00:00Once upon a time, there were three little girls who went to the police academy.
00:06And they were each assigned very hazardous duties.
00:21But I took them away from all that, and now they work for me.
00:26My name is Charlie.
00:58But why can't you tell her?
01:27Because I don't want to tell her that.
01:30Go upstairs.
01:31Then you come with me.
01:33I have a five o'clock meeting, and you know how hard it is for me to pull myself away from you.
01:38You don't tell Michelle, I will.
01:40Dana.
01:44Dana, darling, you know I love you.
01:46Then you've been using me.
01:49If you love me, then get a divorce.
02:19I love you.
02:49Somebody there?
02:58Who is it?
03:02Who's here?
03:06We have been hired by Dana Cameron's parents to find Dana's killer.
03:14Notice anything, angels?
03:16How could we miss noticing, Charlie?
03:18It's Kelly almost to a tee.
03:21Really, I don't think she looks that much like me.
03:24In that pose, she's a dead ringer.
03:30Sorry, I wasn't trying to be funny.
03:32You weren't.
03:34And I take it there is a reason why you're pointing out the resemblance, Charlie?
03:37There is.
03:38And Bosley will fill you in when he gives you your covers.
03:41So far, the police have reached a dead end in solving Dana's murder.
03:46And our clients feel that the police investigators are pursuing the wrong direction.
03:51The rag doll strangler is what they're calling the killer.
03:54See, Dana worked for a designer, Kevin St. Clair.
04:00Now the company is St. Clair Creations Incorporated.
04:07Look in any fashion magazine, angels.
04:10Name is Michelle.
04:12St. Clair's bride of two years.
04:14But Dana told her parents she and St. Clair were having an affair.
04:18So we have two possibles.
04:20Michelle, if she was jealous of her husband having an affair with Dana, and St. Clair himself.
04:24Well, it could be the affair was going sour.
04:27Is St. Clair a Scorpio?
04:29You know, it's really a bad cycle for Scorpios right now.
04:32Scorpio or not, Jo, St. Clair is a solid suspect.
04:36Then you think the killings were definitely an inside job, right, Charlie?
04:40There's no doubt in the minds of Mr. and Mrs. Cameron that it was.
04:44All of our prime candidates have alibis for the time of the murder.
04:48So our assignment is to shoot at the alibis until we find one that leaks?
04:52Correct, Kelly. Bosley will give you your instructions.
04:55Charlie, you keep promising you're going to be with us on one of these cases, and you never show up.
05:00And you know how we're looking forward to it.
05:03Yeah, Charlie. Are we going to see you on this one?
05:06I really would love to be there shoulder to shoulder with you this time, Angels.
05:10But I'm going to be down under for a few more days on my current caper.
05:14Down under? Charlie, are you in Australia?
05:18Not quite, Angel.
05:20Meet you down under, Charlie, honey.
05:25I plan to be up to my ears into the one I'm locked in on, Angels.
05:28So carry on without me until I can join you.
05:31Good luck. Keep in touch.
05:36Good luck.
05:52Help you, ladies?
05:54Oh, yes. We're from the Hilliard Agency.
05:56We'd like to see Mr. St. Clair about the fashion show this afternoon.
05:59A little tardy, aren't you? The interviews were yesterday.
06:02Better late than missing the job altogether.
06:04Besides, two of the girls Mr. St. Clair hired are going to be no-shows.
06:08How come?
06:09Oh, too much partying.
06:11Besides, won't we do as a replacement?
06:14That's up to St. Clair, babe. I only work here.
06:17Photographer?
06:18No, actually, I only carry these around to accent my wardrobe.
06:22I'll introduce you to the man.
06:24I want to catch his face when he sees you.
06:27Why?
06:28You don't know.
06:30If I did, would I ask?
06:32Delicious.
06:39A little to the left, Kenny.
06:43Fine.
06:45Very nice.
06:47Oh.
06:57That turn you on, Heinz, baby?
07:00I mean, does it make you kind of quiver-like?
07:04Oh, I forgot.
07:07You're too pure to get all sweaty over a lady, aren't you, sugar?
07:11Leave him alone, Michelle.
07:14Two new troops on the bench to replace a couple of dropouts from the show.
07:18Sorry we're late, Mr. St. Clair. The agency had trouble finding us.
07:29What's your name?
07:31Callie Garrett.
07:33I think your agency has a lot of chutzpah sending you here. I want you to tell them that.
07:37I don't understand, Mr. St. Clair. What did I do wrong?
