00:00Hello and a very good morning to you on this Thursday morning, which is chilly for many.
00:05A lot of clouds across Scotland with some showery bursts of rain and showers will pop up elsewhere as we head through the day.
00:11The air remains rather cool right across the UK as low pressure shifts towards the far north.
00:17So winds are lighter and we will see some brighter skies around.
00:22However, into Good Friday, another area of low pressure attempts to move in across more western parts,
00:27bringing with it some showery bursts of rain.
00:30Brighter skies further east as we head through the day, but the winds will be a feature of the weather yet again.
00:36Now through this morning you may run into a shower across central southern England.
00:39There's a few around, but a clearer sky is allowing for temperatures to drop overnight.
00:44So a bit cool, but we'll see some sunshine.
00:46A better start of the day for Northern Ireland.
00:48More clouds across the far north of England, a little showery rain.
00:51And here's that low pressure with showery rain just circulating around that low with some stronger winds.
00:57So for Scotland, yes, you'll see more cloud through this morning and again a little bit of wet weather.
01:02But the rain is not as intense and there will be some drier skies around.
01:07Now through the morning you can see where we'll see that brighter weather, but the cloud will slowly build.
01:12And there's a likelihood of some showers as we head through the afternoon.
01:16One or two heavier pulses can't be ruled out, but we hang on to some brighter weather further north and those showers fading away through the latter part of the day.
01:24At the same time, that rain becomes showery across Scotland.
01:27So some drier skies attempting to push in, particularly across the northwest as well as southern areas.
01:32Here, temperatures arriving around 11 or 12 degrees Celsius, so slightly higher than Wednesday.
01:38Further south, we'll see temperatures around the mid to high teens.
01:41So that's the picture through this afternoon.
01:44Through this evening, yet again, those showers continue for a time across Northern Ireland.
01:49Dry skies elsewhere, clearer weather through the night.
01:52But notice towards the far west, some showery rain may just clip the west country pushing up across Irish seacoast towards Northern Ireland.
01:59And through the day, on Good Friday, we'll see some fine weather across central and eastern areas with some sunshine.
02:05And that showery rain remains confined to more western parts.
02:09But through the afternoon, yet again, as that cloud builds, there is a chance of one or two scattered showers.
02:15Now, through Saturday, some showery bursts likely across more southern areas.
02:19Further north and east, a bit of a breeze, a cool wind, but some fine weather, if not some sunshine coming through.
02:25And you'll find that showery rain tends to sort of wax and wane as we head through the day, but still a fair amount of cloud here.
02:34So brightest skies always towards the north as well as the east.
02:37Now, here's your outlook through Easter day.
02:39A lighter wind, some fine weather coming through, a mix of sunshine and cloud.
02:44Towards the far west, there is a chance of a few showers.
02:47I'll see you later.
02:48I'll see you later.
