00:00 Happy Friday to all of us, I'm Benison Estareja.
00:04 The rain continues in some parts of Southern Luzon and Eastern Visayas.
00:09 It still follows the shear line where the cold Northeast Monsoon and the hot Easter Leaves are found.
00:16 The Northeast Monsoon or EMIHAN is still strong and affects the remaining part of Luzon.
00:21 And it gradually brings a decrease in temperature especially in the early morning.
00:27 It also brings hot weather in some parts of Visayas and in the big part of Mindanao where there are also some dry rains.
00:34 We still don't see any typhoons or low pressure areas where the Philippine Area of Responsibility may enter in the next 3 days.
00:43 The most rainy season is still expected here in the Bicol Region and Quezon.
00:48 If here in Luzon, it still affects the shear line or the heat and cold winds.
00:54 Be careful of possible floods and landslides if the heavy rains continue.
00:58 For our fellowmen here in Cagayan Valley, Aurora, Calinga and Apayaw,
01:04 it's still possible for a storm to come out of the house today due to the effect of the Northeast Monsoon or EMIHAN.
01:10 In nature, we have light and moderate rains.
01:13 While here in the remaining part of Luzon, it's still possible for a storm to come out of the house today.
01:17 For the areas with cloudy skies, it's generally expected for a storm to come out of the house due to the Northeast Monsoon.
01:24 It's more likely for a storm to come out of the house due to the EMIHAN.
01:27 For the nearby towns in Quezon, like Rizal and Laguna, and other provinces in the Cordillera Region,
01:34 it's also possible for a storm to come out of the house.
01:37 In terms of temperature, it's already going down in Metro Manila, especially in the early morning.
01:41 It's possible for the minimum temperature to reach 22 degrees Celsius.
01:46 While in Baguio, it's possible for the minimum temperature to reach 13 degrees Celsius.
01:49 It's also possible for the minimum temperature to reach 13 degrees Celsius.
01:51 It's also possible for the minimum temperature to reach 13 degrees Celsius.
01:55 For our fellowmen in Visayas, the most likely area for a storm to come out of the house is the eastern Visayas.
02:02 In the eastern Visayas, it's expected for a strong storm and thunderstorms to come out of the house.
02:06 It's also possible for a storm to come out of the house.
02:09 We will be issuing advisories and heavy rainfall warnings.
02:15 In the northern part of Visayas, there are already heavy rains as early as this morning here in Panay Island.
02:20 It's the effect of the Northeast Monsoon or the heavy rain that you can expect.
02:25 But for the rest of Visayas, the central portion, the Negros Provinces,
02:30 you can expect the part that is cloudy to cloudy skies.
02:33 There are also high chances of heavy rains, especially in the northern Negros and northern Cebu.
02:38 By the afternoon, the chances of heavy rains are low in the southern portion of central Visayas.
02:44 For our fellowmen in Mindanao, the weather conditions are almost the same as yesterday.
02:48 Parts of the region are cloudy and sometimes the sky is sunny.
02:51 There are only heavy rains here in Davao Region and parts of Soxargene in the morning.
02:56 Then there are localized thunderstorms, especially in the Caraga Region and Davao Region
03:01 from the afternoon to the evening.
03:03 When it comes to temperature, expect it to be between 26 to 30 degrees Celsius in Metro Cebu.
03:10 While it's hot here in the southern portion of Mindanao, please take note that it's 33 degrees Celsius in Davao
03:16 and 35 degrees Celsius in Zamboanga City.
03:19 So stay hydrated and bring an umbrella to avoid the heat.
03:23 Because of the low Northeast Monsoon or the strong winds here in Visayas,
03:30 expect the gale warning or the high waves here in the northern and eastern coast of Northern Samar,
03:37 the eastern coast of Eastern Samar, and the northern and eastern coast of Catanduanes.
03:41 The waves there are up to 4.5 meters high.
03:44 It's dangerous for small sea vehicles.
03:47 Imagine that the waves are up to one and a half times the size of a house.
03:52 But take note of the nearby towns of Luzon and Visayas.
03:56 It will be possible to travel up to four metros here in the towns of Quezon, Oriental Mindoro and Romblon.
04:05 While in Ilocos Region, it's still possible to travel up to three and a half meters because of the continuation of the Northeast Monsoon until the weekend.
04:12 In the coming days, expect the Northeast Monsoon or the strong winds in a large portion of Luzon.
04:19 So our shear line here in Bicol Region, possibly will go down here in Visayas.
04:23 So it means that the Bicol Region will improve the weather on Sundays and Mondays.
04:30 Here in Luzon, in general, it's a part of the cloudy skies of Iiral, with a weak rainfall if it's on the eastern side, facing the Pacific Ocean.
04:38 And there's a slight rainfall for the rest of Luzon.
04:41 So if it's here in Metro Manila, the next three days, it's a part of the cloudy skies and sometimes, the chance of rain will be low.
04:49 Before here in Baguio City, it will be a sunny morning, ideal for our journey, and the chance of rain will be low.
04:56 Here in Legazpi City in particular, in the southern portion of Bicol, it will still be rainy tomorrow.
05:00 The weather will improve on Sundays and will continue until Monday.
05:04 For our fellowmen in Visayas, as we mentioned earlier, it will be rainy in the eastern portion and sometimes, it will be strong over the weekend.
05:13 We need to bring our local disaster risk reduction and management offices if there are flood risks and landslides.
05:23 Here in Visayas, the central portion like Metro Cebu, it's a part of the cloudy skies of Iiral until the middle of January.
05:31 While here in Panay Island, it will still be rainy.
05:34 Capiz and Aklan, which are the other boracay, the chance of rain is high.
05:40 While in Iloilo City, it will be rainy on the most of the days, for the next three days.
05:47 Lastly, for our fellowmen in Mindanao, the shearline will be low on Sundays and Mondays.
05:53 So, it means that on Sundays, there will be rain in the Caraga and Davao regions, and possibly on Mondays,
06:01 there will be rain in the northern Mindanao region.
06:05 So, be careful of flood and landslides and bring your umbrella.
06:10 But by tomorrow, the sky will be cloudy in the majority of Mindanao.
06:15 The stake note is that it will still be hot, especially on the western sides,
06:18 like Cotabato City, General Santos City, and Zamboanga City.
06:21 The maximum temperature is possible of 34 to 35 degrees Celsius.
06:26 The sun will still rise at 6.24 in the morning and set at 5.44 in the afternoon.
06:33 That's all the latest from the Weather Forecasting Center of Pagasa.
06:36 I'm Benison Estareja, wishing you a good time, hoping for a good solution.
