00:00 >> How are you doing?
00:02 >> Doing great.
00:03 >> [INAUDIBLE]
00:13 >> It's been incredible.
00:19 As you guys know, Ran's a relationship builder.
00:22 It's kind of his superpower, I like to say.
00:24 But us being on the same page, if you're on the same page with the front office and
00:29 the coaching staff, you can really do a great job finding the right people and
00:33 right players to fit your team when everyone's looking for the same thing.
00:37 So that part's been really fun.
00:39 I enjoy being around Ran every day and Chad Brinker too.
00:41 Those between me, Ran, Chad, and
00:44 Anthony Robinson would probably are in and out of each other's office.
00:48 Probably 10, 12 times a day.
00:51 I mean, we're always talking, going back and forth.
00:54 But it's been a really, really fun partnership to build,
00:56 a relationship to start to grow with.
00:57 And it's been a blast.
01:00 >> How much time have you been involved in the draft process previously,
01:03 maybe at your other stops?
01:04 And how is that different this year?
01:06 And how excited are you about the things moving forward?
01:09 >> Obviously coming from Cincinnati, heavily,
01:10 heavily involved in the draft process.
01:12 That's how they've operated for a long time.
01:15 I think it's been a huge benefit to me, being involved in that process the way we
01:19 were, being in all those draft meetings in the draft process,
01:22 in the evaluation process.
01:24 That's an area that I feel that I've really grown over the years of being there.
01:28 And I think it's a huge help to me currently being involved in that.
01:32 So we have more people, obviously, in Tennessee than we did in Cincinnati.
01:37 And so I'll lean on those guys heavily as we get started.
01:40 But our coaching staff will be involved.
01:42 We're gonna have great conversations.
01:43 It's still gonna be a collaboration.
01:45 Because a lot of times coaches see things in a different light than scouts.
01:49 And it really allows you to make sure you are evaluating the whole picture and
01:53 selecting the right player.
01:54 And so you want the coach's input, you want the scouts input.
01:58 You want everyone to feel like their conversations, their opinions are being
02:02 heard and they're being discussed.
02:04 And then on top of that, you're listening too.
02:06 That's a big part of it.
02:07 So I'm really excited about how we're set up and
02:10 how it's gonna work in this draft process.
02:12 >> Right, so you've been back a couple years, you worked with Alex Van Pelt.
02:15 Just how would you describe him as a coach?
02:17 And what do you remember from that experience?
