00:00:00Can you say hard hats, folks?
00:00:08Hard hats, lunch pails, steel tool, boots.
00:00:10Anything short of a championship this year is a fail.
00:00:12Look at this boomer right here.
00:00:14You've just got so much talent here.
00:00:16Somebody said we need to apologize for Jaylen.
00:00:18Can I pull the John?
00:00:19What are we apologizing for?
00:00:20What did we say?
00:00:21What did we do?
00:00:22Let's go.
00:00:34Wow.
00:00:35Here we go.
00:00:36Three oh.
00:00:38Hard hats, lunch pails, steel-toed boots.
00:00:43Let's go, boys.
00:00:44How we feeling?
00:00:46We're still ... What a game.
00:00:48We're still exhaling after that.
00:00:50I get a lot of ...
00:00:52I'm not gonna lie I'm not gonna
00:00:55lie. I'm not being said I still
00:00:58wasn't believe it or not wasn't
00:01:02worried. Fully annoyed. Three
00:01:06but yes. I gotta say I was I
00:01:09wasn't the comments individual.
00:01:12Yeah. The Celtics held it out.
00:01:17Wow X. everybody in here that's
00:01:20gonna have to go report in a
00:01:22little bit so we'll get Bobby
00:01:25to start. Yeah this is their
00:01:28vintage championship when they
00:01:30talk. Punch up to punch up to
00:01:32punch in the Madison this one
00:01:33Dallas played pretty well
00:01:35across the board here that's
00:01:36role player contributions
00:01:38Washington woke up a little bit
00:01:40you had that hot hot start.
00:01:41Twenty five to twelve for
00:01:43Dallas and this place. Was
00:01:45bonkers I mean what a crowd
00:01:47what an atmosphere for this
00:01:49all year I mean this place is.
00:01:51I don't know if it was a
00:01:52building or what about the
00:01:53Celtic stop enough with the
00:01:55crowd I mean they- yeah and
00:01:57then they come out of it. Yeah
00:01:59they took him out of it you got
00:02:01bench contributions. Brown
00:02:03working off each other in the
00:02:04third quarter. Incredible I
00:02:07mean as the most I've seen the
00:02:08passing to each other playing
00:02:09off each other ever. And that's
00:02:11that to me and then of course
00:02:12you have that. All collapse in
00:02:14the fourth quarter. But pretty
00:02:17methodical stuff to get
00:02:18stretchers out of the game and
00:02:18up. Three with five twenty five
00:02:20to go to hold on it's pretty
00:02:22impressive because- that could
00:02:23have gone the other way. That
00:02:25could have piled on to a big
00:02:27Celtics deficit. The other
00:02:28direction we've seen playoff
00:02:29games like that from them in
00:02:30the past. Game seven against
00:02:32Cleveland in eighteen certainly
00:02:33went that way. After a pretty
00:02:35big collapse there so. This
00:02:37this did it this did it I I
00:02:39didn't like how the game
00:02:40started all you definitely
00:02:41thought they were gonna feel
00:02:42that for Zingas lost. More
00:02:44based on how this game started.
00:02:45But Tillman did his job for
00:02:47the Celtics. And I think that
00:02:48the way that Warford piled up
00:02:49stop after stop. I just
00:02:51continues to be one of the best
00:02:53defensive centers in the league
00:02:54at thirty eight it's unreal and-
00:02:56they may don't just work they
00:02:57tired him out they follow him
00:02:59out. And Dallas is done the
00:03:01Celtics gonna win the
00:03:02championship. Well okay okay I
00:03:05mean they're they're sitting
00:03:06pretty they're sitting pretty
00:03:07Bobby. I would think we would
00:03:09all agree three oh lead looking
00:03:10good going into game four
00:03:12Friday night. Everything's
00:03:13going the Celtics way. The
00:03:15thing that I was really
00:03:16impressed with. Was the
00:03:19contributions from all over the
00:03:21all over this roster at certain
00:03:23points whenever you need I
00:03:24mean. Who had Tillman three
00:03:26pointer on their bingo card
00:03:27tonight did anybody did even
00:03:29anyone have that like. Let's be
00:03:31real. You had the house or
00:03:32threes you had Tillman shipping
00:03:34in. You had Jalen Brown.
00:03:37Unbelievable second half and you
00:03:39and you got to give Tatum his
00:03:40flowers for the first. For the
00:03:41first half and then hit the way
00:03:42he started this game and- and
00:03:44everybody made a point and again
00:03:46Derek white in the second half
00:03:47so. Two guys in the first half
00:03:49that no showed Brown and white.
00:03:50Come up huge for you in the
00:03:51second half. Tillman putting on
00:03:54a freaking. Manly performance
00:03:57tonight just coming up you can
00:03:59see the guys how how much they
00:04:01were loving. Tillman's
00:04:02contributions tonight that
00:04:03three- and just the defense I
00:04:05mean the defense on Luca even I
00:04:07mean this guy was- it was like
00:04:09he didn't skip a beat out there-
00:04:11you know as as bad as he's
00:04:12looked at points. Leading up to
00:04:14tonight. Gotta give him all the
00:04:15credit in the world for just
00:04:16being ready to go. Obviously the
00:04:18news that Porzingis didn't play
00:04:20you know wasn't gonna go tonight
00:04:21was was a tough one for- for
00:04:23everybody to hear I think. I
00:04:25think some of us had feared the
00:04:27worst but we're still we're
00:04:28still a small percentage of us
00:04:30that. Yeah maybe maybe you know
00:04:32what. Let's get into the good
00:04:34stuff. Yeah exactly so but point
00:04:37being John is that guy stepped
00:04:38up in his in his absence and
00:04:40you know. Tillman Hauser our
00:04:42prime examples of guys who just
00:04:43got back those were the minutes
00:04:44right there. Again you're a
00:04:47hundred percent right. Tillman
00:04:49that first little stint. Because
00:04:51he came in about the Porzingis-
00:04:53stretch there and it was at
00:04:54about the six minute mark quick
00:04:56quick quick shift in and out in
00:04:58three minutes didn't look great
00:04:59there and then a second stint he
00:05:00stopped. He stopped Luca on one
00:05:02drive got a piece of it stop
00:05:03Kyrie on another drive and he
00:05:05looked a lot more comfortable
00:05:06and he gave you exactly what you
00:05:07wanted there. In terms of his
00:05:09switchability on defense it's
00:05:10what it's what you want. Hauser
00:05:12was a rock on defense they tried
00:05:14this they tried to get switches
00:05:15onto him. He stayed in front of
00:05:19his guy all the time he
00:05:20contested he challenged that he
00:05:21knocked down his threes and that
00:05:22changes everything. The dynamic
00:05:25and that's really what happened
00:05:26in the third is the three
00:05:26started the drive. It's you just
00:05:29keep doing what you're doing. I
00:05:31thought the poise they came out
00:05:32like such grown ups in the third
00:05:33quarter there the poise and just
00:05:35sticking to the plan in the
00:05:36process and again Bobby I almost
00:05:38wish you didn't have that fourth
00:05:40quarter because we could just be
00:05:41gushing about how different it
00:05:43is and how different they are
00:05:44from. Well the difference this
00:05:46year is that you have the
00:05:47defense. Yeah yeah you have the
00:05:49defense to sustain those
00:05:51offensive lapses twenty twenty
00:05:52in the second right yeah fourth
00:05:54quarter your offense falls
00:05:55apart but you have just enough
00:05:57stops to grind this one out
00:05:59again I. I didn't foresee three
00:06:01point lead but this is the thing
00:06:03five minutes off but it was. But
00:06:05look as Louise puts it here the
00:06:06trust issues are gone and that's
00:06:08why I like even when they were
00:06:09cutting it I was getting annoyed
00:06:10because I the one thing they
00:06:12can't get out of their way with
00:06:13is is is that stagnation prevent
00:06:15offense which again is
00:06:17frustrating because it's not the
00:06:18thing I want to talk about
00:06:19tonight because it doesn't really
00:06:20matter I thought they came out as
00:06:22I said is it with such they came
00:06:24out in that third so just stuck
00:06:28on their plan they didn't waiver
00:06:29what they haven't done all
00:06:30series is at any time that
00:06:32anything Dallas has done that's
00:06:33working for them they don't
00:06:34change their plan to be like
00:06:35okay well we got to overreact and
00:06:37now change everything that we do
00:06:38to stop this or to combat this
00:06:40the threes weren't falling they
00:06:42were only shooting about a 33%
00:06:43clip I think was nine of twenty
00:06:44seven the second half but that
00:06:46the three point math is what was
00:06:48keeping them in the game at that
00:06:49point even though they weren't
00:06:51hitting them and they just stuck
00:06:52with the drive and kick game in
00:06:53the drive and kick game and that
00:06:55was that Jackson charades
00:06:56looking for a link can you send
00:06:57it out for him he's trying to
00:06:58set up and join us charade is
00:06:59also here in Dallas Bobby's in
00:07:01Dallas Joe Swayze in Dallas
00:07:02everybody's in Dallas. But you
00:07:05know what you know what's in
00:07:06Boston Jimmy his hard hats and
00:07:09his hard hats made it into TV
00:07:11garden how about that was that
00:07:13was that was that on the Celtics
00:07:15Instagram account so they shared
00:07:16the Instagram account with one
00:07:18of their affiliate I.G.'s I think
00:07:20Celtics community so they were
00:07:22doing a collaborative Instagram
00:07:24post where they sent a bunch of
00:07:26pictures around from their
00:07:27account so if you're on Celtics
00:07:29Instagram or you follow them one
00:07:31of the slides go a few and you'll
00:07:32see a couple people sitting in
00:07:34like the front row of the Celtics
00:07:35watch party site already rocking
00:07:37the hard acts I'm actually gonna
00:07:38tweet the picture out on the
00:07:40ceiling a Celtics account but
00:07:42unbelievable I mean we've been
00:07:43shipping these things out all
00:07:43week they are for sale right now
00:07:45in the merch store along with a
00:07:46bunch of other good stuff so
00:07:48check that out definitely code
00:07:50one more 20% off one more
00:07:53hopefully that code is live it
00:07:55should be.
00:07:57Thanks Jimmy yeah. Thank you for
00:08:00that thank you for those guys in
00:08:02the chat feeling generous right
00:08:03now I don't know what these are
00:08:04but I'm happy that I'm happy to
00:08:05have them and yeah we thank all
00:08:09of you guys again a couple good
00:08:11things it'd be it'd be a shame to
00:08:13not give Tatum his flowers
00:08:14because he remembered how to
00:08:16score in the first half when they
00:08:17did it when everybody else was
00:08:18ice cold and the threes weren't
00:08:19falling which was good and it was
00:08:21needed second half we're not
00:08:24going to talk about it as much
00:08:25but Jalen Brown 61 61 for those
00:08:28two combined on good efficiency
00:08:30that's what you needed that's
00:08:31what you needed but you know
00:08:32Tatum they got a little
00:08:33turnover late don't love it but
00:08:37again other than that other than
00:08:39that little spurt there I mean
00:08:40Bobby what was the building like
00:08:42when first of all the two moments
00:08:45that I think you know need to be
00:08:48discussed above all else is the
00:08:50Jalen Brown no joke dunk that put
00:08:53them up 15 legit took the soul of
00:08:57everyone in this building with it
00:08:59it when you could hear like a
00:09:00whoosh like a vacuum sound a great
00:09:04two for one two yeah and they
00:09:05lined it up perfectly which you
00:09:07don't get often and then they come
00:09:10out of that fourth and those two
00:09:11back to back threes unreal putting
00:09:13them up 21 and they needed it they
00:09:14needed every every bit of it hey we
00:09:16love you too I dream of us and we
00:09:18love love right now yeah we love
00:09:20all of you guys and we love being
00:09:22one win away at this point and
00:09:23again I know Bobby you're going to
00:09:24jump into the locker room in a
00:09:25little bit and get some reaction
00:09:26and there's going to be a lot of a
00:09:28lot of stay ready crew locker room
00:09:29guys worth talking to tonight as
00:09:30we said Tillman Hauser with a
00:09:32terrific effort you know
00:09:34absolutely to me that's the story
00:09:37of the series we thought they're
00:09:38going to have to go to so many
00:09:39looks defensively to slow this
00:09:41team they've just had one switch
00:09:43everything stop the corner three
00:09:46stay in front of your guy and
00:09:48sustain some of the runs that
00:09:49Kyrie and Luca go on and there
00:09:51haven't been many it Lucas just
00:09:52been horrendous in this series
00:09:54I mean on that twenty to six run
00:09:56that got the Celtics back in it
00:09:58he had pressured point blank at
00:09:59the post twice and just couldn't
00:10:01score and at that point he was
00:10:03one for six against Pritchard in
00:10:05the series if he's not going to
00:10:07be able to beat Pritchard one on
00:10:09one you're looking at a sweep
00:10:11here and the defense just
00:10:12continues to speak for itself
00:10:14there I don't know how you can
00:10:15have him over Tatum after the
00:10:16series like I said last game
00:10:18it's it's just not it's not
00:10:20going to be easy for him to
00:10:22and he obviously he's got brown
00:10:23and so running mate Kyrie and
00:10:24this one pretty good but man he
00:10:27missed some big ones that step
00:10:28back on Horford that I think
00:10:30would have cut it to one after
00:10:31the Celtics got that Tatum dunk
00:10:33I think it was they've got it
00:10:34back to form so this this is a
00:10:37tough one across the board for
00:10:40those two you can't really say
00:10:43anything about Luca following
00:10:44out there Brian just got a
00:10:45really good run and he's got a
00:10:47really good run and he's got a
00:10:48really good run and he's got a
00:10:49really good run and he's got a
00:10:50Luca following out there Brian
00:10:51just got him in transition good
00:10:53pace from Boston throughout
00:10:54this one especially at the end
00:10:56of the first day to really get
00:10:57back into the game in a hurry
00:10:59and then it's kind of tit for
00:10:59tat the rest of the way and you
00:11:01get the two big runs Boston
00:11:02going up 21 Dallas getting the
00:11:04back within one but some good
00:11:07offensive execution from Boston
00:11:08in the third and the defense has
00:11:10just been there the whole
00:11:11series and like you said it's
00:11:12everybody how's their surviving
00:11:14throughout this series we didn't
00:11:15even know if he was going to
00:11:16play in this series Tillman
00:11:17coming in after not playing for
00:11:19so long and Pritchard still
00:11:21doing his thing yeah so
00:11:23unlikely contributors on the
00:11:24defensive end doing a ton yeah
00:11:27such a team effort again just a
00:11:29gritty a gritty win it the way
00:11:31this game started you knew
00:11:32Dallas was going to come out
00:11:33with some sort of joke right I
00:11:35mean playing in front of the
00:11:35home crowd they got the best
00:11:37start they possibly could and to
00:11:39only be up one point by the end
00:11:40of that first quarter I think
00:11:41John you must have somebody
00:11:43texted to me yeah it was just
00:11:44like that's unsustainable you
00:11:46know you got that was also the
00:11:4837 points from your you got the
00:11:50big games from your stars like
00:11:51everyone was like you know if
00:11:53Kyrie wakes up you know and he
00:11:55did he scored 35 points and
00:11:57obviously you know I guess
00:11:58someone said it earlier you're
00:11:59right Jimmy but yeah it was
00:12:00unsustainable like you're not
00:12:01getting in from other people
00:12:03actually in that run the reason
00:12:04they made that run is they
00:12:05started other people started in
00:12:06Dallas started realizing that
00:12:08oh I've got to take and make
00:12:09some threes and they did and
00:12:10that helped get get them back
00:12:11into it during that 22 run
00:12:13there but you're right Jimmy
00:12:14that was not sustainable and you
00:12:15had to feel you were right you
00:12:17told me that but I know but
00:12:19you're saying it you're right
00:12:20no I don't think I don't think
00:12:22we've said it either but this
00:12:23team's on a 10 game win streak
00:12:25in the playoffs it's just all
00:12:27time stuff from this group we
00:12:29really are watching one of the
00:12:30greatest teams ever do their
00:12:32thing now and hit their stride
00:12:33and a lot of it we mentioned
00:12:34the two for one we mentioned
00:12:36the math game as well as
00:12:37playing in many ways here I
00:12:40mean his fingerprints all over
00:12:41it too so he deserves a ton of
00:12:43credit as well for a variety of
00:12:45things obviously the way Tatum
00:12:47and Brown are playing the roles
00:12:49white and holiday have
00:12:50developed within the offense
00:12:52too and then you look at the
00:12:53bench the way they've utilized
00:12:55them here I just that's what
00:12:56surprised continues to surprise
00:12:58me is that that group is just
00:12:59blasted persisted so well into
00:13:01the playoffs now we got Tatum
00:13:03walking off the floor with a
00:13:06lot of Celtics fans well a
00:13:09smatter I won't say a lot but
00:13:10enough Celtics fans to be
00:13:11making some noise here that's
00:13:13yeah I mean great it's a great
00:13:15night to be a Celtics fan in
00:13:16Dallas let's put it that way
00:13:18yeah you're not going to work
00:13:20tomorrow hopefully on Friday
00:13:21you know you're not showing up
00:13:22tomorrow Thursday Thursday
00:13:24work this team could do it here
00:13:25on Friday they could you know
00:13:29what I mean as we go because I
00:13:30want the weekend off it would
00:13:31be great for the other day
00:13:32right the same time sweep these
00:13:35bombs prove everybody runs been
00:13:37shitting all over this team for
00:13:38the last couple months make them
00:13:40how many people pick them out
00:13:42so many people who get ask it
00:13:45about they get ball Bobby they
00:13:46saw the game differently they
00:13:48saw something that the Mavs did
00:13:50well in the Celtics didn't do
00:13:51well that they had Mavs in six
00:13:53but put it this way there's a
00:13:56good let's go Celtics chant
00:13:57going on can you guys can I can
00:13:58you guys not gonna be Mavs in
00:14:00six no matter what and I'd be
00:14:02surprised if it was anything
00:14:03close to Mavs in anything so
00:14:07again I don't want you don't
00:14:08want to count your chickens
00:14:09before they hatch but so far in
00:14:11way in the series it's been all
00:14:13selfless Xavier Tillman is going
00:14:15to the podium tonight as he did
00:14:19well should as you do most of
00:14:21you know what when Tillman's
00:14:23ready one of these is one of
00:14:25these is really is waiting for
00:14:27Tillman tonight because that was
00:14:28a hard hat game man talk about
00:14:30being ready to go to work at
00:14:32stay ready that's it stay right
00:14:34yes that's the hard hat win him
00:14:36and Hauser get the hard hats
00:14:37tonight unbelievable bench
00:14:39performance room and that's what
00:14:40you need we have one of the
00:14:41questions that we've had all
00:14:42season along with this team is
00:14:44are they deep enough after six
00:14:46there's six deep if one guy goes
00:14:48down what's going to happen
00:14:49Bobby we've I was worried the
00:14:52last 30 games of the regular
00:14:53season we said you got to get
00:14:54these guys more playing time
00:14:55what if the situation arises
00:14:57where you're going to need to go
00:14:58to one of them and sure enough
00:15:00unfortunately that's happened
00:15:01with Porzingis so Hauser stepped
00:15:04up in a mostly forgettable
00:15:07playoff run for Hauser I think
00:15:09he's maybe had one or two games
00:15:10that he's really contributed
00:15:12tonight he really really
00:15:14answered the bell those three
00:15:15three three three three three
00:15:17three pointers in a row that he
00:15:19had just a quick release never a
00:15:21doubt that it was going down all
00:15:23night and then for Tillman to go
00:15:24in not just the three point that
00:15:25we're obviously all going to
00:15:26remember but the way he played
00:15:27defense John I think he meant
00:15:28that his ability to guard Luca
00:15:31Hauser's ability to get in front
00:15:33stay in front of his guys these
00:15:34guys won the game because of
00:15:36their defense and yeah Kyrie got
00:15:38his and Luca was you know doing
00:15:40some Luca things but overall
00:15:42they locked down when they
00:15:43absolutely needed to I know that
00:15:45that fourth quarter had that
00:15:47fourth quarter had more to do
00:15:48with their offense completely
00:15:50going stagnant and forcing shots
00:15:52and just ugly that was like the
00:15:54worst version of Boston for a
00:15:56good good 10 minutes there right
00:15:59after the best version of them
00:16:00right I know and it can sustain
00:16:02it now which is which is good
00:16:04they're mentally strong enough
00:16:05to not just crumble in that spot
00:16:06right I mean they came they came
00:16:08to the brink of it but the
00:16:09difference this difference the
00:16:12difference this year is that is
00:16:14those last three points right
00:16:16difference this year is is not
00:16:18letting it get to that point
00:16:19where in previous seasons it
00:16:21would get to that point it would
00:16:22go past that point and they
00:16:24would lose the game right so
00:16:27big shots by Derek White too big
00:16:29shot oh my god the biggest shot
00:16:31him and Brown he lead Brown I
00:16:34think White leads the league in
00:16:36in bailout threes when when the
00:16:39possession went to shit and he's
00:16:40just at the top of the key the
00:16:41one that he kind of banked in
00:16:42from from the top of the key on
00:16:44a possession that had completely
00:16:45gone gone to hell was a huge
00:16:48shot at the time for them
00:16:49because you know things were you
00:16:51know they were trying to who got
00:16:52the offensive rebound there too
00:16:54after Tatum's this was that
00:16:55Brown maybe a couple plays before
00:16:57that maybe so big plays there
00:17:02like like Jimmy said they yeah
00:17:03it was Brown so he gets to put
00:17:05back White gets the three Tatum
00:17:07gets that dunk on the drop off
00:17:08from White and there were two
00:17:10moments obviously you mentioned
00:17:11the Brown one John where he just
00:17:13dunks and silences the place and
00:17:14he showed into the rim Mike
00:17:16which you could probably hear on
00:17:17the TV and then Tatum did the
00:17:19same thing with two minutes off
00:17:20to put them up six there just
00:17:21shouting into the rim Mike which
00:17:22was pretty cool they go up six
00:17:24at that point and then Brown hits
00:17:26that icer from the free throw
00:17:27line it it's pretty fitting Tatum
00:17:30and Brown both go for 30 in this
00:17:31one because this is probably the
00:17:32best I've ever seen them play
00:17:33together especially in that
00:17:36third there were just so many
00:17:37passes between them they were
00:17:38looking for each other they were
00:17:39both getting there's back and
00:17:41forth offensively and both
00:17:43playing in a good pace good
00:17:45rhythm the offensive execution
00:17:47again until the fourth was
00:17:48really good in this one for
00:17:49them and that's why a guy like
00:17:50Luke ends up falling out of this
00:17:52one they just had him in actions
00:17:53from like the end of the first
00:17:55or the second on they never gave
00:17:57him a break in this one and that
00:17:58was you know I like the defense
00:17:59the team because what happens
00:18:01you shut down yourself the hook
00:18:02this year yeah and he shuts down
00:18:04offensively as a result how
00:18:05much I did complain about yeah
00:18:08how many came up how many how
00:18:09many shots came up short for him
00:18:11in the in the second half quite
00:18:13a few off the front rim he
00:18:15starts to get complete you know
00:18:16and he's and then he starts to
00:18:18take plays off defensively on
00:18:19the Jalen Brown dunk I mean this
00:18:21was a this was a high pick and
00:18:23roll with a switch where Luca
00:18:25just had the step in front of
00:18:26him and he just all laid it he
00:18:28didn't at any point in time
00:18:29pretend that he was going by the
00:18:31way Tatum's at the podium now so
00:18:33I'm going to get going to these
00:18:34interviews okay go do your
00:18:36interviews we'll get your rod on
00:18:38in a little bit I'm sure I was
00:18:39going to replace you right now.
