00:00In the name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
00:17A little while ago, the head of the Pakistan Army, General Asim Muneer, who has come to
00:22Karachi for a defense exhibition, he spoke to the businessmen here.
00:26He said that a year ago, the clouds of despair were overcast and today they have cleared.
00:35You have seen that the indicators of the economy are getting better.
00:39And by next year, God willing, they will get even better.
00:42You have seen that people were talking about despair.
00:45People were saying that the country will default.
00:47Where are all those people today?
00:49Should they not wait for answers?
00:52Comments on politics.
00:53Nothing, including politics, is ahead of the country.
00:58Pakistan is not more important than anything else.
01:00Pakistan's politics too.
01:01That is why everyone should give preference to Pakistan over personal loyalty.
01:05There are many other things.
01:07Listen to the last thing.
01:09The security of Pakistan's digital borders is the responsibility of the state.
01:16The security of Pakistan's digital borders is the responsibility of the state.
01:20The security of the people's digital security is also the responsibility of the state.
01:24This can at least be summarized very easily.
01:27Whatever is being discussed in digital terms and the steps that are being taken,
01:30it may be seen more quickly.
01:34It is not difficult to summarize this statement.
01:37When he says that the security of Pakistan's digital borders and the security of the people's
01:41digital security is the responsibility of the state.
01:43So this is it.
01:44Now, there has been a stir in the political arena today.
01:47After a long time, there has been a celebration in the camp of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaab.
01:52What is the matter?
01:53The matter is that on the 24th, he gave a call and he called it a final call.
01:57Then yesterday he said that I give the authority to Ali Ameen Gandapur that if the government
02:02or the establishment talks to him, then do it.
02:06Yesterday, for the first time in recent history,
02:10Mr. Gandapur and Mr. Barrister Gauhar were allowed to meet two high officials of PTI.
02:15That is, even before this, it was not allowed to meet despite the court orders.
02:19If it was allowed to meet, then it was not allowed to meet for a long time.
02:22Yesterday, there was a formal meeting.
02:24There was a meeting of one hour and forty minutes.
02:26Then today there was a meeting again.
02:28I don't remember such a thing in the past that two days there was a formal meeting.
02:32Today, there was a meeting for a long time.
02:34After that, another thing happened.
02:36Tosha Khanna, you were bailed out in the case today.
02:38After that, another thing happened.
02:40No new case was filed.
02:42This was such an unprecedented thing that it surprised not only someone else, but also Ms. Aleema Khan.
02:46It also surprised Ms. Khan's sister-in-law.
02:48She was shocked.
02:50She said, I don't believe it.
02:52I keep asking, is this really happening?
02:54See what Ms. Aleema Khan said.
02:56Actually, I don't believe it right now.
02:59Because I have asked ten times, is it possible that this has happened or not?
03:04Because we have become so used to taking out one case and putting another case on Imran Khan.
03:11So, actually, I still don't believe it.
03:14I think they will make another case by evening.
03:17They have filed 100 more cases.
03:19They must have filed 10 more cases.
03:21So far we feel this, but we will have hope from Allah.
03:26She says, I think another case will be made by evening.
03:28It's night now.
03:29The case has not been made.
03:30The atmosphere has become such that messages have started to be sent, questions have started to be asked.
03:34Is the matter over?
03:36Is Mr. Khan going to be released?
03:37Is the wait for the 24th going to lead?
03:39I had to come on television and say that he is not being released.
03:43There is no possibility of being released.
03:44That case is still pending.
03:46What is the matter of all this?
03:48These meetings, these bailouts, what is all this?
03:53What is the matter?
03:54Obviously, he is a very relevant personality of the government of Pakistan.
03:57He is one of the senior leaders of Pakistan Muslim Union.
04:00He is the deputy minister for planning development.
04:02I am thankful that he took out time.
04:04Mr. Ahsan Iqbal.
04:05Huzoor, Assalamualaikum.
04:08Waalaikumsalam.
04:10Sir, thank you very much for your time.
04:11I am grateful.
04:12First tell me, Mr. Ahsan, this has not happened.
04:16Yesterday, three opposition leaders were arrested outside the jail.
