00:00 Even though it's an art and heritage, there must be a subject matter.

00:07 What story are you telling?

00:09 How impactful was their message which was delivered through their artwork?

00:14 Then we look at how elements that you have used.

00:17 Element in such a way that what shape you use, what colour you use, what texture you

00:22 use and then how you compose the composition with all the elements you are supposed to

00:27 compose the composition.

00:28 I like to see creativity coming out through the art, not just like you know, taking it

00:34 literally but interpretive.

00:36 And of course, not to forget the technical skill.

00:39 So how good you use the materials and how well the material has been used and lastly,

00:46 whether you are conveying the message or not.

00:49 So these are the criteria that we are looking for.

00:52 Yes, there were some very interesting winners.

00:57 Very nice in the way they have captured the mood of that time, the issue of heritage,

01:05 conservation, natural heritage as well.

01:08 It was quite well done, I would say.

01:11 When we come to the, you know, selecting the work, the work must speak to us.

01:16 So when we shortlist the works and that is the time that we are looking for something

01:21 that is actually, you know, go along with the theme or not because it is to do with

01:27 the heritage, art and heritage.

01:30 So for the works that who really work on this, then of course it stood out.

01:35 Immediately I must thank the efforts of USA Heritage.

01:38 I mean this is so good of them to bring together a platform where young talents can actually

01:47 get an opportunity to be seen, to promote their works, to get recognition more importantly.

01:55 To me I believe that history must be shared and must be preserved, you know.
