00:00Hello there, welcome to your Tuesday evening weather update from the Met Office.
00:05Some heavy rain around this evening and a strong wind for Northern Ireland,
00:08all courtesy of an area of low pressure which will slide down across England and Wales into tomorrow,
00:15just bumping in towards the far south-west of Scotland.
00:18It will fade away eventually, some showers to follow, a little sunshine coming through.
00:23Into Thursday, more cloud across the north-east of Scotland,
00:26and then we look towards the west where there will be a succession of weather fronts,
00:29but moving in erratically through Thursday and into Friday.
00:33For the time being, you see where the heaviest rain is, moving towards Wales, the west country as well,
00:37so some wet and windy weather here, and then it pivots around towards central southern England
00:41as well as the Midlands through the early hours of tomorrow morning.
00:44Now towards the north, expect some mist and fog patches through the night, some clearer skies here,
00:49and that rain continues as we head into the early hours of Wednesday morning,
00:53keeping temperatures higher, but quite a breeze associated with this,
00:56some stronger winds and also some wet weather to start the day on Wednesday.
01:01So let's pick up on the distribution of that rain first thing.
01:04Anywhere from, I'd say, south Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, down towards the south-east of England,
01:09where we could see the odd moderate burst, showers towards the south-west.
01:13The rain then clears Northern Ireland through the morning.
01:15You see some brighter skies, a better day all round, and some brighter weather also coming through across Scotland.
01:20Away from the far north-east, where we'll see more clouds and a little showery rain.
01:23In fact, showers could pop up anywhere through the afternoon, and they could turn heavy across Scotland.
01:28A legacy of cloud further south there across England and Wales,
01:31so we lose the sunshine across the bulk of the day tomorrow until later on, where it will slowly break up.
01:37Temperatures then around the mid-teens generally, a bit cooler along this east coast.
01:41So that's the picture through tomorrow afternoon, through tomorrow evening and overnight.
01:47Well, any showers again will tend to fade away.
01:51There will be more clouds along this eastern side with an onshore drift here.
01:55Further west, some clearer skies.
01:57Temperatures dipping down to mid-single figures.
01:59A bit of a cool start to the day come Thursday morning, but mostly dry,
02:03and there will be some brighter skies around.
02:05The clouds should break across many areas.
02:08But notice towards the west for the Republic of Ireland, you'll see some outbreaks of rain,
02:12and that rain slowly making inroads towards Northern Ireland as we head through the latter part of Thursday.
02:18So into Friday, slowly that rain moves in across the western side of Scotland,
02:23as well as Irish seacoast, before gradually moving its way eastwards as we start the weekend.
02:30Showers will follow through Saturday towards the west,
02:33as this cloud and rain continues to make its way eastwards.
02:38And then waiting in the wings, another little feature here,
02:40again bringing some showery rain through the rest of the weekend.
02:44So all in all, showers never too far away.
02:46There will be some fine weather just coming through as well.
02:49I'll see you again soon.
02:50come逃 you again soon.
02:53Alright.
02:53We'll see you soon.
03:01See you soon.
