00:10 Nathan Mills of Chesterfield has been charged with sending by public communications network an offensive, indecent, obscene or menacing message.
00:18 He appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates Court where the case was adjourned to a future date.
00:25 Tributes have been paid to a former Derbyshire Times journalist who has died at the age of 89.
00:30 Glyn Williams who lived in Dromfield wrote the popular 'Walk with Williams' column, a farming and countryside page and covered court reporting during his 16 year career with the newspaper.
00:40 Before joining the Derbyshire Times he worked at the Star Office in Chesterfield where he transferred after working from the paper's headquarters in Sheffield.
00:48 Glyn's love of rambling led him to joining the Chesterfield and North East Derbyshire group of the Ramblers Association.
00:55 His wife and Sandra and he took part in a group project leading blind and partially sighted people on a monthly walk.
01:02 Later the Dromfield U3A provided Glyn with a chance to continue country walking until late into his 80s and helped him cope with the loss of Sandra, whom he had been married to for 56 years and who died in 2019.
01:15 A funeral service will take place at Chesterfield Crematorium on Friday 9th September at 12.50pm.
