00:00Today, I want answers from you, Scott.
00:03Why you set fire to my garden?
00:05Why did you beat my daughter up?
00:07Why are you harassing her?
00:08And why the hell won't you just leave my family alone?
00:11He made her own worse.
00:12He made her lie.
00:13He made her start drinking.
00:15Start taking mamba.
00:16She came home with bruises all over her body.
00:19This is your garden on fire?
00:20Yeah.
00:21I haven't set no fire to your house.
00:24He used to hang around with Becky.
00:25She used to throw herself everywhere.
00:27Fine.
00:27Shut up now.
00:28It's big in his face.
00:29I would shut up now.
00:31You do not know my daughter.
00:32Hold on.
00:33You don't know me.
00:34I thought he sat with your daughter.
00:35Yeah, he's done me a good thing for me.
00:40What are you?
00:41What are you?
00:41The one that beats an OAP up and got sent down, Bowie.
00:46Just let me see our boys, Jay.
00:48You think I'm letting you see them kids, mate?
00:49You'll be a dirty little convict that'll be an OAP up.
00:52I miss him.
00:53I cry every night in bed because I want to see my kids.
00:56Uh, good things.
00:56It was her that walked out on the kids on her birthday and never came back.
01:00You, no.
01:00You, you kicked me out the house.
01:02You packed all my stuff and put it on the front garden.
01:05Stop lying.
01:05Thank you, my friends.
01:15Good morning and a big, big welcome to the show.
01:31Right, my first guest today, Shelley, is here to expose her daughter's ex-partner, Scott,
01:35after she said she caught him on CCTV setting a fire in her garden.
01:40She says that she was utterly shocked when she turned on her TV recently to see him on this show
01:44and says that he pulled the wool over my eyes.
01:47She says I'm here to make sure no woman ever goes near this low life again.
01:51She says, Jez, you've got to wake up and smell the colic.
01:54Shelley's here.
01:54Give her a round of applause.
01:55CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
01:57Now, I will start this by saying, um, I'm sure in 15 years people have pulled the wool over my eyes.
02:06You say that I've got it really wrong with Scott.
02:07People will recognise him.
02:09Shelley, you are here.
02:10Becky's, uh, your daughter.
02:12Uh, Scott was going out with Becky.
02:15You say, I tuned in, he's a con artist.
02:18I'm here to expose him.
02:19Tell me more.
02:20I want answers today why I set fire to my garden when we was on holiday.
02:25Um, he's constantly beat my daughter up.
02:29Well, let's just talk about that.
02:30I'm here to expose Scott.
02:32How long was he with your daughter?
02:33Two years.
02:34What is it that you say he did in that time?
02:38Well, she was happy before she met him.
02:40She never made herself homeless.
02:42He made her homeless.
02:43He made her lie.
02:45He made her start drinking, start attacking Mamba.
02:49Um...
02:49You say it was almost like he brainwashed her, right?
02:51Definitely.
02:52You say that he's a woman beater.
02:55Yeah.
02:55What do you mean by that?
02:56She came home with bruises all over her body.
02:58You actually ever physically see him hitting her?
03:01No.
03:01OK.
03:02Um, I want answers.
03:04Uh, Scott and his mate Rhys, um, set fire to my garden.
03:08What do you mean by that?
03:10Set garden...
03:11He came out of prison.
03:12Who did?
03:13Scott, came out of prison, and there was an asshole in prison with him trying to...
03:18This is your garden on fire?
03:19Yes.
03:20I was on holiday.
03:22He got some of his friends on my face.
03:23This is your CCTV...
03:25Yeah.
03:25...taking a picture of your garden on fire.
03:28Now, I don't want to...
03:29I don't...
03:29We've got another picture.
03:30Well, that doesn't...
03:31How do I know that, Scott?
03:33Well...
03:33We can tell the way he walks.
03:36I haven't set no fire to your house.
03:38Well, isn't it funny how everybody had messages...
03:43Well, isn't it funny how I got arrested for it, right?
03:46I got arrested for it.
03:47I got arrested for it.
03:47Got infused about it.
03:48You had CCTV.
03:48You had CCTV.
03:48You had CCTV.
03:48You had CCTV.
03:49Because you thought she was in my house.
03:50I got NFA'd.
03:51I didn't do it, you ch...
03:52Oh, is that you on CCTV?
03:56No, mate, do you think that's me, really?
03:59I got arrested for it.
04:00NFA'd.
04:01Not me.
04:03You got away with it, but how come you and your two little boys are arsonists?
04:08I never heard of that guy.
04:09The police didn't know what's that.
04:10Why?
04:11Why?
04:11Go and sit down a minute, Scott.
04:12We'll bring you out.
04:13Why?
04:13All right, look.
04:14Just get rid of that picture.
04:15I don't mean to be rude.
04:16That picture does nothing for me.
04:17I'm not being disrespectful.
04:18There's no way on God's earth anybody could claim that that was anybody.
04:21Let's talk about the relationship with Becky that you say would lead him to do that.
04:24Becky says in a statement,
04:26I was disgusted to see Scott act innocent on the last show.
04:29He's made my life hell.
04:30He's a controlling, manipulative bully.
04:32He made me sleep on the streets,
04:34choose him over my family and was often violent.
04:38He would take all of my money and leave me penniless.
04:40He sold my belongings and kept the dosh.
04:42I wish I'd never met him.
04:43I want him to stop messaging me and stay out of my life for good.
04:45You say that Scott was in the garden with his mates
04:48because he was still after your daughter.
04:50Can't get over her.
04:51Obsessive about her.
04:52Yes.
04:52He's sent everyone messages asking for them to help him look for her,
04:57find out where she's living.
04:59He wants her back.
05:00Who are you?
05:01I'm Rhys, mate.
05:02Why are you here?
05:03To support my mate and to support my...
05:05Were you in the garden setting fire?
05:07I don't believe that, Scott.
05:09Not in a million years.
05:10He's not that kind of person.
05:11So is this woman telling the truth about her daughter?
05:13I think she's lying, mate,
05:15because when I was with Scott,
05:16he used to hang around with Becky.
05:17She used to throw herself everywhere.
05:19Fine.
05:20I shut up now.
05:20Spit in his face.
05:21You want to shut up longer?
05:22I would shut up now.
05:23You do not know my daughter.
05:25Hold on.
05:25You don't know me.
05:26I thought he's there with your daughter.
05:27No, he has not.
05:28I know your daughter.
05:29You took...
05:29No, he has not.
05:30Hold on.
05:33Oi.
05:34Squuffy little...
05:35Squuffy little weasel.
05:37Who are you?
05:38Oi, I'm not going to...
05:39Who are you?
05:40Drag.
05:41Get off until I tell you to come on.
05:45Where is the security in this damn building?
05:48Can you stop these people coming on, please?
05:51Isn't it true you told...
05:52Scott told us you'd slept with Becky?
05:54No, his girlfriend was accusing me of sleeping with her.
05:56That's...
05:57How do you know?
05:58That's what she's told Scott.
05:59Because I've never heard my daughter tell me.
06:00She would tell me that if that was true.
06:02So she's not with Scott.
06:03Hold on a minute.
06:04She's not with Scott.
06:05No.
06:06You're here to defend your daughter.
06:07Scott pulled the wool over my eyes.
06:09He set fire to my garden.
06:10He's harassing my daughter.
06:11Why have you come to the show today?
06:12What do you want?
06:13I want him to leave us alone.
06:14Leave my daughter alone.
