01:48The document specifies that all the victims were civilians and more than half of them
01:52are women and children who were killed in what the ministry described as horrible and
01:57brutal crimes.
01:58With the latest figures, the authorities announced the number of people killed in Palestine since
02:02October 7 last year stands at 45,317, while the number of wounded has reached 107,713.
02:17Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived in court in Tel Aviv on Monday to
02:21take the stand again in his long-running corruption trial.
02:24Netanyahu will answer charges of fraud, breach of trust and accepting bribes in three separate
02:30cases during his appearances.
02:33He is accused of accepting goods worth tens of thousands of dollars from a billionaire
02:36Hollywood producer in exchange for assistance for his personal and business interests.
02:41In addition, he is also on trial for promoting advantageous regulations for media models
02:46in exchange for federal coverage for himself and his family.
02:51For his part, the Zionist Prime Minister claims that charges are a witch hunt orchestrated
02:55by hostile media and a biased judiciary.
02:59Netanyahu is the first sitting Israeli leader to testify as a defendant in a criminal trial.
03:22The original rains battered northwestern Haiti, leading to flash floods, which brought about
03:26at least seven fatalities and 10 other people injured.
03:30Authorities specify that about 10,000-11,000 buildings have been flooded.
03:34Subsequently, deaths have been reported in Ruth Regrasse, Guamuazes and Mont Bethel areas.
03:41In addition, data are still being collected on locations, damages to houses, schools,

03:57Departments of North and Grand Anselm.
04:07In this context, the Haitian government announced a plan to help the most vulnerable households
04:11in the midst of the climate crisis the country is experiencing.
04:14With the aim of satisfying some of the basic needs of the population, the government will
04:17launch a special program at the end of the year to support the most vulnerable.
04:22They emphasize that priority will be given to the elderly, disabled and single mothers.

04:41And the Public Ministry of Peru initiated a preliminary investigation against the company
04:46for an alleged crime of environmental contamination.
04:49The investigation began after the oil spill in the south zone of Las Capullanas Beach.
04:54The Peruvian Environmental Evaluation and Control Agency reported that the oil spill
04:58affected approximately 10,000 square meters of sea surface water.
05:03According to reports, 2,000 people have been affected by the spill, mainly fishermen and
05:08tourist employees.
05:09The investigation seeks to clarify the causes of the spill and ensure that the necessary
05:13measures are implemented to repair the damage caused.
05:19And in the United States, Kilauea Volcano, one of Hawaii's youngest and most active
05:26volcanoes, erupted Monday morning, triggering an orange alert in the area.
05:30The U.S. Geological Survey reported that the eruption occurred within the Halamenaumau
05:35crater and that lava fountains up to 80 meters high were observed shortly after it became
05:41active.
05:42Authorities warned that there is currently no immediate threat to infrastructure as volcanic
05:47activity has stabilized.
05:49The main danger now lies in high levels of volcanic gas, which can have far-reaching
05:53effects on wind direction.
06:01And in Mozambique, the death toll from the passage of Cyclone Chido rose to 120.

07:23In El Salvador, official deputies passed on Monday afternoon a new mining law that approves
07:27mining exploitation, which was banned since 2017.
07:32Social and environmental organizations gathered in front of the Legislative Assembly to show
07:35their rejection of the mining law and also pointed out environmental and social risks
07:40for the population.
07:41Protesters assured that they would continue with the demonstrations, as pressure on the
07:45government to express their dissatisfaction.
07:47The decision was made despite protests from the Council of the University of El Salvador,
07:51which expressed its concern about the environmental impact that the reactivation of metallic mining
07:56would generate in the country.
08:01And in El Salvador, the Archbishop of San Salvador, Monsignor José Luis Escuadralas,
08:06asked the government of Nayib Bukele not to pass a new mining law that would harm the population.
08:12We want to ask the authorities of our country, both the government and the legislature, not
08:25to approve a new mining law that would allow mining exploitation in our territory.
08:34On the contrary, the law that was approved in 2017 that protects our country from all
08:42mining exploitation should remain in force.
08:47We are facing a life-and-death situation.
08:51It is not a partisan political discussion.
08:55It is about the protection of people's lives, people's health.
09:02That is why we made this request, and that is why the Church raises its voice for the
09:10benefit of all, on behalf of these people who have suffered so much over time, over
09:18the years, since the conquest, and in the name of God Himself.
09:24We ask you not to allow mining exploitation, which would take away the precious metals
09:33of our country, once again stripping us of them, but this time leaving in their place
09:42a large amount of lethal poison, lethal poison that will cause much harm to the population.
09:55Likewise, the leader of the Santa Marta community, Peter Natareno, pointed out that the people
10:00are still outraged at the approval of the new mining law.
10:08There is a lot of indignation.
10:10People are outraged after, in our case, almost two years of struggle for the release of the
10:16five environmentalists, community leaders.
10:20Then the unconstitutional president that we have spoke, saying that they are going
10:25to open mining in this country, which has outraged the people who fought for many years,
10:30even having environmental martyrs in 2009, having people who fought and had to take refuge
10:36in Europe, such as journalists from Radio Victoria, among other organizations that were exiled.
10:44In other news, in Colombia, former drug trafficker Fabio Ochoa Vazquez arrived at BogotĂĄ's El

