Absolutely chuffed at this right handed Bent Press w/105lb(47½kg). Yes, the left handed one looked great, but the right has been 'off' for years!
Why? The Quadratus Lumborum(QL) on the LEFT side has been keeping me from bending & twisting around enough for the right arm to fully sit on the body during the Bent Press.
This means that halfway through getting the right arm straight, the arm leaves the support of the Lat putting all the stress on the shoulder....NOT WHAT YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO DO!
Once the arm is locked straight THEN the shoulder should be working. Truly, the only time you should be lifting on a Bent Press is when it's TIME TO STAND!
Soooooo NOW WHAT? l'd say the sky is the limit and some big weights are going up soon! God Bless!
