00:15The DSWD assured the field office 4A that it is ready to provide assistance to the families affected by the Super Typhoon Pepito.
00:24In 69 warehouses in various localities in the Calabar Zone, there are more than 54,000 family food packs that are worth almost P38 million.
00:34These food packs are pre-positioned or stored in the warehouses even before the typhoon hit.
00:42The existence of pre-positioned food packs is a strategy of the government to quickly provide assistance to the local government even in the face of calamity.
00:55Meanwhile, there are 4,108 non-food items such as sleeping and hygiene kits and P1.2 million in standby funds for the field office 4A.
01:07In the initial report from the local government, the DSWD reported that there are 34,775 families affected by the Typhoon Pepito in 93 towns and municipalities in the region.