10:54trafficking.
10:55Former associate of the late drug lord Pablo Escobar, Ochoa Vazquez was released by the
10:59U.S. Justice Department on December 3rd.
11:01The 67-year-old former MedellĂn cartel leader arrived accompanied by U.S. agents who turned
11:07him over to Colombian immigration officials.
11:09Vazquez was convicted by U.S. jury in May 2003 of conspiracy to distribute cocaine and
11:14attempted drug smuggling in connection with the shipment of up to 30 tons of cocaine per
11:19month into the United States between 1997 and 1999.
11:28And also in Colombia, the Institute for Development and Peace Studies denounced this Monday the
11:32murder of Secretary of the Peace Agreement Pedro AnĂbal SĂĄnchez Linares.
11:37The signatory was reported missing after being abducted from his home in San Vicente del
11:42CaguĂĄn, Caqueta.
11:43The NGO pointed out that there is a high probability that the signatories who live in this
11:48mountainous area are in danger.
11:50The text emphasizes that the assassination takes place in a context of historical
11:55stigmatization of farmers' reserve zones and accusations against the signatories of the
12:00final peace agreements.
12:01To date, 31 signatories of the 2024 peace accords have been assassinated.
12:07And in Panama, several former presidents issued a statement emphasizing that the country's
12:14sovereignty and independence are non-negotiable, also supporting the recent declarations of
12:19President JosĂ© RaĂșl Molino.
12:21In the text, the personalities point out the sovereignty and independence of our country
12:25are non-negotiable and are part of our history of struggle and irreversible conquest.
12:30It is one of the great values that we Panamanians offer to the world.
12:34Given the international community, they guarantee that we will not participate or be active
12:38in any conflict.
12:40They conclude it by saying we Panamanians may think differently in many aspects, but
12:44when it comes to our canal and our sovereignty, we all unite under one flag.
12:49As former presidents, we support the statements made by President JosĂ© RaĂșl Molino and unite
12:54under the affirmation that the sovereignty of our country and our canal are non-negotiable.
13:05In this context, President JosĂ© RaĂșl Molino thanked on Monday in his social media acts
13:10the leaders and peoples of the region for their support in the face of the threats of
13:14President-elect Donald Trump to take over the Panama Canal.
13:18The head of state acknowledged the support of heads of international organizations and
13:22Panamanian compatriots in general.
13:24Solidarity messages from Cuba, Venezuela, Mexico, Colombia and China, among others,
13:29expressed their support to the Panamanian government and people in the face of Trump's
13:33interventionist comments.
14:03Welcome back.
14:14In Chile, Mapuche communities denounced state violence against their culture after police
14:18actions in their territory.
14:20The Mapuches claimed that the Chilean investigative police had also violated their fundamental
14:24rights, contradicting the peace plan and the agreement reached with the government.
14:29In this sense, the actions provoked further criticism of the façade of the peace plan
14:33and what the Mapuche consider an extension of the historical state's repression against
14:37their people.
14:38A statement issued by the Mapuche community on December 18th emphasizes the rejection
14:42of the police actions and reiterates that they constitute a violation of fundamental
14:46rights.
14:53In Argentina, the Minister of Deregulation and Transformation is moving forward with
14:57a new deregulatory decree that puts 20,000 workers of the coastal river maritime transport
15:02on alert.
15:03This deregulation has affected 6.9% of the population living in urban conglomerates during
15:09the third quarter of this year.
15:11It is about the insanction of the decree that brings with it the disappearance of the National
15:15Merchant Marine.
15:17It is estimated that more than 20,000 jobs are involved, so members of the Maritime and
15:23Fluvial Union Federation met with the Undersecretary of Navigable Waterways to reverse this decision.

15:56team, dominated by conservatives, and new figures from the central left.
16:00One of the most urgent tasks for the new team will be to draw up a budget for 2025.
16:05The new cabinet takes office after a month of political deadlock and pressure from financial
16:10markets to reduce France's colossal debt.

16:52inspired by the upcoming Harbin 2025 Asian Winter Games.
