00:00Hello there welcome to your latest weather update from the Met Office. Well
00:04most of us have seen some rain over the last 24 hours or so and as we go through
00:09the rest of today I think we will continue to see that risk of rain across
00:12much of the UK. Really it's going to be in the form of showers so in between we
00:16will see some sunnier moments with most frequent showers really across parts of
00:21Scotland and Northern Ireland where they could potentially also be heavy with the
00:25odd rumble of thunder possible. For most of us temperatures will be down on
00:29recent days we could still see highs reaching around 17 or 18 degrees in the
00:33southeast so still feeling fairly warm here but I think for most of us feeling
00:37fresher compared to the week just gone. Into this evening for much of England and
00:43Wales the showers generally fade in the way leaving largely clear skies but for
00:47Scotland and Northern Ireland they will continue to move in accompanied by an
00:51increasing wind here too so quite a blustery end to the night with showers
00:54also just arriving back into parts of Wales and southwest England as we
00:58approach dawn on Monday. But for many eastern and central areas under the
01:02clear skies turning chilly we could see a touch of frost in the countryside also
01:07similar conditions across the far east of Scotland. But for eastern Scotland and
01:12much of central and eastern England a fine start to the day on Monday. Elsewhere we
01:18will see further rain move northwards so really for much of eastern Scotland
01:22northwest England and Wales a fairly disappointing day to come. Some heavy rain in
01:26places and plenty of cloud for western Scotland and Northern Ireland similar
01:32picture to today really a mixture of sunny spells and showers and again some of
01:36these showers could be on the heavy side but for much of eastern England
01:39especially East Anglia and southeast England a fine day to come plenty of
01:43sunshine around and with the sunshine it will feel a little bit warmer
01:47tomorrow compared to today we could see highs reaching around 19 or 20 degrees
01:51here but elsewhere similar to today but I think if you're stuck under the rain this
01:56is as I said going to feel fairly disappointing. Moving into the evening
02:01we are just keeping an eye on the risk of some heavy rain just arriving into the
02:05southeast corner but I think the main bulk of the rain as we see out Monday will
02:09be in a very similar position from eastern Scotland down towards the far southwest of
02:14England. Then looking ahead to the week ahead really it's going to be a fairly
02:19changeable one further rain at times especially during the middle of the week
02:23but there will be some sunny interludes at times and really this setup does
02:27look like it will continue as we move into the Easter weekend itself but you can
02:31find out more information about the weather where you are on our app or on our
02:35website but from me for now take care and I'll see you again soon.
