A 65-year-old retired school administrator named Larry Gambles recently won a $1,050,000 Illinois lottery jackpot using the same numbers he did when he won $50,000 nearly 10 years ago.
A man with the last name Gambles has had some impressive luck playing the lottery.
According to a news release, 65-year-old retired school administrator Larry Gambles from Matteson, Illinois, recently “won the lottery a second time with the same numbers.”
He won the Illinois Lottery's Lucky Day Lotto jackpot prize of $1,050,000 when all five numbers of his tickets matched with the June 7th drawing.
Gambles is quoted as telling the lottery officials, “Nine years ago, I won $50,000 playing the numbers from the jerseys of my high school basketball team. I’ve been playing the same numbers ever since. I can’t believe they paid off again!”
The release states that he “plans to share the windfall with family and friends.”
