Time for an EXHAUSTIVE coaching search
Bryan Broaddus says the only hope for the Cowboys is to have an exhaustive coaching search, not just a skim around the pile of former coaches.

00:35you know, and think about these things that, you know, Mike and I, Mike Zimmer and I, everybody
00:41knows he and I are friends.
00:43Mike will tell you they're not playing well enough.
00:45I said that Mike would be a button up, you know, button up crew.
00:48They haven't been buttoned up.
00:49They still give up way explosive plays.
00:51It's been a problem for them, you know, but if you're going to make a change with the
00:55head coach, conduct a real coaching search.
00:59That is your hope as a Cowboys fan because you know they're going to draft.
01:03You know they're probably not going to sign anybody in free agency.
01:06So your hope is, yeah, okay, we're going to draft, great, but how are you going to coach
01:12this team?
01:13You know, it needs to be a real and exhausting search if that's the case.
01:19You don't need to, hey, let's bring in, you know, Marvin Lewis and have a good old laugh
01:24and a dinner and then, oh, well, let's have another drink with Mike McCarthy and this
01:28is our guy.
01:29If you're Jerry Jones and you're 82 years old, you need to ask Will McClay, Steven Jones,
01:35Adam Pacifica, Todd Williams, everybody that's involved with that front office, give me the
01:40list of all the coordinators or head coaches that move the ball, that call plays that we
01:44think, whether that's pro or college, I need all the names.
01:49And then as you work through these names, then you need to figure out, okay, well, then
01:54if I'm going to hire you, who is your offensive line coach?
01:57If I don't like your name, I'm not hiring you.
01:59If I don't like your defensive coordinator, I'm not hiring you.
02:03This needs to be an extensive, you got beat by a very well coached team yesterday that
02:09has a good roster.
02:10They have a very, very good roster.
02:12They lost their best player yesterday, but for some reason, I kind of feel like that
02:16team's going to be okay because of the toughness that they play with.
02:21So that's my hope as a Cowboy fan.
02:25The season doesn't look good right now.
02:27There's a lot of problems that you have.
02:30And so the evaluations now, do the autopsy on when you got several weeks left, but do
02:36the autopsy, what you think.
02:38And if you make a coaching change, make sure it's an exhausting search.
