00:00But let's begin with some news on DraftKings today and a new class action lawsuit has been filed in Pennsylvania that challenges some of DraftKings promotional tactics, which is basically based on advertising deposit bonuses.
00:15Five customers in the suit alleges that the company's bonus terms, $1,000, $2,000 deposit matches, are intentionally complex and very misleading, according to the suit, which requires excessive playthroughs that make it nearly impossible for users to benefit.
00:33So naturally, promotional bonuses coming under fire here a little bit with the company that we know here as DraftKings.
00:40We will update you as we go. But the biggest story in the NBA last night comes at the end of the game between the Rockets and Golden State Warriors.
00:47Now, the Rockets did tie up the series at one apiece against the Warriors.
00:52But as they return back to the Bay Area, the question is going to be, will Jimmy Butler be able to suit up?
00:57He was injured in the game last night where Golden State lost to Houston 109-94.
01:02Jalen Green was the big scorer for the Rockets. He had 38 points and 8 for 18 from 3.
01:07Steph Curry had 20. But Butler only played eight minutes in this game.
01:12He's having an MRI on his hip today. And we'll see what his availability will be for the weekend.
01:19And as of right now, Steve Kerr, the head coach of the Warriors, says if they have to adjust, they got to get it done quickly.
01:26Yeah, we'll see how it all plays out. I mean, we have to, if Jimmy's out, we have to rethink, you know, everything like rotations and who starts and the best combinations and all that stuff.
01:42Yeah, I mean, we guarded well enough last game, like we said, held them to 95.
01:47Today is 94. And really in the 80s with some late buckets they have.
01:51But that carried over well. And we knew if we took care of the ball, got some shots, we were going to knock some of those down.
01:57And obviously, Jalen was a big part of that. But everybody else contributed as well.
02:01And guys are aggressive. So that's what it looks like. We hold a team to that.
02:04We should have comfortable wins like we have all season.
02:06And like I said, first game's out of the way. Guys got their rhythm back, got their focus confidence, never left.
02:13But get the jitters out and have a good offensive show and we'll be in good shape.
02:17The number one seed in the East, Cleveland Cavaliers have a 2-0 series lead in their best of seven with the Miami Heat,
02:23although another close game yesterday. In fact, there was a point in the game where Miami was just down two.
02:29But the final score, 121-112. Donovan Mitchell just went off again in the second half.
02:36He had 30 points, 7-10 from three-point range.
02:39Tyler Hero had 33 points, five assists, and three rebounds as the series now shifts back to Miami,
02:46who obviously need to get a win in Game 3 or Game 4.
02:49This thing is going to be a wrap pretty quickly.
02:51But Kenny Atkinson, happy with the outcome of this game, but still seems to think the team can go to another level.
02:56But we've got to do a better job, right? We can't be a make-or-miss team.
03:02Like, oh man, we're missing and now they're grabbing offensive rebounds and Tyler got loose on us.
03:08So we've got things to clean up, but really proud of the guys for holding their composure.
03:16They cut it to two. You could feel the game slipping a little.
03:21We kept our composure. Obviously, it helps when you've got Donovan Mitchell.
03:24Once it got to, you know, seven or eight, I think those last four, I think we, you know, were discouraged, you know,
03:36just for a short period of time. And this team, you know, they can make shots.
03:40You just have to, you have to be relentlessly consistent and stubborn.
03:47You have to continue to make those efforts and close out and get a hand-to-ball contest,
03:54even if they make four or five in a row.
03:57Then that means you have to show even more resolve.
04:00And so that's what will get better. Those, whatever it was, four, I just remember,
04:05you know, those were not the same efforts.
04:09And we'll clean that up.
04:10Game three in Miami this weekend. Meanwhile, there will be a game three in Orlando this weekend as well.
04:17Two teams in Florida playing in the playoffs.
04:20I don't know that either has a shot, honestly.
04:22The Celtics yesterday beat the Magic without Jason Tatum,
04:26although Orlando did cover the 10-point spread, 109-100.
04:30Jalen Brown had 36 points in the absence of Tatum, 10 rebounds and five assists.