07:40He's referring to your freaky reincarnation of his dear departed Dana.
07:46Put her in the white bikini.
07:48You can't do that. I'm wearing it.
07:49Put her in it.
07:50Kevin!
07:51The show will be at the St. Clair Estate, ladies. We'll see you there.
07:55What's going on? What about me?
07:57He'll hire you. I'll see to it.
08:00But we have to get your boat fitted right away.
08:03Thank you.
08:04Thank you.
08:06I guess we're in.
08:08In this menagerie, I'm not sure if that's good news or bad. Come on, let's go.
08:15Lovely, lovely. Turn it on, baby.
08:18Now, look at me. That's it.
08:21Just as soon as I check out the girls, I'll take these reservation lists down to the main gate.
08:25Everything else is all set for the showing.
08:27Press, TV coverage, everything I promised I'd deliver.
08:30It's about time you delivered something for somebody besides yourself, Jesse.
08:34We both know one of the reasons you've been so successful sucking in the parasite press is because of Dana's death.
08:41So what? What's the difference how I got them here?
08:44Listen, with the kind of press you're getting on this showing, every buyer in the country will jump on the bandwagon.
08:48Creations Incorporated will be the hit of the season.
08:51What we need on the bandwagon are the banks where we are trying to float loans.
08:57Our audit is in two weeks, and our spring collection means sink or swim.
09:08I saw Michelle heading down to the pool house to change.
09:11She still uptight over the garagic?
09:13Livid is an alley cat.
09:16But then, fortunately, the alley cat is an endangered species.
09:20Lovely, lovely. Toss your head back. Toss your head back.
09:24Now look at me. That's it. Further. Further. Head back.
09:30Okay. Now we'll try one with the hat.
09:44Alec, do I really look that much like the girl who was killed?
09:48Oh, some angle. It's a bit spooky.
09:52You know, I thought that Dana Cameron and St. Clair were having a hot and heavy affair.
09:57Did you now? What else did you hear?
10:01That Michelle hired detectives to follow them, and that St. Clair was the last one to see her alive.
10:07For someone who didn't even know she resembled Dana Cameron, you're becoming quite an expert.
10:13I can't help but be interested under the circumstances now, can I?
10:19All right, girls. Come on. Let's get the lead out. Chop, chop.
10:22We've got a full run through in one hour. As soon as you're ready, get out and see Alec at the pool.
10:26Okay, Heinz. How do I look?
10:29Fine.
10:31Is that a religious medal?
10:33From my home in Holland.
10:35Oh, it's very nice. You know, I really appreciate you letting me work today.
10:39I hope that I'll be able to pay you back.
10:43I did not buy your services.
10:46I did not buy your services. I do not buy women.
10:49Oh, that's not what I meant at all. I really was just hoping we could be friends.
10:54I have no friends.
11:02That dude dicks nobody, honey. Just pens.
11:07How long have you been with the St. Clair company?
11:09Too long. After a while, the numbers everybody does on everybody else gets on your nerves, you know?
11:14Yeah. That bad, huh?
11:16Bad enough.
11:18What about Dana Cameron? Do you think she was happy with the company?
11:22To her, the company was Kevin St. Clair.
11:26Do you think he might have had anything to do with her death?
11:29Police don't seem to think so.
11:31What do you think?
11:33I think you ask a lot of questions for somebody I've never seen before today.
11:36Excuse me. Could you tell me where I could find Alec Witt?
11:40Who's asking?
11:41I'm Sabrina. I'm working as the photo stylist on the show.
11:44Yeah? Well, good luck.
11:46Alec goes through stylists the way Bluebeard went through wives.
11:56What'd you get from the police report?
11:58They're still treating Dana's killing like it was a sex thing.
12:01Now, her apartment was torn up.
12:03The bedding and pillows were slashed. The curtains were ripped.
12:06It looked like something ritualistic.
12:08You were on the wrong train.
12:09No, no, no, no.
12:10Now, remember, Bosley told us that Dana's watch was smashed at the time of her murder,
12:15setting the time of the murder at 4 o'clock, right?
12:18Yeah, and St. Clair told the police he took Dana back to her apartment at 3.
12:21Yeah.
12:22He then claims that he went to a bar, had a few drinks,
12:24and on his way back to the office, his car broke down and he had to be towed.
12:27He had the mechanic swear to the time, 4 o'clock.
12:31So?
12:32Jill, Dana was getting out of the shower when she was killed.
12:36Now, who takes a shower wearing a diamond watch that isn't even waterproof?