06:16Just stop harassing her.
06:17You think he still wants her back.
06:18Let's concentrate on the story.
06:19Scott's on the Jeremy Kyle show that way.
06:27Right, Scott.
06:28There are so many different people associated with this story.
06:31And people shouting and screaming.
06:32You were on this show before.
06:33You say that this woman never liked you.
06:36She says you're chasing her daughter, mate.
06:39No, I'm not chasing your daughter.
06:39His daughter keeps messing around.
06:40Shut up!
06:41I moved on from Becky two years ago.
06:44I've been getting on with my own life.
06:45You've only been split up a year.
06:46No, we haven't.
06:47Yeah, you are.
06:47No, I haven't.
06:48You split up when you went to prison, mate.
06:49Your daughter is the one who's trying to contact me all the time.
06:51You split up when you went to prison.
06:54Yeah, when I went to prison.
06:55Yeah.
06:55Right.
06:56And then what **** did you call him prison?
06:57Yeah, and then you're trying to accuse you.
06:57What did you get a prison for?
06:59What was it?
06:59Non-dwelling burglary.
07:01Brilliant.
07:01So that's acceptable, isn't it?
07:03You already know this.
07:03Breaking into a church?
07:04Please take my house.
07:06Have you been violent to her daughter?
07:10Never.
07:11No, it isn't.
07:12Yes, it is.
07:13She got bruises all over it.
07:15I've got a few.
07:15He says that was a love bite.
07:16That picture.
07:17He says it isn't a bruise.
07:18I've got a few girlfriends.
07:18I don't think so.
07:20I've got a few girlfriends.
07:20How do you know?
07:22Because I had to take her to the hospital.
07:23Then why didn't you come here a year ago or two?
07:26Because you're harassing my daughter.
07:28And my daughter, you want to do it on here, and I said, come on here, she's not well enough.
07:32You lived in her house, didn't you live in her house with her daughter, yeah?
07:36I've bit, yeah.
07:37You say that Shelly's house is disgusting, she's lazy, she made me do a lot, and she slapped
07:42me backside every now and then.
07:43Oh, did I?
07:44Yeah.
07:44Lovely.
07:45When did I do that?
07:46I don't know, when I sat on the settee.
07:48How can you have you backside slapped if you sat down?
07:51I stopped you backside while you were on the settee.
07:52No, I got up to go to the kitchen.
07:53Don't you talk, pal.
07:54No, you talk.
07:55Did you set a garden on fire?
07:57No.
07:57You're no longer with Becky.
07:58You're not harassing, you didn't set fire to the garden.
08:00You're saying, yes, he is.
08:01Jay.
08:02Jay is who?
08:03Help me out with Jay.
08:04Who's Jay?
08:05My sister's axe.
08:06This is Gemma, your sister?
08:07Yeah.
08:08Right.
08:08Who you beat Beck up in front of?
08:10No, I never.
08:10Yes, she did.
08:11No, I didn't.
08:11No, I didn't.
08:12Yes, she did.
08:12He had to stop you.
08:14No, I haven't.
08:14No, I haven't.
08:14I've never touched Beck.
08:15And he frittened you.
08:15I've never touched Beck.
08:16Who did he beat out?
08:17If I found out you touched her when she, she wouldn't tell me.
08:19You used to get me beaten up by your family.
08:27And ain't Becky going out with Jay?
08:28Why is he here with you?
08:30It's a different relationship.
08:31It's with me because I had close contact with Jay when you made my daughter go on the run.
08:36Never made her go on the run.
08:37Yes, she did.
08:37You were jumping train.
08:39No, I wasn't.
08:40Yes, you are.
08:41So please have to stop you.
08:42What's interesting is you say you hate Jay.
08:45Since he split from your sister, he stopped you and her and the family from seeing the kids.
08:50This man's got your sister's kids, yeah?
08:52Yeah.
08:52Does that mean actually he's not as bad as you say he is?
08:55Eh?
08:55Why has he got the kids if he's such a dad?
08:57He won't let her see her.
08:58See him.
08:59Why has he got them then?
09:01Legally, why is it?
09:02Because he's a brilliant dad.
09:03No, no.
09:03He's making out she's an alcoholic or this and that, right?
09:06He's a brilliant dad to them, boys.
09:07She doesn't do anything wrong.
09:09Jay's on the Jeremy Carl Show.
09:10Put it there.
09:16Scott, Scott, you're a bit of a slave and you'll come into mine, Scott, when you're living at mine.
09:21You were beating Becky up at mine.
09:23No, I wasn't.
09:23And I don't know why you brought that to it.
09:24A little scumbag with your folks.
09:25He knows.
09:26Treats my sister.
09:28Yeah, he's done me a good favor, mate.
09:32What are you going to do?
09:34What are you?
09:34The one that beats an OAP up and got sent down for it.
09:38Listen, you said, look.
09:39You say this, mate.
09:41Beats your ex.
09:42Missed up, mate.
09:43I'm just saying it stamped on your little.
09:45Yeah.
09:46Oh, do you want to get you?
09:47I can't see his own son.
09:48I can't see my son.
09:49Are you back to your son?
09:50May I have my video?
09:51Yeah, because you went to prison, didn't you?
09:53Sorry, who are you?
09:55Shut up.
09:56Who are you?
09:57Our gentleman's new fella.
09:58Well, we're attacking him.
09:59So you're now going out.
10:00Shut up.
10:01You're now going out with his sister.
10:03You used to go out with his sister.
10:05He's a cousin.
10:05Be quiet.
10:06What?
10:07He's Jay's cousin.
10:08I'm glad he's talking.
10:09You're cousins and you're now...
10:10I'm glad he's done me a favor, mate.
10:12So you're no longer...
10:13So this is great.
10:15Let me just, a quick synopsis for people before we go to an outbreak.
10:18If you want to get me a camera.
10:19You're here saying that this man pulled the wool over my eyes when he was sleeping with your daughter.
10:23He was a thug and he was a bully.
10:25And I'm here to say, leave my daughter alone.
10:27You're a thug and a bully.
10:27Hold on.
10:28Shut up.
10:29Be quiet.
10:29Your sister, Gemma, used to go out with Jay.
10:32Jay, apparently, is a thug and a bully.
10:34Don't say it well.
10:34But he's actually got the kids.
10:36Your cousin, who you used to be close to, is now sleeping with your sister.
10:38And you two are now against you two.
10:40Are you sleeping with her?
10:41No, I'm not.
10:42Because every person on this stage has had sex.
10:44Back after the break.
10:45I haven't got a clue.
10:46Are you stopping her from seeing the kids because she's having sex with your cousin?
10:50It's different when our son was two days old and you booted my stomach after emergency C-section, innit?
10:55Oh, yeah, of course I did.
10:56Of course I did.
10:59Do you have an interfering ex?
11:03Are they ruining your relationship?
11:05Do you suspect your partner of secretly sleeping with their ex?
11:09If you're 16 or over and you'd like to be considered for the show, email talk at ITV.com along with your number.
11:14Text talk plus your name to 63334.
11:17Text cost 25 pence plus one standard rate message.
11:19Or you can call my team today.
11:20It's 090111.
11:22It's 123456.
11:24Of course, it costs 25 pence plus network access charge.
11:29So, in essence, why are you here?
11:39Just don't say a word.
11:41Her daughter Becky, his relationship's over.
11:44You have got great with him because you used to be with his sister Gemma.
11:48You've got the kids.