00:18:40Bobby we'll see you in a little
00:18:42bit we're going to bring
00:18:42shrugged lately on as soon as I
00:18:44get the thumbs up from him.
00:18:46Bobby how can I miss you if you
00:18:47won't leave buddy.
00:18:49There he is.
00:18:51There he is.
00:18:51Is your rod on here.
00:18:53It's bringing what's up fellas.
00:18:56What's going on.
00:18:57You tell me.
00:18:58Wow.
00:18:59Wow.
00:18:59Wow.
00:19:00Take a deep breath.
00:19:02This is this was.
00:19:04This is an amazing game.
00:19:06This was one of certainly.
00:19:09So many times I've seen lots of
00:19:11drama lots of intrigue at it.
00:19:14And and this was again the
00:19:16Celtics they got it this thing
00:19:18out I mean there's there's there's
00:19:20so many little plays and they
00:19:21almost gave it away.
00:19:22I mean it's like Dallas took the
00:19:24game gave it back to Boston
00:19:25Boston put him up went up by 21
00:19:27and then the Celtics almost
00:19:28pissed it away at the end.
00:19:31Just a real serious gut check
00:19:33here obviously you know people
00:19:35are going to talk a lot about
00:19:36Luke of falling out with 412 to
00:19:37play.
00:19:39It's tough to suck.
00:19:41It does.
00:19:41But again the Celtics did what
00:19:43they need to do to get the win.
00:19:44I mean it's that simple.
00:19:45You you came down here wanting
00:19:48to put this series away.
00:19:49I thought that they withstood
00:19:51that first really hard punch
00:19:53that Dallas through Kyrie and
00:19:55Luke were just making
00:19:56everything.
00:19:56I think they made the first four
00:19:58or five shots found themselves
00:20:00down 22 9 and then he slowly
00:20:02chipped away and Jason Tatum you
00:20:05know and I tweeted about this
00:20:07before the game.
00:20:08Game three is the best game that
00:20:09Tate has played in every single
00:20:11series.
00:20:12He came into this game in the
00:20:13previous three game threes
00:20:15averaging better than 30 points
00:20:1611 boards and like seven assists.
00:20:18So him showing out in game three
00:20:21not a shocker.
00:20:24Good win.
00:20:25Good.
00:20:25And now it's like you see the
00:20:27finish line if you're the boss
00:20:28and Celtics you just got to
00:20:29finish the race.
00:20:30You just got to finish the race.
00:20:33You're not looking around the
00:20:34corner thinking we're almost
00:20:35there.
00:20:35No you see it.
00:20:36It's there.
00:20:37You're literally 48 minutes away
00:20:39from battery to.
00:20:41Yeah that's it.
00:20:42I mean honestly it's always
00:20:46tough.
00:20:46The closeout game is always the
00:20:47hardest game right especially
00:20:48you're up three oh you're
00:20:49feeling good.
00:20:50You know you maybe you take your
00:20:51foot off the gas there.
00:20:52There's there's you know there's
00:20:54a chance that Dallas could could
00:20:56end up with a gentleman sweep
00:20:57situation of course you know.
00:20:59But that being said it's it's
00:21:01got to be pretty clear to
00:21:02everybody who's watched this
00:21:03series that the Celtics are just
00:21:06the more dominant team.
00:21:07You know they're the number one
00:21:08overall seed for a reason.
00:21:10Dallas give him credit for
00:21:11getting to this point.
00:21:12I think they overachieved a bit
00:21:13to get here.
00:21:15They talk about lack of depth.
00:21:17Clearly they have they have a
00:21:18lack of depth because they got
00:21:20their points tonight from Kyrie
00:21:22Kyrie showed up tonight.
00:21:23You know you know to tip your
00:21:25hat to him.
00:21:26It's very clear very very clear
00:21:29that the Boston Celtics crowd is
00:21:31in Kyrie Irving's head because
00:21:32he's a completely different
00:21:33player and Dallas as he is the
00:21:36boss and so he should stop you
00:21:37know egging on the fans and you
00:21:39know acting like they don't have
00:21:40anything on him because guess
00:21:42what they do.
00:21:43You can see a clear difference
00:21:45in his play in front of the home
00:21:47crowd that you know has nothing
00:21:48but you know kind things to say
00:21:51as opposed to going on the road
00:21:52and dealing with a little bit of
00:21:55of that vitriol if you will.
00:21:57I think that's that's the
00:21:58demoralizing thing about this
00:22:00game Jimmy the fact that they got
00:22:02the Kyrie game they got a pretty
00:22:03decent loop the game and they
00:22:05still and they know for Zingas
00:22:08and no poisonings and a bad
00:22:10first half Jalen Brown and a
00:22:12non factor Derek White first
00:22:13half I mean there were so many
00:22:15things that were working in
00:22:17their favor for the better part
00:22:19of this game and at the end when
00:22:21it came time to get it done they
00:22:23couldn't in the Celtics did.
00:22:28Yeah you got to feel pretty
00:22:29dejected right now if you're a
00:22:30Dallas Mavericks player.
00:22:32Oh it was great.
00:22:33I love that.
00:22:34One of my favorite things about
00:22:34watching games on the road is
00:22:36that it's sad girls the sad is
00:22:38the sad fans.
00:22:40Well you know what though.
00:22:41They're feeling really good in
00:22:43that first quarter.
00:22:44It gets me every time right
00:22:45because because yeah you can
00:22:47because you're you've been in a
00:22:49visiting arena you know Jimmy and
00:22:51I know you're where we're
00:22:52professionals but like you feel
00:22:54it you feel it.
00:22:54And I remember like you know one
00:22:56that killed me was that Colts
00:22:58comeback in the 2006 AFC
00:23:00championship game with a fake
00:23:01noise pumping in and I'm in
00:23:03there and I could feel my blood
00:23:05boiling as that goes on.
00:23:06So yeah it gets it it gets you
00:23:08into it more when you're because
00:23:11then then you're like you you
00:23:13know like right.
00:23:15Yeah.
00:23:15And so it's not a win on the
00:23:17road to write and when you do
00:23:19that it is you're snatching
00:23:21souls and it really is a tough
00:23:23you know a tough tough thing to
00:23:25I mean look at the Celtics you
00:23:26know you know what happened with
00:23:27them with Golden State.
00:23:28You know you know coming back
00:23:30here and that just we're never
00:23:31the same after that.
00:23:32That's just a performance
00:23:34tonight.
00:23:34Great comment.
00:23:36Yeah.
00:23:36Yeah.
00:23:37So you got that.
00:23:38We've got Jason Tatum at the
00:23:39podium we're going to put him up
00:23:41in just a second so we can
00:23:42already.
00:23:43We'll also say for those of you
00:23:45out there Jason Tatum doesn't do
00:23:46that often.
00:23:47He's got he might have something
00:23:49going on tonight.
00:23:49That's OK.
00:23:50Anyway what we do want to tell
00:23:52you about real quick is game
00:23:54four and I put this out as a
00:23:56tweet from our Celtics account
00:23:57in Dallas.
00:23:59Prices are coming down.
00:24:00You might be able to get into
00:24:01this game and you might be able
00:24:03to catch it.
00:24:03This is where Boston this is
00:24:05where you step up.
00:24:06This is where you swoop in and
00:24:08everyone's trying to sell their
00:24:09tickets because they know it's
00:24:11a lost cause and you come in
00:24:12here and you say yep and here's
00:24:14where you can show up and show
00:24:16up big in green here and
00:24:17potentially see the Celtics
00:24:19take home banner 18.
00:24:21Don't say it Jimmy.
00:24:22Don't say it.
00:24:22Don't say a word until I'm done
00:24:24with this.
00:24:24Never let me say something
00:24:25after nothing.
00:24:27Not a thing.
00:24:28OK.
00:24:29So it's game time makes NBA
00:24:31getting NBA final tickets even
00:24:32faster and easier prices on the
00:24:34game time app go down and I
00:24:36watched them go down today.
00:24:38You were able to get in for less
00:24:39than 400 right before tip off
00:24:41and that is not bad for an NBA
00:24:43finals game.
00:24:44I'll tell you that.
00:24:45We'll we'll we'll make it even
00:24:46easier for you.
00:24:47Just hang on.
00:24:48Well you can see it on the
00:24:48screen the discount code but
00:24:50those killer last minute deals
00:24:51and as you said and or as I
00:24:53said prices go down as you get

00:24:56tonight a bunch of great

00:25:00here you've never been to

00:28:00own here's Jason just you know
00:28:04showing the emotions of the
00:28:05game to guys that was excited
00:28:10tired that you know after the
00:28:12game you know we just we're not
00:28:15necessarily saying like one more
00:28:18anything like that we just say
00:28:19however long it takes nobody's
00:28:21relaxed nobody is satisfied but
00:28:25you know just at that moment.
00:28:29You know it's not a lot of
00:28:30problems and he said the same
00:28:32thing and we got to keep
00:28:34fighting you know we can't
00:28:36relax and that was basically the
00:28:38conversation.
00:28:43I love when Tatum's jacked up
00:28:45like that it doesn't matter
00:28:46didn't it didn't feel like he
00:28:48was really trying to like keep
00:28:49himself composed you know we I
00:28:52love when he brings that kind of
00:28:53energy I can't wait for okay I
00:28:55don't want to jinx anything but
00:28:56let's just say the Celtics do
00:28:57pull this off I need a side by
00:29:00side like celebration of KG
00:29:02after they won with anything is
00:29:04possible and then I need Tatum's
00:29:06reaction we're just like yo you
00:29:07know it's like it's a happy to
00:29:10get this W. and I like this this
00:29:12is nice we got three thousand
00:29:13requests in here right now.
00:29:16It watching the garden report
00:29:18we're going to hang on here for
00:29:20at least another hour while we
00:29:21wait for these other guys to
00:29:22jump in here so again tell your
00:29:24friends join the stream we are
00:29:26just getting started here on the
00:29:28garden report and yet Jason
00:29:29Tatum let's talk about his game
00:29:31because he needed something like
00:29:33this and again it's let's throw
00:29:36out the yes I wish I could take
00:29:39the whole twenty to two run and
00:29:40throw the whole thing out
00:29:41because I talking about it or
00:29:44spending a ton of time on it
00:29:46when they ended up winning
00:29:47doesn't really matter that's
00:29:49where Tatum was at his worst
00:29:50during that prevent portion of
00:29:52it let's talk about the rest of
00:29:53the game and not that portion
00:29:54because look that would be the
00:29:56entire story if they ended up
00:29:58blowing this game and we would
00:29:59spend the entire show on it and
00:30:01talk about nothing else that
00:30:02happened but since they won we
00:30:04have the benefit of focusing
00:30:05only on the good things- that
00:30:07Jason Tatum did and there were
00:30:08many. I agree I mean remember
00:30:12you know Dallas came out just
00:30:13swinging and being very
00:30:15impactful early on put him in
00:30:16a twenty two nine hole and
00:30:17Jason was the only one that was
00:30:19really keeping the Celtics you
00:30:20know able to withstand that
00:30:22Mavericks barrage of buckets
00:30:24early on so he I thought again
00:30:27had a really solid game minus
00:30:30that that that stretch in a
00:30:32fourth where no one can make
00:30:33shots or frankly impact the
00:30:36game positively but- Tatum he
00:30:38did what he needed to do I mean
00:30:40this is what your best players
00:30:42do when you're not having a
00:30:43great game you need to find a
00:30:45way to have a good enough one
00:30:46to help your team win and I
00:30:47thought he did that. Both ends
00:30:49of the floor- and you know what
00:30:53this is what this is what your
00:30:54best players supposed to do-
00:30:56when he's not having the
00:30:57greatest of games. Do other
00:30:59things and I thought he did a
00:31:00lot of little things tonight
00:31:01that really really. Really help
00:31:04this team win. Yeah I don't
00:31:06want to dump on anybody's
00:31:08parade here I mean. Tatum I
00:31:10there there's there's some
00:31:11instances where you're watching
00:31:12Tatum and you just wanted the
00:31:14shot to fall so badly and on
00:31:16some cases they but there are a
00:31:17few are just like. Go down go
00:31:20down go down and it's like. I
00:31:22give Tatum a lot of credit for
00:31:23the way he was aggressive
00:31:24tonight to start the game and
00:31:26he did make it a point to take
00:31:28shots and to his credit he he
00:31:30had a good amount of but- there
00:31:32was that next level I think I
00:31:33think of anyone watching the
00:31:34game was hoping he would get to
00:31:36but to your point Sharad and to
00:31:38his credit what he's been doing
00:31:39all series and really all
00:31:40playoffs is finding other ways
00:31:41to affect the game in a
00:31:42positive way and- you can't
00:31:44really. Argue that against that
00:31:46I mean. All the stats will back
00:31:48that up and- and you know
00:31:50whether it's potential assists
00:31:51or the rebounds or- you know if
00:31:53you just watch the game I guess
00:31:55you'll you'll be able to see
00:31:56how. Defensively you know him
00:31:58being in a basically take on
00:31:59any assignment- you know they
00:32:01were commenting on the broadcast
00:32:02it points tonight to. The
00:32:04inbounds there that they that
00:32:05Tatum was able to defend when
00:32:06they I think they tried to get.
00:32:08I figure who was but right off
00:32:09an inbounds maybe like a play at
00:32:11the rim and it was able to. To
00:32:13kind of stop that one so. You
00:32:15know unlike a lot of NBA players
00:32:16who when they when they go cold
00:32:19and when they're not effective.
