00:00 Ah, the Elimination Chamber, the jungle gym of death.
00:04 It's one of WWE's most successful original match creations, skirting the right side of
00:09 Convoluted over the top and intimidating to create something that feels truly WWE.
00:14 The matches at the Chamber's house have a pretty good track record too, with huge
00:17 memorable moments strewn throughout its history.
00:20 Shawn Michaels' final world title win was a holy s***, has that guy just s*** himself
00:25 moment.
00:26 Bobby Lashley picking up the ECW title, loads of classics.
00:32 However every action does have an equal and opposite reaction, so for every great match
00:36 or fantastic spot on the Elimination Chamber, there will always be a big old Shawn Michaels
00:40 tight stinking dud or a brutal botch.
00:42 I wanted a list about people falling down and I always get what I want.
00:46 I'm Laurie hailing from partsFUNknown and these are the 10 Craziest Elimination Chamber
00:51 Botches.
00:52 10.
00:53 Kalisto gets stuck.
00:55 Elimination Chamber 2015
00:56 The top of an Elimination Chamber pod is prime real estate for a high flying wrestler.
01:01 It's like the Mayfair on a Monopoly board.
01:03 Although maybe the top of a ladder is the Mayfair so this can be Parkway.
01:07 Or wherever's the second highest on your regional variant board, mostly American viewership.
01:13 With high risk comes high reward, but also a much greater velocity at which to crash
01:18 and burn.
01:19 As Kalisto found out in the first ever tag team Elimination Chamber match in 2015, Kalisto's
01:23 huge dragon's partner Sin Cara's botch luck rubbed off in the pod.
01:27 As when he was scaling the New Day's pod for a cool spot where they dragged his feet
01:31 through the chains on the top to trap him, they actually just trapped Kalisto for realsies.
01:35 He then could not get himself free for a good few minutes, missing a spot with Sin Cara
01:40 where they were meant to hit stereo Swanton bombs off their pods and leaving his fellow
01:44 dragon to fly alone.
01:46 9.
01:47 Most of the men's tag team Elimination Chamber 2020
01:50 The second men's tag team Elimination Chamber match in history was definitely a better match
01:54 than its predecessor overall, but boy was it a sloppy affair.
01:58 There wasn't one great big snafu that defined this match, but more a comedy of errors that
02:02 led to lots of people falling down.
02:04 The best part of any list.
02:06 Gran Metalik tried his best to hit a springboard hurricanrana on Big E but just couldn't
02:09 get there.
02:10 Kofi Kingston and Jey Uso went for mirrored superkicks but just kind of got tied up and
02:14 fell down.
02:15 And John Morrison also went for a springboard and then just fell down.
02:19 If only this was where the Jackass Forever sponsorship had come in, it's the perfect
02:23 advert.
02:24 No shade though because there is loads going on in an Elimination Chamber match with just
02:27 6 people involved and doubling that total leaves you with a whole lot of moving parts.
02:32 At least 10 moving parts.
02:38 8.
02:39 Sarah Logan wipes out Natalya, Elimination Chamber 2020
02:42 Hey guys, do you want to see a dead body?
02:46 Well the Women's Chamber match in 2020 is most remembered for Shayna Baszler running
02:49 through everyone in the one good thing they ever did for her on the main roster.
02:52 Those absolute bloody idiots.
02:55 But before Baszler broke out of her pod and munched her way through the competition like
02:58 the Cookie Monster at Bakesale, a terrifying moment occurred between Sarah Logan and Natalya.
03:03 Logan was the third woman to enter the match joining Ruby Riott and Natalya and after some
03:07 brief offence Logan scaled a pod and leapt off to hit a high cross on Ruby and Natty.
03:12 All things considered this is a pretty safe spot 9 times out of 10.
03:16 However this was the 1 out of 10 because the brunt of Logan's body collided with Ruby
03:20 leaving her knees to collide with Natty's face.
03:24 Lights out.
03:25 Honestly it's a wonder Natalya even managed to finish the match after that because that
03:29 looked like a knockout blow.