11:50Yeah.
11:50So, if you're a thug and a bully and an awful this, that and the other, how come you've got the kids?
11:54Yeah, I know.
11:55Now I'm asking you, how come you've got the kids?
11:57Well, it's what, it's come her birthday.
12:00No, no.
12:00What, legally, if you've got the kids?
12:02Well, I'm just actually going for a solicitor to get her.
12:04Have you stolen the kids?
12:05No, I haven't.
12:05She left on me because she walked out.
12:07So, then why can't you ever see him then, mate, if you haven't got no paperwork?
12:09Scott, you can't say nothing, mate, because you're making Becky go into a tent, mate.
12:13Are you stopping her from seeing the kids because she's having sex with your cousin?
12:17No, I've stopped her seeing on me because she's always getting f***ed.
12:20No, she isn't.
12:21No, she's not.
12:22She's crying day in, day out, mate.
12:24Yes, she cares a lot more about them kids.
12:26Will you tell him to shut up?
12:27No, he's not sitting down.
12:30Shut up!
12:32Are you denying this mother, Gemma, her kids because you're jealous of the fact she's now sleeping with your cousin?
12:39I'm not bothered, mate.
12:40What has this got to do with Becky and Scott?
12:42Because when he was stopping at mine, in between four and six, he was actually bringing Becky to my ass.
12:49You've seen him beat Becky up?
12:50Yeah, he was bringing Becky to my ass because he threatened her at mine and everything.
12:53So, he says he's seen you hitting her.
12:55And then one day, when we had a boyfriend, one at a time, if you remember right,
13:00when Beck, when I was sleeping in my tent, right, I tried to make her go back.
13:02In your tent?
13:03Yeah, I had to make her go back.
13:05I tried to make her go back.
13:06My daughter had to go home.
13:07No, it wasn't right.
13:08One at a time, for God's sake.
13:10Me and Gemma, right, tried to make her go back, her boss back, right, because...
13:14You made her homeless because I had a phone call from a social worker.
13:19Can I do that?
13:21I was going to put her in care.
13:21I know, Shelley, Shelley, the thing is, I know I'm getting old.
13:25I'm just, there are so many different strands to this story.
13:27There are accusations flying everywhere.
13:31You've got his nephews and nieces now.
13:33You won't emcee them or Gemma.
13:35You're here saying he beats his daughter up.
13:36You're all saying that I had the wool pulled over my eyes.
13:39Jeremy, I'll pass you like the taxes, mate.
13:40I'm pulling wool over your eyes.
13:41I had a social worker's phone in me telling me to keep my daughter away from him.
13:43And that's why she started doing the runners.
13:46Because she was blackmailing her all the time, beating her up, stealing her money off her.
13:49You got her a contract, love.
13:51I'm going to...
13:52What in her name?
13:53What I just had to pay for?
13:54In his name?
13:55I remember it.
13:56I just had to pay for it because of her.
13:57Do you want to be with her daughter?
13:59God, no.
13:59And you don't want him to be with your...
14:01No.
14:01Right, then why the hell are we here?
14:03Because he wanted me daughter.
14:04No, I don't.
14:05I don't want your daughter.
14:06I've moved on, right?
14:07You're messaging people.
14:08I've been with another girlfriend.
14:10That's all I'm getting.
14:11I've been with another girlfriend, right, for about nine months.
14:12And I've only just split up with her, right?
14:14I'm so deeply in love with her, right, because she's helped me out.
14:16What, you don't be here at all?
14:17No, I haven't beat her up.
14:18Oh, we're just listening to you then, aren't we?
14:20Scott, Scott, I've seen all the phone calls about three weeks ago.
14:23Where you tried phoning her about ten times.
14:25Hey, I ain't got a phone.
14:25And you wouldn't even leave her alone, Scott.
14:27Her boyfriend, that's when I phone calls you and you tell him Beck that you love her.
14:31That was about two months ago.
14:31Where is Becky?
14:33Is she not here today?
14:33She can't come on, Jeremy, because she's too ill.
14:35That's your fault, she says.
14:37It is her fault.
14:38Now I've got a choice.
14:39Now I can either get your cousin, who now goes out with your expert as your sister,
14:44which has nothing to do with Becky,
14:46or I can go back to Gemma, who's now sleeping with your cousin,
14:49who you used to sleep with, and speak to her.
14:52I've no idea what I'm going to do.
14:54What?
14:54Teca pit mix has done me a favour, mate.
14:57You're not upset that you're not with Gemma anymore?
14:59No, I'm glad.
14:59Let me go and speak to Gemma.
15:00I'm glad, mate.
15:01It's done me a favour, mate.
15:02What?
15:02Stop calling me your mate.
15:03I don't ever see you again after today.
15:05Let's just go this way.
15:06Let's just go this way.
15:07Thank you very much.
15:07I love the fact in this building,
15:09everybody just stands there with their arms out.
15:11Right.
15:12Hello.
15:12Hello.
15:13Have we met before?
15:14No, we haven't, no.
15:14Right.
15:15Sit back.
15:17I don't quite know what this has got to do with Becky,
15:20although I think Jay says that he witnessed Scott beating Becky up in the house.
15:26Did you ever...
15:26I've not seen nothing like that.
15:28You've never seen anything like that?
15:29No.
15:29That's interesting.
15:30That counterbalances what Jay says.
15:31Right, we'll move it on.
15:33I want to know how a woman...
15:34How old are you?
15:3522.
15:36Why have you not got your kids?
15:37Why are you not...
15:38Because of Jay.
15:39He reckons that I'm drinking all the time.
15:40Are you?
15:41No.
15:41He's the one that's not...
15:42He's the one.
15:43I think the people on stage should shut up and listen.
15:46Put it on this plasma.
15:47Can you put this on this plasma mat, or can you not do that?
15:49Can she see Jay?
15:50Yeah.
15:51Stop shouting.
15:51Stop saying anything.
15:52There's Jay.
15:53Speak to him, Gemma.
15:54Go on.
15:55Just let me see our boys, Jay.
15:57You've got no chance.
15:58Why?
15:59Gosh, you're not.
15:59Why?
16:00You think I'm letting you see them kids when you're a dirty little convict, there'll be an OAP up.
16:05I miss him.
16:05I cry every night in bed, because I want to see my kids.
16:08Er, dooms don't cry, well, yeah.
16:10See what I mean?
16:11So you've just said, Jay, actually, interestingly, that it's because...
16:14It's different when our son were two days old, and you booted my stomach after emergency C-section, innit?
16:19Of course I did.
16:20Of course I did.
16:22You're like an old dirty prostitute.
16:24You are jealous.
16:25She's with your cousin, aren't you?
16:26I just want to see my kids.
16:28Can I ask you a question?
16:29If there's no definitive reason why you can't see your kids, why aren't you getting legal representation and going to court right now?
16:34You're their child's mother.
16:35I know.
16:36I was phoning up to speak to the children, and every time that I was ringing up, Jay was then putting the phone down and ringing the police.
16:43I was only phoning up because of the kids.
16:45Do you think it's because you're with his cousin?
16:47I think so.
16:47Well, then why did you make that stupid decision?
16:49Can I just say something without you thinking badly of me?
16:52If your kids are the most important thing, why don't you just concentrate on that instead of the next man?
16:56I am concentrating on my cousin.
16:56Then why are you with his cousin that's just going to cause problems?
16:58He wasn't concentrating on us.
17:00But he's with the kids.
17:01Yeah.