00:32:20Just scoring the ball. They kind
00:32:23of just aren't really a part of
00:32:24the game and typically you lose
00:32:26that game Tatum is as found ways
00:32:28to. Contribute in a number of
00:32:30ways that allows him to you
00:32:32know be still. Are we the most
00:32:34input important player on the
00:32:36court at all times regardless of
00:32:37what he's doing. I'm not
00:32:39scoring wise. You still want to
00:32:42drop fifty on somebody's head
00:32:43let's not let's not get it
00:32:44twisted. You still want to see
00:32:46that because then is there's no
00:32:47arguing. It's right. I'd be
00:32:49wish you'd see it right Jimmy
00:32:51like. To see it when you say you
00:32:52wish the shots would go down you
00:32:53wish the shots would go down
00:32:54because that's going to be like
00:32:55reminiscent of like. As sure
00:32:57ought to call the top five Tatum
00:32:59where it's like. Okay it's an
00:33:01assassin mode and everything's
00:33:02gonna fall. And like we haven't
00:33:04seen that it does still feel
00:33:06like he's working for it he's
00:33:07working really hard for it and
00:33:08you know what he has to because
00:33:10they're still keen on him and
00:33:12they're still you know there's
00:33:14three there's guys waiting to
00:33:16close off every lane he gets
00:33:17past the first guy there's a guy
00:33:18waiting to come and there's help
00:33:19underneath and so they're
00:33:21really really really trying to
00:33:22close it off for him and to try
00:33:24to keep him away from the
00:33:25basket to force him to take long
00:33:27contested twos and- sometimes he
00:33:29takes the bait but also
00:33:30sometimes that's in his bag and
00:33:32during the regular season he hit
00:33:33those at a better clip than he's
00:33:34hitting them out at the playoff
00:33:35so you're kind of waiting for
00:33:36the regression to the mean on
00:33:38that where one of these days
00:33:39they're going to dare him to you
00:33:41know take those or he's just
00:33:42going to go into you know. You
00:33:44know I saw Tatum step back mode
00:33:46and they're gone they're going
00:33:46to drop and some of them dropped
00:33:48earlier and that that was kind
00:33:49of key to what the Celtics were
00:33:51doing because everybody else
00:33:53started cold Al drew and- and
00:33:56white really didn't do much in
00:33:57that first half there- and so
00:33:59you really needed Tatum to
00:34:01remember how to score and thank
00:34:02goodness he did. While we're
00:34:04saying all of that it's
00:34:05impossible to not. Once again
00:34:07it's impossible to not. To
00:34:09mention and it isn't in either
00:34:11or. But Jalen. Is better.
00:34:17Groundground was everything
00:34:19Jalen tonight was. He was
00:34:22Jalen he was so this was he's
00:34:26had better statistical games
00:34:28but this was special. He
00:34:31holiday without that's tonight
00:34:32to honestly and I I know I'm
00:34:34trying to be nice about the
00:34:36Tatum stuff because he had a
00:34:37lot of time to prepare and-
00:34:39there will be. He did but this
00:34:41was another. Browns passing
00:34:43tonight was unbelievable when
00:34:45he wasn't scoring five assists
00:34:46in the first half. And then he
00:34:48made some really tough shots
00:34:50there in the third those just
00:34:51soul snatching like contested
00:34:53twos over the top of everybody
00:34:55that you're convinced like
00:34:56that's the shot you wanted to
00:34:57take and then he hits it
00:34:58anyway and you're like- and
00:35:00like he was just great as
00:35:02passing was outstanding all
00:35:03game in his defense never let
00:35:05up never let up all game long
00:35:06and- I think he's going to be
00:35:08the MVP of the Jalen Brown game
00:35:10it feels like it's going to be
00:35:11a photo finish for. MVP between
00:35:14him Andrew because I right now
00:35:16I drew I don't get ahead of
00:35:18coming in here but Jalen I
00:35:19think is moved to the front of
00:35:21that pack what in game four if
00:35:22you goes out and has like a
00:35:23game like you had in game two
00:35:25he could easily be it could be
00:35:27a recency bias everything
00:35:28we're- because of who plays
00:35:30better in game four. For the
00:35:32Celtics they win yeah it's
00:35:33probably got. Maybe he's gonna
00:35:35be the MVP of the game. Yeah
00:35:38he's got the name he's a run
00:35:40away he's a he's he's a run
00:35:42away- favorite at this point I
00:35:45think yeah and I. I don't want
00:35:48to yeah I. I would agree and
00:35:50it's well deserved and you know
00:35:51what he brought in the eastern
00:35:53conference finals. He's been
00:35:55bringing all playoffs he's had
00:35:57a he's had a little chip on his
00:35:58shoulder which is great works
00:36:01out for the Celtics works out
00:36:02for him. He's always been a guy
00:36:04that. Like slights against him
00:36:07as motivation in it and to his
00:36:09credit good for him because he
00:36:11is the highest play pair in the
00:36:12NBA and he's still finding ways
00:36:14to feel like he's not respected
00:36:17and right good if that's what
00:36:19it takes and that's what it
00:36:20takes. And next year will be
00:36:22something else that'll keep him
00:36:23going right so- you got it you
00:36:26got to just tip your cap to this
00:36:27guy. He's shown up when it
00:36:29matters most again it when you
00:36:31looked at that. It when I when
00:36:33you look at it obviously you
00:36:34watch the game and you saw it
00:36:35but when you look at the box
00:36:36where you go. And Jalen Brown
00:36:38really was a no show on that
00:36:39first half Derek white one for
00:36:41seven I think it was about.
00:36:42Brown specifically stood up
00:36:43because it wasn't really much
00:36:44that. You could remember him
00:36:46doing in that first half and
00:36:48something have to change in the
00:36:49second half you needed. Two
00:36:51things to happen you needed.
00:36:53Kyrie and Luka to slow down just
00:36:55a bit. And you needed somebody
00:36:57else in the Celtics to step up
00:36:59and Brown was obviously the most
00:37:01likely player because of. You
00:37:03know a typical Brown performance
00:37:04does not look like how it
00:37:05looked in the first half so. It
00:37:07made sense that something would
00:37:08change in the second half. And
00:37:09white was the other guy those
00:37:10two guys. Needed to turn things
00:37:12around in second half. And they
00:37:13did not be Brown. With the
00:37:15emphatic dunk which it seems
00:37:16like we see now. Once every
00:37:18couple games he catches. He
00:37:20catches somebody or people of I
00:37:21think starting to learn now. To
00:37:23you know. Let the man let the
00:37:25man do his thing when we when he
00:37:27when he gets a little space.
00:37:29Down the lane around the free
00:37:30throw. Free throw line. Just
00:37:32let him let him go ahead and
00:37:34get those two points it's not
00:37:35worth trying to get in the way
00:37:35of that. But you know what
00:37:36Jimmy. Maybe the most important
00:37:39thing Jalen did all game long.
00:37:40Was drawn a six following Luka.
00:37:43When you look at the way that
00:37:44this game was playing out that
00:37:45it was going to be like a one
00:37:47possession. One shot
00:37:48competition when the game type
00:37:50of situation. That is in Luka's
00:37:52will. Do you think that
00:37:54Missoula timeout was all to tell
00:37:56them to go get that six foul. I
00:37:59don't know I don't know I mean
00:38:01I mean I mean I mean I think
00:38:02Jalen was a genius on his part.
00:38:05Yes he did that. But to me. The
00:38:09way that they attack. On that
00:38:12inbounds I mean like they got
00:38:13the ball up to Jalen really
00:38:15really quick. When that
00:38:16possession and Jalen with no
00:38:18hesitation. Went right at Luke
00:38:20all the right after the fifth
00:38:21ball and then they call the
00:38:22switch then they went right at
00:38:23him. There. I mean. Yeah I think
00:38:26was pretty clear that they were
00:38:27that was what they're going for
00:38:29they were trying to get him.
00:38:30I mean it's no secret Luke is
00:38:31not exactly you know Mr.
00:38:33defense. He's not great at
00:38:36moving his feet particularly in
00:38:37transition. And they caught him.
00:38:39They caught him out of position
00:38:41and made it made him pay. So.
00:38:44Heck of a play for Jalen just to
00:38:45be to just to recognize that
00:38:47moment attack. Get that six
00:38:48foul and help the state secure
00:38:50this victory. Yeah.
00:38:54Yeah. You want to do it now.
00:38:56I'm going to give it to you.
00:38:58Why are you leaving or something.
00:38:59No I'm gonna let you do your
00:39:00thing. Oh wow what a guy.
00:39:02Jimmy wants to tell you guys
00:39:04something. Oh am I going to put
00:39:05this up. Yeah. No put up your
00:39:07put up your banner first. Yeah
00:39:08got my banner right here. Okay.
00:39:10Now you know what's selling at
00:39:11this merch store right guys.
00:39:13Okay first off use the code one
00:39:15more for 20 percent off one
00:39:16more. Because they need one more
00:39:18win which means they've gotten
00:39:19how many Jimmy. Fifteen.
00:39:21Fifteen. Yeah. Well done Jimmy.
00:39:24There you go. This has been
00:39:25super helpful. We are not
00:39:27kidding when we say hard hats
00:39:29are flying off the shelves
00:39:30they're flying off the shelves
00:39:31and can't make them as fast.
00:39:32We can't make them. Jimmy send
00:39:34me a video of them. They're
00:39:35legit flying off the shelves.
00:39:37Where's that video. Send that
00:39:38again. We're going to put that
00:39:39on the screen to text it to you.
00:39:41Well yeah. We have a team of
00:39:43Jane our marketing unbelievable
00:39:45company. But while here while
00:39:49here you know obviously there's
00:39:52a game here and there were some
00:39:53Celtics fans there was a watch
00:39:54party at the guard. What boss.
00:39:56I got to say Boston. Good job
00:39:58tonight. First up for I I'm not
00:40:00a watch party guy but the
00:40:01garden was basically filled for
00:40:02a watch party. About 50,000
00:40:05people showed up to watch
00:40:06basically a live podcast
00:40:07featuring Tom Brady at Gillette
00:40:11and this game tonight which is
00:40:14crazy. How many people showed
00:40:16out for sports. But at the
00:40:20garden Jimmy look at what this
00:40:23is unbelievable. This is what I
00:40:24would love. So what happened
00:40:26here. This is surreal. I don't
00:40:28know what you guys. Wow. But I
00:40:30appreciate you. I appreciate you
00:40:32both so much. This is at the
00:40:34garden watch party and they're
00:40:36just wearing those frickin
00:40:37things. They're just wearing
00:40:39them. They look great. Look at
00:40:41that. They look awesome. They
00:40:42look comfortable. And by the
00:40:43way they are very comfortable.
00:40:45I don't know if I mean I've
00:40:46definitely shown this before
00:40:47but when we go big screen again
00:40:49I'll show it again. But that's
00:40:51like these guys are front row
00:40:52at the watch party which sounds
00:40:54like a good idea. But I wonder
00:40:55how that worked with the neck
00:40:57trying to look up on that
00:40:58jumbo straw. I'm not sure. But
00:41:00the place was packed tonight.
00:41:01Good vibes only. Packed with
00:41:03hard hats is what it was.
00:41:04Packed with hard hats. Somebody
00:41:06tweeting me and said go on the
00:41:07Celtics Instagram page. There's
00:41:08hard hats all over the place. I
00:41:09thought they were joking. Sure
00:41:11enough there it is. But it's
00:41:14been it's been a lot of fun.
00:41:15And the hard hats started as you
00:41:19know obviously it started a
00:41:20couple of years ago on this
00:41:22show. Just tossed it on. The
00:41:24whole point is that the whole
00:41:28thing is just go to work. Show
00:41:30up. Put on the hard hats. Lace
00:41:31up the steel toe boots. Bring
00:41:33your lunch pails and just do
00:41:34your job. Right. As a once
00:41:37great head coach Bill Belichick
00:41:38once said. Do your job. Just
00:41:39show up. Put the work in. Put
00:41:42on the hard hat and just get it
00:41:43done. And when the Celtics do
00:41:45that good things happen. And
00:41:46tonight I already mentioned
00:41:48I'm giving out the hard hat to
00:41:49Tillman. I'm giving out the
00:41:50hard hat to Hauser. Guys who
00:41:51just showed up were ready to
00:41:53work when they were called
00:41:54upon. So that's the whole
00:41:55thinking behind the hard hat.
00:41:57I would love for these to take
00:41:58off. I mean who knows what's
00:41:59going to happen. They are they
00:42:00are selling like I'm not just
00:42:02saying that. They've been
00:42:03selling like crazy. I don't
00:42:05think anyone else is doing it.
00:42:07So it's kind of a unique thing.
00:42:08It's it's fun. And these are
00:42:11John let's go big for a second
00:42:12if you don't mind. What does
00:42:14that mean? Just go go full
00:42:16screen back. Back to you? No
00:42:17just all of us. Us. Us people.
00:42:21Yeah. We people. I want people
00:42:22to know this is a real hard hat.
00:42:24It's not like a joke. OK.
00:42:26They're stanzas. They're nice.
00:42:27No. Come on Evan Marinovsky
00:42:29clean it up. It does. It
00:42:32absolutely does. But these are
00:42:34legit. Got some padding on the
00:42:35front here. Padding on the back.
00:42:37You could go backwards with it
00:42:38if you want. You can go
00:42:39front to front with it. You got
00:42:40the shamrock here. You got the
00:42:42seal in his garden report logo
00:42:44and you got the saying hard
00:42:45hats. Lunch pills. Steel toe
00:42:47boots. I know Sherrod's got one
00:42:48coming. Shout out to Sherrod.
00:42:50You know that. I saw that.
00:42:52Hell yeah. It's gonna look nice.
00:42:55So again go ahead. And by the
00:42:57way guys it's not just hard hats.
00:42:58We've got a bunch of t shirts
00:42:59there. We have bucket hats. If
00:43:01the hard hat isn't your thing
00:43:02grab a phenomenal bucket hat
00:43:03that Bobby Manning rocks. Grab
00:43:05a couple of t shirts. We got
00:43:06phenomenal t's. Garden report
00:43:08logo t's. We got backpacks. We
00:43:11got mugs. If you like to wake up
00:43:13with a little garden report show
00:43:15in the morning grab a garden
00:43:16report mug to go with that. You
00:43:18got a number of options there
00:43:19and don't forget the code. One
00:43:21more for 20% off. And we are now
00:43:23doing international shipping.
00:43:26So previously we weren't doing
00:43:27international shipping but we've
00:43:28got so many messages from down
00:43:31under. People from all over the
00:43:32world want a hard hat. No lie.
00:43:33I've got people from Australia,
00:43:35England, Canada, all over the
00:43:37world which is humbling and we
00:43:39appreciate it. So I do not set
00:43:42the international shipping
00:43:43prices. I have no idea what they
00:43:44are. We're not making money at
00:43:46all off shipping. It's just
00:43:48that's what it costs to send
00:43:50like something this size. I
00:43:52think it's first class priority
00:43:53shipping. So that's my spiel.
00:43:56There it is. The hard hats are
00:43:58out. Hopefully we didn't lose
00:43:59all the viewers during that.
00:44:00No, we're good. We tweeted the
00:44:01link to the link is tweeted on
00:44:02CLNS Instagram. Our sad
00:44:06producer here Jackson asking if
00:44:08you can have course Jackson you
00:44:09can have a hard hat. Of course
00:44:11you can. You can have a hard
00:44:12hat. You come to work. We'll
00:44:15call it your we'll call it your
00:44:16Christmas bonus. Yeah. That's
00:44:19awesome. Who came up with it?
00:44:20He wants to know. I came up with
00:44:22it. So Jimmy, how wrong with me
00:44:24with it? With our how wrong were
00:44:25we with our Celtics in five
00:44:26prediction? Embarrassingly wrong.
00:44:29Embarrassingly wrong. We didn't
00:44:32give him enough credit. We
00:44:33didn't give him enough credit,
00:44:34John. It was funny. It was
00:44:35like, everyone's wondering who
00:44:36Jackson is, is if I've somehow
00:44:38replaced or fired on it. Um, it
00:44:39is safe. Um, it is fine. Um,
00:44:41it's doing lots of different
00:44:42things. Jackson Tolliver is one
00:44:45of our new rising stars at
00:44:46CLNS media. Uh, yeah, much like
00:44:49I'm at home. So it's not just
00:44:52me home. Jackson's I think he's
00:44:54on much like he doesn't sleep
00:44:55ever and he just gets the job
00:44:59done, gets the job done. Um, so
00:45:01yes, Jackson gets a hard hat
00:45:03for his efforts. No doubt about
00:45:05it. Yep. And um, stay tuned
00:45:08guys. Cause if the Celtics do
00:45:09pull this off, there might be
00:45:11some surprise merchandise
00:45:12showing up in the merch store.
00:45:14We're, we're ready. Let's put
00:45:15it this way. We're ready for
00:45:16it. We're ready. We're ready.
00:45:18Anyway, back to the game guys.
00:45:20And again, before the game I
00:45:22talked about a lot, I think,
00:45:24you know, whether it was
00:45:27Twitter, the shows that we did
00:45:28just kind of, you know, back
00:45:30and forth, even the post game,
00:45:31I wasn't sure what Dallas could
00:45:33do differently. Um, like I just
00:45:37think they had to just hope
00:45:38that the stuff that they
00:45:39normally do, they just did
00:45:41better. Um, and it happened for
00:45:43a little bit, right. You know,
00:45:44because you had Kyrie starting
00:45:46to hit his shots and this and
00:45:47that, and, but it's not enough.
00:45:50I, and I, I think that's kind
00:45:52of always been the case. It's
00:45:53never been enough. It's like
00:45:55when you talk about an
00:45:55adjustment series, like when
00:45:57you're starting to talk about
00:45:58when you say ridiculous things,
00:45:59like it's hard, they got to
00:46:02start playing hard away and XM,
00:46:04you know, if that's where you
00:46:06are, it's over. Like XM hit
00:46:09that panic button, right? Yeah.
00:46:11Like, but I'm saying if, if
00:46:12that, if the key to your, like
00:46:13if you were the Celtics right
00:46:14now and you're like, I think we
00:46:15need to start giving Jaden
00:46:16Springer minutes, like it's
00:46:18over, it's over, you're cooked.
00:46:19There's nothing you can do.
00:46:21Right. So like, that's kind of
00:46:22where they are right now is
00:46:24they have to just do what they
00:46:25do, but just do it better and
00:46:28hope that Celtics do what they
00:46:29do worse. I think that's the
00:46:31only way that it works at this
00:46:33point. Well, they, I mean, they
00:46:35went like 11 deep in the first
00:46:37half. We played 11 guys. They
00:46:40tried everybody. I mean,
00:46:42Ben Sherrod, we, we, we were,
00:46:43we, we were right next to each
00:46:45other was, uh, was who was
00:46:46Hardy? Yeah. Hardy, which,
00:46:50which again, Hardy had like a
00:46:51really solid end of game one
00:46:54when nobody was really playing
00:46:55defense. So you think that
00:46:56maybe they try to throw them in
00:46:57their game too, which they
00:46:58didn't really do, but they
00:47:01played with a level of
00:47:03desperation that wasn't like
00:47:05sense of urgency desperation.
00:47:06It was, we don't have any
00:47:08solution. So we're just going
00:47:09to just try to throw something
00:47:10out there and hope that
00:47:11something sticks. Uh, they were
00:47:13in nothing did, uh, they had a
00:47:16great start and the first
00:47:18quarter, you kind of knew that
00:47:18this was going to be one of
00:47:19those nights for Dallas because
00:47:21they thoroughly outplayed the
00:47:22Celtics for most of the first
00:47:23quarter and all they had to
00:47:24show for it was a one point
00:47:25lead and Boston was a little
00:47:27bit better in the second
00:47:28quarter. And again, all Dallas
00:47:30had was a one point lead. So
00:47:31you figure if the Celtics got
00:47:32into any semblance of a rhythm
00:47:34and inconsistency for four or
00:47:36five, six minutes stretch,
00:47:37they're probably going to win
00:47:38the game. And that's exactly
00:47:39what they did. Held on.
