00:00We mentioned the takeover and them coming in and nothing was going to happen overnight.
00:09Sean Dyche, before he was sacked, was obviously certain that players had to come in. Now David
00:14Moyes is so certain as well that reinforcements are needed. Yes, there's that little gap at
00:19the moment from the relegation battle, but things can change so quickly when you're down
00:24there and you're really struggling and you don't want to get to the position where you
00:28are relying on other teams to be misperforming. Why has it been so slow this month for Everton?
00:35I know obviously the takeover has only really just taken place and just processed. It's
00:40not going to happen straight away, as I say, and maybe fans will continue their frustration
00:46towards that and the lack of investment because, as we pointed out before, they've got the
00:51most loans in the Premier League. They've relied on loanees, for example, for a number
00:55of seasons now as well, and they've got these older players as well. What should their strategy
01:01be moving forward as well on top of that?
01:04I think it's been a difficult month. January has already been a slow month. There hasn't
01:08been a lot of movement, has there? Changing managers hasn't helped. Probably there was
01:16a list of targets shown up to Sean Dyche, maybe to suit his style a bit more. Frequent
01:21groups were seeing talks with him over part ways and then they had to open talks with
01:28David Moyes. I don't know how long you're looking at it, a period, maybe five to seven
01:33days maybe, where probably all transfer talks are on hold. Then David Moyes has come in
01:39and he's been talking to the recruitment team saying, right, who have we identified? He
01:44wants to have his say because when he was there in his first spell, he was very, very
01:50involved in recruitment. Look, if he's going to be playing these players, he wants to have
01:55a say. Anyone, if they're not going to come in and improve the squad. We've seen the likes
02:00of Evan Ferguson linked and Brighton, but obviously he's got a lot of suitors. Keegan
02:06Doosby-Hall, Carney Chukwumenka, the pair to Chelsea, maybe it depends on what happens
02:11with Brosia, but they might happen later in the window. They're going to be heavily
02:16pursued by other clubs. So it's about probably waiting and seeing if you can get those deals
02:24over the line, or it'll certainly be an interesting final week for Evan in the transfer window.