04:20Yesterday, the court said, let them meet.
04:22They were not allowed to meet.
04:23And now, literally yesterday, two leaders were allowed to meet.
04:27The meeting was facilitated easily.
04:28The meeting lasted for 1 hour and 40 minutes.
04:30Then today, the meeting again.
04:32So, if we do not go into anything else,
04:34then what will you say about these two meetings,
04:36which were allowed to take place so easily.
04:38After that, they came out and said,
04:40yes, we have been told to do it after the establishment.
04:43Has the government given special permission for these two meetings?
04:47Look, Wazirullah K.P. is a senior elected head of Wafaaq.
04:54Yes.
04:55And I think that whenever Ali Ameen Ghandapur Sahib
04:58has tried to meet Khan Sahib,
05:01then he has been given permission.
05:03Because he is an important functionary.
05:07So, in the same way, they must have met under the same restrictions.
05:13However, I think that in this respect,
05:16it is beneficial that if they go to Khan Sahib
05:21and inform him about the external circumstances.
05:23Because Khan Sahib is in jail
05:26and it is possible that in jail he is in a world of thoughts
05:30or he thinks that a revolution is going to take place
05:34or all the nations are ready for it.
05:37So, there are no such circumstances.
05:39Pakistan, which they had left Diwali.
05:42Now, Alhamdulillah, it is going towards recovery.
05:45Its economic indicators are improving.
05:48You are seeing that the sentiment about Pakistan is changing all over the world.
05:52So, at this time, people want that the actions of this environment should be continued.
05:58There should be no restrictions in its path.
06:01And I don't think that the atmosphere is conducive for any kind of politics of destruction or spread.
06:09And a common man is ready for it.
06:11A trader is ready for it.
06:13An investor is ready for it.
06:15A laborer is ready for it.
06:17So, if these two leaders have gone to Khan Sahib
06:20and given a check of the ground reality,
06:23then this is a good thing.
06:25Is Ali Amin Ghandabur Sahib not taking any message of your establishment to Khan Sahib,
06:30which is related to the protest on 24th November?
06:33Look, the biggest thing is that he must have gone for his party with thought.
06:40Because the sentiment with which Khan Sahib has given this call,
06:45if this call fails, then that will be a big setback for PTI.
06:51It will be a big setback for PTI, as it has already been a setback.
06:56So, I think that as a political worker, he must have understood that we should not take such a suicidal step.
07:03Look, the government through Ali Amin Sahib is not conveying any message to Khan Sahib.
07:08Are you confirming this?
07:09No, no such message has been conveyed.
07:11But I want to tell you one thing,
07:13that today every Pakistani has to think about this.
07:17On one hand, the Khawarij are bringing violence against the state of Pakistan,
07:22against the army of Pakistan, in the attacks.
07:26And even today, 12 of our soldiers have been martyred,
07:29for whom we have sympathy.
07:33And we are proud of the soldiers who shed their blood for this country.
07:38But on the other hand, where violence is coming in the attacks of the Khawarij,
07:42why is violence coming in the politics of PTI?
07:45That they are attacking from the inside, they are attacking from the inside.
07:50And this timing is very disturbing.
07:53And it forces us to think and ask the question,
07:57that is it possible that the handlers of both are not the same,
08:00who want to sabotage this act of violence of Pakistan,
08:03to improve the economy of Pakistan again.
08:07So, sir, you mean to say,
08:09Ansar Abbas Sahib's yesterday's news,
08:11that the government contacted PTI at the highest level.
08:14Then today, Rana Sanaullah Sahib's saying,
08:16that it is possible that there is something going on at the level of Ali Ameen Sahib.
08:19Then today, Asad Qaiser Sahib's saying,
08:21that yes, we have had a proper contact.
08:23He did not clarify whether it was from the establishment or from the government.
08:26You are prioritizing all these things and saying,
08:28that we have not sent any message to Ali Ameen and Imran Khan Sahib,
08:33about the election on 24th.
08:36Look, I think this is the responsibility of the Interior Minister.
08:41And whenever there is such a situation,
08:43I have also been on the position of the Interior Minister.