00:47:41Obviously there, when it got a
00:47:42little bit dicey in the fourth,
00:47:43but Dallas, they just, they're
00:47:46just not built to win this
00:47:48series, uh, at all. So
00:47:54John, we can sit here all night
00:47:55and talk about what can Dallas
00:47:56do? They can't do nothing. And
00:47:59that's kind of why we felt the
00:48:02way we felt coming in. They're
00:48:03not going to win four straight
00:48:04if Porzingis never played and
00:48:07the Celtics, you know, and
00:48:09you know, had a couple of those
00:48:11lay down games. Again, the most
00:48:12impressive thing about the
00:48:13Celtics for me through all
00:48:15three of these games is, um,
00:48:18again, with the exception, we
00:48:20always have to throw it out of
00:48:22that little prevent offense
00:48:23they did here in the fourth
00:48:24zero left, zero let up, you
00:48:27know, and that's just bad
00:48:28execution to me. It's not lack
00:48:29of effort when they, when they
00:48:31slow the ball down, they're
00:48:32just not doing what they're
00:48:33supposed to be doing there.
00:48:35The, they, they have not stopped
00:48:39at any point in time. They are
00:48:42playing their fuck their asses
00:48:45off the entire series. And so
00:48:48you didn't, there wasn't one of
00:48:50those games where like, maybe
00:48:51we can catch the Celtics not
00:48:52serious or getting bored. You
00:48:54know, the two nothing lead
00:48:55game. Yeah, absolutely. One,
00:48:57you think you might get bored
00:48:58with. I actually do wonder
00:48:59whether Porzingis being out up
00:49:01the urgency of this one. If you
00:49:02come in with KP fully loaded
00:49:04and you think like, we got this
00:49:05in the bag, these guys can't
00:49:06run with us. I don't know if
00:49:08that, you know, let's let up to
00:49:10the point, but I do think that
00:49:11that helps you refocus a little,
00:49:12which is we can not screw
00:49:14around. Like we've absolutely,
00:49:16absolutely got to bring it. And
00:49:18they, they keep doing it. I, I
00:49:20can't stop watching drew
00:49:21holiday. He, you talk about the
00:49:24dip. You want to compare
00:49:25players instead of comparing
00:49:27Brown and Tatum and who's
00:49:28better compare holiday and
00:49:30Luca watch as the game goes on
00:49:32and holidays still in white.
00:49:34They're just still buzzing
00:49:36around offense and defense,
00:49:37never stopped moving. These
00:49:40guys cannot be worn down. And
00:49:42Lucas just, you know, whether
00:49:44it's just being on a shape or
00:49:46the pain, pain injections are
00:49:48wearing off or whatever it is
00:49:49like it's, you just see it
00:49:52powered down. Those guys just
00:49:55go. Yeah. That's defensive
00:49:56backcourt in the NBA as voted
00:49:58on. We knew it, we saw it and
00:50:00then it was stamped, approved,
00:50:02sealed and delivered. And that
00:50:04hasn't changed. You know, the
00:50:06offense comes and goes, but the
00:50:07defense is mostly effort. And
00:50:11that's one thing you can say
00:50:12about this team. They don't
00:50:14give up. They don't, they don't
00:50:16you know, certainly the
00:50:18backcourt, if you're talking
00:50:19about drew and white here, as
00:50:20you were talking about John, I
00:50:21can't think of one time this
00:50:23year where I said, these guys
00:50:24are half assing it out there or
00:50:26they're, they're not, they
00:50:27don't want to play today. They
00:50:28don't, they didn't show up. You
00:50:28know what I mean? Like you
00:50:29never felt that way about them.
00:50:31They're those guys are the
00:50:32reason you had fewer of those
00:50:33games of all the times this
00:50:35year, we said they lose that
00:50:36game last year. There's a
00:50:37million of those this year is
00:50:38about 20 of them, including
00:50:40probably four or five in the
00:50:41playoffs alone, where it's
00:50:42like they lose that game last
00:50:43year. It's because of those
00:50:45guys, I think. And it's, you
00:50:47know, that they'll never let
00:50:49there weren't, there were too
00:50:51many. There basically there's
00:50:53too many critical players on
00:50:55the floor who are doing
00:50:56critical things who would not
00:50:57allow that to happen. And
00:51:00that's what changed the
00:51:01equation for it. There was
00:51:02just, there was too many
00:51:02grownups. There's too many
00:51:03serious people and it can
00:51:04never get, it never got out
00:51:06of hand because those guys
00:51:07are always doing the right
00:51:08thing. So even if some people
00:51:09would lapse into their worst
00:51:11tendencies or just have a bad
00:51:12stretch, you just had these
00:51:14rocks there who even when
00:51:16they didn't have results were
00:51:17almost always trying to do the
00:51:19right thing. Uh, and I that's,
00:51:21I just, I, you know, that's
00:51:24why I defended drew even
00:51:25through like some spells where
00:51:27it's like people are like, I
00:51:29thought this guy was better,
00:51:30you know, like, I don't know.
00:51:32I thought he was exactly what
00:51:33you were hoping he would be
00:51:34and possibly even more. I
00:51:37can't say enough. I mean,
00:51:39drew goes into disruptive mode
00:51:42and completely changed the
00:51:43game. Like that three ball
00:51:44that he hit that put them up
00:51:45to, and then he gets a steal
00:51:47that says uptate him for
00:51:48three ball. They're up five.
00:51:49At that point, that was their
00:51:50biggest lead. And from there
00:51:51things just snowballed for
00:51:52them. And as much as we can
00:51:54talk about what Jalen did and
00:51:55what Jason did and, you know,
00:51:57Sam gave him a nice lift off
00:51:58the bench. That sequence right
00:52:00there that drew holiday put
00:52:02together back to back set all
00:52:04that other stuff in motion.
00:52:06And he's been doing that
00:52:07throughout the post season. Uh,
00:52:09and it, it almost feels as
00:52:10though, you know, he was just
00:52:12kind of basically storing up,
00:52:14you know, all that drew
00:52:15capital, all that drew currency
00:52:17for this moment, because this
00:52:19is why, you know, if you're
00:52:21with gross spec, you go
00:52:22millions and millions and
00:52:23millions over that second
00:52:24apron and, and spend way more
00:52:26money than a lot of NBA owners
00:52:27are willing to, because you
00:52:29wouldn't got the pieces that
00:52:30you absolutely needed to get
00:52:32over the hump. And they're
00:52:33right now they're 40 minutes
00:52:35away from winning a better
00:52:3618. And that's why we're
00:52:37paying $10 for media meals in
00:52:39the finals, you know, because
00:52:40we got to, we got to pick up
00:52:41some of that drew tax and
00:52:42that's fine. And Dallas, did
00:52:43you have to pay? No, they
00:52:45gave us a card to buy
00:52:46concessions, uh, instead of
00:52:48having a media meal, which is
00:52:50pretty gross. It's actually
00:52:52funny. Yeah. It was really
00:52:53funny. It was pretty
00:52:54concessions. I got a question
00:52:55for both. Well, actually
00:52:58Carlos has the question. I'm
00:52:59going to alter it a little
00:53:00bit. Is this the most
00:53:02dominant Celtics team ever?
00:53:03He asked, we need like
00:53:05Jelsa or, or like Bob Ryan
00:53:06and probably into that one.
00:53:07But what about comparing it
00:53:08to 0 7 0 8? You know,
00:53:10Shroud and John, you guys
00:53:11are both obviously big, big
00:53:13into those teams. It's
00:53:15close. Yeah. If they win a
00:53:17championship, it becomes
00:53:19legitimate. It becomes
00:53:20legitimate argument. When
00:53:21you look at this team, I
00:53:22think from top to bottom,
00:53:23I think you might want to
00:53:24give the edge to this.
00:53:25Yeah. I mean, think about
00:53:27this. I mean, you're of
00:53:29your top six, top seven
00:53:31players. You're probably
00:53:32looking at four or five
00:53:35in hall of fame
00:53:36conversation guys right
00:53:38now. Um, true holiday.
00:53:40We'll have a couple of
00:53:41titles out. Horford will
00:53:42have a championship.
00:53:43Tatum and Brown are still
00:53:44in their mid twenties. So,
00:53:46you know, they're going to
00:53:46keep getting better. That's
00:53:47four guys right there. Um,
00:53:50you know, and so, you know,
00:53:51Derek, Derek, why will be
00:53:53someday? He could be, I
00:53:55mean, he could be like,
00:53:56you know, the Michael
00:53:56Cooper guy, the guy that,
00:53:57you know, maybe didn't
00:53:58have all the numbers of
00:53:59the superstars, but you
00:54:00know, 10, 15 years after
00:54:01he retired, he may very
00:54:03well be in that
00:54:03conversation as well. So
00:54:05you get to go, you get to
00:54:06go, you get to go that
00:54:07old 18. When you get, when
00:54:08you look past Paul Ray KG
00:54:12and probably Rondo, I'm
00:54:14not sure if you got much
00:54:15else. Rondo wasn't Rondo
00:54:16yet. And Perk was a
00:54:17perfect role player. Rondo
00:54:19wasn't fully Rondo. Rondo
00:54:20was the guy. Rondo wasn't
00:54:22the guy that they fully
00:54:23trusted. He wasn't put off
00:54:25Rondo then. Yeah. Different
00:54:27guy. So you see the roster
00:54:28and you're like, and Rondo,
00:54:29but Rondo wasn't close to
00:54:32what Rondo became, um, in
00:54:34subsequent years. Um, there
00:54:36I would say this team
00:54:38through the first five or
00:54:39six probably has more
00:54:40talent. Um, that being
00:54:42said, you know, the self
00:54:45KG did everything right.
00:54:47You know, KG was, if your
00:54:49best player was drew, it
00:54:50was drew holiday into
00:54:51Tatum skillset, you know,
00:54:52like he did everything
00:54:54right. Um, and change the
00:54:57dynamic of that team. So,
00:54:59but it's really close. Like
00:55:01this team and they took
00:55:03everything serious. Everyone
00:55:04be like, well, the Atlanta
00:55:05was a seven game series. It
00:55:07was, but it was a really
00:55:08lopsided seven game series.
00:55:09Like they won the four
00:55:10games by like an average of
00:55:1223 points or something like
00:55:13that. Uh, and yeah, maybe
00:55:15they played with their
00:55:16stupidly lost games on the
00:55:17road. They shouldn't have,
00:55:19but they were just, you
00:55:21knew that team. I mean,
00:55:23that team was destined to
00:55:24win the championship with
00:55:24almost no doubt the whole
00:55:26way through there. There
00:55:27were, there were, there
00:55:28weren't really many moments
00:55:29in the season where you're
00:55:30like, I don't know if they
00:55:31have it. They obviously had
00:55:33it relative to the league.
00:55:35They have their doubt only
00:55:37because the, the core has
00:55:39failed before and not the,
00:55:40you know, you've seen
00:55:41Tatum and Brown come up
00:55:42short before. And that was
00:55:45stuck in people's minds
00:55:46where that was the first
00:55:47time you'd ever seen these
00:55:48guys together. And it was
00:55:49like, this is the best
00:55:50thing I've ever seen. And
00:55:51they really changed the
00:55:52NBA, that team, you know,
00:55:53like, you know, just with
00:55:54the whole, like get with,
00:55:56you know, the big three
00:55:56sort of situation and load
00:55:58up on, you know, front load
00:55:59talent and have all of
00:56:00these stars there. But it's,
00:56:02it's really close. It's
00:56:03really close, you know, and
00:56:04then 86 is 86, 86 was the
00:56:06most dominant thing I've
00:56:07ever seen in my life. They,
00:56:08not only would they win,
00:56:09they toyed with people. It
00:56:11was like prime Pedro
00:56:12Martinez. Like it was like
00:56:14what I just, you can't
00:56:16wrap around children. John's
00:56:18going to tell us about 1986.
00:56:20I mean, 86 was ridiculous.
00:56:22Dude, they went 40 and one
00:56:23at home 41. I mean, they
00:56:27were, they absolutely toyed
00:56:30with people. It was a joke.
00:56:32That team was so good. So
00:56:33yes. I mean, of all time,
00:56:35no, 86 is all time, but
00:56:37this is close to the 2018.
00:56:38Yeah. I thought it was good
00:56:39to come. Good to compare a
00:56:40little bit more recent than
00:56:42it is to go, you know, go
00:56:43back to the, I mean, those
00:56:44are the three standards of
00:56:45anybody, you know, around
00:56:47you have those, the last
00:56:48wave of anything that
00:56:49anyone, you know, whatever,
00:56:50if you're, you know, 40s or
00:56:52beyond the 80s, that 86 team
00:56:54was always, that's in the
00:56:55conversation with the Jordan
00:56:57bulls and the, uh, and the
00:56:5872 win warrior, you know,
00:56:59the, those warriors teams
00:57:01as greatest of all time. So
00:57:02it's impossible to not
00:57:03include that in a
00:57:04conversation. Shout out
00:57:05Kenyon. Yeah. Getting
00:57:07himself an 86 jacket. There
00:57:08you go. Yeah. So it's hard
00:57:10not to, but obviously the
00:57:11more recent. Yeah. I think
00:57:13it's close. I think it's
00:57:14close. Thank you, Jason.
00:57:15Very much. Um, we love, uh,
00:57:18having you guys. We really
00:57:19do. Uh, here in the chat,
00:57:21uh, we have Luca and kid.
00:57:23This is slugged Luca and
00:57:24kid crying. I can't wait to
00:57:26see this. Oh, it's about
00:57:28this. Well, it's about the
00:57:30phone. You could cries
00:57:31nonstop. They called a
00:57:33foul. I was stuck. I had to
00:57:37challenge it. So every
00:57:42challenge, cause it was a
00:57:43close call. The referee
00:57:46called it a foul. Tim
00:57:50McMahon, ESPN. Uh, Luca,
00:57:52what did you think of the
00:57:53whistles that went against
00:57:54you in the fourth quarter?
00:57:57Data. I mean, I don't know.
00:58:01Uh, we couldn't play
00:58:03physical. So, uh, no, I
00:58:07don't want to say nothing,
00:58:09but you know, six fall in
00:58:12the NBA finals where I
00:58:14basically, I'm like this.
00:58:17Come on, man. Better than
00:58:19that. Boohoo. The refs
00:58:23didn't let Luca play
00:58:24physical. I'll say this.
00:58:26It was marginal. Um, and
00:58:28it's a tough call to make
00:58:29there. But the problem is
00:58:30when the guys hit the deck
00:58:32and then the ball goes
00:58:33loose, if you call nothing,
00:58:34you're just giving Dallas
00:58:35the ball. So it's a really
00:58:36tough thing to not whistle
00:58:37it. If you think that
00:58:38there's contact there, they
00:58:40looked at it, they thought
00:58:41there was, what are you
00:58:42going to do? This isn't an
00:58:43out of bounds thing where
00:58:44you don't have an angle to
00:58:46see if it really went out
00:58:47of bounds or not. This is
00:58:48simply, um, when you slow
00:58:50things down, you really
00:58:52see if there's enough
00:58:53contact there to justify
00:58:55it or not. It's not, they
00:58:58looked at it. They thought
00:58:59there was, I thought it
00:59:00was close. I thought Brown
00:59:01was going to get called
00:59:02with the chicken wing
00:59:03there. I thought that
00:59:04hurt his cause because he
00:59:05stuck that out a little
00:59:05bit. The problem for Luca
00:59:08is he can't move. He can't
00:59:11move. And Jalen is super
00:59:13athletic. I mean, it, it
00:59:15was the absolute perfect
00:59:16storm for him to be called
00:59:17for a foul. You can't move.
00:59:19The guy that's attacking
00:59:21you can move is faster than
00:59:23you is quicker than you.
00:59:24You're going to have a
00:59:25hard time standing in
00:59:26front of it. Uh, and, and
00:59:27Luca, again, pardon. I
00:59:30thought they let him play
00:59:31way more physical than I
00:59:33thought I expected to see.
00:59:35Uh, and you look at this
00:59:36game, there were 17 fouls
00:59:38called against, uh, Dallas
00:59:39and 19 against the
00:59:40Southeast. Uh, and I didn't
00:59:42think anyone was getting a
00:59:44major generous whistle one
00:59:46way or the other. I thought
00:59:47they were missing calls
00:59:48both ways. I thought they
00:59:49were, you know, making a
00:59:50few calls. He probably
00:59:51didn't have to make both
00:59:52ways. It was a perfect, it
00:59:54was a, to me, it was an
00:59:55inconsistently consistent
00:59:57officiated game. Uh, I
00:59:58didn't think either team
00:59:59had a significant
01:00:00advantage. And if we're
01:00:01being honest again, Luca
01:00:03can't defend. This is not
01:00:05what you do.
01:00:06Defend Jackson. Give me
01:00:07that clip, Bobby.
01:00:10He's your worst defender.
01:00:15He's your worst defender.
01:00:18Oh, we'll get him to say
01:00:19that. We'll get him to say
01:00:20that tonight for sure.
01:00:22Bobby, Bobby and Joe sway
01:00:23coming on later. What's up
01:00:24with them? They around
01:00:28Marinowski. He's in the
01:00:29building. I had to join. I
01:00:32had to join just too good,
01:00:34a too good of an
01:00:34opportunity to pass up.
01:00:35You're the same guy who
01:00:36just asked us to explain
01:00:37it in hockey terms. I am.
01:00:39Yeah, I am. You're going
01:00:41to hear some terrible
01:00:42analysis for me. People
01:00:43might even know who I am
01:00:44on this. So, you know, he
01:00:46was just walking by John.
01:00:47You're muted. I think.
01:00:49What a small story. One day
01:00:52we were doing the garden
01:00:53report and a guy named
01:00:54Sherrod Blakely was in our
01:00:55chat and I was like,
01:00:56Sherrod, is that actually
01:00:57you? And he's like, yeah,
01:00:58I was like, join. And I
01:00:59sent him a link and he
01:01:00joined and then he never
01:01:01left. He's been on ever
01:01:03since. I don't know about
01:01:05me. I don't, I don't know.
01:01:06I don't think I haven't
01:01:06joined the chat. I haven't
01:01:08joined the chat. I said,
01:01:09hey, jump on the show.
01:01:10Evan is a host of the
01:01:12Bruins beat podcast and
01:01:13someone who does Bruins
01:01:14coverage for CLNS, the
01:01:15Bruins postgame show,
01:01:16which did great, by the
01:01:18way. Yeah. Why don't you
01:01:20give us your little
01:01:21hockey, hockey minded
01:01:23take on the Celtics here?
01:01:24Yeah. Your little cute
01:01:26hockey take. Your little
01:01:27cute hockey take. Little
01:01:29cute hands in. Well, my
01:01:30favorite thing was I was
01:01:31at a hockey game actually
01:01:33out in Foxborough. Do
01:01:34they shake hands at the
01:01:35end? They should shake
01:01:37hands in the NBA. They
01:01:38should. When LeBron runs
01:01:40off the court, you know,
01:01:41like they do enough of
01:01:42that. They do enough of
01:01:43that stuff. Like every
01:01:45single game. They don't
01:01:46wait till the end of the
01:01:46playoffs. Uh, but I was
01:01:49listening to Cedric and
01:01:50Matt, uh, Cedric and Max,
01:01:51uh, Max and Grandy, uh, on
01:01:54the way home and they are
01:01:56electric. I had never
01:01:57really listened to that.