04:35Paolo Bencaro had 32 points for the Orlando Magic.
04:39It was a really close game throughout, but the Celtics once again find a way to win.
04:44And that seems to be the theme, according to Joe Mazzula.
04:47If you can't get it done on offense, find a way on defense.
04:51Yeah, I mean, just, you know, both ends of the floor, just executing the game plan, being physical.
04:56You know, physicality is on both ends.
04:59And at the end of the day, you know, you got to be able to win games in different ways.
05:02So I thought our guys did a good job of just making winning plays throughout the game
05:07and do whatever it took.
05:10A lot of adversity that we fought through, which, you know, I like for what our guys did
05:15in that situation, regardless of how, regardless of the circumstances they continue to fight through.
05:22You know, that's the resiliency of this group.
05:24The toughness of this group did not come out on the other end of it.
05:27But our ability to continue to fight regardless of what was happening.
05:33And, again, give Boston credit.
05:35They did what they were supposed to do, take care of home court.
05:37Well, what challenges did your team face defending without fouling tonight?
05:42I'm not the one to answer that question.
05:44I promise I can't answer that one right now.
05:45I think there was some things that you'd like to look at and say differently.
05:51I'm not one to complain about any of it, but there's a reality that, you know, all of our
05:55starters had two fouls at one point quickly.
05:57And there was time it was 16 to two in the free throw count.
06:02That's part of how the game goes.
06:05And that's what we got.
06:05It's got to learn to push through and fight through.
06:07And that's what these guys did.
06:08Now, when we get to the free throw line, we got to knock them down to can't miss nine
06:11in a nine point game.
06:14All right.
06:14Now let's get over to the National Hockey League in the Stanley Cup playoffs.
06:17The Edmonton Oilers, they've been here before.
06:19They're going to have to rally again.
06:21They're down 0-2 in their best of seven series with the LA Kings, 6-2 the final.
06:26Adrian Kempe had two third period goals, two assists.
06:29Tyler Segwin scores in overtime.
06:31The Stars beat the Avalanche 2-1.
06:32They're up 2-1 in the series as well.
06:35And the Capitals beat the Montreal Canadiens 3-1 in game two.
06:38They now have a 2-0 series lead in their best of seven series.
06:43Hottest team in Major League Baseball right now, there's no doubt.
06:46Fans are packing in right now to Citi Field to watch the New York Mets.
06:49They keep winning.
06:50They walk off the Phillies in the 10th inning.
06:51They've now won seven straight games, and they're playing their best baseball of the
06:56season.
06:564-3, the final.
06:58Pete Alonzo of the New York Mets has been starring throughout the season, been playing
07:02one of his best seasons ever, coming back on this one-year deal with the Mets.
07:06And he talks about how great things are going.
07:08I mean, we're in it for each other.
07:10We're all playing for each other.
07:11I mean, this is a really great group.
07:13I mean, I've said it pretty much right off the rip in spring.
07:17It's like this is a really tight-knit group because we have that.
07:21There's so many guys here from the year before where it's like we have experience together.
07:25We have continuity.
07:27And then the guys that were added just kind of, not just talent-wise, but personality-wise,
07:31they just kind of gelled right in.
07:33And it's like we've been playing together for a year.
07:35So this is a really special group.
07:37Cubs beat the Dodgers again, 7-6, the final.
07:40Pete Crowe Armstrong, the star.
07:42Three-run home run in the fifth inning.
07:44Also, red-hot James Wood of the Washington Nationals just keeps on hitting.
07:48He's got eight home runs now on the season.
07:50Orioles are struggling.
07:51Washington's playing well.
07:524-3, the final there.
07:53And the Yankees beat the Guardians 5-1.
07:56Aaron Judge is having the best start to his career in terms of batting average.
07:59Right now, it looks like he could exit the month of April batting over .400.
08:03You don't see that that often.
08:044-15 batting average to start.
08:06Also, the Milwaukee Bucks made an announcement just minutes ago.
08:10Their general manager, John Horst, gets an extension.
08:12We'll see how their series goes against the Indiana Pacers.
