00:00Oh hey there it's Casey Boyd from the Preston and Steve show and we're back
00:08here in Montgomery County for the Dietz and Watson Real Philly Deli tour. We're at
00:12the corner of Township Line and North Wales Road. We're at Anna's Corner Store
00:15where there's always something good. Let's go check it out we're gonna meet
00:23Anna in a second but before we do that I want to show you what has made this
00:26place so popular and it's the Anna Made Meals. You can come here and you can
00:29get some fresh homemade meatloaf, chicken pot pie, shepherd's pie. Apparently the
00:33chicken pot pie just goes off the shelves like that. And if you're looking for
00:37some homemade soups or anything that's you know made locally come here to Anna's
00:41Corner Store. Let's go meet Anna.
00:46So this is Anna. She is the owner proprietor and chief deliologist here at
00:52Anna's Corner Store. I'm reading here that you guys have been named the best of
00:56Monaco in 2017 but that history goes back since you guys opened here seven
01:01years ago. First year after we opened we won the best of Monaco and we've won it
01:04every year since we've been here. 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17. All around the store. Now here we are in
01:092018 I guess we can expect more of the same. Well the voting's gonna start soon. So
01:13you've been in the food business your entire life pretty much? Yes. And it shows
01:16here in the products that you make and in fact what are we gonna make this afternoon? We're
01:20gonna make an Italian Supreme for us. Here we are with head deliologist. This is Danielle.
01:25Danielle say hi. Hi. How are you? Danielle you're gonna make the Italian Supreme for us. I am. And
01:29we're putting on and I I don't want to give away any secrets but we're putting on
01:33the garlic mayonnaise. Yes. Two ingredients garlic and mayonnaise. You didn't you didn't
01:37get that from me. That's all you did. All right so take me through the steps here. What are we
01:39gonna do? We're gonna start with the garlic mayo and I like to give it a nice generous coating and then next we
01:46actually use a sharp provolone instead of a regular provolone. It just really goes well with the
01:52with the prosciutto and everything else on it. And then next we grab our capicola and then our last
01:57eat would be genoa. Salami. Genoa salami. So we top that off. So if you want pickles on there I would
02:04probably put the pickles on next. And then we'll just salt pepper oregano. Sounds good to me.
02:10This is the part of sandwich making that that gets me every single time. I don't know how you're
02:14going to be able to fold this and then cut it while keeping everything intact. So what I normally
02:19do is I take a knife and I cut it down the center like that. Oh it is my obligation. I have to
02:26take a bite of this thing. It's the quality control. That's what we call it. It's part of my job.
02:32Where would you start? Up here down there? At the bottom. At the bottom?
02:35I didn't need a napkin. I'm glad I started at the bottom because that's where all the garlic mayo was.
02:48We've never done this before. Okay. But I'm actually giving you an award
02:53for the best Italian supreme hoagie. Oh thank you. Congratulations. I got a
02:59your own decent Watson. Thank you. Congratulations. Thank you so much. Thank you Al. Thank you.
