Ingredients

Bajra (soaked overnight) - ½ cup
Ghee - 1tbsp
Cloves - 2
Black Peppercorns - 4
Cinnamon Stick - 1-inch
Mustard Seeds - ½ tsp
Cumin Seeds - ½ tsp
Green Chillies (chopped) - 2
Ginger-Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
Curry Leaves - 8-10
Onion (chopped) - 1
Carrot (chopped) - 3tbsp
French Beans (chopped) - ¼ cup
Tomato (chopped) - 2 tbsp
Turmeric Powder - ¼ tsp
Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
Salt (as per taste)
Coriander Leaves - 2 tbsp
Moong Dal (soaked) - ¼ cup
Water - 3 Cups
Coriander Leaves (for garnish)
Ghee (Serving)

00:00 Today we are going to make Winter Special One Pot Meal, which is Bajra Kichdi.
00:04 I am Chef Nikki, welcome to Swaad Anusaar.
00:08 Let's start.
00:09 I had soaked half a cup of Bajra for 8-10 hours.
00:17 Bajra is a little hard, so we will churn it in the mixer.
00:23 First, we will take 1 spoon of ghee in the cooker.
00:36 2 cloves, 4 black pepper, 1 cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon mustard, 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds.
00:44 Let the mustard and cumin seeds crackle.
00:48 2 finely chopped green chillies, 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste, 8-10 curry leaves.
00:54 We will sauté all the ingredients.
00:57 Now we will add 1 finely chopped onion, 3 tablespoons finely chopped carrot, 1/4 cup finely chopped beans, 2 tablespoons tomato.
01:10 We will sauté the vegetables with the spices for a while.
01:14 We will add 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon red chilli powder, salt to taste, and some finely chopped coriander.
01:30 I had soaked 1/4 cup moong dal for 2 hours.
01:39 We will mix this with the vegetables.
01:43 Now we will add the ground Bajra to the vegetables.
01:45 We will sauté all the ingredients for 1-2 minutes.
01:50 We will add 3 cups of water.
02:09 After 1 boil, we will close the pressure cooker and cook for 2 whistles.
02:14 After this, we will slow down the flame and cook for 5 minutes.
02:38 Our Khichdi is ready.
02:40 We will serve the Khichdi hot.
02:43 Khichdi is not tasty without ghee, so we will add some ghee on top.
