Dog-friendly, kid-friendly pittie has been in the shelter for more than 700 days only because he's a pit bull. Our producer Mateo found out that Hashbrown lives near communities that don’t allow pit bulls — so he’s hoping this video will finally help him find his forever family! We are celebrating Pittie Awareness Month by highlighting some our favorite pitties ❤️

00:00Hasbrown oftentimes gets overlooked while other dogs at the shelter get adopted.
00:05The only reason is a pitbull mix.
00:07Turns out that his shelter is located in Sherwood, Arkansas where pitbulls are banned.
00:12Other major cities surrounding Sherwood also have a ban on pitbulls.
00:15For this reason, the pool of candidates that can adopt him are very limited.
00:23At the Dodo, we want Hasbrown to find his forever home
00:26not only because he has spent half of his lifetime living in a kennel
00:29but also because he's the sweetest pup.
00:34He's very polite and doesn't bark much, which makes people think he's shy.
00:40But in reality, he loves people and he loves to play and be active.
00:47He does great with other dogs
00:53and kids too.
00:55Thankfully, he's found a pair of volunteers to brighten up his days by taking him outside.
01:06But it's about time for Hasbrown to find his forever home.
01:11If Hasbrown is a perfect match for you, visit his adoption page in the comments
01:15and grant him his first day at home.
01:24Thank you!
01:30Great job, Hatchie!
