00:00Good morning to all of us.
00:04Here is our update on the Kiribbean storm.
00:08The Kiribbean storm is still present in the sea near Mindanao.
00:14At present, the distance of the center of the Kiribbean storm is 230 km east of Davao City
00:22or 205 km east of Tagaon City, Davao del Norte.
00:29The strength of the wind near the center of the storm is 45 kmph
00:35while the wind speed is still 55 kmph.
00:42We still expect that it will move in the direction of Hilagang-Hilagang-Silangan
00:48at a speed of 10 kmph.
00:51You will notice that a large part of Visayas and Mindanao
00:56will experience cloudy skies and rain.
01:00This is the end of the storm and the extension of the storm and the shear line.
01:08So, we remind our countrymen that in Bicol Region, Bombay-Visayas and Mindanao,
01:16we should continue to be careful because there is still a chance of landslide or flash flood
01:22because of the rain and we still expect heavy rains.
01:32The Davao-Oriental is still under Tropica's second wind signal number 1.
01:38So, expect heavy rains and strong winds.
01:46This is the extension of the storm and its strength.
01:53In the next 24 hours, we expect that the storm will weaken
02:00and it will become a low-pressure area.
02:04But we are also expecting that it will become a storm again.
02:08It is apt to pass through Mindanao until it reaches the West Philippine Sea.
02:14So, we will continue to monitor the development of the storm now and in the next few days.
02:24Even if we do not have an angle warning, we should still be careful
02:28because the winds are still strong and the shear line and storm will have an effect.
02:34So, even if we do not have an angle warning, we should still be careful
02:38to those who plan to cross our seas.
02:44For our next update from Pagasa, I am Alzar D. Aurelio.
