'll be a minimum of two weeks.
00:56:03So Herbig coming back will help them.
00:56:06In a minute, I want to touch on the future numbers.
00:56:08But to me, they're looking good here.
00:56:10Now, here's a big piece of news that just came out with the Ravens.
00:56:12This is good news.
00:56:13They weren't really sure.
00:56:15Kyle Hamilton, the star safety.
00:56:16You remember he got hurt last week.
00:56:18He got hurt.
00:56:18It didn't look good.
00:56:19He actually started working today.
00:56:21So we'll see how it reacts tomorrow with that ankle.
00:56:24Isaiah Likely, who missed last week's game.
00:56:26He worked today.
00:56:26They expect him to return.
00:56:28So right now, Scott, the thing I love about the Steelers is,
00:56:32yes, they had a great schedule, okay?
00:56:35One of the best schedules for the first half.
00:56:37They're very well coached.
00:56:38They're disciplined.
00:56:38Wilson's playing well.
00:56:40And look at their future number, Scott.
00:56:43Plus 210.
00:56:44I know their schedule's getting harder.
00:56:46But you know, Tomlin always gets them playing well
00:56:50in November, December, just about.
00:56:52And to me, that plus 210 is a very good value.
00:56:56What did you think when you saw that moonshot to Mike Williams
00:57:00or the Perkins catch that made it 7-zip
00:57:04where he altered his body and contorted
00:57:07to the exact opposite side, falling backwards?
00:57:11I was watching the game.
00:57:12Both of those catches reminded me of Stallworth and Swann.
00:57:16Oh, yeah.
00:57:16Yeah.
00:57:17Well, Swann is another world.
00:57:20But Mike Williams, that catch, first of all,
00:57:23the fact that he actually held it, I don't know how he saw it.
00:57:26And that was his only target of the game.
00:57:28And Scott, he's healthy, I'm told.
00:57:29That's not the issue.
00:57:30He has to learn that new offense.
00:57:32Remember, they're coming out of the bye.
00:57:33And this is a guy we've talked about for a month.
00:57:36I knew they were targeting this guy.
00:57:37They got him.
00:57:39Honestly, right now, they got Cam Sutton back.
00:57:41And here's another note for it.
00:57:42Corey Trice, who they really like,
00:57:43who's a taller outside corner, 6'3".
00:57:45He's been out for a while.
00:57:47He is working back.
00:57:48They think he's got a shot to play either this week or next week.
00:57:52They got Cam Sutton back last week.
00:57:55Zach Frazier, they think, is one of the best young centers in the league.
00:57:57By the way, he's graded out extremely well.
00:58:00They're really healthy and getting healthy at the right time.
00:58:02I think that plus 210 is a great value.
00:58:05And how about they got Agnew for their special teams?
00:58:08I mean, that guy's a great special teamer.
00:58:11He can return kicks or punts.
00:58:13He can play receiver, by the way.
00:58:14Remember, he was a corner early in his career with Detroit.
00:58:16They moved him to slot receiver.
00:58:18They are absolutely loaded, Scott.
00:58:21I think, I'm telling you, man,
00:58:22those people think the Steelers have no chance to beat Baltimore.
00:58:24I don't know what you're looking at.
00:58:26With Baltimore's problems in the secondary,
00:58:28again, what are people looking at?
00:58:30The Ravens have the worst secondary in football right now, statistically.
00:58:33Terrible.
00:58:34And the Steelers have beaten them seven of the last eight times.
00:58:37They've played them Lamars one and three against the Steelers.
00:58:40He's basically had, the Steelers' kryptonite has been his biggest problem.
00:58:46When we come back, we'll look at the Bills and Kansas City.
00:58:51The game in the B-low, we've already told you,
00:58:53Butker is out of this game and for four weeks.
00:58:57Adam Kaplan is our NFL insider.
00:58:59He's very popular on Thursdays,
00:59:02in particular with Busta Cabin, your ass,
00:59:04coming up right around the corner doing push-ups.
00:59:06We're talking first, though, about the Chiefs and Bills in the B-low.
00:59:11Yeah, look, I love this day.
00:59:13You get this game, the game of the year, quite frankly.
00:59:15There are a lot of great games,
00:59:16and your Steelers game against the Ravens is great,
00:59:18but this one with the robbery and what it's taken,
00:59:23the Bills have been so much better than we all thought.