17:01Is he a good dad?
17:03Is he?
17:03I'm asking you.
17:04No.
17:05Well, why are you allowing your kids to be there, then?
17:06Why aren't you in the court right now?
17:08Why are you saying the Jeremy Kyle show as a mother?
17:10Surely that would be your main focus.
17:11I'm not having a go.
17:13Do you know what I mean?
17:14How much do you miss him?
17:15A lot.
17:17That's why you rang up, right?
17:18What do you want?
17:19I just want some kids.
17:23You've got to answer that, Jay, without shouting and being rude.
17:26You're not seeing them?
17:26I've not done nothing wrong to them.
17:28Why do you feel that you, just very calmly, Jay, have a right to decide if she sees her kids or not?
17:33What, after everything that she's gone and done?
17:35It was her that walked out on the kids on her birthday and never came back to the house.
17:39No, you kicked me out of the house.
17:41You packed all my stuff and put it on the front garden.
17:43Yeah, because she walked out on them, you dirty little rat.
17:45Are you talking to me?
17:46Stop lying!
17:47Dirty little rat, man.
17:48Jay, you are controlling this situation.
17:51You told my team I won't do this show if Gemma comes on stage.
17:54What right is it for you to decide what I do on my show?
18:03This woman's crying out to see her kids.
18:05Give me a...
18:05Very calmly, without that idiot in the audience shouting out or anybody else screaming.
18:09Look straight down the camera and tell me, man to man,
18:11why in the name of the Lord this woman shouldn't see her kids
18:14if you truly love your children and are not playing God with their lives
18:17and, more importantly, are bitter and twisted that, in fact,
18:21she's having sex with your cousin,
18:23which, from a male point of view, can't be easy to handle, eh?
18:26Come on.
18:27It's her that walked out on the kids on her birthday.
18:29Maybe people make mistakes.
18:30Do you think that by denying them their mother and slagging her off,
18:34you're doing them any good?
18:35What, what?
18:35After all the threats that I've had,
18:37she's threatened to have me hospitalised and that lot?
18:39And you can't deny it, Jell.
18:42No, I haven't.
18:43I sent it all to this.
18:44It's a completely different story, and the worst part about this is...
18:47What?
18:48Come on, we'll go and sit on.
18:49Come on.
18:50I just want to sit on.
18:51Yeah, come on, we'll go on stage and we'll get it on out.
18:54Apparently, for some utterly unknown reason...
18:56Stay there.
18:56I'm not having a go.
18:57I have no idea.
18:58Just, just stay there, you guys.
19:00Just, just...
19:00Because I really...
19:02This is...
19:02I've just...
19:04Right.
19:05Is there a legal reason why I can't, on my show,
19:08get a woman that I want on my stage?
19:10Stand up and be a man.
19:11Why can't I do that?
19:12I don't, I don't want to talk to her.
19:13I don't have to watch who you're starting.
19:14But there's the mother of your kids.
19:17Yeah, yeah.
19:17What I'm trying to say is, listen to me,
19:19because I don't have a problem with you.
19:20Go on.
19:21You do all right, and then you let yourself down.
19:24The fact is, look at me.
19:25Yeah, but then...
19:25I have been there.
19:26Listen to me.
19:27It's not nice.
19:28But you are allowing whatever you say to me, J.
19:30You are allowing the fact...
19:32And I would think he was the lowest of the low.
19:33Somebody that you're blood-related doing that.
19:35I wouldn't want to give him the time of day.
19:36But that's not the kid's fault.
19:38And actually, yes, it might be her fault,
19:39but that doesn't make her a bad mother.
19:40And all that's concerning me
19:41is this war goes on and on and on and on.
19:43Do you know what will happen?
19:44They'll end up turning on both of you, probably,
19:47and getting angry.
19:47If you had definitive proof,
19:49however difficult...
19:50Yeah, well, I've even sent all the messages
19:53where she's threatened to have me put in hospital.
19:55Fine.
19:55And I'll be lucky she calls an ambulance and that.
19:57Be the bigger person.
19:59Imagine being able to show your kids that you tried.
20:02Yeah, I've tried so many times.
20:04I even offered her to come down.
20:05I'm going to go to a break.
20:06I even offered to meet her at Pox and...
20:08I'm going to prove...
20:09I'm going to hope that you're a better man.
20:12I'm going to go to a break.
20:14I'm going to bring the cousin out.
20:15You're not going to lose your own.
20:16It can be whatever.
20:17I'm going to give you a chance in three minutes
20:19to prove that you're decent enough
20:21and love your kids enough.
20:22In fact, she agrees to sit there and bite the bullet
20:24because you love your kids more than this confrontation.
20:26Back in three.
20:27Don't go anywhere.
20:27Can you say that?
20:29Olly.
20:30Don't drive me this.
20:30Don't drive me this man.
20:32His cousin, why would you do that?
20:33I'm told I'm evil, everything.
20:35I just want to stop it, mate.
20:36I started this show 13 years ago
20:44and I wanted to help men fight to see their children.
20:46I'm going to do everything I can to make sure he sees his kid.
20:52I think I like it.
20:52It'll be good for her, yeah?
20:54To help addicts change their lives.
20:56There is nothing in the world
20:58that is a better option than this.
20:59We'll get an intervention that will help you cope.
21:02To give victims an important voice.
21:04I've never seen what you do to me.
21:06I'm going to make sure this boy has as much help
21:09and as much support
21:10and you can do whatever you want.
21:12To reunite families.
21:16For 39 years, you haven't seen a Karen's
21:18on the Jeremy Giles go that way.
21:20And of course, as you know,
21:22I believe that everybody should know who their dad is.
21:24He's your dad.
21:26She's your dad.
21:30I don't know about you,
21:31but I think we're doing a pretty good job.
21:33If you're 16 or over
21:35and you'd like to be considered for the show,
21:36email talk at itv.com along with your number.
21:39Text talk plus your name to 63334.
21:41Text costs 25 pence plus one standard rate message.
21:44Or you can call my team today.
21:45It's 09011.
21:47It's 123456.
21:48Calls cost 25 pence plus network access charge.
21:51Thank you all for being with you.
21:59Welcome back.
22:01Your shout.
22:03My shout.
22:04I came here today.
22:06Got a photograph of some fire in a garden.
22:09Got a photograph of your daughter
22:10with what looks like a bruise.
22:11Could Scott have attacked her?
22:12Maybe he says it's a love bite.
22:14He says he's moved on.
22:15You says this.
22:16He says you're that.
22:17Into the mix comes Jay,
22:19who's got beef with him.
22:20And this centres on Scott's sister, Gemma.
22:24I'm sure she's made some horrendous threats.
22:27I'm sure you are seething at the fact
22:29that she's sleeping with your cousin.
22:30I would be as well.
22:31But if there is inside you...
22:33I'm not bothered about that.
22:34That she's sleeping with me.
22:35OK.
22:36But then as the father of these kids,
22:38are you doing the right thing?
22:39Being as vindictive, it seems,
22:41in terms of your approach to the kids,
22:43is that benefiting them?
22:44Is all I'm trying to say.
22:45Do you know what I mean?
22:46Is it helping them?
22:47Yeah, I know what you're saying.
22:49But I even used to phone her up in that lot.
22:52I even used to make arrangements with her.
22:54Are you a big enough man to...
22:55Go down to the park.
22:56Are you a big enough man to let me try and put this right
22:58for the sake of the kids?
23:00Go on.
23:00Gavin's on the Jeremy Kyle show.