01:01:58I'd never been in the car
01:01:59for a Celtics game. They
01:02:00were outstanding, but I
01:02:01walked in the door to a
01:02:02house full of people, uh,
01:02:03watching the Celtics. I
01:02:05was like, it's over. It's
01:02:06done. This game is over.
01:02:07It was the end of the third
01:02:08quarter. And then the fourth
01:02:09quarter happened and they
01:02:10were like, you need to leave
01:02:11your own home. Um, so that
01:02:12was that, uh, you were the
01:02:16guy who made that happen.
01:02:17Okay. I was, I was the
01:02:18reason they went on like a
01:02:1920 to two run or whatever
01:02:20it was. Um, they're nasty.
01:02:22I mean, like, they're just,
01:02:23they're absurd. Like there's
01:02:25no, they're so deep.
01:02:26They're so fun to watch.
01:02:27This is like, they're
01:02:28almost playing like Bruins
01:02:30hockey and that they're so
01:02:31good defensively and
01:02:32they're deep, but they, at
01:02:33least they win. So that's
01:02:34the big, the Bruins last
01:02:36didn't fall on their face
01:02:37in the first round and
01:02:38ruined it. That was my
01:02:40worry. Uh, and that first
01:02:41round against the heat that
01:02:42there would be a little bit
01:02:43of that, but, uh, uh, no
01:02:45Luke, I'm, I'm basically a
01:02:47kid, so I don't know.
01:02:51That's a Joe Missoula
01:02:52private joke. Oh, well, I
01:02:53don't know all the jokes,
01:02:54but John used to say it
01:02:55looked like I was 11 years
01:02:56old and I don't think
01:02:57that's true. That's okay.
01:02:59I'm like 13 and you're 11.
01:03:01John's like, well, we won't
01:03:02go there, but yeah.
01:03:03Someone said hockey is
01:03:04dumb and for animals.
01:03:05That's where we disagree.
01:03:07That's who said that
01:03:09somebody mean in the chat,
01:03:10just the chat. You need to
01:03:12know that the chat, they
01:03:14can be, they can be nice,
01:03:15but they can also be very
01:03:16hurtful. They've said to
01:03:20me, they're mainly hurtful
01:03:22to me, but sometimes, but
01:03:25sometimes to strangers I'll
01:03:26take shrapnel. Yeah.
01:03:27There's no way that
01:03:28Mavs win game four, right?
01:03:30Like they're dead. This
01:03:31team is dead. Luca is as
01:03:33bad. Uh, you know, I mean,
01:03:35this is like ridiculous.
01:03:36They're not, it should be
01:03:38over. There always is that
01:03:40like, just not show up and
01:03:43somehow the Mavs figure it
01:03:44out. But I don't know this,
01:03:45this Lucas, I mean, this
01:03:46is basically our Lucas
01:03:48team, but this Mavs team,
01:03:50this had to just be gut
01:03:52punch to them. I don't, I
01:03:53mean, there's only one day
01:03:55off. I don't even think
01:03:56they have time to come back
01:03:57from it. Really? I really
01:03:58don't. And Kyrie what? Oh,
01:04:00Kyrie is going to lead them
01:04:01back of all people. Kyrie
01:04:03is going to be like the
01:04:04heart and soul guy. Give me
01:04:06a break. He's still on his
01:04:07PR tour. I think that he was
01:04:08on when he came to Boston,
01:04:10showed up tonight, but this
01:04:12has been more of a PR world
01:04:14tour for Kyrie, I think in
01:04:15the NBA finals. At the end
01:04:17of the day, he's got to
01:04:18play. You got to win. I
01:04:20don't give a damn how you
01:04:21spend, you know, the
01:04:22relationship with the
01:04:23Celtics and, and how all is
01:04:25forgiven and the fans under
01:04:26your head when a damn game
01:04:28do. This is a pretty good
01:04:29comment. No DM, no DM
01:04:36dodged. Exactly. Oh, by the
01:04:39way, I forgot to tell you
01:04:40guys, I saw Derek White at
01:04:41Fenway a couple of weeks
01:04:42ago and I was so sure I took
01:04:45a picture. I was so, I, you
01:04:46know how you think about
01:04:47the best comments after
01:04:49you're done? Uh, like in
01:04:51that moment, you're like,
01:04:52oh, I should have said
01:04:52that. I was so pissed. I
01:04:54didn't say I loved you on
01:04:55the garden report. I was
01:04:56so mad. I didn't think of
01:04:59that in the moment until
01:05:00after I was so pissed, but
01:05:01unbelievable. I loved him
01:05:02on the garden report. He
01:05:03was great. Yeah, we, it was
01:05:05great. We've had a few guys
01:05:07pop on here. You might be
01:05:08the biggest celeb we've had
01:05:09so far, but we've had, Oh,
01:05:12Oh, I bet. I bet. Yeah.
01:05:13Nobody's bigger than me.
01:05:14Just be careful because now
01:05:16guess what's going to
01:05:16happen. I'm going to pop on
01:05:17for a Bruins post game.
01:05:19You're more than welcome.
01:05:20God, my pop on for one who
01:05:22knows where it just happened
01:05:23to be on YouTube, which is
01:05:26often, I've won a post game.
01:05:28I've done them all. I've
01:05:29done them all. He's done up.
01:05:30John is a legend with
01:05:31Bruins post game. My favorite
01:05:32is a charade from fantasy or
01:05:35fantasy football group. He
01:05:36just lets us lose every week.
01:05:38And my favorite thing is one
01:05:39of his students freelanced
01:05:40for new England hockey journal
01:05:42with us and was talking about
01:05:43going to be you. And she
01:05:44goes, Oh, professor Blakely.
01:05:45And I mean, I said, you mean
01:05:47a charade Blakely. It was
01:05:53Bell. Yeah. Bell does
01:05:54terrific work for us at the
01:05:55hockey journal. She's
01:05:56awesome. So you're, you're,
01:05:58you're, you're, you're, you're
01:05:59turning them out. Yeah. So
01:06:01Evan, before, before, before
01:06:03we boot you, because we got
01:06:04to bring on Bobby and just
01:06:05wait, give us your take here.
01:06:07Is this, is this a, is this a
01:06:09Brown MVP series? Is this a,
01:06:13is this a Tatum? Does Tatum
01:06:14sneak it through? Is it a
01:06:16dark horse candidate? It's
01:06:18Brown. It's got to be Jalen
01:06:20Brown. It has to be. I don't,
01:06:21I, you know, Drew is awesome.
01:06:23But I think Jalen is the, is
01:06:25the pick here. It's Brown.
01:06:27It's Brown. And who gets more
01:06:29who's we were saying here,
01:06:32because Tatum, if he hadn't
01:06:33had a good game, it could
01:06:35have been this strange thing
01:06:36where the irony of Jason Tatum
01:06:38being dogged for not having
01:06:40won it yet as the thing
01:06:41holding back his career. And
01:06:42if he ended up having a, a
01:06:44mid final series that he, his
01:06:48stock might've actually gone
01:06:49down after winning it rather
01:06:50than up because everyone
01:06:52would have said, Oh, well,
01:06:53they won in spite of him,
01:06:54which isn't the right take,
01:06:55but still you have to explain
01:06:57it to people why he was
01:06:58playing well, but the stats
01:07:00didn't show up. And some of
01:07:01the national narratives would
01:07:02have gone in that direction.
01:07:03Now, Luka Doncic who took the
01:07:06Mavs beyond where anybody
01:07:08thought he should go might be
01:07:10that guy who's going to catch
01:07:11a lot of heat. And this is a
01:07:11guy who's scoring 30 points a
01:07:13game here in the finals, but
01:07:14he's getting, people are
01:07:16finally starting to realize
01:07:18that like, Oh, defense
01:07:19matters a little bit. So he's
01:07:21taking some, he's taking some
01:07:22hits here. They were better
01:07:24defensively. I thought the
01:07:25Mavs when he, when he followed
01:07:27out, like I, they were like,
01:07:29this might actually hurt the
01:07:30Celtics cause they can't, they
01:07:31couldn't score before. And now
01:07:34yeah, there's going to be a
01:07:35better defensive lineup out
01:07:36there without Luca. I was, I
01:07:38was actually a little worried
01:07:39there. He's the traffic cone.
01:07:42And I also think, but again, I
01:07:43mean, I don't think his, I
01:07:44don't think his teammates have
01:07:45been great around him finishing
01:07:46plays and stuff. That's my
01:07:47hockey tapes. That's my hockey.
01:07:49They suck. And there's nobody
01:07:51good around Luca except
01:07:52tonight. It was Kyrie. But
01:07:54other than that, he sucks. Oh,
01:07:56he sucks. He's the worst. He's
01:07:58the worst, but he did show up
01:07:59tonight. Other than that, I
01:08:01don't know how this Mavs team
01:08:03even made the playoffs based on
01:08:04what I'm looking at. I really
01:08:05don't. I really don't. I'm not
01:08:06just saying that before you go
01:08:08Evan, how clean is this? It's
01:08:11so sick. I saw you post the
01:08:12video about that. And I was
01:08:14like, that is awesome. It's
01:08:14sort of like, cause uh, aren't
01:08:16you the, aren't you cousins
01:08:17with the founder of fanatics
01:08:19been addicts? Like the little
01:08:21entrepreneurial. So this is
01:08:23awesome. Olivia, no teeny
01:08:25shout out fanatics, not fun
01:08:27addicts. Big difference. No,
01:08:28no big difference. We hate fun
01:08:30addicts. We love fanatics. We
01:08:32love fanatics, but shout out
01:08:34fanatics. Find them on
01:08:35Instagram. They do a lot of
01:08:36stuff. Uh, great white sharks
01:08:38type stuff like that. So yeah,
01:08:40we're saving the sharks. We're
01:08:42about saving. How did you know
01:08:43that? Cause she wants, she was
01:08:45in my journalism class at
01:08:46UMass. And she said, Oh, like
01:08:48you're with CLNS. So is my
01:08:49cousin, Jimmy Toscano. And I
01:08:50was like, boom, great. So the
01:08:52big thing is it's
01:08:53entrepreneurial. It's
01:08:54entrepreneurial with the
01:08:55heart. It's, I love it. They
01:08:56look clean. I wish I had one.
01:08:57They're doing it. We might be
01:08:59able to think about a Bruins
01:09:01hard hat. Maybe we might be
01:09:02able to talk about it. We'll,
01:09:03we'll think they need to get
01:09:04past the second round to start
01:09:06getting the hard hat going. I
01:09:07think we got it. We got to earn
01:09:09the hard hat. That's the thing.
01:09:10But if we'll guys, thank you
01:09:12for having me on and keep
01:09:13you. Congratulations to you.
01:09:14You guys are awesome at this
01:09:16and you guys have built
01:09:17something amazing. So, um, I'm
01:09:19glad that you guys are seeing
01:09:19it through and the Celtics
01:09:20about to win the championship
01:09:21and you guys deserve it. We
01:09:23might deserve it, but you know
01:09:24what? Don't sleep on Bruins
01:09:25post game. Don't sleep on the
01:09:26Bruins next year because they
01:09:28got some money to spend and
01:09:29they're going to be back. Uh,
01:09:31and, and Evan, that post game
01:09:33sneaky got some pretty damn
01:09:36good viewers coming out of
01:09:37nowhere. So look for that
01:09:38again next year when the
01:09:39Bruins get to this point, it'd
01:09:40be nice to take both of these
01:09:41things deep, deep, deep into,
01:09:43uh, into, into, you know, late
01:09:46may in early slash mid June
01:09:48runs. Yeah. So let's do that.
01:09:51It would be nice. A lot of
01:09:53people don't know that. I did
01:09:54not know that. So that is
01:09:56awesome. I'm in it. That is
01:09:57awesome. Evan Marinovsky, you
01:09:59can catch him at the New
01:09:59England hockey journal. Um,
01:10:01where he, where he plies his
01:10:03trade, but also contributing
01:10:05all sorts of Bruins related
01:10:06content to CLNS media,
01:10:07including Bruins beat podcast.
01:10:09And he's popping on a series,
01:10:11a host of other podcasts,
01:10:12Bruins related podcasts on the
01:10:14CLNS media network. He is the
01:10:16Bruins as far as CLNS media
01:10:17network is concerned. Even if
01:10:19he won't come back and work
01:10:20for me full time, even though
01:10:21I beg him, but that's okay.
01:10:23All right. I will. Thank you
01:10:26guys. I'll go back to playing
01:10:27MLB the show. We'll see. We'll
01:10:28see you all later. Anyway,
01:10:31that's Evan. Great guy. One of
01:10:32the great, one of the great
01:10:33fine. We'll keep him. He's
01:10:36another great find that we've
01:10:38had at CLNS. We've, we've been
01:10:39really lucky and blessed to be
01:10:41able to bring in some like
01:10:43young talent who gets it and
01:10:46like grows themselves into
01:10:48like, you know, into, you know,
01:10:50into butterflies, into real
01:10:51boys. Yeah. Into, you know,
01:10:53into, into grownups. And it's
01:10:54great.
01:11:05We're waiting again on Joe
01:11:06sway and Bobby who for some
01:11:08reason need to listen to every
01:11:10last drop of sound before they
01:11:12jump on this show. It's a, it's
01:11:13an hour and 15 minutes into it,
01:11:15but again, we're going to move
01:11:18on to game four here is what's
01:11:21more likely to happen. Celtics
01:11:23boredom or Matt or Mavericks
01:11:25giving up Mavericks, even though
01:11:27yeah, Mavericks, even though,
01:11:30what do you think Jimmy? What
01:11:32was the first option? Celtics
01:11:34boredom and coasting slash. Hey,
01:11:36maybe we should win it at home,
01:11:37which I think is risky as fuck.
01:11:39I don't like it. I'll tell you
01:11:40why. I do think every game is
01:11:42closer to a coin flip without
01:11:44Porzingis, even though I do
01:11:45believe the Celtics are better.
01:11:46So winning four straight is
01:11:50really hard to do. But if every
01:11:52game is a fifth, not quite a
01:11:5450, 50 ball, but close where
01:11:56you got to really play any let
01:11:58up on any of those puts you in a
01:12:00position to potentially lose.
01:12:01And I don't want to see, I don't
01:12:02want to see them give, give up
01:12:03any of them personally. So I
01:12:05think they're too focused to,
01:12:07um, to tonight, impress the hell
01:12:09out of me just because you took
01:12:10that early punch, you came back.
01:12:12It was a one point game after
01:12:13one. And, and it, it continued
01:12:16from there. Um, and then, and
01:12:18then it, like I said, they came
01:12:19out of the third quarter and
01:12:21they just looked so focused on
01:12:24tat. I don't see them letting
01:12:25up, but you know, I don't know.
01:12:27I'm picturing a similar vibe to
01:12:28game three where the Mavericks
01:12:30come out, they give you like a
01:12:31punch and then the Celtics just
01:12:33overwhelm them. I don't see a
01:12:34fourth quarter comeback in the
01:12:35Mavericks in game four. Like I
01:12:37think of the Celtics go up by
01:12:3820 points like they did in this
01:12:40one. I think that's, you know,
01:12:42the end of it for the Mavericks.
01:12:43Yeah, exactly. Down, down,
01:12:45double digits, you know, Oh
01:12:47three in a series. Like at some
01:12:49point, like you just need to be
01:12:50brought out, brought out back
01:12:52and just put down. I hate to, I
01:12:53hate to say it that way, but
01:12:54let's be real. Um, and I think
01:12:57the Celtics, I think they have,
01:12:58they still feel like they have
01:12:59something to prove they're up
01:13:00three Oh, but they want
01:13:01everybody to know this isn't a
01:13:03mistake. Everybody else was
01:13:05wrong. They knew what they had.
01:13:07They were going to just murder
01:13:08teams, just boom, boom, boom,
01:13:10boom, boom, boom. What is that
01:13:11going to be 11 in a row? If they
01:13:12do that, not three in a row or
01:13:14four in a row, John, they're
01:13:15going to end up winning like 11
01:13:16straight games here. And these
01:13:18aren't just against joke teams.
01:13:20These are teams in the playoffs.
01:13:21Yeah. Could be missing a guy
01:13:23here, a guy there, but the Mavs
01:13:25are healthy and they're putting
01:13:26in work against them. And it's
01:13:27not close. I know the score was
01:13:29close tonight, but talent level,
01:13:30you can, you can clearly see a
01:13:33team that's straight up the best
01:13:36team in the league. And so I
01:13:37think it happens Friday night.
01:13:38And I think the Celtics want to
01:13:40make a statement that, yeah, we
01:13:42swept their asses. You all suck.
01:13:45We're the best. We're going home
01:13:46to celebrate. And that's just
01:13:47what's going to happen. Yeah.
01:13:49And we can hopefully put it in
01:13:50and we can hopefully just, just
01:13:53close the book on the whole
01:13:54Kyrie chapter. Well, speaking of
01:13:56which, let's hear Kyrie. You
01:13:58want to close the chapter? Let's
01:13:59hear Kyrie Jackson. What are we
01:14:01about to listen to? Sad Kyrie,
01:14:03somber voice, Kyrie. Sage Kyrie.
01:14:06It's going to have something to
01:14:07say. Hopeful Kyrie. Hopeful
01:14:10Kyrie is boring. Now we're going
01:14:11to hear on Tillman. Tillman be a
01:14:13frigging awesome. Yeah, man. I
01:14:16just really think about going
01:14:17home and just, uh, you know,
01:14:19this is a metaphor here. So, uh,
01:14:21just be ready to go home and get
01:14:23the ammo ready. Get the bazooka,
01:14:26get the 50 cal ready, you know,
01:14:27get everything ready. Cause it's,
01:14:28you know, when we come into game
01:14:30four, we know that we got to
01:14:31shoot our gun. We got to shoot
01:14:32our shots and we got to do it
01:14:33with an aggression. And
01:14:35defensively, we got to continue
01:14:37to do the things that, um,
01:14:38creates that separation for us.
01:14:40Um, you know, when we're playing
01:14:42against them, they shoot a lot
01:14:43of tough threes. They really rely
01:14:45on their three point shot to
01:14:47create that separation for
01:14:48themselves offensively to play
01:14:49with a comfortability. But, um,
01:14:51you know, we just got to stay
01:14:52positive. And, you know, for me
01:14:53personally, again, I'm just
01:14:54going home, just, you know,
01:14:56dusting off the tools and just
01:14:57getting ready for, you know,
01:14:59tough game four.
01:15:03And dusting off the tools. I
01:15:06mean, what are you building a
01:15:07dog house? You just stole a KG
01:15:09quote and tried to make it like
01:15:11his own.
01:15:12Well, what I'll say is I'm also,
01:15:14I think I've had enough of
01:15:16watching and listening to Kyrie
01:15:18act like he wants you to think
01:15:20everything is normal and cool.
01:15:23Um, it's anything but that.
01:15:25It's not even watching him.
01:15:26Have you ever, have you ever
01:15:28sensed any urgency from him,
01:15:30this entire finals, any, like
01:15:33anything at all after these
01:15:34losses?
