00:00 Titans fans, welcome to a week eight Tic Tac 4-pack.
00:04 Let's take a look at Will Levis' four touchdown throws
00:08 in his debut.
00:09 We are gonna start with the first throw
00:11 to DeAndre Hopkins down the left sideline.
00:14 And what the Titans are gonna do is
00:16 they're gonna run a play action concept here
00:18 with just a simple vertical route from Hopkins over here
00:21 and then a deep crosser from Traylen Burks.
00:24 Pretty standard route concept for the Titans,
00:26 but when you have a player with the arm strength
00:29 and the ability, the arm ability of Will Levis,
00:32 these can turn into some pretty magical plays.
00:35 So just what an absolute dime.
00:36 And he leads Hopkins inside as well,
00:39 so he's able to work inside from the sideline.
00:41 You leave it too far outside,
00:43 there's nowhere for Hopkins to go.
00:44 You really start to appreciate how incredible
00:46 some of these throws are from Will Levis
00:49 when you see it from this angle.
00:51 Stands in the pocket, play action,
00:53 throws the shoulder and gets into it,
00:55 and that's what you get.
00:56 First career touchdown from Will Levis.
00:58 Let's take a look at the second touchdown here.
01:00 This is gonna be a zone beater concept
01:02 in the red zone from Tim Kelly.
01:04 By the way, love what Tim Kelly's doing.
01:06 He's gonna have Nick Westbrook-Akene come up here
01:09 and kind of be a deep in.
01:11 He's gonna have DeAndre Hopkins come inside here,
01:14 and what they're trying to do is
01:15 they're trying to target this linebacker here
01:17 and make him make a decision on who he wants to go after,
01:20 and there should be an open man.
01:22 We'll see it as the play develops here.
01:24 So we got him right here, NWI coming through here,
01:29 Hopkins coming here.
01:33 This guy goes out with Tajay Spears,
01:37 so this linebacker has to choose here.
01:39 Again, a zone beater concept.
01:41 You flood a zone, put two guys next to one man,
01:44 make 'em decide, all right?
01:46 And on this one, the defensive backs are up here,
01:49 but Hopkins just beats the linebacker
01:52 because, I mean, it's DeAndre Hopkins on a linebacker.
01:55 So not only do you set the route concept up
01:58 to win against the coverage,
01:59 but you also give yourself a DeAndre Hopkins matchup
02:02 against a linebacker in the red zone,
02:04 which look at the spin move from DeAndre Hopkins.
02:06 Seeing Hopkins play physical and win on the outside
02:09 like we did in the first play,
02:10 and then seeing DeAndre Hopkins catch the ball,
02:13 get upfield, make one of these weird moves
02:16 where he just avoids a defender and score,
02:18 I mean, seeing DeAndre Hopkins do that for the Titans
02:21 as opposed to what I've seen most of Hopkins' career
02:23 doing it against the Titans, a breath of fresh air.
02:26 This play just absolutely set the house on fire.
02:30 This is the double move from DeAndre Hopkins
02:33 in the third quarter, the 61-yard touchdown.
02:37 Absolutely excellent.
02:38 I wanna kinda time things up
02:39 because this is a combination of DeAndre Hopkins'
02:42 excellent route running.
02:44 The Falcons come out in a cover-two coverage.
02:46 So you're gonna have cover-two guy here,
02:48 cover-two guy here, middle, hole defender.
02:50 And what Hopkins is doing is he's coming up here
02:52 and selling a sit-down.
02:54 He's selling a sit-down route on a curl here, okay?
02:57 And this defender, because it's the Titans,
03:01 and teams are used to being able
03:03 to not respect the deep throw,
03:04 and to be able to drive real hard
03:06 on in-breaking and sit-down routes.
03:09 Well, Hopkins runs an excellent double move here.
03:12 And watch Levis right here.
03:13 We'll get to Hopkins, but watch Levis
03:15 with the shoulder fake here to sell it to the safety.
03:18 Shoulder fake, boom, and now he's beat.
03:21 This is it.
03:22 Hopkins is still behind, but look, he's beat.
03:26 He's beat right now.
03:27 And Levis sees it and absolutely lets one rip.
03:32 Woo, and Hopkins can still run by him.
03:38 That's a hat trick.
03:39 I wanna kinda time this up here
03:41 so you can see exactly what Levis is doing
03:43 and what Hopkins is doing.
03:44 So again, let's take a look.
03:46 Great protection as well.
03:47 The Falcons drop into a deep zone.
03:49 They're in an eight-man zone with only three rushing.
03:52 So good job by the Titans offensive line,
03:54 even though that's the case.
03:55 We still have a one-on-one here, a one-on-one here.
03:58 Nicholas Petitfer and Andre Dillard,
03:59 tackle position's been a struggle for the Titans,
04:02 but they're able to get the job done.
04:03 This is drop-back passing that Mike Vrabel
04:05 was so worried about all the time for the Titans.
04:07 But watch the shoulder fake combined
04:09 with the double move from DeAndre Hopkins here.
04:12 That's all it takes.
04:13 A little skip step and a dart down the field.
04:17 Will Levis had three of the top 10
04:21 furthest touchdown passes per air yards
04:25 in the NFL yesterday.
04:27 Three out of the top 10 for the whole season just yesterday.
04:31 He was under pressure 40% of his drop-backs,
04:36 and he still absolutely delivered a historic performance,
04:40 tying the NFL record for most touchdown throws
04:42 by a rookie in his debut.
04:44 And this was the fourth one that tied the record
04:46 and it may be the most impressive throw of them all.
04:50 The Titans are gonna run a concept here
04:52 where they fake the flag route, the corner route,
04:56 with NWI.
04:57 This is just a sit-down route on the outside,
05:00 and they're gonna roll Will Levis out this way
05:04 to kind of fake kind of a sprint out play,
05:06 a quick high-low, half-field read play for Levis,
05:10 which they had been running.
05:12 And what they do is they counter it.
05:14 We're in the fourth quarter.
05:15 The Falcons have seen plays like this.
05:17 Tim Kelly, man.
05:19 Tim Kelly doing work, putting the rookie
05:21 in a great situation.
05:22 Now watch, we see NWI.
05:25 This is cover three right here.
05:27 NWI is faking the seven route, okay?
05:30 What he's gonna do is he's gonna go
05:32 and then he's gonna bend it back across.
05:34 Some people call it like a clown post
05:37 or there are different names for it out there
05:39 depending on who you are,
05:40 but selling this route right here
05:42 and then flipping it across, there is no one over here.
05:46 There's no one over here, all right?
05:48 And Levis, back to Levis.
05:51 Rolls out right.
05:54 Offensive line gets beat.
05:56 Pressure bearing down on him.
05:57 He is rolling to the right, resetting,
06:01 and then watch how far left he delivers this ball
06:05 off his back foot while under pressure.
06:08 I don't know what else to say, guys.
06:10 It's only one game, but this is magical.
06:13 This is magical.
06:14 I mean, my God.
06:19 My God.
06:21 To lay that out for NWI right there
06:24 in the white shoes honor right there, celebration.
06:27 I mean, from this angle, look at it.
06:30 I mean, look at, I mean,
06:32 throwing this from beyond the right hash
06:36 with pressure off your back foot, falling away.
06:40 From 44 yards out.
06:43 I mean, that's like a 50-yard rope across the field.
06:48 Absolutely incredible.
06:51 The Will Levis era has begun for the Tennessee Titans.