03:31 They should call that the go to sleep and don't come back.
03:34 7.
03:35 Sasha Banks no-sells the Twisted Bliss, Elimination Chamber 2018
03:39 Going to the top of the pod has not worked out well for the folks on this list so far
03:42 so let's see if we can change that.
03:45 Can we bollocks?
03:46 Because yet another example of Elimination Chamber airtime going badly happened during
03:50 the first ever Women's Elimination Chamber match in 2018.
03:54 Alexa Bliss and Sasha Banks were two of the standout performers and everything built up
03:57 to what would have been the biggest spot of the match as Bliss was perched on top of a
04:00 pod.
04:01 She hit probably the biggest Twisted Bliss of her entire career in what surely would have
04:06 won her the match and earned her her ticket to WrestleMania except it didn't.
04:11 Because Sasha Banks took the full force of the move then she no-sold it, turned Bliss
04:15 over and locked in the Banks statement.
04:17 I reckon what was supposed to happen was sort of a seamless roll through as the Twisted
04:20 Bliss hit, essentially countering it into the Banks statement but here it just looked
04:24 like "Alexa use Twisted Bliss, it doesn't affect Banks type Pokemon".
04:28 It was a great idea but the execution resulted in the biggest move of Bliss' career to
04:31 that point essentially being no-sold.
04:34 6.
04:35 WWE Opens The Wrong Door - Survivor Series 2002
04:39 This certainly isn't the most famous mistake to come from the first ever Elimination Chamber
04:43 match, we will get there, it's a marathon not a sprint my friends.
04:46 The first Chamber match ended up being a much better match than you would expect when you
04:50 hear about all the trouble the competitors went through but when you watch it you just
04:54 don't know that's happening.
04:56 Shawn Michaels ended up being the final man to enter the match but this was not by design.
05:01 Chris Jericho later revealed that Kane's pod was accidentally opened early in the place
05:05 of Michaels.
05:06 You wouldn't know it from watching the match because the guys are serious pros but it meant
05:09 that all the work they had done to carefully plan out Michaels' spots had to go out the
05:13 window and a good chunk of the match had to be called on the fly.
05:16 Essentially it's a very frustrating day for Raw's finest made even worse by finding
05:20 out they would be bumping on Metal Great for half an hour.
05:22 I mean someone had to do it first before they could make it ever so slightly safer, but
05:27 not by much.
05:28 5.
05:29 Headbutt Taker falls out of the Chamber - No Way Out 2008
05:33 Sometimes things go wrong to such an extent that your suspension of disbelief just disbelieves
05:37 itself mid-match.
05:39 One of the competitors falling out of the cage certainly qualifies.
05:42 At No Way Out 2008 six Smackdown and ECW stars competed for a shot at Edge's World Heavyweight
05:48 title at WrestleMania.
05:50 During the match, Viscera managed to headbutt Taker so hard that he stumbled backwards,
05:54 he hit the cage door, and then the door opened and he fell out to the floor.
05:58 Much to the surprise of everyone.
06:00 "Oh, the door's open, what are we in here for again?"
06:05 Undertaker tumbled to the floor, doing his best to catch himself on anything around him,
06:08 but this was a nasty spill.
06:10 Thankfully Taker wasn't injured from the fall, but the same could not be said for Ranjin
06:14 Singh.
06:15 Just a few minutes later as Undertaker booted him through the door, he planted his knee
06:18 on the concrete, tearing his ACL and taking him off TV for several months.
06:22 There's a cheeky little bonus botch in there for you.
06:25 4.
06:26 Tess Eliminates Bob Holly December-Dismember 2006
06:31 The entire Extreme Elimination Chamber could find its way onto this list for being one
06:34 of the biggest disasters to ever grace a wrestling ring.
06:37 The booking appeared to be designed to piss off as many people as possible, it came at
06:41 the end of WWE's worst pay-per-view ever, and then there were moments like this.
06:46 Tess and Bob Holly, main event calibre stars if you ask me, were working as a sort of makeshift
06:51 team until Tess decided that no they weren't and tried to hit Bob Holly with a big boot.
