The Washington Post reports Beto O'Rourke met with Barack Obama amid 2020 speculation.

Amid 2020 speculation, Beto O'Rourke recently met with former President Barack Obama in Washington, DC, reports the Washington Post.
"The meeting, which was held Nov. 16 at the former president's offices in Foggy Bottom, came as former Obama aides have encouraged the Democratic House member to run, seeing him as capable of the same kind of inspirational campaign that caught fire in the 2008 presidential election," the Post noted.
This news comes days after a report that O'Rourke has shifted from a no to a maybe in regard to the 2020 presidential run.  The Daily Beast reported that at a town hall in El Paso, he said that he and his wife would "think about what we can do next to contribute to the best of our ability to this community."  When the possibility was previously raised during a "60 Minutes" interview, O'Rourke had commented: "It's incredibly flattering that anyone would ask me the question or that that's even up for discussion. But, but since people have asked, the answer's no."  O'Rourke received a great deal of national attention in his race to unseat Senator Ted Cruz.  While his bid was unsuccessful, he far exceeded expectations.
