00:00 >> Just the resiliency and the comeback and right to the end.
00:03 >> Yeah, we did a lot of things that were gonna cost us, obviously.
00:09 The turnover, the mistakes, but we did more positive things late.
00:16 Defense kept giving us a chance, we got some stops.
00:19 And then the offense needed to come through, they came through.
00:22 It doesn't have to be that hard, but
00:27 I got a part of the character of this football team.
00:32 Competing and then having to go in a different direction real quick.
00:36 And then coming back, getting stops late.
00:38 [BLANK_AUDIO]
00:41 Being able to move the football late in the game, score.
00:46 Which is really proud of these guys.
00:48 >> What can you say about that red zone defense?
00:50 You guys were tops in the league coming in two for five and
00:52 missed the top off.
00:53 >> He said the whole thing was about getting the drive stopped.
00:56 And he said that they're probably gonna get it down there.
00:59 That's just what the nature of this offense is.
01:03 We've done so well down there.
01:07 The sudden change, unfortunately, that I explained to them that, hey,
01:12 even if they drive it down there, just pretend that it's sudden change.
01:16 And that you guys were the ones that were responsible for the sudden change.
01:19 You have that type of mentality that, hey, we're down here and we gotta stop.
01:24 And guys were excited.
01:27 That was the difference in the football game,
01:29 being able to force them to kick the openers.
01:31 >> Ty, what did you see from the offense after going down?
01:37 >> Well, we had a tough time running the football.
01:39 We had too many mistakes.
01:40 But we also were able to protect the quarterback enough to throw it
01:47 late in the game.
01:48 And that was key.
01:52 But Taj helped us out, Chick helped us out.
01:54 Hop came up big.
01:56 Nick came up big down there and continues to do that.
02:00 >> Now it's a whole team effort, but how big for
02:02 the young guys to be a part of something like this and win like this?
02:05 >> I just realized that it's never over.
02:08 And being able to keep our timeouts, being able to score,
02:15 get the two point conversion, and be able to have a chance to win it in regulation.
02:19 >> I know, Mike, you've had to deal with some tough weeks.
02:21 I mean, how cool is it to hear the music blaring,
02:23 guys celebrating in there behind you?
02:25 >> It's all the credit to the players.
02:27 We try to give them our best plan.
02:28 And sometimes it needs to be tweaked as we go along.
02:33 And sometimes it doesn't.
02:34 And they stuck to it, they believed it.
02:37 And all the credit goes to the players.
02:40 >> Mike, what about the resilience you guys showed?
02:44 I mean, going down 14.
02:46 How big was Will in that moment?
02:47 >> Yeah, I think they all were.
02:48 And being able to answer back.
02:50 And again, kind of just the disbelief,
02:55 the excitement of getting the drive stopped on third down.
03:00 Celebrating it in one minute, mistakes.
03:03 And just lining back up and keep playing and having a lot of time.
03:08 And I think it just says a lot about this football team and our growth.
03:12 And it's not gonna be easy, especially on the road against a good team on Monday
03:17 night, but you know, probably the way that they compete and they fight.
03:21 And we just gotta eliminate some of the mistakes that are gonna be too costly
03:26 most of the time.
03:27 >> Mike, is this what makes coaching fun?
03:29 Nobody gave you guys a chance to come down here, you play, you win, you celebrate.
03:33 >> Yeah, I mean, I think just coaching, watching players improve and
03:36 watching players be happy and share in success is what coaching is about.
03:42 It's about getting players to develop and improve and inspire them to go out and
03:48 get better each week and compete against a really good football team.
03:52 And there's a lot of guys out there that people are real familiar with.
03:56 That's the facts of it.
03:58 But they'll fight, they'll compete, and that's why I love them.