23:09Say that, mate.
23:10How the...
23:11Can you say that?
23:12Oi.
23:12No, Jeremy.
23:13This gentleman like this man.
23:14His cousin.
23:15Why would you do that?
23:16What?
23:17Why would you do that?
23:17I love her.
23:18I take care for her.
23:19This...
23:19Did you love her before?
23:21Before?
23:21When he was with her, yeah?
23:22No.
23:23Never.
23:23Do you think that being the way you are is helping the situation?
23:27Yeah, it is, yeah.
23:27I support her.
23:28You're not seeing a kid.
23:29You might do, but being aggressive ain't going to get anything done, is it?
23:32Well, maybe not, no.
23:34How's that, is it?
23:35I might have an in, though.
23:38Yeah, that's, yeah.
23:39It's 50-50, isn't it?
23:40It's bad as each other and you're right in the middle.
23:41Maybe, yeah.
23:42It's your blood and you crossed a line.
23:43How would you feel if you were in?
23:45Me, I don't go.
23:45If you were going out with her and your cousin went to sleep with her, how would you feel?
23:49Me?
23:50Crack on with her.
23:50Bye-bye.
23:51See you in a bit.
23:51Get out of the door.
23:52That's me.
23:52And then suddenly they're playing happy families and you can't see your kids.
23:55What do you feel?
23:55That's all I'm saying.
23:56Me?
23:56I can't see my kids now, so.
23:59All I'm saying is, all I'm saying is it becomes a war, doesn't it?
24:03Maybe, yeah.
24:03Is that beneficial to the kids?
24:05Not really, no, but...
24:06Is she doing enough rather than jumping into bed with his cousin rather than fighting for her kids?
24:10Yeah, she's been to solicitors, everything.
24:13In your opinion, what was this man like?
24:14No, no, no, no, no.
24:15What was this man like with this lady?
24:16Who am?
24:18No, control of evil, everything.
24:20Stamps on her stomach, mate.
24:21Did you stamp on her stomach?
24:22Yes, I did.
24:23If I stamped...
24:23That's her granddad's house.
24:24If I stamped on her stomach, then why didn't she get in touch with the police?
24:27Why didn't I get done?
24:28If I'd done that, why didn't she get straight in touch with the police?
24:31Because obviously...
24:32Go on, answer that.
24:33Obviously.
24:33Or is that just a lie in one time?
24:34Obviously, I should get...
24:35Like, we're going to get her on now because this is my show and you're going to do what I said.
24:39Gemma's on the Jeremy Kyle show.
24:40Sit down.
24:43Sit.
24:45I don't mean to be rude, but in the whole story that I've been given, for me, the only
24:53thing that matters right now is not whether you or Scott, Becky, this is about the kids.
24:57Kids, yeah.
24:59Let me see the kids, Jay.
25:00What have you done wrong?
25:01What have you done wrong?
25:03No, no, no, no, no.
25:05Well, look at me.
25:06Did slightly cross the line, but the kids are in the middle.
25:08What have you done wrong?
25:09What threats before him?
25:10What have you said, people?
25:11What have you done to this guy?
25:13Nothing.
25:13I've done nothing.
25:13So why would he be like this?
25:15Oh, I don't know.
25:15A controlling freak.
25:16Gemma, you sent me messages, Gemma, because I sent them to Jeremy's team where you went
25:21and told my cousin, oh, if Jay don't let me see the kids, then Gav's going to plaster
25:25him all over their place and I'll be lucky if I call an ambulance.
25:28Why are you stopping me, Jay?
25:30Who says this, Lance?
25:30Why?
25:31Who says this?
25:32She's...
25:32Let her...
25:33Cousin.
25:33No, see, sir.
25:34Let her...
25:35Let her ask...
25:36No, no, Gav.
25:37She sent them all to me.
25:38Are you still in love with her?
25:39She is not...
25:40Nothing on Facebook.
25:41Stop swearing.
25:42So please...
25:43Let's say this woman is with your...
25:46Is she a bad mother?
25:48I don't think she's...
25:49Be quiet.
25:50Is she a bad...
25:51Can you give me anything to...
25:53Do you know what?
25:54I don't want anybody to get upset, because they will.
25:56When we finish this part, they'll be upset with me.
25:57I really don't mean this badly.
25:59I know your sister, your daughter's had a hard time.
26:01We're going to support her.
26:02She and Scott painfully should never be together again.
26:04I actually think you crossed the line, but that's fine.
26:07That's the way it is.
26:07I am literally making this about these kids.
26:11Tell me, give me something tangible that says,
26:14in the name of the Lord, she's a date...
26:16She's not, mate, is she?
26:17You'll pick...
26:17I get all...
26:18I'm actually not against you, but...
26:20No, no, Big C.
26:21Even when I was...
26:21Let us sort it out in a controlled environment.
26:23Even when I was...
26:23Let us sort it out in a controlling environment.
26:25I miss it, I miss it.
26:26Let me sort it out in a controlling environment.
26:29Where this woman, not him, nowhere near.
26:31Not even interested.
26:32I don't want to get involved, mate.
26:33Good.
26:34All I want to say, though, is why is it...
26:36Stop acting all innocent while you're here.
26:37I would do it nicely.
26:39Why is it, then, Mike?
26:40I would do it nicely.
26:41Every time you said you'd go to the shop and you won't belong in,
26:43like you'd go and get petrol...
26:44We're talking about the past.
26:46Would you be an absolute sweetheart?
26:47Are you all right to move?
26:48Can I ask you to leave the stage, Zara?
26:50Can I ask you to go, Gab, yeah?
26:52Gab, can I ask you to leave?
26:54Come here.
26:55I'm sitting.
26:56That's happened.
26:57That's coming up.
26:58Just stop the shopping.
26:59Right, get over here.
27:00You're all right, darling?
27:01That way.
27:01Thank you very much indeed.
27:02Come here.
27:03Come here.
27:04Come here, come here, come here, come here.
27:05Come here, come here, come here, come here.
27:09Come on, mate.
27:10Not really interested about the other story?
27:12I'm not.
27:12Is this woman a danger to her kids?
27:15No, she's always drinking, fathers.
27:16I know unless she's stopped it now.
27:18Mate, is she a danger to her kids?
27:21No.
27:22Right.
27:23Are you hacked off?
27:24She's with your cousin.
27:24Of course you are.
27:25No, I'm...
27:26Maybe you're still in love with her.
27:30Maybe your pride's taken a fall.
27:31Look at me.
27:31Do you love your kids?
27:32Look at me.
27:33Do you love your kids?
27:34Yeah, of course I do.
27:34I love my kids.
27:35I've done it on the T-shirt.
27:36Look at me, mate.
27:37Hardest thing in the world.
27:38Listen to me.
27:38Kids have to decide things organically, right?
27:42They have to come round to what they think.
27:45You don't tell them, because if you tell them,
27:46they'll go the other way.
27:48He's done quite a good job with your kids, hasn't he?
27:51Instead of slagging them off with your new cousin boyfriend,
27:54da-da-da, why don't you say...
27:55I'm not interested in that.
27:55Why don't you say thank you to what he's done?
28:00APPLAUSE
28:00All right, thank you for what you've done, OK?
28:04Here's the thing.
28:05If it wasn't thank you...
28:06All right, then you're saying thank you, then, mate.
28:08Why did you get in touch with social services the other week?
28:11I make out that I beat and move up, Gemma.
