A rail car loaded with lumber broke loose and rolled into Scranton, Pennsylvania on Thursday evening.

Luckily, no one was injured and the wood stayed put, but the event did cause a disruption.

The car was on the Delaware-Lackawanna tracks in Archibald when, at around 5:30 pm, it became unhitched.

From there it travelled at a speed of about 50 miles per hour, entering and moving through Scranton until workers were able gain control of it.

911 was called immediately upon the realization that the car was a runaway.

Police quickly blocked off 12 Scranton intersections located along the cargo carrier’s path.

As it neared Olive Street, workers took advantage of an opportunity to slow it down enough to be stopped manually.

Railroad personnel switched the tracks so the car had to travel uphill.