06:55 Tess goes for the pin and the ref counted one, the ref counted two, the ref did not
06:59 count three, Bob Holly did not kick out.
07:02 They then just all look at each other before saying "okay now Bob, get out now".
07:06 What even went wrong here?
07:08 This match did not need a monumentally botched elimination to be terrible, but on this show
07:14 for some reason when it rains it pours.
07:17 3.
07:18 WWE Sets The Undertaker On Fire Elimination Chamber 2010
07:23 This one may not have happened inside the Elimination Chamber itself, but walking to
07:26 the ring is close enough when the botch is this big.
07:30 When the Undertaker's famous entrance theme hits you can always think to yourself as a
07:33 wrestling fan, I mean he's probably going to be about 5 minutes, I can go to the bathroom,
07:37 I can make a sandwich and oh god why is he running?
07:40 That is a real dick in a zipper moment if you ain't expecting it folks.
07:43 The botch has been edited out of the Network version of the match, but you can still see
07:46 fan footage of the Undertaker making his entrance like he always does, only to be completely
07:51 engulfed in flames, not once, not twice, but thrice.
07:55 Considering that then the Undertaker had to complete an entire Elimination Chamber match
07:58 with a charred chest where Chris Jericho was going to have to press said charred chest
08:02 to the mat, this is a legendary performance for the dead man.
08:06 2.
08:07 Rob Van Dam Crushes Triple H's Throat Survivor Series 2002
08:12 And now we've come back around to the first ever Elimination Chamber match.
08:15 Triple H may have turned a good portion of the internet against him throughout his career,
08:18 but no one can deny that the man is a tough son of a bitch who competes through injury
08:23 better than most can dream of.
08:24 Rob Van Dam's 5 star frog splash has been described as painful on the best of days.
08:29 Unfortunately for Triple H, this was the worst of days.
08:32 It was the blurst of times.
08:34 It blurst all of the blood vessels in his neck.
08:36 Rob Van Dam climbed to the top of the pod and in a very cramped tight space hit Triple
08:40 H with a frog splash.
08:41 The only problem was that RVD landed with his leg on Triple H's neck, essentially crushing
08:47 his throat with over 25 minutes left in Triple H's night.
08:50 And he'd already spat his water out by that point, there was nothing there to soothe the
08:54 pain.
08:55 This is honestly a heroic performance from Hunter, battling through to the end of the
08:58 match when breathing must have been his biggest opponent.
09:01 1.
09:02 The entire Intercontinental Chamber Match - Elimination Chamber 2015
09:07 There really isn't one specific place to start or stop with the madness that was the
09:10 Intercontinental Championship Elimination Chamber match from 2015.
09:14 This match managed to somehow be a bigger disaster than the Extreme Elimination Chamber
09:18 match.
09:19 It's only saving grace is that it was not at December to dismember.
09:23 Things go off the rails in a hurry here when Mark Henry's pod is rammed and he enters
09:27 the match before he was supposed to.
09:29 Henry is clearly quite unsure what to do and just stands there awkwardly before joining
09:34 the match and things never quite get back on track.
09:36 You can actually hear Dolph Ziggler loudly trying to coordinate spots with the entire
09:40 field while absolutely nothing is taking place and each man just stands there motionless
09:45 like this is their first ever indie match.
09:47 Then you've got the issue of Sheamus' pod not opening.
09:50 With the pod not opening, the referees and Sheamus yell at each other while they're
09:53 unable to get the door open before Sheamus kneels down and tries to make it seem like
09:56 he rigged the door to stay shut by jamming it with his cross.
10:00 In another match this thinking may be looked at as creative, but the last thing this match
10:04 needed was another thing going wrong.
10:07 And that is our list.
10:08 Are there any Elimination Chamber botches we missed?
10:10 What's the most expensive spot on your monopoly board?
10:13 Why not watch another video?
10:14 They're on screen now.
10:15 Or don't.
10:16 I don't care.
10:17 I'm not your dad.
10:18 Jam that jam.
10:19 [music]
