00:00Hello, good evening. It's certainly been a cold day across the country, a mix of blue
00:05skies and also plenty of wintry showers. That snow and ice risk is set to continue this
00:11evening and as we head through into Friday morning with multiple yellow Met Office warnings
00:16in force, so do take care. Those snow showers pushing in around exposed coasts of Scotland,
00:21Northern Ireland, northern parts of England and Wales too, with a few feeding in inland
00:25at times. There'll also be some clear skies overnight where we're expecting a sharp frost
00:29and some icy stretches, so do take care. So another cold night on offer, particularly
00:34in those brisk northerly winds. Through into Friday, those snow showers are set to continue,
00:39mainly once again around coastal areas, though once again still a few feeding inland at times.
00:44There will also still be plenty of autumnal sunshine once again. Still feeling cold though,
00:49particularly in those brisk winds. Once again, we're only looking at highs of around 5 degrees.
00:55Slightly higher in the southwest, around 7 degrees, so still slightly chilly. And across
01:00the north, those temperatures struggling to move past 2 to 3 degrees. Now as we head into
01:06Friday evening, a change is on its way as we introduce storm Burt, moving its way in
01:11from the Atlantic. So we'll see clouds spilling in from the southwest with outbreaks of rain
01:16this heavy at times by the time we reach Saturday morning. So temperatures not quite dropping
01:20as low here, but to the northeast of this, we're expecting clear skies. Once again, a
01:25sharp frost and some icy stretches. So almost a northeast-southwest split. And through into
01:31Saturday as we continue to see that rain band move its way north-eastwards, we're expecting
01:35heavy outbreaks of rain, this falling as snow at times across northern parts of England
01:39and parts of Scotland where we do have an amber snow and ice warning in force. And plenty
01:44of blustery winds across parts of Scotland too. So a very unsettled day as storm Burt
01:49moves across the country. And those temperatures struggling under those cloudier skies too.
