00:25 this in-season tournament knockout round matchup between the Celtics and Pacers, which is going

00:31 to kick off the knockout rounds, the quarterfinals of the in-season tournament now.

00:37 Beginning on home courts, it's going to begin in Indiana for the Celtics, given the Pacers'

00:42 4-0 record in group play.

00:45 Celtics squeezed in, we talked about that on Tuesday after they beat the Bulls.

00:49 And this is an interesting matchup.

00:51 I think they got fortunate in not seeing New York, which is a possibility.

00:54 It's a tough team, especially on the road.

00:57 And then Milwaukee, I know the Celtics beat up on them last time, but it can be tricky

01:01 playing a team that soon after, especially the team that lost and made some adjustments.

01:05 Though they've really struggled to play.

01:07 Yeah, I was going to say.

01:08 But you never know.

01:09 So this lines up decently for the Celtics.

01:11 Of course they beat the Pacers by 50 last time they played them.

01:14 No Haliburton, though, and he's been one of the most valuable players in the league by

01:18 far.

01:19 He should actually be in this MVP conversation early as it begins here.

01:23 First dynamic, moving the ball everywhere, hitting shots from everywhere.

01:27 They stink defensively.

01:29 There's no doubt about it.

01:30 They have no one with a prayer of guarding the jerseys.

01:35 I mean, did you watch this last game?

01:37 They're giving up.

01:38 They're probably going to be the best offense in NBA history and the worst defense in NBA

01:45 If you look at the numbers, you're not that far off.

01:49 140, or close to it, against the Bulls.

01:51 I mean, the Heat.

01:52 Is there more concern going into this game about ending up in a shootout with a team

01:56 Or do you look at it and say, Celtics going to score with ease and just pull it through

02:01 I'm leaning towards the latter just because of what we saw Friday night, what we saw the

02:06 last in-season tournament game.

02:07 I just feel like these guys are really into this, you know?

02:09 And I'm not saying that as in like, oh, they're not always into every single matchup, but

02:14 I do think that there's a lot more...

02:15 There's a little more weight with this game.

02:16 And I think that they do want to go out there and play the right way and be on the right

02:22 side of maybe a blowout win.

02:25 But at the same time, the Indiana Pacers, they look different.

02:28 You know what I mean?

02:29 I don't know what they will look like against the Celtics.

02:32 Again, the way they defend, or you just mentioned the way they defend, or they defended the

02:36 Jays, turned into the biggest blowout win I've ever covered in my career as a journalist.

02:42 It was shocking.

02:43 Yeah, it was.

02:44 I couldn't believe how quickly it happened.

02:47 And all of a sudden, the Celtics had 150 points.

02:49 That was incredible.

02:50 I don't think the same thing happens, but given what we saw Friday night and what this

02:55 team looks like in the second half, I think they're going to play the right way.

02:59 And I think they build enough of that...

03:01 You know, they're going to build that cushion where you're not going to have an inspired

03:06 Pacers team like you'll see in that first quarter.

04:02 Are guys going to be playing 40 minutes?

04:03 Are guys going to be playing out the entire game if you go down big?

04:06 I think so.

04:08 I think if it's close throughout, you're going into that fourth quarter, that's going

04:11 to be their approach.

04:12 And that's a great way to do it if you're the Indiana Pacers or if you're the Boston

04:15 Celtics.

04:16 Either way.

04:17 Obviously, the Celtics are a team that everyone's projected to make it to the NBA Finals.

04:21 But if you're the Indiana Pacers, man, how big of a confidence booster is it to eliminate

04:27 the Boston Celtics in this tournament?

04:29 It is relevant at this point because, again, this is the knockout round.

04:32 So I think the closer we get to the championship, the hype goes up.

04:37 So I do think that that's what the Pacers are going to go, that's going to be their

04:42 approach.

04:43 The biggest wild card to me is easily, easily Buddy Heels.

04:49 Buddy lately has been having these games where it's like he's dropping 28 or he's dropping

04:55 7.

04:56 And I'm not exaggerating.

04:57 If he gets hot from beyond the arc, that will carry over for four quarters.

05:00 It's going to make a humongous difference for the Indiana Pacers.

05:03 But if you get the 2 for 9 or 3 for 11 Buddy Heels, the Celtics are in really good shape.

05:10 I hope they're hypnotized by the court.

05:12 I hope that they think back to Tuesday and say, "Uh oh, we're going to turn to that team

05:16 again."

05:17 Because as we talked about in our last video, Friday was not that Celtics team.

05:20 So hopefully there's no letdown.

05:22 You have to think in a stage like this, in a moment like this, there won't be.

05:25 Especially after two days off.

05:27 Seems like Chris "Dash" Porzingis could be back for this one as well.

05:29 Joe didn't commit to that but didn't rule it out pregame on Friday.

05:33 He's back on the court, doing the bike, and expected to be back around a week after the

05:38 injury, which is Monday.

05:39 So I'm assuming he'll probably be a game time decision.

05:42 Probably will travel for this game.

05:45 But it's a big one.

05:46 Winner goes to Vegas.

05:47 Winner plays the winner of Bucks-Knicks, which should be a good game as well.

05:51 I actually like the Knicks in that other game.