12:40Oh, so you're saying St. Clair set the watch to a later time to fit his alibi
12:45and then put the watch on Dana.
12:47I'm saying the killer did, and the killer could be St. Clair.
12:51Now, you better get back out there before they call you.
12:55Are you set for a job here?
12:57I got my way through the game.
13:00I'm not sure how I'm gonna do with Alec Witt.
13:02Well, anyway, you look terrific.
13:04Hey, I think he's outside shooting Kelly now. Let's go.
13:20I had enough of that little tramp Dana when she was alive, sugar.
13:23I mean, somebody's playing a look-alike Halloween joke on you.
13:26Aren't you bright enough to know it?
13:28Look, I have a very important show to get ready and I don't need any more hassle from you.
13:33Why are you doing this to me?
13:35You know I can wear Dana's things.
13:37You will wear what I want you to wear, dearie.
13:40She is not going to wear it.
13:42You're not gonna let her wear it. I'm gonna tear it off of her.
14:03Help!
14:11Well, Kelly said she'd be riding the swim of things.
14:14Yeah, but I don't know if giving swimming lessons to the boss's wife is the way to win friends and influence people.
14:27Either I wear it or I don't do the show.
14:30And I mean it.
14:33Oh, Michelle, Michelle, Michelle.
14:35Go dry your hair.
14:37And when the show starts, you will be wearing it.
14:41And later on, I'll have a good long talk.
14:45Just let's have no more embarrassing incidents.
14:48Okay? Go on. Go ahead.
14:55There's food and drink in the cabana. Let's all take a short break.
15:03I'm really sorry, Mr. St. Clair.
15:06Well, don't be.
15:09I foresee a long and happy relationship with just the two of us.
15:13Why? Because I look like Dana Cameron?
15:16I have affairs with all my models.
15:18Didn't anyone tell you that?
15:20I guess they didn't.
15:22So it really doesn't matter who you look like.
15:25Oh, I like you.
15:28So it really doesn't matter who you look like.
15:31Oh, I like subtle men, Mr. St. Clair.
15:59Oh, I forgot my bag.
16:01I thought you were going to take a memory course so you'd stop forgetting things.
16:04Well, it didn't work out too well. I kept forgetting which night the class was.
16:29Michelle?
16:34Michelle?
16:59Kelly was with St. Clair when it happened, so it couldn't possibly have been him.
17:03That poses a problem, doesn't it, Angels? You were sure St. Clair was the killer.
17:07Well, everything we had pointed to him. But who could have a better alibi?
17:11I mean, not only was he with Kelly, but he was standing within full view of everybody at the pool during Michelle's killing.
17:17Okay, that rules out St. Clair as the strangler.
17:20Now, who wasn't accounted for?
17:22Well, Heinz Brandon went back to make some alterations on the wardrobe.
17:25Jill, what do you think of him as a suspect?
17:27Well, I like Heinz, Charlie.
17:29I mean, I know he's a little strange, but that's what they said about Jack the Ripper.
17:34We've got the copies of the bank records you arranged for Charlie.
17:37And the background dossier on Jesse Woodman.
17:40What's in it?
17:41Woodman appears to be a real Wheeler dealer.
17:43He manipulated a stock purchase with very little capital and bought into Creations, Inc. when Kevin St. Clair was badly overextended.
17:50How does St. Clair feel about that arrangement?
17:53Let's put it this way. They're in bed together, but it's not a happy marriage.
17:56Well, I have Woodman's police record, Charlie.
17:59And our public relations man needs a public relations man.
18:03Aggravated assault with intent to commit murder.
18:06There was a girl he picked up one night who barely lived to tell about it.
18:10What about Dana? Where was Woodman the night she was killed?
18:13On a business trip to San Francisco.
18:15But I checked the airline schedules, and he could have had time to make a turnaround flight under another name.
18:20Well, listen, Charlie, I would like to take a gander at St. Clair's books.
18:24I mean, they might tell us more about the tie-in between St. Clair and Woodman.
18:28All right, angels. I think from here on out, each of you should take a separate point of attack.
18:33Sabrina, take Alec Witt. Jill, see what you can find out from Jesse Woodman.
18:38And Kelly...
18:39Yeah, St. Clair and his books.
18:40Correct. Just be careful.
18:42I have a feeling whoever the strangler is, he isn't through yet.
18:55Ah, thank you, darling. That wraps it.
18:58They'll probably need you downstairs any minute.
19:03Now, where was it we met?
19:07Well, we didn't exactly meet.