08:46So, it is the duty of the Interior Minister,
08:50to try to avoid any such thing.
08:54Whenever an organization calls for such demonstrations,
08:58then you try to contact it,
09:00to explain to it that it should not do this.
09:02If there would have been any such contact about this,
09:07then it is not such an unusual thing.
09:09This is an SOP,
09:11that whenever there is a call for protest or movement,
09:14you try to diffuse it.
09:17And there are such sensible people in PTI,
09:20who may be able to play their role in this.
09:23And they can tell Mr. Khan,
09:25and make him realize that
09:27neither the country can comply with this kind of politics at the moment,
09:31nor can it be positive for PTI in any way.
09:36The fallout of this will be on PTI.
09:40So, I think that if there has been any kind of contact through any channel,
09:45then this is a normal thing.
09:48This is how you work to diffuse the situation in state affairs.
09:55And sir, you talked about the Ministry of Interior,
09:57and in which you have also been on the position.
09:59So, today we saw that PTI is marching towards Islamabad.
10:02Just look at these scenes and listen.
10:04These are good optics.
10:05Obviously, if something happens, the police have to take care of the security.
10:08But they have arranged for a walk on D-Chowk.
10:11There are slogans on it.
10:12Do you think the optics are okay?
10:14Or can this situation be handled in a better way?
10:17Listen to this.
10:18I don't know if you will be able to see me or not.
10:20Listen and then give your opinion.
10:21Please show it.
10:34Long live I.G. Sir!
10:36Long live D.I.G. Sir!
10:39The police are marching on D-Chowk.
10:42Long live I.G. Sir!
10:43Long live Islamabad Police!
10:45Obviously, there is no abuse in these slogans.
10:47I am talking about optics.
10:49Look, Waseem, you know that even in 2014,
10:54when PTI protested,
10:56where its target was the Parliament House,
10:59where its target was PTV,
11:01where its target was the police officers,
11:04the police officers and the police stations.
11:07Exactly.
11:08Similarly, you know that when the people of the court
11:11went to the Zaman Park to get the cement,
11:16the PTI workers attacked the police with petrol bombs
11:23on which the police were injured.
11:25And our present I.G. lost his eye.
11:29And he was severely injured.
11:32Similarly, when this protest came to Islamabad,
11:36several police officers were injured.
11:39A policeman was also killed.
11:41So, if they do anything illegal here at this time,
11:46then surely its first line of defense will be the police.
11:50And any head of the police,
11:52if he has to take the responsibility of protecting
11:57the country's important government
11:59and its important government institutions,
12:01where diplomats also live,
12:03then surely he has to boost their morale.
12:08Because when these people come,
12:10they will come and destroy.
12:12And every stone, every fire that will happen in the future
12:17or whatever violence will happen,
12:19or whether they throw petrol bombs on them
12:23or whatever things have been done in the past,
12:25then who has to face it?
12:27These police officers have to make that attack a failure.
12:30So, it is very important to raise the morale of a police force,
12:35to keep it high,
12:37so that you can protect your home.
12:41But, having said this,
12:44Waseem, I would like to say that you tell me
12:47that the votes that have been cast in the country,
12:50if we prove all the claims of PTI right,
12:55then the votes that have been cast by PTI,
12:58more than that, at least 2 thirds of the votes are against it.
13:03If 100,000 votes are cast against PTI,
13:06then at least 300,000 to 400,000 votes are also against PTI.
13:10So, you tell me,
13:11if PTI mobilizes its 100,000 people
13:14and the other parties also mobilize 400,000 to 500,000 people,
13:18then we are going back to the Stone Ages
13:21where the army was captured from Kashi.
13:25We are a nuclear country.
13:27People also look at our politics.
13:29People also look at our stability.
13:32I think this attitude should be abandoned now.
13:35We should become a mature country.
13:37Hasn't PTI accepted the results of 8th February?
13:41No, it hasn't.
13:44They say that we don't accept this system.
13:47So, first of all, you resign from the assemblies.
13:50As a result of 8th February,
13:52the relief that you have taken,
13:54the TADA that you are collecting and putting in your pockets,
13:57on the one hand, you are sitting in the assemblies,
14:00collecting TADA properly and putting it in your pockets.
