00:00 fight at the beginning of the week and they fought.
00:02 They didn't give in, took a bunch of punches, gave some.
00:06 Unfortunately, there at the end, those add up and they made a play.
00:13 >> Despite the, and the team seems to play better here.
00:19 What can you say about that?
00:21 >> They didn't play well enough to win.
00:25 They compete and I'm proud to coach them.
00:31 When they compete like that, some good football in there.
00:37 I'm gonna try to find it, eliminate the stuff to get your beat,
00:41 which is certainly a missed opportunity.
00:44 He's given up match plays.
00:45 Letting the quarterback get hit and fumble and have a punch block.
00:48 But also a lot of really good stuff in there as well.
00:52 >> Mike, what do you know about Derek and
00:54 what do you say about his game prior to getting hurt?
00:56 >> That, we executed the ability to run football there most of the time,
01:02 most of the day.
01:03 Derek ran hard, just wanted to watch.
01:09 Won't know much other than he wasn't able to return.
01:12 >> [LAUGH] >> I guess they were playing offense,
01:16 had some good moments, but had a long stretch without,
01:19 kind of get some drops together.
01:21 >> So did they.
01:22 >> Yeah. >> So did they.
01:24 Were you able to see in the moment what happened on that last next play to Pierce?
01:27 Was that just a one on one matchup?
01:29 >> Yeah, it is.
01:31 We got behind us and we both know the ball and made a play.
01:35 >> You didn't seem enthusiastic about the penalty that set that up?
01:39 >> Well, I thought that was a little quick.
01:40 I mean, I don't know, it's two guys, at least on the sidelines,
01:45 obviously, who would be enthusiastic about that?
01:49 Asked if it was a two step process, saw me leave in contact.
01:53 I mean, 90 minutes into the game, 80 minutes into the games.
01:56 Good time to call the first legal contact in the game.
02:02 >> You look at that as compared to,
02:04 obviously it wasn't a legal contact with Hoffman and Anzal.
02:06 But is it just, are you getting frustrated with the lack of consistency?
02:11 >> I think Hoff's gotta do a little bit more on the line.
02:13 I think just, again, what we're coaching there, I can't tell you,
02:18 is trying to come back and create that contact and
02:21 get two arms on the other side of the guy.
02:23 Cuz if not, then I think you make it by judgment.
02:28 If you're able to come back, create contact, get two arms across the guy,
02:32 then that pretty much eliminates most of the doubt.
