00:17 We have made many varieties of bitter gourd in our channel
00:21 Today we will make another variety of bitter gourd

00:37 We have taken 500 gms of bitter gourd
00:42 Now we will cut it into small pieces
00:45 Cut both the ends
00:48 Cut the seeds of the bitter gourd
01:02 If the seeds are big then we will cut them
01:07 Cut the bitter gourd into small pieces
01:28 Now we will add 1 tbsp of salt and mix it
01:45 After adding salt, we will leave it for 1 hour
01:57 After 1 hour, we will remove the lid
02:01 Now the water has separated
02:05 We will add water and wash it 2-3 times
02:12 We have washed it 2-3 times
02:16 We have squeezed all the water
02:21 We have turned on the gas
02:24 We will add 3 tbsp of oil in the pan
02:33 The oil is hot
02:35 Now we will add 2 finely chopped onions
02:41 We will fry the onions for 5 minutes
02:45 We have used groundnut oil
02:53 You can also use mustard oil
02:56 It is more tasty in mustard oil
02:59 And it is more tasty in a pan made of clay pot
03:02 I have learnt this recipe from my office friend Suman Bhandari
03:06 She makes a very good bitter gourd curry
03:10 She always makes it in a clay pot and mustard oil
03:14 Now we will add the bitter gourd pieces
03:20 We have squeezed all the water
03:26 We will mix it
03:35 We will cover it and fry it in low flame
03:40 We have fried the bitter gourd for 5 minutes in low flame
03:44 We will remove the lid
03:47 Now we will add some spices
03:50 We will add 1/2 tsp of turmeric
03:54 Salt as per taste
03:57 1 tsp of red chilli powder
04:00 1 tsp of coriander powder
04:04 1 tsp of sugar
04:06 This is optional
04:09 You can skip it if you don't like sweet
04:12 Mix it
04:15 We will cover it and fry it in low flame for 5 minutes
04:25 So that it will be fried well with other spices
04:33 It has been 5 minutes
04:35 We will remove the lid
04:38 Bitter gourd is fried well with spices
04:41 Our bitter gourd curry is ready
04:44 We will turn off the flame and serve it in a bowl
04:47 Our simple dry bitter gourd curry is ready
04:51 It is very tasty with roti and parathas