14:03On the other hand, you are fooling people
14:05that we don't accept this system.
14:07Sir, Noon League also rejected the 2018 elections.
14:09It said RTS election and was also sitting in the assemblies.
14:12And obviously, it was collecting TADA and salary.
14:14No, if we had said at that time,
14:16we would have fought our case in this system.
14:19We had also come on the streets.
14:21We had also come to D-Chowk.
14:23We had said at that time that
14:25although this system is rigged,
14:27we are coming under protest.
14:29And we believe this system in its continuity
14:33because we are democratic people.
14:35So, whatever politics we did in the assemblies,
14:38we went to the courts of Pakistan and fought the case.
14:41Neither did we go to the Congress of America,
14:44nor did we go to the House of Lords of Britain,
14:47nor did we hold the feet of Congressmen and Senators
14:50to say, my father, save us.
14:52We fought our case in Pakistan.
14:55We fought in the streets of Pakistan
14:57and also fought in the ground.
14:58You have made your case in the context of the politics of the streets.
15:01So, if it was right for you to come to D-Chowk,
15:03along with Maulana,
15:04then how is it wrong for them?
15:06See, the reason for that is,
15:08whatever protest, you tell me,
15:11how many protests has the PTI done in this country?
15:15How many?
15:16Maybe they have made a record
15:18that all the sessions and gatherings they have done,
15:20no community has done.
15:22When they were removed from the movement of distrust in April 2022,
15:27after that, Mr. Khan went to the streets and held gatherings.
15:31Someone stopped them.
15:32But 9th May changed everything.
15:35They brought 9th May back to the style of politics of 2014
15:40and proved that they are re-emerging from the politics of extremism.
15:45And when they attacked the state,
15:48the state will answer for it.
15:50Pakistan is not a banana republic.
15:52Like I said, we are a nuclear state.
15:55People look at our stability.
15:57People see that there is a mess in their country
16:00or there is a revolution.
16:02When PTI did 9th May,
16:049th May changed the dynamics.
16:06Right.
16:07And are you sure that this dynamics will not change again
16:11until 2 tokes are apologized on 9th May,
16:13which is the official stance of the state.
16:15It is the official stance of the army.
16:17Or do you think that no, Pakistan is here.
16:19Can anyone ever change it?
16:20Or are you sure that without forgiveness,
16:22the state's behavior will not change?
16:24If you want to forgive 9th May,
16:28then forgive all those terrorists from your jail
16:32who have attacked a police station,
16:35who have attacked a border post.
16:38Leave them all.
16:40They attacked GHQ.
16:42They attacked the Corps Commander House.
16:45They burnt Jinnah House to ashes.
16:48They attacked the air bases of Pak Air Force.
16:51They attacked the intelligence agencies.
16:54No terrorist organization in Pakistan
16:58has targeted the security of Pakistan
17:02and the institutions of the state on this level.
17:06On 9th May, PTI did it.
17:10They did it to the government property.
17:12In Peshawar, they burnt the entire building of Radio Pakistan to ashes.
17:17In which the very precious record of the movement of Pakistan was lost.
17:22The speeches of Qaid-e-Azam were lost.
17:25So, after doing all this, if you ask for forgiveness,
17:29then forgive all the terrorists.
17:32Are you sure that the state will not forgive them?
17:37Will the government stand by its decision?
17:40Or is this your advice to the state?
17:43If the state has to convince itself as a state
17:49and remain steadfast,
17:51then the state will not have to forgive them.
17:54It will have to set an example.
17:56But if the state has to throw mud, wood, stone,
18:00then be ready, if someone does more than this,
18:03you can compromise with him too.
18:05I want to ask you a question.
18:07Let's put 9th May aside.
18:09Mr. Khan, who used to say that he has come to fight against corruption,
18:13£190 million which Britain gave to Pakistan,
18:19isn't it true that instead of depositing it in Pakistan's treasury,
18:26Mr. Khan transferred it to his friend's account
18:30where he had to deposit the money.
18:33Instead of that, he took bribes.
18:35Instead of that, he took plots.
