00:02This is our typhoon update.
00:05We are monitoring Typhoon Julian or Julian.
00:11At present, the eye or center of this typhoon is in the coastal waters of Balintang Islands, Calayaan, Cagayan.
00:21This typhoon has a strong wind of 155 kmph.
00:32Meanwhile, the typhoon is at 190 kmph.
00:39We are expecting this to move westward or near the Batanes area.
00:47Meanwhile, the typhoon that is outside our Philippine Area of Responsibility,
00:54like what I said yesterday or last night,
00:57it is likely to have a Fuji Barre effect.
01:00At present, the tropical storm Jebi is 2,010 km east-northeast of extreme northern Luzon.
01:12It has maintained a strong wind of 75 kmph.
01:21And here is our forecast track of Typhoon Julian.
01:26We are expecting this to move near the Batanes area.
01:30It may landfall or move near the Batanes area.
01:39It may happen this morning or later in the afternoon.
01:42As you can see, the typhoon is moving in a pari-curving direction.
01:48Meanwhile, the typhoon will mostly come out of the Par.
01:54And it will enter our Philippine Area of Responsibility again.
01:59Meaning, the center of the typhoon will come out of the PAR for a short while.
02:04And it will enter our PAR again.
02:07It is expected that the typhoon Julian will come out of our PAR on Wednesday or Friday.
02:19And here are the places that are under the Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal.
02:23First is Signal No. 4.
02:25This means it is a significant to severe threat to our life and property.
02:32The places under this are the Batanes and the northern portion of the Baboyan Islands.
02:40Meanwhile, Signal No. 3 is located in the southern part of the Baboyan Islands
02:47and also in the northern portion of the mainland of Cagayan.
02:52Meanwhile, Signal No. 2 is located in the southern part of the mainland of Cagayan,
02:58also in Apayaw and Ilocos Norte.
03:02And Signal No. 1 is located in Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, Calinga
03:11and also in Ifugao, Mountain Province, Benguet, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Aurora,
03:20northern and eastern portion of Nueva Ecija and also in Polillo Island.
03:27The places under this are prone to severe weather
03:32where strong winds and heavy rains are expected
03:38under Signal No. 4 and Signal No. 3.
03:44Due to the Tropical Cyclone Julian,
03:47we are still prone to strong winds
03:54even today in Pangasinan, Aurora, Zambales, Bataan, Metro Manila,
04:01Calabarzon, Romblon and Bicol Region.
04:04You will notice that these places are not below the Tropical Cyclone Signal.
04:13This is the end of the trough or extension area of the Tropical Cyclone Julian.
04:19Tomorrow is Tuesday.
04:22We are still prone to strong winds or heavy rains in Ilocos Region,
04:30Cortillera, northern and eastern portion of Manila, Cagayan,
04:34eastern portion of Isabela, Aurora, Zambales, Bataan, Metro Manila,
04:42Calabarzon, Romblon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur and Catanuanes.
04:52Due to the Tropical Cyclone Julian,
04:54we are still prone to strong winds or heavy rains,
04:58intense to torrential rains in Batanes, Baboyan Islands, Ilocos Norte
05:07and heavy to intense rains in Melan, Cagayan, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Apayaw, Benguet and Abra.
05:17Moderate to heavy rains in Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan and eastern portion of Cortillera.
05:26Tomorrow, we are still prone to heavy to intense rains in Batanes and Baboyan Islands.
05:33Meanwhile, moderate to heavy rains in Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur.
05:38On Wednesday, we are expected to have moderate to heavy rains in Batanes and Baboyan Islands.
05:48Because of this, we should continue to be careful and know where to go
05:54because there is still a chance of landslide and flash flood.
05:57Because of this, we are still prone to heavy rains in areas below the Tropical Cyclone wind signal.
06:10Because of the storm, we are still prone to high waves,
06:15especially high waves in the Northern Luzon.
06:20As you can see, the waves are up to 12 meters high,
06:26or almost four floors of a house.
06:30These 12 meters high waves are experienced in Batanes and Baboyan Islands.
06:39These are the areas below the Gale Warning.
06:42These are Batanes, Cagayan, Baboyan Islands, Northern Coast of Ilocos Norte and Isabela.
06:51That is why we should not go abroad.
06:54We should be careful because of the high waves.
06:59That is our update on the upcoming Tropical Storm Julian.
