Martin Dempster at the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas
Transcript
00:00Hello, it's Martin Dempster, the Scotsman Golf Correspondent here, coming to you from
00:07a breezy Bahamas venue this week for the Hero World Challenge, the event hosted by Tiger
00:16Woods on the PGA Tour. As always, it's an elite field for this tournament, just 20 players
00:26teeing up here at the Albany Golf Club near Nassau, and for the first time, it includes
00:34Scottish number one, Robert McIntyre. McIntyre, of course, won the RBC Canadian Open
00:42in June, his first PGA Tour title triumph, and then added the Genesis Scottish Open a few weeks
00:50later at the Renaissance Club, where he became the first home player to land that title since
00:55Colin Montgomery in 1999. On the back of those victories, Bob sits 15th in the official world
01:03golf rankings, and that's what's earned him his spot in this week's field. Woods, unfortunately,
01:10he's not playing on this occasion, he's still recovering from back surgery he underwent in
01:15September, but the 15-time major winner will be in attendance as the tournament host, and he's
01:22going to be speaking in a press conference here on Tuesday, before taking part in a Hero Shot
01:28Challenge, along with four or five others, one of which will be McIntyre. Promises to be an exciting
01:36week here, if it's going to be as windy as this, it's certainly going to test him. To keep up to
01:41date with everything about the Hero World Challenge, log on to scotsman.com, or buy the Scotsman.
