00:21with the help of graduates from state universities and colleges.

00:25According to the President, the production of agriculture will be strengthened

00:29if the agronomists are the ones to carry out the seed production

00:33while the farmers are the ones to plant the seeds.

00:37He also urged the government agencies to help the SUCs

00:41to teach the students about seed production

00:43and to focus the SUCs on research and development.

00:47President Marcos considers the local production of seeds important

00:51to reduce the dependence on imported seeds and to strengthen the security of food.

00:57More than 160,000 hectares of land was given to the farmers

01:02under the leadership of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.

01:06and Department of Agrarian Reform Secretary Conrado Estrella III.

01:10According to Agrarian Reform Assistance Secretary Rene Colocar,

01:14the farmers from Isabela, Pampanga, and other places were given the same amount of land.

01:20The beneficiaries will now have freedom of interest in their lands.

01:26DAR helps other sectors of the government

01:29to meet the needs of farmers such as machinery,

01:33farm-to-market roads, and irrigation projects.
