00:00What do you think about the COVID-19 pandemic?
00:04Well, the issue of health is a central one.
00:09In the PNRR there are important resources,
00:13I remember that there are almost 14 billion resources,
00:18many of which are also dedicated to territorial health.
00:23I think that the experience of COVID-19,
00:27with all the negative effects,
00:29made it clear to all the administrations,
00:32both the central and regional ones,
00:35how important health care is,
00:39and above all territorial health.
00:44There are two fundamental projects,
00:48which are community homes and community hospitals.
00:52The norm is for 2022,
00:55they are financed for 2.5 billion euros,
00:59which is an important sum.
01:04There is an increasing number of projects
01:09related to community homes,
01:12which are therefore linked to the assistance of the territorial network,
01:15but also community hospitals,
01:18which are a new conception of the hospital,
01:21also with costs that are extremely low
01:25compared to those of a single agency.
01:30We know that there has been greater development,
01:33where I live, in the northeast,
01:35but it is also expanding nationally.
01:40How important is the partnership between the public and the private sector?
01:44I would say that it is fundamental,
01:47in the role not only of the pharmaceutical sector.
01:51It is important because there are sectors
01:54where the public can do a lot,
01:57for example, on the subject of telemedicine,
02:00on the subject of artificial intelligence,
02:03on the subject of digitization.
02:06There are almost 4 billion available funding
02:09between the public and the private sector.
02:12But obviously the public cannot come from everywhere,
02:15so the collaboration with the private sector is fundamental
02:18because there are some things that the public can do,
02:22but in many cases the private sector can do even better.