28:12Because you're both using whatever you can to beat each other over...
28:15I've never beat them kids up, Gemma.
28:17You're both trying...
28:18You are both trying...
28:19All right, let me...
28:20I've done it nicely.
28:21I'll be really honest with you.
28:22Carry on like this, they're going to care anyway,
28:23and you both have lost, won't you?
28:24You both end up bitter and twisted.
28:26Got a chance here, with a bit of help,
28:27with real help from this show,
28:28to sit down and go,
28:29OK, we don't like each other,
28:31we don't like the choices we've made,
28:32we've made some bad decisions,
28:33but it's about the kids.
28:34Let's work with the car show.
28:35Let's just try and make an arrangement.
28:37Not the partners, not anybody else, not Scott.
28:39I don't even know why he's there, whatever, that's fine.
28:41Let's talk about you two
28:43coming to a plan for the sake of these kids.
28:45Yes or no?
28:45Yeah.
28:47Shake on it.
28:50Yeah?
28:51Yeah.
28:51Good afternoon, mate.
28:59The next guest today, Chelsea is here to confront her partner's ex,
29:02Steph, who's out to destroy her relationship.
29:05Steph split up with Chelsea's boyfriend, Jacob,
29:07over two years ago,
29:08but Chelsea says she clearly can't get over it
29:10because she continues to harass them both on a daily basis.
29:13Chelsea says, you know what?
29:14Today, love, you need to stop this.
29:17Get over it.
29:17I'm happy, you're not, he's mine.
29:20Chelsea is on the Jeremy Carl show that way.
29:27How are you?
29:28You all right?
29:29Where are you from?
29:30Huddersfield.
29:31Lovely.
29:32Welcome to the show.
29:32Chelsea, 18, in a relationship.
29:34Yeah.
29:34I love the fact they don't say he's called Jacob.
29:37They say Steph's ex.
29:38How long have you been with Jacob?
29:39I've been with him three and a half months.
29:42Good relate.
29:42Happy?
29:43Really happy.
29:44You don't like her, though, do you?
29:45I can't stand her.
29:48Hasn't he asked you to marry him already?
29:50Yeah.
29:50It's a bit early, isn't it?
29:52Not really.
29:53You're only young.
29:56Well, my ex never popped a question to me now.
29:58It's within two years.
29:59What were you doing when you met him?
30:01When I first ever met him.
30:03You've got to find this funny.
30:05He's got so many exes, as everyone knows.
30:08One of the exes is called...
30:10If we could get on with this, I'm going on holiday in February.
30:16What were you doing when he met you?
30:18I did a drop in front of the TV.
30:20Yay!
30:22What is it?
30:24Do you want to show her?
30:25Yeah.
30:25You're all right, but it's the new...
30:35It's the Steph.
30:36Look at the look.
30:38Yes.
30:38What's wrong with her?
30:40She's obsessive.
30:41Really?
30:41Really obsessive.
30:42How?
30:43Well, when me and Jay first got together,
30:46she was constantly messaging him, ringing him constantly.
30:48You say she loves him, undoubtedly.
30:50She loves him constantly.
30:52I was in the bath one day,
30:53and Jay comes up asking if I had a coffee,
30:55and she was like...
30:56She rang him saying,
30:57I still love you, come get back together.
30:59She cheated on him three times.
31:01She definitely gets about.
31:03Steph thinks she's fit.
31:05She's fat and ugly and looks like a beached whale.
31:07Yeah.
31:08So there's no danger, then, in your mind,
31:11of him going back to her.
31:12But you say when you have an argument or whatever,
31:14what do you mean she rings up?
31:15Are you sure he's not playing you off against each other?
31:17Oh, no, no, no.
31:18There she is.
31:19Get her off there.
31:20I don't want to see her.
31:22She's an ugly...
31:23All right, OK.
31:24She looks like a clown.
31:26She tries to do her hair and make-up, which fails.
31:28Tom...
31:29Has she got a partner?
31:31Er...
31:31Thomas, I think it is.
31:34I'm sick of Jacob contacting my girlfriend.
31:37Tom says it's your bloke who's doing the dirty on you
31:39and is trying to get after...
31:40No.
31:41But you did say he had a reputation.
31:42She does.
31:43Why are you here today, apart from to make-
31:45Why are you here?
31:46Because I want her to back off and leave me and Jeremy to her.
31:48Well, I guess you'd better tell her.
31:49You say, um, she ain't ever getting my man, he's mine.
31:53Yeah?
31:53She ain't getting nowhere near him.
31:55Right, brilliant.
31:56Steph's on the Jer-
31:56Steph's on the Jeremy Kyle show that way.
32:03What?
32:04Tell him to stay there as well.
32:11What?
32:12Excuse me.
32:12Tell him to stay there as well.
32:15Why don't you just...
32:16I don't know.
32:16Yeah, but no, but yeah, but no, but yeah, but no, but yeah, but no, but yeah.
32:23Er, why don't you just let them go...
32:25Are you still in love with him?
32:26No.
32:27Why don't you keep ringing him then?
32:28I don't ring him.
32:29Why do you keep grinning to yourself?
32:33Speak to her, don't speak into your top.
32:35She says you won't leave him alone.
32:36Come on, give me some in here.
32:38I hate Chelsea, she's threatened me with my kids.
32:41What does that mean?
32:43Have you got kids with him?
32:44I've got two kids with him, yeah.
32:45With Jacob?
32:46Yeah.
32:47And so you need some form of contact?
32:50Well, my...
32:51I don't want to blurt it all over TV and whatever,
32:53but my kids are not in my care.
32:55I've asked Jacob if he'll be there to support me and the kids
32:58if I get them back.
33:00And then it's just her that won't let him be in contact with me.
33:03You say she's jealous I have kids with him,
33:04she doesn't have that attachment.
33:06One minute she's pregnant, then she's not.
33:08This girl...
33:10Did you make it up?
33:11Jacob, they've told me that she's pregnant,
33:13then she's not, then she's on implant.
33:15I don't get why you're so fussed about me and Jay.
33:17I'm not fussed about you and Jay.
33:18Jay blocked my number, he blocked me off everything.
33:21Oh, terrible.
33:21And then he started messaging my sister.
33:24No.
33:24Started having a go at my sister.
33:26No.
33:27Are you in love with him?
33:28No.
33:29I'm losing the will to live.
33:30Who's Demi?
33:31My best friend.
33:33A full friend or half a friend?
33:34A full friend.
33:35I thought it was funny.
33:36Demi's on the Jeremy Carr show that way.
33:43Have you got a problem with her?
33:46Have you got a problem with her?
33:47I've got a problem with her.
33:48One minute you're siding with him,
33:49then you with me,
33:50then you're siding with him.
33:51You're the one that...
33:52You're the one that...
33:53You're the one that opens your mouth.
33:56That opens the mouth about what, Demi?
33:58Shut your mouth as well as your legs,
33:59so shut your mouth.
34:02You look like you're just joking,
34:04and this is a big joke to you.
34:05I've got better things to do.
34:06I find it funny.
34:07Well, why are you here, then?
34:08Because I wanted to back off and leave him alone.
34:09Back off?
34:09Leave him alone?
34:10Why are you so interested?
34:11I'm not the one interested.
34:12I've asked Jacob if he could support me and stuff,
34:14if I got my kids back.
34:15You keep saying that,
34:15but apparently you ring the whole damn time.
34:17No.
34:18It's funny using the kids against him,
34:19saying you're going to move to...
