00:00Jennifer Lawrence fell over at the Oscars and the world fell in love with her. Janet
00:09Jackson revealed she's secretly married and Bollywood stars shared their tips on relationships
00:14with us. This is your weekly wrap for Tabloid.
00:16Forgive us if we're looking a little tired. We're still recovering from staying up all
00:19night to watch the Oscars. It was worth it though. Host Seth MacFarlane got some laughs,
00:23Ben Affleck triumphed eventually and overall it was a fair spread out arrangement that
00:27was pretty predictable. Then again, during the biggest moment of the biggest night of
00:31her life, Best Actress winner Jennifer Lawrence fell over and we fell in love with the goofy
00:35star of Silver Linings Playbook. She then went into a press conference in which she
00:39described what was in her mind at the time, a bad word, and the next day remembered she'd
00:43forgotten to thank her director and producer. She sent a statement in which she said, quote,
00:48she'd had a brain fart during her speech. Kristen Stewart turned up on crutches and
00:52successfully managed to make everyone talk about something other than her wins at the
00:56Razzies the night before. She was named Worst Actress at the Oscars spoof, which rewards
01:00the year's worst films. As for the host, Seth MacFarlane said he'll never do it again and
01:06next year's hot favourite Tina Fey turned it down, jokingly commenting that choosing
01:10the dresses would take months in itself. Janet Jackson revealed what we might have already
01:14guessed, that she secretly married her Qatari boyfriend Wissam Almana last year. The couple
01:18released a statement just before making an appearance together at an Almani fashion show
01:22this week to halt rumours that they had been planning a lavish wedding. The couple reportedly
01:27first met at the Almani Hotel in Dubai in 2010. Congrats! Interestingly, it's not her
01:32first secret wedding. She secretly married Rene Elizondo Jr. in 1991. They separated
01:38in 99. Overseas, there's more worrying news about Lindsay Lohan. She says she wants to
01:43go into schools and hospitals to raise children's spirits and counsel them on making the right
01:47choices. A serious case of do as I say, not as I do. She's hoping this programme will
01:52help her stay out of jail. Her driving case goes to trial March 18th. The Rolling Stones
01:57won the Best Live Act award at the UK's NME Awards on Wednesday and Ronnie Wood took the
02:02opportunity to hint the band want to play at this summer's Glastonbury Festival, one
02:06of the world's biggest summer music festivals. Also winners on the night were Florence and
02:10the Machine, Biffy Clyro and the Maccabees. Variety is the name of the game on the UA's
02:14entertainment scene this weekend, kicking off with a fantastic fan day at the Dubai
02:18Tennis Championships, where a top player will choose the best fan costume on Thursday. US
02:23comedy actor Chris Tucker will be doing two nights of stand-up at the Do Forum in Abu
02:27Dhabi, while in Dubai, the 80s is celebrated with performances by Rick Astley, ABC, Heaven
02:3317 and T'Pau at the Absolute 80s Rewind Festival on Friday. And this weekend is the start of
02:39the Qasr al-Hosn Festival, celebrating the Abu Dhabi fort's heritage. A spectacular
02:44show telling the story of the UAE's culture has been created by Franco Dragone, the co-founder
02:48of Cirque du Soleil and it's expected to be a hit. It's on until March 9th. Now over to
02:53Manju for this week's Bollywood news.
02:56People have done stranger things to enter the Guinness World Records, or so we tell
03:00ourselves when controversial Pakistani actress Veena Malik became the first person to receive
03:05137 kisses on her hand in one minute. With this dubious distinction under her belt, she
03:11broke Salman Khan's 108 kisses in one minute record set in 2011. Speaking of Salman, the
03:17actor jetted into Dubai to begin shoot for his next project, Mental. Directed by his
03:21brother Sohail Khan, Tabloid can reveal that Salman shot a few scenes at the Belhasa driving
03:26centre on Thursday. According to sources, the actor will be in Dubai for more than a
03:30week and will stick to his tradition of shooting a Dubai-set song sequence. Tabloid also caught
03:36up with Bollywood siren Chitrangada Singh, who rolled out a few tips about relationships
03:41and men. Remember, men can only do one thing at a time. When you tell them constantly to
03:46do something, it doesn't work. They'll do just the opposite. So break them in easy,
03:50said Singh. And how do you know when a guy is not into you? Singh works out the math
03:55with, you know a guy is not into you when you send a long BVM and he responds with just
03:59K, not even OK. That to me is not a good sign and perhaps you should then look for an exit
04:05sign, said Singh. Director Ram Gopal Varma's movie The Attacks of 2611, based on the Mumbai
04:10terror attacks in 2011, will not be released in the UAE this week as scheduled and is still
04:15under the review of National Media Council. In cinemas, catch John Abraham refusing to
04:20man up in romantic comedy I, Me or May. Giving him company is Prachi Desai and Chitrangada
04:26Singh. There's also road trip comedy Identity Thief and crime thriller Parker starring Jennifer
04:31Lopez and Jason Statham. And that's your weekly wrap.
04:35Thanks for watching.
