00:00You have that connection of around the league. But I know
00:19you have a connection with the Pacific Northwest. Tell us about
00:22Brian Schottenheimer. Yeah. And kind of, you know, what you
00:26remember and what people are saying about him and what, you
00:29know, we need to know about him as a, as a head coach. So I
00:32think Pete Carroll had four offensive coordinators. He got
00:36there in 2010 in Seattle. And at first, it just wasn't a very
00:40good fit. Jeremy Bates was more of a past guy. Pete wants to
00:44balance. And so we had Darryl Bevel was there. And, you know,
00:48Schottenheimer of all the coordinators that were there,
00:51Schottenheimer was far and away the highest offensive points per
00:56game. He was about 26 and the others were about 22. Now, you
00:59could say, okay, did that, did he just hit it right when
01:02Russell Wilson was in his kind of prime, that could be part of
01:06it that their the complexion of their team changed some to where
01:08they weren't quite as good on defense. So maybe they had to be
01:10a little bit more aggressive. But I always thought that he I
01:13mean, he statistically, he clearly had the best run with
01:17Russell Wilson of any of the coordinators there. And after he
01:20left, it wasn't long before it was kind of going downhill. So I
01:23give him some credit for that. I think he was pretty well
01:27thought of, you know, I think the thing about Schottenheimer,
01:30he's just, he's what head coaching candidates used to be.
01:34They used to be 50 years old. And they've, in his case, now,
01:39he didn't spend a bunch of time in college, but they used to
01:41have a bunch of time in college, they have some years as a
01:44position coach, you'd have some years as a coordinator, and then
01:48you get your chance. And now it feels like the coaches are, it's
01:53almost like the drafted quarterback, you'd rather take
01:56your chance on Drake made than have, you know, Kirk Cousins or
02:01whatever, even though there's a good chance that Kirk Cousins is
02:04going to be better than Drake, right, right. And so there's
02:07almost this appeal of the unknown of what the young guy
02:10could be, versus we feel like, well, Brian Schottenheimer has
02:13been around time, he's probably a solid coach, right. And that's
02:17an interesting component to me, you know, I think that he was
02:21well thought of, though, had had a good run there. And, you
02:27know, I think he was solid. But I don't think anybody was
02:30feeling like, you know, they were, oh, my gosh, did you see
02:33what they were doing this thing that had never been done before?
02:35Sure. It was more just solid.
