00:00 Hi, Namaste. I am Garima & I am sure you are wondering that why am I sitting here & talking.
00:17 Yes, that's because today we are going to make a very unique dish which is watermelon feta salad.
00:24 And we will serve it in watermelon basket & to make that I had to sit here.
00:30 Because that level you have to sit & cut it very easily.
00:35 So, pay attention come on.
00:37 First of all we will make a watermelon basket.
00:41 For that we will cut a handle & then we will scoop out the flesh inside.
00:49 So, for that let me show you first.
00:54 We have to make sure that we cut a line because watermelon will be half.
01:00 And we will cut this half deep but we will not cut it till the end.
01:07 So, try and see if you can get a nice deep knife which is little sharper also.
01:12 We have to do it slowly & slowly.
01:15 We have to round it a little bit till the part we have cut.
01:21 It takes little bit of hard work to make a nice thing or a decorative thing.

01:28 So, here I will try to remove some watermelon that is now in half parts.

02:28 So, now our basket is ready. Now we will make its dressing.

02:37 These olives are mostly in brine, so we are not needing more salt for this.

02:52 This can be holy basil or the normal basil which is available for salad.

03:07 This feta cheese is specially for salad which is crumbled. So, we need to crumble it.
03:13 So, whenever you make this salad, make sure you use feta cheese.
03:21 If you use any other cheese, it will taste different and texture will be different. So, you won't enjoy it.
03:28 So, now we will take 1/4th part of watermelon of feta cheese.

03:37 Along with this we will add salad leaves.
03:40 Now salad leaves are normally, usually in this salad we use arugula leaves.
03:47 The spiky leaves are very spicy like radish.
03:53 But, in India we get very less arugula leaves.
03:58 So, as a, instead of an option, we are using as an optional is the Chinese cabbage or the lettuce that you call.
04:07 And that is going to give a lot of crunch.
04:11 And if you can see, I have not added salt in this for two basic reasons.
04:16 One, the olives that we have used already have salt.
04:20 We don't have to add salt with watermelon.
04:23 Feta cheese is very salty by itself.
04:27 So, that much saltiness should be enough for this salad.
04:31 And this dish will be the pride of the party.
04:33 Give it the center stage.
04:36 That means, whatever dishes you will make on its side, keep that.
04:40 But, the main dish of the salad.
04:43 We never thought that salad can be the main dish.
04:47 Now, this is the basket which has watermelon feta salad.
04:52 Looks so good and I can say that it tastes also that amazing.
04:56 So, serve it straight and relish it.

05:11 It is a simple sweet dish, the name is very good and the taste is also good.
05:16 First of all, we will take a mixer.
05:18 We have cut the watermelon and kept it.
05:22 It has seeds, seeds of watermelon are very healthy.
05:27 So, we will use the watermelon along with the seeds.
05:30 Right into the mixer.
05:33 This is half watermelon.
05:36 It has a lot of water.
05:38 In summers, it is said that watermelon should be eaten because it replenishes the dehydration.
05:46 And cucumber also replenishes the dehydration in summers.
05:52 So, we are adding again one cucumber.
05:54 Along with that, we will add some mint leaves.
06:00 We will keep some for garnishing.

06:04 Now, if you want to add, you can add sugar.
06:07 But, I suggest that you don't add sugar in this because watermelon is usually very sweet.

06:28 If you want to serve it to kids and kids don't like the fibre in their mouth, you can sieve it.