01:15:35No, because he's not in the
01:15:37finals, Jimmy. He's in the,
01:15:38he's in the, he's in the
01:15:40rehabilitation of Kyrie Irving
01:15:42documentary, um, that he, that
01:15:44he's, that he's starring in
01:15:46right now, uh, which seems to
01:15:47supersede basketball, uh, at
01:15:49this point. But, you know, he
01:15:51was, he was classic Kyrie in the
01:15:53sense that he does have an
01:15:55insane amount of talent and
01:15:56he's a difficult shot maker and
01:15:57he made him tonight just
01:15:58watching him go through his
01:16:00motions of all of the stuff.
01:16:02And, you know, it's just
01:16:05whatever it is.
01:16:05What it is.
01:16:06He was good.
01:16:06I hope he was really good
01:16:08tonight, but that's, I mean,
01:16:09you're really good and you still
01:16:11lost. Uh, so this whole, the
01:16:13whole concept that, well, if
01:16:15Kyrie plays a little bit better
01:16:16than they've got a shot at
01:16:17winning, yeah, they got a shot
01:16:18at winning.
01:16:18Well, they did.
01:16:19It happened tonight.
01:16:21They shot their, I mean, he
01:16:22talks about, you know, come back
01:16:23for game four, you know, you
01:16:24got to shoot the shot that
01:16:25happened already.
01:16:26That ship is sailed and it ain't
01:16:28coming back around the Harbor.
01:16:30It's a wrap.
01:16:31Everything happened that
01:16:32Dallas needed to happen for
01:16:34them to win and make a series of
01:16:36it. And they didn't in either
01:16:37case.
01:16:38And that included a Celtics
01:16:40abysmal shooting night in game
01:16:42two abysmal.
01:16:44And that's the one you're
01:16:44supposed to win.
01:16:45Then you got your 65 point, you
01:16:48know, uh, whatever it was, you
01:16:51know, uh, uh, game from, from,
01:16:55uh, from Kyrie and Luca and
01:16:58Porzingis didn't play and he
01:16:59didn't win that one either.
01:17:00So you're just, you're out at
01:17:01your, there's, there's no Trump
01:17:03cards left in the deck at this
01:17:04point.
01:17:05No, there's not.
01:17:06There's not.
01:17:06But I lost, I lost my, I lost my
01:17:09X-Men guys.
01:17:10I need it back.
01:17:11Oh, I had X-Men.
01:17:12I wanted, I had a bite from him.
01:17:15That's okay.
01:17:16That's okay.
01:17:17We'll get them.
01:17:17We'll get them back.
01:17:18X-Men deserves, deserves his
01:17:20shine on the show tonight.
01:17:21Absolutely.
01:17:22And I, I only, I'm almost going
01:17:25to do apology camp almost.
01:17:27I'm not going to, but I was
01:17:28pretty critical of Tillman at
01:17:30one point.
01:17:31I think it was back in, um,
01:17:32the last series, I didn't
01:17:33forget where it was now, but he
01:17:34just didn't look, he didn't
01:17:35look like he was, he was in
01:17:38playing shape really well.
01:17:39Is it bad to say I'm proud of
01:17:41him?
01:17:42Like, I can be proud of people.
01:17:44You can be proud of people.
01:17:45I really, because again, it's,
01:17:47it's a really tough spot and it
01:17:49showed in the first stint a
01:17:50little bit, right?
01:17:51Because he, he's, he's rusty and
01:17:53Jimmy, Jimmy, you, you texted us
01:17:55in our, in our group chat.
01:17:57That's why you play.
01:17:58That's why you, that's why Joe
01:17:59probably, probably, probably
01:18:01That's why you, that's why Joe
01:18:02probably over the last 30 games
01:18:04should have given more
01:18:05consistent run to these guys
01:18:06with starters, you know, just to
01:18:09get them into it.
01:18:10I might've just done a game where
01:18:11Al sits and Tillman plays all his
01:18:14minutes, you know, 26 minutes,
01:18:16Al minutes, and just do that.
01:18:18Cause what if you have to do
01:18:19that?
01:18:20And that's how you get used to
01:18:21them in those types of rotations.
01:18:22What if you need to do that?
01:18:24Um, and they didn't enough of
01:18:26guys who you thought could
01:18:28potentially be useful, like a
01:18:29preset, like a Tillman, you know,
01:18:31where you want to dust them off
01:18:32and you can use them in certain
01:18:33matchups at times, I think you
01:18:35should have found more
01:18:36opportunities to, but to his
01:18:38credit, he frigging did it, man.
01:18:40And this guy's been awesome to
01:18:41watch and follow during the
01:18:42finals, just his attitude, the
01:18:45way he deals with it.
01:18:46He's not sitting there thinking
01:18:47like, Hey man, I've played in
01:18:48the playoffs before.
01:18:49I should be here.
01:18:50That's not how he is at all about
01:18:52it.
01:18:52He really is like, when you talk
01:18:54about stay ready crew, he's like
01:18:56the spiritual leader of the stay
01:18:59right.
01:18:59Like he's so clearly I'm ready
01:19:01whenever called upon.
01:19:02And when you put me in, I'm
01:19:03going to be ready to go and I'm
01:19:04going to do my job and he just
01:19:06does it and he's been great.
01:19:07So here he is talking about his
01:19:09performance tonight.
01:19:10The emotions that you felt in
01:19:11that moment when you saw that
01:19:12shot go in the bench, go crazy.
01:19:14And what are you feeling?
01:19:15No action.
01:19:16Look how happy he is.
01:19:17I knew that when I saw Maxi
01:19:19Cleaver go to the, to the block
01:19:21that I was going to shoot
01:19:22regardless of anything.
01:19:23Oh, it's about his three.
01:19:24Um, and then, you know, their
01:19:25bench was talking, so it was
01:19:26kind of cool to be able to hit
01:19:27it and look at the bench as
01:19:28well.
01:19:29Um, but to hear, you know, the
01:19:31bench going crazy on our end,
01:19:33you know, guys like Sfi and
01:19:34O'Shea and stuff like that.
01:19:35Um, it was pretty awesome
01:19:38because those are my guys, you
01:19:39know, those are my SRG guys
01:19:40each day in and day out.
01:19:41We, we go to war with each
01:19:42other to try to better each
01:19:43other, to be ready for whoever's
01:19:45name is called.
01:19:45So for them to celebrate me and
01:19:47be hype for me, it's pretty
01:19:48true.
01:19:48It's pretty cool.
01:19:51They were fired.
01:19:53They were fired.
01:19:53He just gets it.
01:19:54That's what I mean.
01:19:55That was such a moment.
01:19:56We were like, Adam was out of
01:19:57the bench too.
01:19:58He was fired up for it.
01:19:59Yeah.
01:20:00I mean, that's, and that's how
01:20:01you know that the team, that's
01:20:03like good vibes, you know,
01:20:04obviously it's good vibes,
01:20:05right.
01:20:06You know, in that situation,
01:20:07but they're close, they're
01:20:08close team.
01:20:09It's if you get that feeling,
01:20:10you know, I mean, you guys are
01:20:12around it more than I am, but
01:20:13that's the feeling I get from
01:20:15watching anyways, that these
01:20:16guys are, are all fans of each
01:20:18other and support each other.
01:20:19And when one of the guys gets
01:20:21the call from the bench, whether
01:20:22it's Tillman or Luke or, you
01:20:25know, Hauser, they're fired up
01:20:27when those guys go in and
01:20:28they're effective.
01:20:29Like they're all very happy for
01:20:30each other.
01:20:33Yeah.
01:20:33Tillman's also gone through some
01:20:35some personal things recently
01:20:36where I'm sure, you know, this
01:20:37is a huge, huge moment for him
01:20:39and an otherwise pretty tough
01:20:40time.
01:20:41Yeah.
01:20:42The thing you said earlier,
01:20:43Jimmy, you do get that feeling
01:20:45is like there's no ego beyond
01:20:48like you've got a good, I mean,
01:20:49it's pretty well established.
01:20:51You've got the six and then you
01:20:53had the rest of the rotation
01:20:54that was pretty set and they
01:20:55knew what they were getting
01:20:56with, you know, with, with
01:20:58Hauser and Pritchard and then
01:20:59even Cornette getting his
01:21:00minutes, Cornette's the same
01:21:02dude, whether he plays zero
01:21:03minutes or 20 minutes, just
01:21:05happy.
01:21:05He's still a goofball on the
01:21:06bench.
01:21:07They're having a good time.
01:21:08Nobody here has enough ego
01:21:10sitting there thinking, I need
01:21:11my minutes.
01:21:12And honestly, like that's an
01:21:13underrated thing about a top
01:21:15caliber team.
01:21:17Everyone looks, everyone's
01:21:18always looking to bring in a guy
01:21:21to like bolster them.
01:21:22And you start to get greedy
01:21:24around like trade deadlines and
01:21:25stuff and you start to suggest
01:21:26like, why don't we get, who was
01:21:28the center they wanted from
01:21:29Toronto, um, that Bobby wanted
01:21:32really bad for getting here.
01:21:35I know who you're talking about.
01:21:36But anyway, you can't bring in
01:21:38guys who are used to playing 35
01:21:41minutes somewhere and tell them
01:21:43you're going to play
01:21:4310 or 12 here.
01:21:44Was it Pirtle?
01:21:44Pirtle.
01:21:45Was it Pirtle?
01:21:46Pirtle.
01:21:46Yeah.
01:21:47Pirtle.
01:21:47Yacob.
01:21:48San Antonio.
01:21:49Yeah.
01:21:49Um, you can't bring in guys who
01:21:52are used to starting and playing
01:21:5325, 30, 35 minutes and say
01:21:55you're going to play 10 or 12
01:21:57because that's all I need you to
01:21:58do here.
01:21:59They're going to be like,
01:21:59especially guys in contract is
01:22:00like, no, I don't want to do
01:22:02that.
01:22:03I want to do something else.
01:22:04Like, so you need your, you need
01:22:07your seven, eight, nine guys to
01:22:08be seven, eight, nine guys, you
01:22:10know, and just be happy with 10,
01:22:1212, 15 minutes.
01:22:13And they are, that's who they
01:22:14are.
01:22:15I mean, sure.
01:22:16Anybody wants to answer the
01:22:17bell and if they get more time,
01:22:18they get more time, but nobody
01:22:20there is, is, is bitching about
01:22:21it.
01:22:22Um, and so you'd get the sense
01:22:24that every single person knows,
01:22:26appreciates, understands their
01:22:27role, is ready if their number
01:22:28is called, but also isn't going
01:22:30to freak out if it's not so good
01:22:34on them.
01:22:35Um, somebody who is going to
01:22:36answer the bell every single
01:22:37time his number is called Jalen
01:22:39freaking Brown.
01:22:40Here he is talking about stuff.
01:22:42Let me see.
01:22:43Uh, you might even know what it
01:22:44is.
01:22:45Oh, and this is good answering.
01:22:47Well, you know, as they like to
01:22:49do, as they've done a lot,
01:22:50they're answering haters.
01:22:52Hi, haters.
01:22:53Between maybe in past years, you
01:22:55guys, you got the bad ass shades
01:22:57on the night.
01:22:58Very low.
01:22:59Again, let's get this.
01:23:02Let's make place.
01:23:03Let's be the heroes here.
01:23:04I think your experience is the
01:23:05best teacher all year long.
01:23:07We've been hearing about the
01:23:09Celtics of the past, you know,
01:23:11for the last six to eight months.
01:23:13That's all we've been hearing is
01:23:14like, we've, you know, all the
01:23:16different shortcomings we've had
01:23:18in the past.
01:23:18This is no team.
01:23:19You know what I mean?
01:23:20We've learned from those
01:23:21experiences and in these moments
01:23:23you can see that, you know, we
01:23:25didn't run from it.
01:23:25We stepped up to the plate and
01:23:27found a way to win.
01:23:30Damn straight.
01:23:30What is that around his neck?
01:23:32New team, indeed.
01:23:34It doesn't matter, Jimmy.
01:23:35It's cool because Jalen is
01:23:37wearing it.
01:23:37It is.
01:23:38I don't know what we're told.
01:23:40The watch party was full of hard
01:23:41hats here.
01:23:42And speaking of Mark and Melanie
01:23:44bought a hard hat.
01:23:45I know that.
01:23:45So speaking of which, here's
01:23:46what it here's what the factory
01:23:48actually looks like.
01:23:50You guys thought this was a
01:23:51game?
01:23:52This ain't no game.
01:23:53We want to get these out today.
01:23:54So.
01:23:55Yeah.
01:23:55Joe.
01:23:56Damn right you do, Joe.
01:23:58That's a little peek in the lab
01:23:59right there, guys.
01:24:00There's the decals.
01:24:00These aren't just little cheap
01:24:01things.
01:24:04You thought this was a game.
01:24:05Oh, my God.
01:24:06No, it's not a game.
01:24:07Y'all messed up.
01:24:07Y'all messed up.
01:24:08Yeah.
01:24:12All of a sudden they're invading
01:24:13the beauty garden.
01:24:14But you know what's great?
01:24:15The best thing about it is
01:24:16there's nothing more fun.
01:24:18So again, the knock on.
01:24:20They put that hat on gel, so
01:24:22the knock on the Celtics will be
01:24:23like, oh, there's no.
01:24:25Tatum's not the classic star
01:24:27there.
01:24:27Blah, blah, blah.
01:24:28You know what?
01:24:29Teams are fun.
01:24:30Teams are more fun than single
01:24:32players.
01:24:32Watching a team play like a
01:24:34team is great.
01:24:35We'll follow Harden.
01:24:37Yeah.
01:24:37Go have fun.
01:24:38Yeah, exactly.
01:24:39You go.
01:24:39Go be a Mavs fan and watch
01:24:41Lucas shoot thirty five times a
01:24:42game and not play defense like
01:24:44Lucas.
01:24:45Lucas, an amazing offensive
01:24:46talent.
01:24:47Don't get me wrong.
01:24:48He's a very I don't think
01:24:50anyone can do what he does.
01:24:52Socks.
01:24:53It's boring.
01:24:54Like watching a team play team
01:24:55ball when they play it
01:24:56correctly and trying is great.
01:25:00And like this has been this
01:25:02finals has been great for that
01:25:04reason.
01:25:04It really has, you know,
01:25:07and it's it's been refreshing
01:25:09because let's be honest, it's so
01:25:11much better.
01:25:12Our league.
01:25:13Right.
01:25:13It always ends up being, you
01:25:15know, superstars control where
01:25:18they go, who they play with.
01:25:20You know, they end up, you know,
01:25:22making the making.
01:25:23You know, it's all about the
01:25:24superstar.
01:25:24So it's nice.
01:25:25It's nice to get.
01:25:26And sure.
01:25:26You you were reporting for the
01:25:28ultimate team that won.
01:25:30Right.
01:25:30The Pistons back in the early
01:25:332004 was it.
01:25:36And so it's it's few and far
01:25:38between when you get this.
01:25:39Now, again, it's a little bit
01:25:40different, not completely
01:25:41apples to apples, but it is
01:25:44that team mentality.
01:25:45And yeah, Tatum and Brown are
01:25:46superstars.
01:25:47Brown's the highest paper in the
01:25:48NBA and Brown and Tatum's a
01:25:51three three time NBA first team.
01:25:52So let's not act like they don't
01:25:54have stars or superstars, but
01:25:56the way in which they play when
01:25:58they are at their best, it's
01:26:00when they're moving the ball
01:26:00around, when they're making the
01:26:02extra passes, when they're
01:26:03playing defense, it's when
01:26:04they're making those extra
01:26:05passes, the potential assists.
01:26:07It's not when Brown goes off for
01:26:1050 or Tatum goes off for 50 and
01:26:12everyone else is watching and
01:26:13standing around.
01:26:13They're also a super team.
01:26:15So that helps, too.
01:26:17We should make note of that.
01:26:18Yeah, they're playing like a
01:26:19team, John, but how could you
01:26:20not?
01:26:21They've got they've got, you
01:26:22know, six of the best.
01:26:24But it's just what you're used
01:26:25to, right?
01:26:26Yeah, it's what people are used
01:26:27to because you go back in time
01:26:29and you look at it and every
01:26:30single person has had kind of
01:26:31this that uber alpha star when
01:26:35they win it, whether it's Curry
01:26:37or LeBron, you know, like
01:26:39there's always one of those
01:26:40obvious upper echelon top three,
01:26:43top four players on all these
01:26:45teams going back to, you know,
01:26:47a long, long way where you just
01:26:49don't have very many teams that
01:26:51aren't built that way.
01:26:53And so people are just used to
01:26:56used to that thing.
01:26:59Hold on, guys.
01:26:59I'll bring you on in a second.
01:27:01They're used to that.
01:27:03Being what you need to win a
01:27:05championship and not exactly the
01:27:06case here.
01:27:07All right, let's bring on these
01:27:08guys here, Bobby and all these
01:27:11guys.
01:27:12All right, guys, we've got two
01:27:12minutes and 48 seconds after
01:27:14this.
01:27:14Let's take it away.
01:27:16It's about time John got us on
01:27:17here.
01:27:18Bobby, you want to start?
01:27:19Yeah.
01:27:22And John.
01:27:23And that's it.
01:27:23They're gone.
01:27:24Thanks.
01:27:25Thanks for coming out.
01:27:26Yeah.
01:27:27You're not making me wait one
01:27:28hour and twenty five minutes and
01:27:30complain about the two minutes
01:27:31it took to get you on.
01:27:32We're going to start and try
01:27:33this again, guys.
01:27:33OK, here we go.
01:27:34All right.
01:27:35Again, I'll try it again.
01:27:36So.
01:27:37He's cute.
01:27:38Go ahead, Bobby.
01:27:40We we heard a lot.
01:27:42I made you guys wait.
01:27:43We've just been talking for an
01:27:45hour and we heard a lot after
01:27:46this game about the difference
01:27:47between this team and the past
01:27:50teams, which is something they
01:27:51didn't want to discuss for much
01:27:53of this year.
01:27:53I feel like tonight that
01:27:55finally came out in a big way
01:27:56because it's indisputable.
01:27:57This team in the past would
01:27:59have lost this game.
01:28:00They would have completely
01:28:01unraveled.
01:28:02And like I said off the top, it
01:28:03would have won in the other
01:28:04direction.
01:28:05They probably would have lost
01:28:06this game in a double digits
01:28:07the other way.
01:28:08And we can point to many
01:28:09different games in the past
01:28:10where that did happen as
01:28:12recently as last year.
01:28:13So it was the definitive win of
01:28:16this championship run.
01:28:18Just like they just held on
01:28:21every time, every run.
01:28:22Definitely, Bobby.
01:28:23And I think Jalen Brown, man,
01:28:24we've been saying this all
01:28:25playoffs, but to see what he
01:28:27did in the second half is
01:28:29completely just being in
01:28:30control, saying, look, OK, I'm
01:28:32going to start giving the
01:28:33Dallas Mavericks some problems
01:28:35here.
01:28:35And he just did it in a way
01:28:36that I felt like it's just it's
01:28:37just so indicative of the
01:28:39development that he's done
01:28:41throughout this entire year.
01:28:41Obviously, we talk about his
01:28:42defense.
01:28:43He has to guard Luke all the
01:28:44time.