00:59:25Their offense, we're a little bit concerned about,
00:59:27in terms of the passing game,
00:59:28but Josh Allen's not turning the ball over.
00:59:30That's big.
00:59:31Now, here's something that concerns me for this game,
00:59:34because, look, I get it.
00:59:35Both teams are not scoring a lot of points,
00:59:37although the Bills are still getting the job done.
00:59:40Keon Coleman's not going to play the rookie receiver with a wrist injury.
00:59:43He's going to miss the second straight game.
00:59:44It's really odd.
00:59:45Both top receivers, Amari Cooper with a wrist.
00:59:48Now, he's practicing more this week.
00:59:50They're more optimistic this week than the last two weeks.
00:59:53It's a pain challenge issue.
00:59:54He's got to get through it.
00:59:56They're not deep at receiver.
00:59:57That does concern me,
00:59:58but this news was major that Matt Milano,
01:00:02now he's been out since August.
01:00:04This is big.
01:00:04Now, he's got the torn biceps.
01:00:06If he could get clear to play, the conditioning also is a concern,
01:00:10and even if he gets clear to play,
01:00:11they have no idea how much he can play,
01:00:13but he is one of the best at covering tight ends.
01:00:16That, to me, is a promising equalizer.
01:00:19If you could get Milano,
01:00:20who in the past is going to be on Travis Kelce a lot,
01:00:23that is major.
01:00:24Not having him is just, look, I give them credit.
01:00:27The defense still has been really good.
01:00:29Pass rush is a concern, but I got to tell you,
01:00:33getting Milano back, if he could play, would be major.
01:00:37To me, it actually tilts the match up.
01:00:39It's rare that you could say it about a coverage backer,
01:00:42but he is so gifted.
01:00:44Matt Milano, one of the most underrated linebackers in the league.
01:00:48But again, it's the receiver issue.
01:00:50They don't know right now who's going to line up and receive,
01:00:52but that does worry me.
01:00:52And also, look, with the problem at tight end,
01:00:59that worries me with Dalton Kikade's knee injury.
01:01:02It's a sprained knee, as I understand it.
01:01:03That does concern me.
01:01:04He's very questionable at best to be able to play here.
01:01:07Dawson Knox is, by the way, a veteran, is pretty good,
01:01:10but look, that does worry me a little bit.
01:01:13I think when you look at the matchup, that concerns me.
01:01:16Both quarterbacks have only had one 300-yard-plus game.
01:01:19Again, passing yards are going to be at a premium here.
01:01:22Some good news, though, he's not going to play this week.
01:01:24Isaiah Pacheco, come back from the broken leg.
01:01:26He started working this week.
01:01:27They're hoping for the following week.
01:01:30This is good because they've had problems with receiver Julius Schuster.
01:01:33His back, barring a setback, he's going to play this week,
01:01:36and that is good.
01:01:37They need a possessor receiver.
01:01:38You mentioned Bucker with his knee injury.
01:01:40They already got someone in mind who's going to replace him.
01:01:43Cream Hunt, by the way, has done a very good job at running back.
01:01:46Scott, he's had kind of a renaissance, okay?
01:01:48He's done a great job.
01:01:49We remember when he was drafted by them in 2017,
01:01:52so they're much healthier right now than the Bills.
01:01:55To me, watch the receiver group and see who's going to dress on Sunday.
01:01:59Yeah, and we've, for like the third time, are saying,
01:02:02is this Butker being out of their cog?
01:02:05It really hurts them.
01:02:07This guy is a game-changing kicker.
01:02:10He wins games for them.
01:02:11He puts up tons of points on the board for them.
01:02:14When they're not scoring, they're kicking field goals left and right.
01:02:17This guy's dead to rights every time he kicks,
01:02:19and he's out of that game.
01:02:20That's a big problem.
01:02:21It's time for bust a cap in your ass,
01:02:25which is one of my favorite things on the entire Sports Grid network.
01:02:29Everyone's talking about it.
01:02:31All right, the one o'clock game.
01:02:32Green Bay is at Chicago at Soldier Field.
01:02:34Packers are laying five.
01:02:36Yeah, new offensive coordinator Thomas Brown, by the way,
01:02:38has called plays before in Carolina at this level,
01:02:41but they're an absolute kind of like in shambles.
01:02:46Chicago, you want to talk about culture.
01:02:48They got issues going on.
01:02:49Packers will get the job done and cover it.
01:02:52Jacksonville's at Ford Field.