34:20I'm going to...
34:21Who are the one that threatened to take my kids off me?
34:23Stop me seeing my kids?
34:25Did I say that?
34:26Yes, you have,
34:26because it's in text.
34:28Is it?
34:29Who's Tom?
34:29My fella.
34:30Tom's your...
34:30How long have you been with Tom?
34:3210 months.
34:32How does he feel about the fact
34:33that you're always talking to Jacob?
34:35Does he trust you?
34:37Well, we'll find out.
34:38Tom's on the Jeremy Kyle show that way.
34:39Let's go.
34:49Hello.
34:49All right, Jeremy, how are you doing?
34:50Good.
34:51You two need to pack it in, grow up, yeah?
34:53See, the thing I don't understand is this,
34:55which doesn't make sense in what terms...
34:56You won't like this.
34:57You said every time we have an argument,
34:59she rings him.
34:59How would she know?
35:01Maybe your boyfriend rings her.
35:03He's not ringing her.
35:04He's got...
35:04How do you know that?
35:05You said he was a player.
35:06You said he was a...
35:07He's had loads of exes.
35:08Maybe this guy...
35:09I mean, I'm not...
35:09Who would I know?
35:10How would I know?
35:11I'm an old man.
35:12He saves all his contacts.
35:13Oh.
35:13No, he don't, because he's got all logs.
35:16The world's gone nuts.
35:16He messaged him, right?
35:18He messaged him, he blocked her,
35:19she did that with his contacts.
35:20You didn't even know.
35:21I lost the will to live.
35:23That's not thick he is.
35:24And climbing through the...
35:25He no fuck, well, it was you.
35:26He's thick.
35:27He no fuck, well, it was you.
35:27Who's thick?
35:28I'm not thick, you cheeky git.
35:29Oh, no, I'm not talking about you.
35:31Jonah, I'm not talking about you.
35:32No, I'm not thick.
35:33I respect you as a guy, yeah?
35:34Fantastic.
35:34But the thing is...
35:35But the thing is, right, her...
35:37I'm not used to compliments.
35:38I feel quite insecure now.
35:39Go on, brother.
35:40I know, yeah?
35:41Yes, yeah.
35:41Is thick, as I'm telling you now.
35:44Yeah, he is.
35:44It's funny, because he knew straight away, was he?
35:46The thing is, you say I'm a nice man.
35:48You're also a liar, aren't you?
35:49Because you've been telling my team, much as...
35:50I mean, I'm not having a go at you.
35:51I'm just repeating what you said.
35:52You've told my team today that you don't really trust Steph at all, do you?
35:55So why would you tell that to people who work for me
35:56and are actually going to tell me what you said
35:57and then come out here and say,
35:58no, I love her, she's absolutely brilliant.
35:59Well, the thing is...
36:00Because that's a lie.
36:01The thing is, I do trust her in some aspects,
36:03and sometimes I don't.
36:04So you don't trust her totally?
36:05The only reason why is because Jay keeps pestering all the time.
36:08So it's Jay.
36:09So you don't ring her.
36:10Jay rings Hersey, I told you.
36:11He thinks just as much as her
36:13that there's something going to go on.
36:14Is there something going on with you?
36:16No.
36:16No.
36:16There's too much water under the bridge.
36:18I don't want nothing to do with any of them.
36:20I think I'm going to find Jacob.
36:21Is he in one of my green rooms, Bob?
36:23Let's go and see it,
36:23because he might well be enjoying the whole thing.
36:25How does she know to ring him when he has an argument?
36:27Thank you, Daniel.
36:28Jacob!
36:29Yes, Jeremy Kyle.
36:30So, yes, Jeremy Kyle.
36:32Just explain something.
36:33Very quickly,
36:34how is it that every time you have an argument with her,
36:37the other one rings you?
36:38You're ringing the other one, aren't you?
36:39No.
36:39Sure about that?
36:40I am definitely sure about that.
36:41What do you want to say?
36:42I want to say to leave me alone.
36:44Who?
36:45Steph, because every time her and Thomas have an argument,
36:48she ends up ringing me.
36:49So she rings you?
36:50She rings me.
36:51You don't ring her?
36:52No.
36:52Every time she rings me,
36:55it's, oh, me and Thomas have an argument.
36:57Your message to Steph is what?
36:59And leave me alone.
37:00Brilliant.
37:01And leave me alone.
37:03It's all right.
37:03Well, let's just put it a bit nicer than that, shall we?
37:06All right, then.
37:06See you.
37:07Bye.
37:07There's the door.
37:09Nice.
37:09And that's your last word.
37:10And you love Chelsea?
37:11I love Chelsea.
37:12I popped the question to her.
37:14I actually love that girl.
37:16She's 18.
37:17Yes, I know she's 18.
37:18A bit young to get married, isn't it?
37:19Yes, I know so.
37:20Not that anybody would take any marriage tips from me.
37:22But it's funny how the other day I'll get Thomas and Steph.
37:25Why doesn't everybody just grow up and stop harassing each other?
37:28Because she can't leave me alone.
37:29Why do you think that is?
37:31Because when them two split up, right...
37:34Do you not like him?
37:35No, I hate him.
37:36I want to get along with everybody just for the kids' sake, and that's it.
37:40Right, okay.
37:40Well, that's lovely.
37:42Well, it must have been a...
37:42Well, well, oh.
37:44Thank you very much.
37:45Right, we're starting to know what we've kind of left to do right.
37:53We ascertain that if the kids are involved, everybody will...
37:56You two can work together.
37:57They have to do that.
37:58I've got no problem with them seeing the kids.
38:00Brilliant.
38:00Well, that's very kind of you.
38:01Large.
38:02Anything you'd like to add at this point?
38:05They just need to grow up and get up with it all.
38:09I don't mean to...
38:09I can't use the right word here.
38:11I wish I could.
38:12I think everybody needs to bugger off and get on with their own lives.
38:14Exactly.
38:15And grow up.
38:20Look him in the eyes.
38:22Do you love that man still?
38:23No.
38:24Look at him.
38:25I can look at him black and blue in the face all day.
38:28Black and blue in the face?
38:30I hate him.
38:31Mmm.
38:32Methinks you doth protest too much.
38:34Thomas?
38:34Right, we need to do that a bit.
38:36That's all I'm saying.
38:36You two that way, you two that way.
38:38It's been lovely.
38:38Goodbye.
38:38Give him a round of applause.
38:41Back after the break.
38:42Don't go anywhere.
38:43I am desperately looking for someone who might be able to fill the family-shaped hole in my life.
38:48Since I've been born, I've never had a relative that I can rely on.
38:52Sadly, my father passed away when I was a baby,
38:54and I didn't have a mother in my life.
39:01Are DNA doubts ruining your relationship as an ex refusing to accept paternity?

39:19It's 123456.
39:21Calls plus 25 pence plus network access charge.
39:24Hello, everyone.
39:33Welcome back.
39:34The next guest today, John, is here because after a lifetime of living with no family,
39:38this guy is desperate to find someone who might just be related to him.
39:42Now, John says that his father died when he was just a newborn baby,
39:45and unfortunately, he had no other family to have a relationship with.
39:48His loneliness caused him to turn in time,
39:50and this is sort of understandable to a life of drugs.
39:52He became homeless.
39:53But this man, what is he?
39:56He's, he's, I mean, in his 40s now, he turned his life around, he's clean,
40:02and he's just sort of desperate, I guess,
40:03to find anyone that could fill a hole in his life
40:06and to have got to his mid-40s and had nobody, absolutely nobody.
