00:00 or how did you enjoy the first quarter play?
00:02 - It was good work.
00:03 You never know, there's gonna be a few games a year
00:05 that have potential rain or do rain.
00:08 So it was good work.
00:09 We were able to come get some individual in,
00:11 get some throws in the rain, which was good.
00:13 I thought we could be centered,
00:15 working that wet ball drill,
00:16 working throwing some movement into the rain,
00:21 which was good.
00:22 So thankful we got that working.
00:25 - For you, it seems like your production
00:27 goes up on play action.
00:29 Why would you say that's what you do?
00:32 - I don't know.
00:32 I mean, I think it's a big part of what we've done here.
00:35 And you want to compliment what you're doing in the run game
00:39 and take advantage of holes that are created.
00:41 So we try to do that and it's been successful.
00:46 - Do you feel that the run sets up the pass
00:48 or the throwing pass sets up the ball?
00:50 How do you know?
00:51 - Chicken or the egg.
00:52 It works together.
00:54 The more multiple you can be,
00:57 the more you can play off of each other.
01:00 It's gonna compliment the run sets.
01:01 - What's Chris Moore bringing to the receiver group?
01:04 - He's a veteran guy.
01:07 He's done a great job for us so far.
01:08 Coming in in the spring,
01:10 been in a similar system before,
01:13 so been able to get accustomed to that pretty quickly.
01:15 He understands what we're trying to accomplish
01:17 and how we're trying to accomplish it.
01:19 He brings some speed, some athleticism,
01:21 some juice to the outside,
01:23 which is definitely good to have.
01:24 - Reg points out that he never gets tired.
01:26 Do you notice something like that?
01:28 - Oh, definitely.
01:29 Some guys you notice after a couple of long routes
01:34 that they might not have the same juice,
01:36 but Chris, he's an energizer,
01:38 he just keeps going all day.
01:40 - The defense was able to rake a few more balls,
01:42 maybe, than you would like out in sessions.
01:45 What do you say to your guys
01:47 after seeing the film of those situations?
01:49 - Yeah, we just gotta go out and compete, obviously.
01:54 As a team, you like to see defense playing well
01:57 and having tight coverage,
01:58 but as an offense, we wanna be able to put those balls
02:01 in good spots and then have strong hands
02:03 to be able to come down with those.
02:05 So, step back and look at it as a team,
02:08 it's a good thing, but as an offense, as a competitor,
02:10 hey, we gotta go out, we gotta compete.
02:11 There's gonna be plays each game that are like that,
02:15 where it's tight coverage,
02:16 and we're trying to put the ball in there,
02:17 and the defender may have a hand in there,
02:19 and the more plays that we can make,
02:22 down with and more successful.
