00:00 There had been some really bad weather in New Zealand, just constant rain.
00:03 And I saw two lambs running around everywhere frantically, quite desperate to obviously find a mother.
00:08 I tagged them with some non-toxic spray paint and I watched them.
00:11 By the end of the day it was very obvious she was not coming back and they were in trouble.
00:15 At that point I picked them up, they were very wet, desperate for a drink.
00:19 I warmed them up and as soon as they had that milk, they were like, "Well, you're my mother."
00:24 [Baby crying]
00:25 Come on you two, yes, don't feed milk.
00:28 The next morning they were looking better and happier.
00:30 Come on, come on you two.
00:32 They literally want to be with you all the time.
00:35 Help you guys.
00:36 [Baby crying]
00:39 Baby, here's another lamb.
00:40 [Baby crying]
00:42 Baby, here's another lamb.
00:43 It's a big instinct for them to stick close to their mother.
00:46 You do have to watch them really carefully for that first week.
00:49 Because they've had that kind of traumatic start and they haven't got such a good immune system,
00:53 they can just suddenly go downhill.
00:54 Zooming.
00:55 Zooming.
00:58 Oh, he's zooming.
00:59 Luckily with Heather and Isla, they just thrived after the first week.
01:04 They turned into very happy little campers, jumping around, bouncing around.
01:08 Before long, they were kind of the boss of me really.
01:14 Once they get that confidence and they know that they're somewhere safe and they trust you,
01:18 they get their feeding schedule memorized.
01:24 If you're late by even five minutes, they just go completely bananas.
01:28 And you've got to literally run into the house and shut the door before they just start trying to break in.
01:33 The lovely thing about lambs, it's impossible not to brighten your day when you're just watching them play around.
01:39 It's quite hard to even get the best moments on camera because they're so fast.
01:42 Let's go.
01:43 I try and get what I can, but 90% of it is actually missed.
01:45 What's going on here?
01:46 Hey, you can't knock that over.
01:48 The games that they do can be quite hilarious because they're always trying to beat each other at something.
01:52 What are you two doing?
01:53 So they're trying to jump up onto something high and then see who can stand up there the longest.
01:57 What are you two up to?
01:59 That bond is definitely lifelong.
02:02 Zooming!
02:03 Who's the fastest?
02:04 And they've just turned a year old.
02:06 They still play the same way.
02:07 Silly.
