00:03 Plans to seal the development of a former World War II prisoner of war camp turned industrial estate into 160 homes have been submitted.
00:11 Garner Holdings is seeking permission to type the final details of plans to build 160 homes on the Firs Work site in Spanker Lane,
00:18 Netherhege, three years after gaining outline approval.
00:22 A reserve matters application to seal the development of the site has now been submitted to Amber Valley Borough Council.
00:28 The council had granted permission for 160 homes on the site in June 2020 after years of toing and froing over the site,
00:35 including reducing the scheme from 175 homes, not including any development on the protected greenbelt and not including a planned village hall building.
00:45 A decision will be made by the borough council in the next few months.
00:49 To offset the impact of the 160 homes plan on local schools,
00:53 Derbyshire County Council has asked for nearly one and a half million pounds to pay for extra spaces at Swanwick Hall School and Hege Primary School.