01:28:45Did a tremendous job in doing
01:28:45that.
01:28:46But the way he put it when I
01:28:47asked him about it after the
01:28:48game was he thought in the
01:28:49first half he was kind of
01:28:51letting the Dallas Mavericks
01:28:52slide a bit.
01:28:53You know, he was sort of taking
01:28:54the first opportunity he got
01:28:55instead of being more patient.
01:28:56And that was what opened
01:28:58everything up in this in that
01:28:59third quarter.
01:28:59It was 16 points in that third
01:29:01quarter, including that assist
01:29:02plus that assist.
01:29:03I should say the Tillman for
01:29:04three.
01:29:05This place got this this place
01:29:07got awfully quiet when the
01:29:08Celtics were on that run in the
01:29:09third quarter.
01:29:10And of course, that's crazy.
01:29:11Celtics bench was going
01:29:12off.
01:29:13Sure, they made things a little
01:29:14interesting, like they often do,
01:29:16you know, in that fourth
01:29:17quarter.
01:29:18But when it came down to it, it
01:29:19came down to defense.
01:29:20And I thought the whole like
01:29:22let's all take turns on
01:29:23challenging Luca to defend
01:29:25because we know he's not going
01:29:26to do it.
01:29:26I thought that was great.
01:29:27And I think that's going to be a
01:29:28huge storyline when this one is
01:29:30done.
01:29:31You know, when we talk about
01:29:32Luca being a top five player,
01:29:34but when it comes down to it,
01:29:35you have to play defense,
01:29:36especially on this level,
01:29:37especially after he was already
01:29:38put on blast.
01:29:40And, you know, after what we
01:29:41saw in game two perspective and
01:29:44now in game three speaks for
01:29:46itself.
01:29:46We didn't see any improvement in
01:29:48that regard.
01:29:48Man, like Luca, you've got to
01:29:50defend like that's just what we
01:29:52do.
01:29:52You know, you know, for him to
01:29:55foul out the way he did is so
01:29:57poetic.
01:29:57It's all number four.
01:29:59Looked like he was trying to get
01:30:00out of the game.
01:30:01The region on Derek White before
01:30:02the last.
01:30:03Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:30:04John, that's that classic.
01:30:05Oh, I missed a shot, whatever.
01:30:07Or is that going my way?
01:30:08And I'm so mad at the game has
01:30:10to stop right now.
01:30:11So, yeah, that was a frustration
01:30:12foul, a stupid foul that he
01:30:13could have easily kept.
01:30:14But the last one, the fact that
01:30:16he turned to the bench, it was
01:30:17like you guys better F and
01:30:19challenge that.
01:30:19It's like, come on, Luca, your
01:30:21coaches didn't commit that six
01:30:22foul.
01:30:23You did.
01:30:24You got five minutes, six
01:30:25minutes left to go.
01:30:26You can't do that.
01:30:27You cannot fall out of a final
01:30:29game.
01:30:30And of course, it was his first
01:30:30time he's ever done that in the
01:30:31postseason.
01:30:32Such a bad foul to the chance and
01:30:34replay of that.
01:30:35Yeah, exactly, exactly.
01:30:36They tried so hard.
01:30:37He took all the time they could.
01:30:38They looked at every single
01:30:39angle that officials look at
01:30:40each other like, yeah, we got to
01:30:42follow him out.
01:30:42Sorry, Luca.
01:30:43He's your worst defender.
01:30:46Come on.
01:30:46Yeah, right.
01:30:48Guys, you know, I screw out with
01:30:50the boss at accident.
01:30:51I love it.
01:30:52Exactly.
01:30:53I know the Celtics are tired of
01:30:54hearing it, guys, but isn't it
01:30:55fair to draw the comparisons?
01:30:57And again, yes, Holiday and
01:30:59Porzingis are new.
01:30:59But again, this really is about
01:31:01Tatum and Brown, and it always
01:31:03has been.
01:31:03Is it I don't think it's wrong to
01:31:06look back at it, because
01:31:07ultimately, if those are your
01:31:08stars and those are your
01:31:09leaders, that's what you're
01:31:11always going to look to with
01:31:12these guys.
01:31:13And I think, like, the
01:31:14comparisons help them because
01:31:16you're trying to how many you
01:31:17can't resent the comparisons,
01:31:19but also say you've learned a
01:31:20lot from the past, right?
01:31:22If you've learned, that means,
01:31:24well, yeah, that stuff did
01:31:25happen in the past until you see
01:31:27new stuff happen.
01:31:28Like now, that's your story,
01:31:31not this.
01:31:31Yes, it is a different team.
01:31:33But until you write a new story,
01:31:35that's who you are.
01:31:36You're close, but no cigar.
01:31:37Like, okay, great.
01:31:38You're a bridesmaid, you know?
01:31:40And now, they'll be looked at
01:31:42completely differently if they
01:31:44lock this up.
01:31:45I think it changes the entire
01:31:47arc of their careers.
01:31:49Because they've driven this run,
01:31:51too.
01:31:51Tonight, there's no Porzingis.
01:31:53There's been no Porzingis for
01:31:54most of this run.
01:31:55And Horford is a rock.
01:31:56Drew Holliday is a guy who can
01:31:58step up to the plate and make
01:32:00plays on both ends of the floor.
01:32:01But they're the ones initiating
01:32:03all this stuff.
01:32:04I just love that third quarter.
01:32:05I went back and watched them,
01:32:06the pressers.
01:32:07There were three assists between
01:32:09Brown and Tatum directly.
01:32:10You saw them looking for each
01:32:12other.
01:32:12There were multi-pass sequences
01:32:14where there wasn't an assist
01:32:15between them.
01:32:16But a couple guys in between
01:32:18them were setting each other up.
01:32:19There were a lot of missed open
01:32:21shots.
01:32:22So, even more opportunities
01:32:23where they could have assisted
01:32:24each other.
01:32:24I've never seen them pass to
01:32:25each other like that.
01:32:26And the offensive execution
01:32:28throughout that quarter was
01:32:29great as they went up 21.
01:32:31So, you certainly see the good
01:32:32side of Tatum and Brown as a duo
01:32:35in that third.
01:32:35And then, you see the downside,
01:32:37some of the offensive stagnancy
01:32:39that they have in their DNA.
01:32:41It's just the difficult part.
01:32:43Every team has a weakness.
01:32:44Every player has a weakness.
01:32:45And theirs is always going to be
01:32:46that offensive stagnancy
01:32:48creeping in here or there.
01:32:49I don't think that's ever going
01:32:50to go away from this team.
01:32:52But they manage it better.
01:32:53And the big thing is, they
01:32:53defend.
01:32:54The team's defensive consistency
01:32:57is just...
01:32:58That's the floor of having those
01:33:00two guys be your star.
01:33:01And that's the weakness of
01:33:02having Kyrie and Luca be your
01:33:03star.
01:33:04Let me ask you this question,
01:33:05though, guys, because why do we
01:33:05do this to ourselves?
01:33:06And why do Celtics fans continue
01:33:08to do this?
01:33:09You see Porzingis go out and you
01:33:10start to fret over, like,
01:33:11yeesh, Tillman, are you going to
01:33:13be able to do that?
01:33:14Or how are they going to survive
01:33:15there?
01:33:16And, oh, you're going to have to
01:33:16see more Hauser.
01:33:17And everybody gets nervous.
01:33:18But, again, the Mavericks are
01:33:22starting Derek Jones and Gafford
01:33:27and bringing Kleber off the
01:33:30bench.
01:33:30And the first guy off the bench
01:33:31was Jaden Hardy, who played four
01:33:33minutes only.
01:33:34And Green came in.
01:33:35And then they tried Ekstrom in
01:33:36the first half and he got left
01:33:38alone for a dunk.
01:33:39And other than that, did nothing.
01:33:40And he played three minutes.
01:33:42Green, 22 minutes and three
01:33:44points.
01:33:45Like, what are you worried?
01:33:47Hardaway, I didn't even know.
01:33:48I thought you could have told me
01:33:50Hardaway was a DNP tonight and
01:33:52you might as well have been.
01:33:53I don't remember.
01:33:53Well, he's been scratching the
01:33:55surface and that's a third
01:33:56option.
01:33:57So, again, it's like, you know,
01:34:00we still get into this tendency
01:34:02of, like, worrying about, like,
01:34:03wow, jeez, you're going to have
01:34:04to play more.
01:34:05Look what these other guys have
01:34:06to bring up on the floor.
01:34:07Look what they have to bring on
01:34:08the floor.
01:34:09Yeah.
01:34:10Well, they put together the
01:34:11first, their best quarter in the
01:34:12entire finals, right, which was
01:34:14the way they started things off.
01:34:15But then they only had, what, a
01:34:16two-point lead to show for it.
01:34:18I mean, I think that's something
01:34:19they did what I expected them to
01:34:21do in a sense of bouncing back
01:34:22from a rough shooting
01:34:24performance.
01:34:25But they did it right away.
01:34:26And I felt like that was sort of
01:34:28exhausting for the Mavericks
01:34:29where they were just trying to
01:34:30keep up.
01:34:30And all of a sudden, it's like
01:34:31we built this huge lead.
01:34:32And by the end of the quarter,
01:34:33it's pretty much gone.
01:34:34And I think that just that
01:34:35uphill battle while the Celtics
01:34:37were sort of clicking and
01:34:38started to, you know, find their
01:34:39momentum and going into that
01:34:40second half, that's when
01:34:41everything just opened up for
01:34:43the Celtics.
01:34:43But, yeah, I mean, the Celtics
01:34:44did what they were supposed to
01:34:45in terms of finishing that
01:34:46quarter on a very strong note,
01:34:48you know, punching right back
01:34:50when the Dallas Mavericks really
01:34:52got this place rocking.
01:34:53It was easily the loudest they
01:34:54got in here throughout that
01:34:55first-quarter run.
01:34:56And, of course, Kyrie Irving
01:34:57finally found his offense.
01:34:58But it didn't even matter.
01:35:00And I think that when you looked
01:35:01at how deep Jason Kidd went into
01:35:03his bench, he had to, you know,
01:35:04he wanted to, you know, support
01:35:07that terrific first quarter with
01:35:09guys that could maybe hit a few
01:35:10threes here and there.
01:35:11Like, that's all he was
01:35:12generally looking for.
01:35:12Green, he did hit one, but you
01:35:14couldn't get any from Cleaver.
01:35:15He couldn't get anything from
01:35:17Tim Hardaway Jr.
01:35:18And then the Celtics just
01:35:19continued to roll along when
01:35:20they found their momentum.
01:35:21I'm just going to keep saying
01:35:22again and again, too, three
01:35:24games into the series, you never
01:35:26had well, you trapped a little
01:35:27bit in game two, but mostly
01:35:29you've switched everything.
01:35:30It wasn't that much, Bobby.
01:35:32Like I said, one on one.
01:35:33I mean, we're only trying to get
01:35:34an order to get some drop.
01:35:36Yeah, they weren't trying to get
01:35:37awards, right?
01:35:39And that's as aggressive as you
01:35:40got scheme wise there.
01:35:42You were basically switching and
01:35:43playing one on one the whole
01:35:44series.
01:35:44I think the Celtics took 18
01:35:47corner threes in this one and
01:35:48Dallas took five.
01:35:50So it took the corner three away
01:35:51from Dallas.
01:35:53You get efforts like Hauser,
01:35:54Tillman, Pritchard against Luke
01:35:57and like no one would have
01:35:59imagined that coming into the
01:36:00series.
01:36:00And again, that's the belief
01:36:02they have in Joe and some of the
01:36:04scheming he's done on both sides
01:36:05of the ball.
01:36:06Obviously, Jalen set the tone
01:36:07this year for defense.
01:36:09And I try to ask him a little
01:36:10bit about that.
01:36:10He talked a little bit about
01:36:11himself and his individual
01:36:13efforts, and he certainly had
01:36:14them in this game.
01:36:15That sequence where he was on
01:36:17Luca and just aggravating him, I
01:36:19think in the third quarter
01:36:20there was pretty impressive.
01:36:21But the team as a whole, top to
01:36:23bottom, everybody being able to
01:36:24defend Luca and Kyrie one on
01:36:26one, Horford's out there on the
01:36:27perimeter at 38, still switching
01:36:30out there.
01:36:30Tillman.
01:36:33And, you know, that trade, I've
01:36:34been critical of it, but tonight
01:36:36alone makes it worth it.
01:36:37Well, this is kind of what you
01:36:38got him for is a moment like
01:36:40this.
01:36:41Let me ask you guys around the
01:36:42horn real quick.
01:36:43What's the take?
01:36:44What's the media take tomorrow
01:36:46that's going to drive you most
01:36:47nuts, Jimmy?
01:36:49Blaming...
01:36:50Go ahead, Jimmy.
01:36:51Go ahead, Sherrod.
01:36:52He's got it loaded.
01:36:52You're Sherrod.
01:36:53You're Sherrod.
01:36:55Blaming the Dallas loss on Luca
01:36:57picture file number six, which
01:36:59is such bullshit.
01:37:01But go on.
01:37:02Honestly, I'm at this point now.
01:37:05Hi, haters.
01:37:06Nothing's going to bother me.
01:37:07Literally.
01:37:09I'm not going to be...
01:37:10That's a great reference.
01:37:12You're not going to find me in
01:37:13the message boards or in the
01:37:17YouTube comments section.
01:37:19Hi, haters.
01:37:20That's it.
01:37:20All summer long.
01:37:21All summer long, I'm going to be
01:37:22waving hi to all the haters
01:37:24because guess what?
01:37:25Haters always hate.
01:37:26They're always going to find
01:37:27something.
01:37:28They'll move the goalpost and
01:37:28hate on something else.
01:37:30But you really can't hate on
01:37:31this team.
01:37:31They win the championship, which
01:37:32are one game away.
01:37:34I'm going to be saying hi to the
01:37:35haters all summer long.
01:37:37You won't find me spending any
01:37:38energy arguing with any of those
01:37:40people.
01:37:40Any of them.
01:37:41Yeah, but if people...
01:37:42Hi, haters.
01:37:43Haters are going to hate you,
01:37:44Josue.
01:37:45Haters are going to hate you.
01:37:46There's no way...
01:37:47If people say that to Bob Moran,
01:37:48there's no way they can say it
01:37:49with a straight face and
01:37:50insisting that as if, like, the
01:37:52referees, like, robbed him
01:37:53because that's not the case,
01:37:54okay?
01:37:55Lazy defense turns into fouls,
01:37:57you know, especially when
01:37:58subs are in transition and
01:38:00they're a gun for him.
01:38:01They didn't give him a break.
01:38:02No, it was part of the gameplay.
01:38:03It was clear, clear as day.
01:38:05If Luke is on you, go at him.
01:38:07He's going to be a turnstile.
01:38:08And maybe you get a foul while
01:38:10you're driving.
01:38:10I was pretty amazed by that.
01:38:12And, you know, you earn that,
01:38:13right?
01:38:13We've talked about with the
01:38:14Celtics in the past, when Tatum's
01:38:15complaining he's not going to
01:38:16get any breaks, when the whole
01:38:18team, Grant, smart in the past,
01:38:20obviously, too, just constantly
01:38:22yelling at the refs, you're not
01:38:23going to get any breaks.
01:38:24And Luke has been doing that all
01:38:25series here.
01:38:25It was a tough whistle tonight
01:38:27for him, and especially on
01:38:28offense.
01:38:29He'll be all right.
01:38:30He called for two fouls on the
01:38:32floor early where I was like,
01:38:33whoa, they are officiating this
01:38:36one pretty tough here against
01:38:39him in particular.
01:38:40But again, no fault of theirs.
01:38:43Dallas ends up losing this one,
01:38:45the officiating.
01:38:45And I'll go a step further on
01:38:48the take thing because I've just
01:38:51become pretty bored of the Tatum
01:38:52criticism, too.
01:38:53And it is boring, right?
01:38:54Because we're sitting here and
01:38:55saying he's doing all this other
01:38:56stuff.
01:38:56He's not shooting great.
01:38:57We just say the same thing every
01:38:58night.
01:38:59But it's true.
01:39:00And I think he set such a tone in
01:39:02the series with his passing,
01:39:03with the way he handled the
01:39:04crowds.
01:39:05They were so free tonight
01:39:07offensively.
01:39:08Everything looked tough in
01:39:10Boston.
01:39:10Tonight, the ball just sprayed
01:39:12around, and they were making good
01:39:13decisions.
01:39:14And so much of it stems from him.
01:39:15And I love Brown.
01:39:16I love everything he's done in
01:39:17this series.
01:39:18But if all stays equal, and I had
01:39:20a vote, I'd be voting Tatum
01:39:22finals MVP for this year.
01:39:24Oh, my God.
01:39:26Tangway him.
01:39:27Tone he set for this series that
01:39:29flowed into a great night for him
01:39:32scoring the ball in this one,
01:39:33too.
01:39:34And I thought he was on Luka a
01:39:35lot on switches.
01:39:36He took that challenge the last
01:39:37two games.
01:39:38It's no knock on Brown, who's
01:39:39been incredible, too.
01:39:39Yeah, that's my pick.
01:39:4061 tonight, but 61 combined.
01:39:43Yeah, it's Brown.
01:39:44Why does Tatum get it over Brown?
01:39:46It's Brown.
01:39:46It's Brown.
01:39:47Because he's the initiator
01:39:48offensively.
01:39:49And he's the one handling the
01:39:51crowd.
01:39:52But Brown's doing the thing.
01:39:52Brown's doing the actual thing.
01:39:54Right.
01:39:54It stems from the pressure Tatum
01:39:56absorbs at the point of attack.
01:39:58Yeah, I know he's doing
01:40:00everything right here, too.
01:40:01Because he's getting more
01:40:02attention, so you're going to
01:40:02give him MVP?
01:40:04Yeah, because if you took him
01:40:05off the floor.
01:40:07Jimmy, coming into tonight,
01:40:09Tatum was like plus 166 for the
01:40:12playoffs.
01:40:13And the team without him on the
01:40:14floor is plus zero.
01:40:16I understand that he's been
01:40:16important to the team, but when
01:40:17you're talking about the.
01:40:19If you took him off the floor,
01:40:20they would have lost the series.
01:40:22What if you took Brown off the
01:40:23floor?
01:40:24They'd probably find a way to
01:40:25win.
01:40:26What?
01:40:27They win tonight's game without
01:40:28Brown.
01:40:29I don't think they win tonight
01:40:30without Brown.
01:40:31I mean, Brown.
01:40:32Okay, well, Brown's been the
01:40:33best player in two out of three
01:40:34games.
01:40:35You guys are going to keep going
01:40:38back and forth.
01:40:39Again, the pressure's all on
01:40:40Tatum.
01:40:41Bobby's going to lose a lot of
01:40:41points.
01:40:42Two, three guys.
01:40:43I like it.
01:40:43I like it.
01:40:44I like that you're sticking with
01:40:45it.
01:40:46It's a good problem to have, I
01:40:47guess.
01:40:47I think you're going to win it.
01:40:49But I give the edge to Jalen,
01:40:50but we still got one more game.
01:40:52Yeah, we'll see what happens in
01:40:53the last game.
