Rescue dog starts crying when mom stops loving
Transcript
00:00 We felt like Rosie was used for breeding and possibly when she wasn't needed anymore,
00:05 someone just discarded her.
00:07 She was found abandoned by a couple lives close by and they brought her to our shelter.
00:14 She clearly had babies recently.
00:16 What are you doing there?
00:17 She was dirty, she was underweight, she had infections everywhere.
00:28 I brought her home, I decided to foster.
00:31 The first few days she was a little unsure but she met my three kids and my husband
00:37 and she really snuggled to everybody.
00:39 She was looking for love because she was abandoned.
00:43 If she wants my attention, she'll come and sit next to me.
00:55 (Rosie crying)
01:02 We did say we found her off button because when we put our hand on her head, she will stop.
01:07 (Rosie crying)
01:13 I took her to foster but very shortly after that, I realized that she needed to stay with us.
01:18 We changed her name to Rosie because she was like, we thought she was a little church lady.
01:25 Rosie's far from athletic, she has one speed and that's slow.
01:28 She is very enthusiastic about walks.
01:33 But she'll walk very slow and she'll walk in the direction she wants to go or else.
01:40 She loves everyone.
01:43 She met a cat, she met a pig, she met a duck.
01:47 Everyone can find their soulmate in a shelter.
01:50 Sometimes you have to look at the ones that are not that pretty,
01:53 not the breed that everybody has or wants.
01:55 Some that are older or some that maybe not as perfect as others.
01:59 Rosie also helped me with fosters.
02:03 We had quite a few and many of them are either medical or hospice or someone that needs respite from the shelter.
02:11 She just loves everybody.
02:12 She will follow me if she's ready to go out or if she needs dinner or if she needs some love.
02:20 Rosie's my girl.
02:21 She came to us at a time when I lost my previous dog.
02:24 Rosie, you ready?
02:25 I needed someone to heal my heart and she needed someone to give her some assurance
02:30 and to teach her that it's okay to trust now.
02:33 We're very bonded.
02:34 I always tell her how much I love her.
02:36 I tell her she can't go anywhere.
02:38 She has to be with me forever.
02:40 I think she's a very good girl.
02:47 I take her everywhere and Rosie meets a lot of my friends.
02:52 She has a few aunties that give her cappuccino every time we meet and she loves them very much.
02:57 Sometimes people will walk way around her not to meet her,
03:03 not knowing her personality, not knowing how great she is.
03:06 She's so happy.
03:07 I always say she's a mix between a hippo and a rhino, very short to the ground.
03:13 Her tongue is always out.
03:14 No matter what time of day, she sometimes wakes up from her sleep and her tongue is stuck under her chin.
03:19 She amazes me every single day.
03:21 We think that her mission in life is to put a smile on everybody and just to spread love.
03:25 That's all she has.
03:26 Come on.
03:28 She did it.
03:32 She did it.
03:33 She did it.