19:10Our eyes met.
19:13At the St. Clair estate.
19:14That's right.
19:15I was going to give you my letter from your friend, Jim Hassler.
19:18He said he'd recommend me anyway.
19:20Recommend you for, uh, exactly what?
19:23As a photo stylist. I'm terrific.
19:27Really, you'd be amazed.
19:29I would.
19:30The best part is, I'm very reasonable.
19:33How are you now?
19:34Well, why don't you try me and find out?
19:39All right, step, step, step, and turn. That's right. Now take off the jacket.
19:45Wrong. Come on, it's wrong, wrong, wrong.
19:48This jacket is like a tarantula. It keeps grabbing me.
19:53Who used that cheap jersey on this?
19:57Change it or take it out of the show.
20:16It has to be two inches shorter.
20:19It's simply terrible that way.
20:21I have the patterns right here, Mr. St. Clair. You can see it's been cut entirely wrong.
20:25It's simply ruined.
20:27I don't know, Heinze.
20:28Maybe the model can wear wooden shoes or whatever they wear in your country.
20:33Postpone the show.
20:35We simply cannot make it.
20:37If we don't make it, you'll be back pushing pins in Bakersfield.
20:42Wrap it up, girls.
20:43You got an eight o'clock call in the morning.
20:51St. Clair just went to his office with Woodman, so if you have a chance, pump candy.
20:54I tried to talk to her several times, but I struck out.
20:57You know, I have a feeling she can tell us something if we can just get her to open up.
21:01Do you think you can corral Woodman?
21:03Ooh, faster than Rory Rogers.
21:05Rory Rogers?
21:07Yeah. In my tomboy youth, I was a real Rory Rogers freak.
21:10Oh, do you know when Trigger died?
21:12They stuffed him.
21:14I mean, there's nothing sacred anymore.
21:16Just be careful with Woodman.
21:18If he is the Strangler, I'd hate to think how Charlie would feel if you wound up stuffed.
21:26Hi, Jesse.
21:28Hey, doll. How are you?
21:29Oh, I'm in a spot.
21:30You know, my car went bluey this morning.
21:32I had to take a taxi.
21:33You think you could give me a lift?
21:35I would, too.
21:36Oh, surprise me.
21:41Why not?
21:42Thanks a lot. I have to get my bag.
21:44Just a minute.
21:50Hi.
21:52Jill, perhaps I could take you home.
21:55Oh, Hines, I'm sorry.
21:57Um, Jesse just asked me.
21:59Of course, I understand.
22:01But maybe we could go out some other time.
22:03What about tomorrow night? Is that all right?
22:07You know, one of the fitters told me that some of St. Clair's ideas come from you.
22:11Is that true?
22:13Would that surprise you, sir?
22:15No, not at all.
22:17I just, I wish you wouldn't let them treat you the way they do.
22:23Just keep pitching there, buddy boy.
22:25You'll score yet.
22:36What are you looking at?
23:06Just you, babe.
23:09Got a light?
23:25Well, the lady is armed and dangerous.
23:27Two girls have been killed.
23:29What do you expect?
23:35What do you expect?
24:00Phone company is going to disconnect my phone.
24:02No calls in a week, especially from you.
24:05Well, I'm sorry, but I've had a few things on my mind.
24:09I hate to be cold, but I know you and Michelle were at the end of the line and the funeral's over.
24:14So what are we waiting for?
24:17You are direct, aren't you?
24:24Yes.
24:26Don't let them, don't let them get out of the garage.
24:28I'll be right down.
24:29I can't believe it.
24:30Somebody's trying to tow my car away.
24:32Is that such a tragedy?
24:33I've already sung 4,000 in that transmission.
24:35Nobody, nobody tows that car, even if I wanted them to.
24:40We'll have to get together some other time.
24:55I'm sorry, sir.
25:11What the hell is going on here?
25:13Woody, get that car out of the garage.
25:15I'm sorry, Mr. Johnson.
25:16I have my orders.
25:17I don't care which Johnson, who's Johnson.
25:20I know it may be a bit of an inconvenience for you, Mr. Johnson.
25:23But I am sure that they'll be happy to return the car when you start making the payments again.
25:28What payments?
25:29You'll just sign right here.
25:30I paid cash for this car.
25:33My name is Sinclair, not Johnson.
25:37Oh, dear me.
25:38Well, if your name is not Johnson, well, that means that this isn't your car.
25:44No, no, no, no, idiot.
25:47I am Sinclair.
25:49This is my car.
25:51You've got the wrong car.