01:40:54It's neck and neck.
01:40:54This is why Jalen Brown will go
01:40:59off in game four, because the
01:41:00haters and the detractors.
01:41:02Are still doing it.
01:41:03Of which there are many.
01:41:04It's not hating.
01:41:05I had an East Finals MVP.
01:41:08Well, how big of you?
01:41:09What about now?
01:41:12I have Tatum MVP.
01:41:13This is what fuels.
01:41:14This is what fuels.
01:41:15We were talking about earlier.
01:41:16Brown's figured out a way to
01:41:17keep himself going.
01:41:18He finds negativity and he turns
01:41:20it into that's what gets him
01:41:22going.
01:41:22Like the slights against him.
01:41:24I'm not saying I care
01:41:26specifically about what you're
01:41:27saying, but generally speaking,
01:41:29it feels like he definitely gets
01:41:30the shaft in a lot of
01:41:31situations.
01:41:32It's okay to say what your eyes
01:41:35are probably telling you is that
01:41:37Brown's been the best player in
01:41:38the court through three games.
01:41:40It's okay to feel that way.
01:41:41It's okay.
01:41:42It's okay.
01:41:44So you guys are all Brown?
01:41:46Yeah.
01:41:46I'm Brown.
01:41:47Brown or Holliday.
01:41:49Not to say Tatum hasn't been
01:41:50good.
01:41:51He's done things well, but there
01:41:53are also things scoring-wise that
01:41:55he hasn't done well that doesn't
01:41:57make him anywhere close to an
01:42:00automatic shoe-in or automatic
01:42:01pick for MVP.
01:42:02Whereas Brown, I think Brown has
01:42:04scored in more opportune
01:42:06scenarios in more important
01:42:08situations, and tonight was a
01:42:09perfect example of that in the
01:42:10second half.
01:42:11Well, we just Joe Mazzulla-ed my
01:42:12original question by answering a
01:42:14different question, but the
01:42:15thing that I think is going to be
01:42:16the most annoying narrative
01:42:17tomorrow is what Sherrod said.
01:42:21Luka?
01:42:22A bunch of media who thought...
01:42:24Why did the NBA foul out Luka?
01:42:26No, it's going to be a bunch of
01:42:28media who thought that Dallas
01:42:30was the better team now need to
01:42:31figure out why this is
01:42:33happening, and rather than give
01:42:34the Celtics proper credit, which
01:42:35they do deserve at this point,
01:42:37and honestly, everyone should
01:42:38just...
01:42:39We were wrong.
01:42:41We were wrong.
01:42:42There will not be an apology
01:42:44cam.
01:42:44We need a national apology cam,
01:42:47and what you're going to get is
01:42:48like, Luka, I don't know if you
01:42:51know, maybe he's more hurt than
01:42:53we think he is.
01:42:53Luka collapsed.
01:42:54Celtics, not right.
01:42:55Luka collapsed.
01:42:56No, you don't get the injury.
01:42:57Because it became, it's Kyrie's
01:43:00fault that they're not winning
01:43:01these two, and now it's going to
01:43:03be Luka, because now everyone's
01:43:04picking up on the defense and
01:43:06the stuff like that and getting
01:43:07tired late in games.
01:43:08It's interesting, too.
01:43:09And it's going to be annoying
01:43:10because it's like, no, the
01:43:12Celtics are breaking them.
01:43:14They broke them.
01:43:16They did this to everybody, and
01:43:18it worked, and it doesn't work
01:43:20here because they're too good.
01:43:21They broke them, and it happens.
01:43:23Like, that's what good teams do.
01:43:25They break.
01:43:25Golden State broke the Celtics
01:43:27two years ago by just being
01:43:30awesome.
01:43:30They did to the Pacers, too.
01:43:32You know?
01:43:34I thought the Pacers played a
01:43:35better series against Boston
01:43:36than Dallas has so far, and they
01:43:38broke them and came back from
01:43:39three games.
01:43:40Again, we said it.
01:43:40You could have been down 3-1 in
01:43:42that series very easily.
01:43:43You don't look at this series at
01:43:44all so far.
01:43:45I know game two got a little
01:43:46wonky, and tonight you were down
01:43:48early, but you're not sitting
01:43:49here saying, oh, Dallas could
01:43:50easily be up in this series.
01:43:52You came away from a four-game
01:43:54sweep against Indy, having to do
01:43:56some heroic stuff late in those
01:43:58games to turn those around and
01:44:00win and sweep.
01:44:01So, you probably met your
01:44:03biggest challenge in these
01:44:04finals so far.
01:44:05I just have been very
01:44:06unimpressed with Dallas here,
01:44:07not to say that Boston hasn't
01:44:08broken them and done all that
01:44:10stuff, but it's a bad matchup for
01:44:11the Mavs.
01:44:12There's certainly some teams in
01:44:13the West that probably would have
01:44:14given Boston a harder time, but
01:44:16as we've said, you play who you
01:44:17play, and to have a 10-game win
01:44:20streak going in the playoffs,
01:44:21again, I emphasized that earlier,
01:44:22Joe Sway, that doesn't happen,
01:44:24and they might make it 11 here.
01:44:26Crazy, right, Bobby?
01:44:27That's regular season stuff.
01:44:28That doesn't happen in the
01:44:29playoffs.
01:44:31I don't know this, but I'm sure
01:44:33it's easy to find.
01:44:34What's the longest winning streak
01:44:35in the playoffs?
01:44:36I'm sure the Celtics have got to
01:44:38be pretty close to it.
01:44:40You probably have to, I mean,
01:44:42without knowing specifically,
01:44:43that Golden State team from 2016-17,
01:44:47they went 16-1 in the playoffs.
01:44:50They won 15 straight that year.
01:44:52Oh, okay.
01:44:54Did they lose game one?
01:44:55They started a good team as well.
01:44:58I think they went 1-1 in their
01:44:59first series and won the next 15
01:45:01or something like that.
01:45:02Yeah.
01:45:03Right.
01:45:03They won the first, lost game.
01:45:05It has to be.
01:45:05That's the only way you can win
01:45:0615 in a row.
01:45:08But has anyone ever seen a team
01:45:11like this where that's not being
01:45:13discussed?
01:45:14It's not about the run,
01:45:15it's not about the winning streak.
01:45:16It's about Tatum, you know,
01:45:17or it's about is Jalen Brown
01:45:20the better guy or whatever the
01:45:22national TV wants to go with.
01:45:25But it's rarely about how great
01:45:26this team is and about the stats
01:45:29and the historic run this has
01:45:31been, you know.
01:45:32But maybe that'll be something
01:45:33they bring up tomorrow morning
01:45:34alongside Luka fouling out,
01:45:36for sure.
01:45:37But that'll take the cake.
01:45:38Celtics could so easily be
01:45:40undefeated in these playoffs,
01:45:41which is the crazy thing.
01:45:42And no one would care, man.
01:45:44They haven't lost since the
01:45:45second round.
01:45:46No one's even talking about it.
01:45:49Finally, will the media and the
01:45:51heat kind of be off them a
01:45:52little bit?
01:45:53And is it going to be on Dallas
01:45:54tomorrow?
01:45:55What happened to Dallas?
01:45:56Did they fall on their face?
01:45:57It's not, again, I think it's
01:45:59less Dallas failures as it is
01:46:00that the Celtics are just doing
01:46:01it to them.
01:46:02Definitely.
01:46:03Yeah, it's definitely that.
01:46:04I mean, their defense has been
01:46:06suffocating.
01:46:07They don't let guys off the
01:46:08hook.
01:46:09They don't.
01:46:10We talked about it earlier.
01:46:11With the backcourt of, you know,
01:46:12Drew and White, those guys are
01:46:15nonstop.
01:46:16And if you're, you know, if
01:46:18you're any of these Mavericks
01:46:18players, down 3-0, looking at,
01:46:22you know, Holiday and White just
01:46:23ready to pounce on you again,
01:46:25like, that's got to be pretty
01:46:26deflating.
01:46:28Yeah.
01:46:28The one other thing I want to
01:46:29bring up here, and I'm sure you
01:46:30guys touched on it a little bit.
01:46:33Long term, you do start to think
01:46:36now, and I love them to death,
01:46:37but, man, what they've done
01:46:39without Chris Stapps here.
01:46:41And Jalen even said it in the
01:46:42press conference, and it came
01:46:43off sounding a little weird,
01:46:45but he said they weren't
01:46:47surprised he went down again.
01:46:48Like, they've done it the whole
01:46:51postseason without him, so he
01:46:52goes down again.
01:46:53And not that they don't miss a
01:46:56beat here.
01:46:56I thought it took a little bit
01:46:57of an adjustment early in this
01:46:58game.
01:46:59But they spent a large portion
01:47:01of the season without Chris
01:47:02Stapps, and they won almost all
01:47:04the games.
01:47:05I mean, they won without
01:47:06everybody.
01:47:08They were undefeated without
01:47:09Jalen Brown.
01:47:09But he was out the most.
01:47:10It doesn't say.
01:47:11I know.
01:47:12But their record was so good.
01:47:14They had a good record without
01:47:15everybody.
01:47:15They really did.
01:47:16Right.
01:47:17He's been out the most.
01:47:18He's been out the entire
01:47:19playoffs, and they've won
01:47:21pretty much every game.
01:47:22But you're expecting it.
01:47:23He played the expected amount of
01:47:25games this year.
01:47:25It's just a bummer that he got
01:47:27hurt.
01:47:27Yeah, you won.
01:47:29Remember, the whole point of
01:47:31bringing him in was so that he
01:47:32could help you win a
01:47:33championship, and he did his
01:47:34job.
01:47:35He played six games in the
01:47:35playoffs.
01:47:36And I wanted him to win.
01:47:37But he played a lot of games.
01:47:38You might not be a 2-0 without
01:47:40him.
01:47:40I had him at, like, five games
01:47:42during the season, just so you
01:47:43could preserve him for this
01:47:44run.
01:47:45The game one performance was
01:47:46big.
01:47:46Absolutely.
01:47:47Bobby, you might not be a 2-0
01:47:48without him.
01:47:49I don't know.
01:47:51It's just going to be
01:47:52interesting because we've had
01:47:53that conversation about how
01:47:54this group's going to chart into
01:47:56the future.
01:47:56I know they're going to talk to
01:47:57Derrick White this summer, and
01:47:59that's going to be a substantial
01:48:00total if it is the full maximum
01:48:02that you can possibly give to
01:48:04him.
01:48:04And they signed him to a good
01:48:05extension, $30 million a year
01:48:07here.
01:48:08But it's been tough.
01:48:10And Drew talked about it a
01:48:11little bit tonight.
01:48:13Jalen certainly showed in some
01:48:14of his comments there.
01:48:15It's been difficult to watch the
01:48:18way the health has deteriorated
01:48:20as the year's gone on.
01:48:21And that's certainly been the
01:48:22case with him pretty much every
01:48:25year of his career, outside of
01:48:26you here or there.
01:48:27So, you'll definitely run this
01:48:30full group back next year.
01:48:31But in two years, you start to
01:48:33make decisions where you are at
01:48:36at that point.
01:48:37Let's win one more, Bobby, and
01:48:38then we'll have this one.
01:48:39Two years.
01:48:39I'm thinking about two days.
01:48:40It's just tough.
01:48:41Friday night.
01:48:43I mean, isn't this a difficult
01:48:44position for him to be in right
01:48:46now?
01:48:46Because you came here, you want
01:48:49to be part of this run.
01:48:50He said, you're right, John.
01:48:51He had that massive, massive
01:48:53contribution in game one.
01:48:54He hasn't played on this run.
01:48:56It's a difficult position for
01:48:57all of us to be in because I
01:48:58don't think anyone wants to have
01:48:59this conversation right now.
01:49:01The Celtics are one win away
01:49:02from a championship.
01:49:04I think we got to.
01:49:05You're talking about bringing up
01:49:06the band.
01:49:06That teammate.
01:49:07He's like, I'm sorry.
01:49:09Can we just get another hit?
01:49:10Can we just get another hit
01:49:11record before we bring up
01:49:12the band?
01:49:13Yeah, come on.
01:49:14Let's let's let's let's let's
01:49:17accept the Grammy.
01:49:18Right.
01:49:18Let's let me.
01:49:18You can enjoy this before you
01:49:20worry about two years for sure.
01:49:22For sure.
01:49:23It's just it's man.
01:49:25He came back for two games.
01:49:27It's yeah, it's and they won
01:49:29both of those games, which
01:49:30means he did a job a little bit
01:49:32kind of typical.
01:49:34I mean, you really think he
01:49:34would just played the entire
01:49:35series of like like injury
01:49:37freely.
01:49:38That's that's that's a lot to
01:49:40ask for someone that again has
01:49:42to go back into playing into,
01:49:44you know, playoff style NBA
01:49:47finals.
01:49:47Everyone's been playing for the
01:49:48last breaking up the two months
01:49:50and I don't know.
01:49:51Well, look, I'm sure my point is
01:49:53like I was going into this
01:49:54finals thinking he's probably
01:49:56going to get the best of Chris
01:49:58that's at the front end and
01:49:59it's going to kind of teeter
01:50:00off.
01:50:01That is going to happen like
01:50:01this.
01:50:02No, but it was really surprised
01:50:03me.
01:50:04I mean, that stuff is tricky
01:50:05when it comes to foot injuries
01:50:06and ankles and stuff like that.
01:50:07And he's probably going to
01:50:08surgery after this.
01:50:09But it's just it's tough.
01:50:12But the way this team bounced
01:50:13back and continues to play well
01:50:14without him, it's I'm only
01:50:17bringing up because Jalen said
01:50:18it is things where it's just
01:50:19unfortunate.
01:50:19But you kind of again going into
01:50:24the season, I was taking a
01:50:25three year window.
01:50:26Chris that's you know, like it's
01:50:27just historically speaking,
01:50:29he's had these injuries since he
01:50:30was 19.
01:50:30You know, those bigs, especially
01:50:32seven three that historically
01:50:34they don't they don't they don't
01:50:35have a long career in the NBA.
01:50:36I mean, who do you guys think
01:50:37the Celtics might target with
01:50:39the number 30 pick?
01:50:40Shut up, shut up.
01:50:42Off season mode.
01:50:43Ronnie James, that's who.
01:50:45Ronnie James.
01:50:46If Mavs fans are watching,
01:50:48they're so mad.
01:50:48They look at these on.
01:50:50Yeah, because at fifty five,
01:50:53Bobby, I think there's a lot of
01:50:54good options that they're 30.
01:50:57I'm not sure, but fifty five,
01:50:58you might again, Jalen said
01:50:59tonight it wasn't a surprise.
01:51:02He went down and well, I want to
01:51:05hear it because I want to hear
01:51:07the context again.
01:51:08Yeah, I think, you know,
01:51:09exactly.
01:51:10I think sometimes they were
01:51:11prepared for it.
01:51:12Right.
01:51:12Comes out a little bit wrong.
01:51:14And that's just the way it is.
01:51:15Like, same thing with holiday a
01:51:16couple of days ago.
01:51:17Yeah, something.
01:51:18And like, do we think he's done
01:51:19done or you think they try to
01:51:22sneak it out there?
01:51:24Oh, I mean, oh, you mean this
01:51:25year?
01:51:26Yeah, I'm still talking about
01:51:28what's going on in this series.
01:51:29Yes.
01:51:29I'm going to talk about that.
01:51:30I'm done.
01:51:31I know.
01:51:32No, like you think you think he's
01:51:33you think they try it again up
01:51:34three at this point?
01:51:36You would think if he doesn't
01:51:37feel like I would feel like you
01:51:39you could probably at this
01:51:40point get away with not doing
01:51:42game four.
01:51:43And then if you felt the need,
01:51:44you might sneak him in for eight
01:51:46ten hero minutes in game five
01:51:48just to be able to be out there
01:51:49and smile and maybe, you know,
01:51:51that'd be great.
01:51:51And I think that's more likely
01:51:54to be honest, you know, the fact
01:51:55that he didn't even go through
01:51:56his pregame routine, I think
01:51:57speaks volumes as to where he's
01:51:58at.
01:51:59You know, like he's I don't I
01:52:00don't even think he was close
01:52:02for game three and game four is
01:52:04only a couple of days away.
01:52:05So, I mean, up three.
01:52:06Oh, yeah.
01:52:07Well, you probably don't see him
01:52:08out there.
01:52:09Maybe in game five, but I don't
01:52:11think, yes, I don't think you
01:52:13see him the whole series.
01:52:14I never thought so.
01:52:15But again, thankfully, you got
01:52:16game three here, guys.
01:52:18Are we going back to Boston to
01:52:19wrap it up there or is it going
01:52:21to happen here?
01:52:22Final predictions, Sharad here
01:52:25over.
01:52:25I think it's here.
01:52:26OVA you guys over.
01:52:29I'm with you guys.
01:52:29I think it's over Friday night.
01:52:31Get ready.
01:52:32We're going to be patty and
01:52:33weekend Friday night.
01:52:35We crashed your party.
01:52:36Yeah.
01:52:36Yeah.
01:52:37Yeah.
01:52:38This one this one.
01:52:38This one's cooked, man.
01:52:39Kari and I don't want to go back
01:52:41to Boston.
01:52:41Slowly.
01:52:43I think they really took the
01:52:45winds out their sails.
01:52:46Luca falls out in the first
01:52:47quarter.
01:52:48Next game is amazing.
01:52:51What a team.
01:52:52Look at my job.
01:52:5240.
01:52:53Guys.
01:52:54Never.
01:52:54No one went away.

01:53:02the off day.
01:53:03What's up?
01:53:03This way.
01:53:04One more.
01:53:05No, I'm saying one more.
01:53:06Oh, I got nothing to say.
01:53:07I'm saying one more.
01:53:08One more.
01:53:08Guys, one more.
01:53:09Guys, we're going to wrap it
01:53:10up.
01:53:11Thank you guys for joining us
01:53:11here.
01:53:12It's been almost two hours.
01:53:13We are one win away from
01:53:15Banner 18.
01:53:16Spell this win.
01:53:17This one.
01:53:18One.
01:53:18Oh, six.
01:53:19Ninety nine.
01:53:19After being down 13 points
01:53:21early in this game, they roar
01:53:23back.
01:53:24Take a 21 point lead.
01:53:25Hang on and beat the Mavericks
01:53:28to take a 3 0 series lead.
01:53:29We are out.
01:53:30We will see you guys later.
01:53:32If you want more basketball
01:53:33talk.
01:53:33I know the first of the floor
01:53:35guys are ready and they're
01:53:36going to bring it over on
01:53:37their channel.
01:53:38So keep it going all night
01:53:40long if you want.
01:53:41We'll be back tomorrow.
01:53:41Take care.
01:53:42Wait, I'm going to get an
01:53:43outro for us.
01:53:44I think.
01:53:44No, he doesn't.
01:53:45He said he was going to work
01:53:46on an outro.
01:53:48He had a phenomenal game.
01:53:50Phenomenal.
01:53:53Forfeit's out.
01:53:54I think it's an option.
01:53:58That did not sound like a
01:53:59chair.
01:54:00It was a freaking chair.
01:54:02It does sound like a chair.
