00:00 I rescued him. I was coming out the Dollar General. I saw the people just
00:04 throwing him out of the car and drove off. So I was just standing there like, "What is
00:07 going on?" And then he was chasing the car, running behind the car, trying to catch up to them.
00:12 I was like, "Wait, hold on." So I said, "No, I'm gonna go get him." He was hesitant to come
00:17 with me at first. Then I got him and I brought him home. He looked like he was
00:21 well taken care of. His coat was shiny, his nails was trimmed. I guess they didn't
00:24 want him anymore. We took him in to the vet to have him checked and there was no
00:28 microchip. We posted him all over social media but nobody reached back out.
00:33 The first few days he just slept. I mean, for two days he just curled up in the
00:38 floor on a rug in our bedroom and slept. He was very nervous. He would panic if we
00:44 stepped away at all and I guess maybe he assumed he was getting left again.
00:48 He's still a very nervous dog. He'll like hold on to his pillows and nurse and do
00:54 like the little cat motion with his paws. He still has triggers. Certain people, if
00:59 he sees a certain image, he'll start barking and we try to avoid a certain
01:04 person altogether. He's like a teddy bear, a very like anxious teddy bear. It took a
01:10 good week for him to allow us to put a harness on him and be able to walk him
01:15 outside and just kind of treat him like a dog. I think the things that made it a
01:19 little bit easier is just we had other dogs in the house so he was more
01:23 comfortable with those other dogs. I think they gave them some sort of
01:27 confidence, allowed him to be more comfortable. I mean, he is great. I don't
01:31 know how to say it. He's just loving. He loves our kids. He loves the dogs. He has got a
01:37 crazy personality. He will snatch your shoe and take off running and then just
01:41 chase him all over the house. He's a whole different dog now. I was gonna say
01:45 person but he is just a completely different dog. He's a snuggle bug. If he
01:50 could get in your skin, he would get in it. Big floppy ears that you can just rub.
01:55 It's very therapeutic. He wants to be where you are so if you're doing chores,
02:00 he's there with you. If you're loading the dishwasher, he's licking the dishes.
02:03 He just loves to lay on me. I can't go anywhere or sit anywhere. He's coming right in my
02:08 lap every time. I could not imagine getting up in the morning. He's not there
02:12 just snoring in my face. I don't know what happened in his past life but he's
02:17 loved now.
