00:00Hello, good morning. I think it's fair to say it's feeling a bit fresh out there first
00:04thing. That's because we have an area of low pressure just to the north of the U.K. at
00:09the moment and this is actually dragging some cooler air down from the north, which is why
00:13temperatures are generally a little bit below average for the time of year and really feeling
00:18that during the early hours of the day. But we are also aware that there's some showery
00:23rain to be had today, a feature pushing its way southwards across central into southern
00:28England, bringing a bit of cloud and then some outbreaks of showery rain mixed in with
00:32this too. But as that clears away towards the south, things will turn drier, brighter,
00:37sunnier across much of England, Wales and also Northern Ireland too. Even further north
00:42across parts of Scotland, there will be some sunny spells but plenty of showers still and
00:47some of these showers piling in from the northwest will be heavy, thundery, could be some hail
00:52mixed in with them as well. Quite a contrast in our temperatures today. In the south, where
00:57we get some decent sunshine, it's going to feel relatively warm. The sun has some decent
01:01strength behind it. Nonetheless, temperatures only near normal for the time of year. Further
01:05north, they're going to be a bit below average, some places struggling into double figures
01:11and with some blustery winds here, a bit more clouds, some showers, it's going to feel pretty
01:15fresh, especially considering it is early summer. We are going to see more showers pushing
01:21in across parts of Scotland overnight and they're perhaps going to become a bit more
01:25persistent with some more widespread cloud feeding in as we go through the early hours
01:29of tomorrow morning and that cloud and rain feeding into parts of Northern Ireland and
01:33the far north of England too. Elsewhere across England and Wales, it's actually going to
01:37be a dry night with largely clear skies and where we get the clear skies compared to where
01:42we get the cloudy skies, there will be quite a contrast in our temperatures in as much
01:46as it's going to turn chillier tonight across southern parts than it was last night where
01:51we have those clear skies, could even get a touch of grass frost in some prone rural
01:55spots here. Meanwhile, further north, temperatures probably not going to be as low as they were
02:00last night across much of Scotland and Northern Ireland with some clouds, some blustery winds
02:05and some outbreaks of rain feeding their way in. The cloud and the rain across northern
02:09parts will gradually push southwards as we go through tomorrow. So across northern, central
02:14England and Wales, it is going to turn increasingly cloudy and a bit wet after an initially sunny
02:19start clinging on to the sunny skies there across the far south of England, particularly
02:23towards the south coast, staying pretty sunny here. Meanwhile, across Northern Ireland,
02:28it's going to be pretty cloudy with outbreaks of rain through much of the day and across
02:32Scotland that rain shifts its way southwards. There could be something a bit drier, brighter
02:36for a time, but then plenty of showers feeding in on a northerly wind. That northerly wind
02:41still means we have cool air across us. So again, temperatures quite suppressed in the
02:45north, similar to today for many places towards the south, perhaps a touchdown for some similar
02:50though high teens just about scraping low 20s. So feeling warm enough in the very far
02:56south. Indeed, there will be some more showery rain to come as we go into next week and also
03:02temperatures aren't going to make any huge jump up. But you can find more information
03:06about this as we go through the weekend across our YouTube channel. Bye bye.
