00:00Hello there.
00:01It's going to be a much brighter afternoon for many areas, but further heavy rain as
00:05we head into tomorrow with another weather warning in force.
00:08But before we talk about that, let's talk about this afternoon, where there's going
00:11to be much more sunshine around, and with lighter winds, it's going to feel pleasant
00:15and warm in the sunshine too.
00:16Now, we can't totally rule out the odd shower, particularly across central and southern parts,
00:21but they should be fairly isolated.
00:23That's away from Northern Ireland, parts of Scotland, though.
00:26More cloud here, still a little bit breezy across the very far northeast of Scotland
00:30too, and had a chance we could see a few more showers in these areas, but elsewhere it should
00:35be largely dry.
00:36Highs of 17 to 18 degrees across parts of the southeast, still a little bit cooler across
00:41Northern Ireland, parts of Scotland, highs just about reaching into the double digits here.
00:47Now as we progress through into the evening, most showers, if there are any, should eventually
00:51ease away, lingering on for a time across parts of Scotland, but further cloud, outbreaks
00:56of rain pushing in from the southwest.
00:58And that's going to lead to quite a damp start across Wales, Devon and Cornwall, and parts
01:02of Northern Ireland.
01:03But elsewhere, plenty of dry weather, plenty of clear skies, but that means it's going to
01:07be a cooler night.
01:08We'll likely see some frost, particularly across the north, by the time we reach the morning.
01:12Perhaps even the odd spot of mist and fog by the time we reach the morning as well.
01:16But a very different start in parts of the west, milder and with outbreaks of rain.
01:21And that rain is going to continue through much of the day, I'm afraid, across western areas.
01:25It could be heavy at times, particularly around hilly areas, and it could sound quite breezy
01:30too as this low pressure system drifts its way northeastwards.
01:33But across the far east, it's going to be a much brighter day on offer.
01:37Once again, plenty of sunshine and feeling warm in the sunshine too.
01:40But those temperatures are going to struggle across Northern Ireland, parts of Wales, parts
01:44of the south and southwest where we see those outbreaks of rain.
01:47So cooler here and quite a wet day on offer.
01:51Now, as we progress further into the evening, areas of quite persistent rain means totals
01:56are soon going to add up here across the southwest.
01:58So we do have a warning issued for much of Devon and Cornwall.
02:01So do keep an eye on our website for more information about that.
02:05But eventually we'll see more and more rain creep its way in from the west.
02:09And that's as a result of this area of low pressure.
02:11But it eventually fizzles out as we head our way later Saturday through into Sunday.
02:16So actually Easter Sunday is going to be quite a bright day for many, particularly across
02:19eastern areas.
02:20But notice low pressure, never too far away as we head our way into bank holiday Monday.
02:25So further rain on its way here.
02:27So do keep an eye on our YouTube channel for any updates on those, particularly later on
02:32YouTube.
02:33Alex Birkhill will be going through the full bank holiday weekend.
02:36Otherwise that's it from me.
02:37Bye bye.
