00:00Last thing we're watching out for is going to be, are you ready for Christmas?
00:03Here's the latest update here, our AccuWeather exclusive update for Christmas.
00:06It looks like we're going to see a wet Christmas Eve here from the southern plains into the
00:10northeast. And for the northeast, we will see a chance of snowfall here for there and also across
00:15the northwest. So some areas will see some snowfall on Christmas Eve, but temperature-wise on
00:19Christmas Eve, you could see some freezing temperatures across the northern plains,
00:23but other than that, it's going to be very warm and mild Christmas Eve.
00:26Yeah, not shabby here. I mean, in comparison to where temperatures fall this weekend across
00:33the Great Lakes, the upper Midwest, the northeast, Christmas, Christmas Eve, honestly looking pretty
00:37mild in comparison. So at least we're on the upward swing, mild across the central U.S.
00:42for the actual big day. Here we have the showers, though, locked in across a lot of the Ohio
00:48and Tennessee Valley.
00:49And we will see some snow chances there on Christmas Day, but temperature-wise on Christmas
00:53Day, it's going to be hard to find areas that are below freezing for afternoon highs.
00:58All right. Speaking of the holidays, a lot of people are, of course, doing travel this
01:04season, right? At least you don't have a lot of problems to deal with. There are some minor delays
01:09in South Florida and Miami. Of course, these are not due to weather, more so due to volume and
01:15capacity. But overall, we have seen green lights here for the most part today. Even areas where
01:23we've seen some of that snow, they are de-icing in areas like Minneapolis, Burlington, they're
01:27de-icing. And also in Akron, Ohio, they are de-icing as well. Though the overall picture,
01:35we're staying pretty low in comparison to our historical averages when it comes to our
01:39AccuWeather U.S. flight cancellation forecast. With that, here are some driving safety tips
01:44in the snow. If you do have any travel, reduce that speed. Make sure you're not tailgating and
01:50avoid locking up those brakes and don't power up hills.
