It was a red day on Wall Street on Thursday,... as investors weighed a host of corporate earnings reports and energy prices went up.
The Dow Jones closed zero-point-three percent lower at 24,664,... pulled down by Intel and Procter & Gamble Corporation.
The S&P 500, also down more than half-a-percent at 2,693,... while the Nasdaq lost zero-point-8 percent 7,238.
With the Inter-Korean summit perking up the market,... the benchmark KOSPI closed higher on Thursday, up a quarter-of-a-percent at 2,485.
The secondary bourse KOSDAQ, however down over one-percent at 882, dragged down by pharmaceutical shares.
The local currency, too, ended at its highest in two weeks,... on optimism among traders ahead of next week's summit.