40:11He rang the show and said, you know, what's left?
40:14I want to know if there's anybody out there.
40:16It's a big day for him as well.
40:17We promise to do our best with an appeal.
40:19John's on the Jeremy Kyle show that way.
40:27How are you doing?
40:32Yeah, pretty nervous, Luke.
40:34Really, really appreciate you being here.
40:35Just sometimes on the show, it's nice to just wind back,
40:40take a pull and think about, you've never had anybody, have you?
40:43No.
40:44I only found out when I was about 16 that my dad died when I was a baby,
40:48and...
40:49You're in the care system.
40:50Yeah, for the first three years of my life,
40:52really, I'd say about six months old,
40:55until I was about three, I was put into care by my mother,
40:58because back in that day, when you were a single mother,
41:02my great-none didn't want me to be in the house,
41:05so my mum had to put me into care until I was three.
41:08She got married again in 1973 and she took me back out of care.
41:13But my life basically went kind of like downhill from there.
41:17I ran away when I was eight years of age.
41:21I was found about 24, 36 hours later by an old woman in a bush, sleeping.
41:28Terrific.
41:29And do you know what?
41:29Do you know I wanted to do this story?
41:30Because, I mean, look, I've done it for 15 years.
41:34I do this show and some people argue the toss about something that is so trivial.
41:38You've never had a family.
41:40No.
41:40Why would you come here?
41:42Because, well, I don't mean to be disrespectful to your show, but I've tried myself when I was in care the second time,
41:50because I actually got myself signed into care when I was 12 because of issues at home
41:56that I can't go into, like, because that's a different show.
42:00But I actually put a statement in for myself to put myself back into care at the age of 12.
42:08And I was put on a compulsory supervision order where I wasn't to be left alone until I was 18.
42:12How have you made a life for yourself?
42:15You made some bad decisions by your own admission.
42:19Well, I was an alcoholic.
42:21I started drinking when I was 14.
42:25And by the time I was starting, I was given six months to live because of my alcohol addiction.
42:30Can I just say something?
42:30At the risk of, I think you're amazing, genuinely brilliant, what you've done with your life,
42:35but you're not one of those people who hides.
42:37You're not blaming anybody else.
42:38A lot of people come out here and they go, oh, it was because of this, that and the other.
42:41You take full responsibility.
42:42Everything that I've done in my life, it's been my choice.
42:45And every time I've had to make a decision, like when I got told I had six months to live,
42:50the very next day I stopped drinking.
42:57What is, um...
42:58You, um, you turned to drugs?
43:01Yeah, I was a heroin addict, yeah.
43:03You got clean of that?
43:05Yeah, I locked myself away for two weeks in my room and did it myself.
43:08APPLAUSE
43:09And, here's the best thing, not trivialising this,
43:15has anybody ever told you you sound like Sean Connery?
43:18Yeah, some people have, yeah.
43:20Miss Moneypenny.
43:21Miss Moneypenny.
43:23LAUGHTER
43:23On, um, on a serious note, today is...
43:31I mean, I always...
43:32I'll tell you what I worry about.
43:33I worry about the fact that somebody who has been through so much...
43:36Yeah.
43:37..and has faced so many demons down, really...
43:39Yeah.
43:39..is putting faith...
43:41It's not, listen, that's great for us to do that,
43:43but what if nothing comes of this appeal?
43:47It just means that I haven't...
43:50It's just, like...
43:52I don't know how it makes me feel,
43:53cos obviously it hasn't happened yet,
43:55but if it doesn't happen,
43:56I'll just feel like...
43:58..I'm on my own again, basically.
44:01Um, been told about anything, is there...
44:04I mean, growing up,
44:05are there any family members that you're aware of?
44:07Your dad died, your mum and your...
44:09The only thing I've been told is that when my dad died,
44:12he had a brother.
44:13You know, I can't remember if he's a bit younger than my dad
44:16or a bit older than my dad, I don't know.
44:18Um, but he was supposed to be now in forces.
44:21Um, I think his name was Harry, or Harold.
44:24I did tell your team.
44:25Have you written, um...
44:26You've written a...
44:27Yeah, I've written something, yeah.
44:28Right, a sec, can you just come in a little bit for me?
44:30We'll do it on camera three.
44:32You don't need to worry about it being perfect, it's fine.
44:34I'll have to put my glasses on first, cos I can't see it.
44:36Well, listen, I can't say anything anyway,
44:37so that'd be absolutely great.
44:38Right.
44:39Um, I am desperately looking for someone
44:42who might be able to fill the family-shaped hole in my life.
44:45Since I've been born,
44:46I've never had a relative that I can rely on.
44:49Sadly, my father passed away when I was a baby
44:51and I didn't have a mother in my life.
44:53The loneliness I have felt has led me to a difficult life,
44:56but I have now turned a corner
44:58and I'm desperate to find a family member.
45:02Please, if there's anyone out there
45:03who recognises me or my story, get in touch.
45:07What was his name?
45:08Harry.
45:09He wrote to me.
45:14Here, read it.
45:19Nice and loud.
45:19John, I want you to know that even in your dark times,
45:24you have always had family,
45:26but unfortunately we didn't know about each other.
45:30Your father, John, was a wonderful man.
45:33He was my brother and we were very close.
45:36He was a family man and always wanted a son.
45:40He said he would have all the time in the world for his children,
45:43but sadly this wasn't the case.
45:47I am overwhelmed that you have managed to find me.
45:50I hope you...
45:52I hope that in the very near future
45:53we can meet and become a family
45:55like you've been searching for, Uncle Harry.
46:00I've done this a long time
46:01and I'm in severe danger of going.
46:03Look at me.
46:04He's here.
46:05Oh, my God.
46:35And this man only found out
46:41that he existed when we called you, didn't he?
46:43Take a seat.
46:44Come on, how about that, eh?
46:46Happy?
46:52Harry, Harry, Harry.
46:54I didn't know John existed.
46:55I was so shocked when I got the phone call from the show.
46:58I was really close to my brother.
46:59They were only us two brothers.
47:00He was so loved.
47:02And my brother always wanted a son.
47:03How are you doing?
47:04Terrible.
47:07Terrible because?
47:09I didn't even know anything about this.
47:12He had a hard time.
47:13What was your brother like?
47:14Brilliant.
47:17Always like a family.
47:20I mean, I didn't even know he had a son.
47:23My brother will be looking down on us so happy.
47:30I wish he was here.
47:31I miss him so much.
47:32There's only me and my son.
47:33There's been 11 funerals in my family.
47:35But, John, you're part of his family now.
47:38One of the things that I've said, John, before, we can't always do this.
47:50But I think what you've done and what you've been through is horrific.
47:53But I think the way you've turned it around is incredibly admirable.
47:57And there is no more deserving person than you.
47:59Mate, we don't just do it like that.
48:01We work with you.
48:03There will be questions and moments and times.
48:05But from the bottom of my heart, I'm delighted we can do this for you.
48:08Happy?
48:08I just want to thank the show for everything you've done for me.
48:11Thank you so much.
48:12Nice to meet you.
48:15And, um...
48:17You've got an uncle now.
48:18You've got a family.
48:19Go and enjoy yourselves, all right?
48:21Good to meet you.
48:25All right?
48:25Go on, get up.
48:26Down the bathroom.
48:27See you later.
48:27Give him a round of applause.
48:28Nice way to end our end for this morning.