18:37Instead of that, he took personal gain for himself.
18:40Sir, why is there no decision in this case?
18:42Even today, when I am talking to you,
18:44you are saying that the decision has come in their favour,
18:46they have got bail.
18:47No, no.
18:48In your time, you used to say that the army gets influenced in the court
18:51against the Noon League.
18:53Today, it is decided that the army is not involved with PTI.
18:56Then why are there no decisions against them in the courts?
18:59If there are so many crystal clear cases.
19:01The only problem is that,
19:03if you look at every case,
19:05our case, the reference of Naib against me,
19:09we used to pray that the next case should be quick.
19:12We used to pray that the case should end quickly
19:15because there is nothing in it.
19:17If there is a decision, it will come in front of the false people.
19:20Why are these people, Mr. Khan and his lawyers,
19:23using the bribes?
19:25Why don't they take part in the proceedings?
19:27Why don't they take part in the proceedings?
19:29Why are they putting all these cases in a mess?
19:32Like the case of foreign funding,
19:34they dragged it for 6-7 years.
19:37Why didn't they say that,
19:39we are with you, we cooperate with you,
19:41you decide on the merit.
19:43The real thing is that,
19:45how long will they test the bribes?
19:48Because the law is forced,
19:50that the courts have to proceed under a regulation.
19:54And if a team uses bribes in it,
19:59then that action becomes a victim of bribery.
20:02So these decisions have not been made so far,
20:05that they are not taking part in the proceedings.
20:07Their lawyers continue to take some date from the bribes,
20:12and throw a new spanner in it.
20:15Like the case of foreign funding,
20:17they dragged it for many years.
20:19So if they are sure,
20:21that they are right,
20:23then they should come and listen to us daily.
20:26They should decide on our case.
20:28Because they know that,
20:30if they listen to us soon,
20:32then they will be punished soon.
20:34But getting bail in a case today,
20:37is a pleasant surprise for them,
20:39and for Ms. Halima.
20:42No, it is not like that.
20:44It is the job of the court.
20:46The court can get bail.
20:48But if you read the entire order,
20:50then it is said that,
20:52if they do not take part in the proceedings,
20:55then their bail can be revoked.
20:58Yes, they have said that,
21:00but their bail has been revoked.
21:02Sir, what do you think,
21:04will they come to Islamabad on 24th,
21:06or will they be released?
21:08There is a pressure,
21:10of businessmen,
21:12merchants,
21:14citizens,
21:16and a reaction against this call,
21:18at this time,
21:20when Pakistan's borders are being attacked,
21:22Pakistan's economy,
21:24is taking a turn,
21:26it is going to the mountains.
21:28So this is a time,
21:30when people are very reluctant,
21:33and they may not be ready,
21:35to go with it.
21:37Because,
21:39apart from the hardcore people,
21:41I think,
21:43the sensible people in their party,
21:45will prevail,
21:47and at the last moment,
21:49they may take back the call,
21:51by revoking the bail.
21:55Ok, and,
21:57do you think the government,
21:59has handled their protests,
22:01correctly,
22:03or there has been some mishandling,
22:05Mr. Abdullah's opinion,
22:07in our program,
22:09that some mistakes have been made,
22:11by the government,
22:13more than necessary,
22:15Ali Ameen has been given a safe passage,
22:17as per his understanding,
22:19that come to D-Chowk,
22:21and then go,
22:23we will also publish it,
22:25it should not be done in KPO,
22:27this is on record,
22:29is this your opinion?
22:31See, this situation is such,
22:33that,
22:35the people outside,
22:37can comment on it,
22:39in different ways,
22:41but,
22:43this situation,
22:45is a learning experience,
22:47for the government,
22:49and you deal with it,
22:51on your merits,
22:53but I think,
22:55all in all,
22:57it is necessary,
22:59that we ensure,
23:01that the scenes of violence,
23:03should not go out to the world.
23:05In your opinion,
23:07nothing has been unusual,
23:09in the last few days,
23:11getting bail,
23:13meetings,
23:15they say,
23:17the negotiations have started,
23:19nothing is unusual,
23:21everything is alright.