01:02:53The Lions are laying two touchdowns.
01:02:56I know, I know.
01:02:57But Jacksonville, they're another team that's an absolute mess.
01:03:00We know that the dogs over seven and a half are covering at a strong rate.
01:03:05Jacksonville's almost to the non-competitive standpoint here,
01:03:08particularly on the road.
01:03:09Yeah, they played hard last week.
01:03:10They're going to get blown out.
01:03:12The Lions will take care of business.
01:03:15Vegas is at Hard Rock in Miami.
01:03:18The Dolphins are laying seven and a hook.
01:03:21Here's the thing.
01:03:22Look, I know that the Raiders are awful.
01:03:25They got quarterback problems.
01:03:27Miami went to an emotional game.
01:03:28They were unbelievably their best defensive performance.
01:03:32I can't, look, I can't back either team.
01:03:34I have to take one.
01:03:35It's Miami.
01:03:36I don't trust them in a spot like this.
01:03:39Now, they know they got to win every game the rest of the season to be able to get in the playoffs,
01:03:42but I don't trust the Dolphins, but I'll go with them.
01:03:44Rams at Gillette against the Pats.
01:03:47The Rams are laying four and a half.
01:03:49They look terrible Monday.
01:03:50I know.
01:03:51The Dolphins' defense is unbelievable.
01:03:53I expect them to bounce back in a big way.
01:03:55I give the Patriots credit.
01:03:56They were very game last week.
01:03:58Good job.
01:03:59But against a reeling Bears team,
01:04:02Rams are going to take care of business and bounce back in a big way.
01:04:05Saints at home, laying one to the Browns of the Superdome.
01:04:08I like the Browns coming back here off their bind.
01:04:11Jameis don't turn the ball over against his former team.
01:04:14The Saints are all such a beat up physically.
01:04:16The Browns are actually coming out much healthier.
01:04:18The healthiest, healthiest, Scott, they've been in the last two months.
01:04:21I like the Browns to take care of it.
01:04:23The Ravens are at the Steelers.
01:04:24Pittsburgh's getting three as a home dog.
01:04:28Love the Steelers to cover this.
01:04:29In fact, winning outright, they're a live dog to me.
01:04:33I believe they're the better team.
01:04:34I get it that a lot of people in Vegas like the Ravens to win this division.
01:04:39I do not.
01:04:40I, right now, if I had to repick, I would take that plus 210 and take the Steelers.
01:04:45You're Steelers.
01:04:46Well, they have a hard schedule the rest of the way because they are really well coached
01:04:49and they're getting healthier.
01:04:51Minnesota's at a Nissan in Smashville against Tennessee.
01:04:55The Titans are getting six.
01:04:57Titans are not good.
01:04:58It's a big number.
01:04:59I don't like that.
01:05:00I don't like that number on the road.
01:05:01But Sam Donald's got to play better.
01:05:04The Vikings are clearly better.
01:05:06I have a slight lean towards them.
01:05:08To me, the under is the play.
01:05:09Neither team could score very much at this point.
01:05:11Jets are laying four to the Colts in New York.
01:05:15Richardson's back.
01:05:17I like Richardson and the four and a half.
01:05:19The Jets, you can't trust them doing anything.
01:05:21Denver at home, laying two and a half to the Falcons and Cousins.
01:05:25I like the Falcons to cover this number and win it outright.
01:05:28Wow.
01:05:29Seattle at Levi's Stonewashed denim jeans in Santa Clara.
01:05:33Niners laying six and a half.
01:05:36Yeah.
01:05:36Seattle, look, they're not playing great football.
01:05:38The Niners, that was a good win for them.
01:05:40Very physical game.
01:05:41I expect them to take care of business.
01:05:42Buffalo laying two and a half to the Chiefs.
01:05:46We're going back and forth with this one.
01:05:49I'm going to take the Chiefs here to take care of business and cover it on the road.
01:05:52Oh, God.
01:05:53Carver High is going to be so disappointed.
01:05:55Sunday night, Bengals at Chargers.
01:05:58Chargers laying one and a half.
01:06:00It's a great game.
01:06:01Very underrated game.
01:06:01I like the Chargers to take care of business.
01:06:03Whoa, listen to this guy.
01:06:05All right, Adam Kaplan.
01:06:06Great stuff today.
01:06:07Fantastic.
01:06:08Enjoy the games this weekend and tonight.