25:53Oh, well, maybe the dispatcher made a mistake.
25:57I'll have to phone in and find out.
25:59Nobody's perfect, you know.
26:22Well, anybody can make a mistake, Mr. Johnson.
26:25I mean, Mr. Sinclair, but you sure look like a Johnson to me.
26:51Sorry.
27:13Sorry.
27:14I didn't know anybody was still around.
27:18I have a late date.
27:21You scared me to death.
27:25I sure hope not.
27:27Night.
27:51Night.
27:53Night.
28:22Oh, my God.
28:24I'm sorry.
28:27What are you doing here?
28:28I forgot my purse, so I came back to get it.
28:31I'm glad I did, because I've been wanting to talk to you.
28:34About what?
28:35Dana Cameron and Michelle Sinclair.
28:38I don't know what you're getting at.
28:40I think you do.
28:41You were Alec Witt's alibi when Dana was killed.
28:44You said you were with him.
28:46There's some people who don't believe your story.
28:48Who?
28:49Who doesn't believe me?
28:50Look, is there anywhere we can go and talk?
28:56There's a restaurant three blocks from here.
28:58Maxine's.
29:00I don't want to be seen leaving here with you.
29:03But I'll meet you there in 15 minutes.
29:06All right.
29:07Maxine's it is.
29:19Maxine's.
29:50Help!
29:53Hey!
30:02Candy?
30:04Candy?
30:06Candy!
30:12Stop!
30:13Please, help!
30:19Help!
30:42If I'd just left with her, I could have prevented this.
30:46Look, it was her idea.
30:48Ellie, could have been you in that ambulance.
30:51Yeah, let's just be happy she's okay.
30:53I mean, she's the only one left who can identify the killer.
30:57You know, you were right about her knowing something, Jill.
31:00She got very nervous when I started to question her.
31:03I think the killer is Alec.
31:05It was his van, the exact van he had at the St. Clair estate.
31:09Well, it wasn't Woodman, that's for sure.
31:11Jill was with him and I was following them.
31:14Where'd you leave him?
31:15In my house.
31:16I had a headache, he didn't push it.
31:18Gosh, you're over the hill at 24?
31:21Very funny.
31:22You shut up.
31:25Kelly, you sure it was Alec's van?
31:27Positive.
31:29You sure it was Alec?
31:30What do you mean?
31:32Well, the security guard said Alec left shortly after St. Clair did, on foot.
31:36He said he was going out to get a bite to eat.
31:38He never came back.
31:39Oh, that's great, just great!
31:41Hey, listen, Alec's van was just found.
31:43It was hot-wired and abandoned on the east side.
31:45Apparently he walked home.
31:47He's got an apartment a couple blocks from here.
31:49The killer could have stolen from him.
31:51Or, Alec could have had time to double back and come into the building through the rear fire exit.
31:56Either way, Woodman and St. Clair were accounted for.
31:59So, we crossed them off.
32:01And we concentrate on Alec.
32:14The End
32:25Sorry I'm missing the flick, Angels.
32:27I've heard it's educational.
32:29A marvelous training film for the sadomasochistic set, Charlie.
32:33There's some great chains if you're into chains, Charlie.
32:39Alec Witt used to make this same kind of two-wheeler for a living.
32:42Before they slapped him with a porno charge.
32:44You mean he got money for it?
32:46This Witt is a very nasty fellow, Angels.
32:49Maybe the police are right.
32:50And it's a case of a sex freak doing his thing.
32:53Aha!
32:54One guaranteed sex freak coming up.
32:57Alec Witt.
32:58Statutory rape.
32:59Two counts.
33:01Not enough evidence for conviction.
33:03He seduced both the girls to get them in his films.
33:06Which featured dolls prominently.
33:08Just our luck, a dirty young man.
33:11A dangerous young man.
33:13Watch yourselves, Angels.
33:15Charlie's right, Sabrina.
33:17Alec was in St. Clair's house the time Michelle was killed.
33:20But he could have left there and come back around the pool house.
33:23Oh, listen, Jill.
33:25I don't think Heinz Brandon can be discounted any longer.
33:28Okay.
33:29I'm gonna have coffee with him, boss.
33:30So I'll see what I can find out.
33:32I'm still convinced the man I saw in the garage must have been Alec.
33:36Well, folks.
33:37I have a dinner date with Alec tonight.
33:40If he's the strangler, maybe I can make myself his next victim.
33:59Alec!
34:10Alec, I'm here.
34:11Oh, you're early, love.
34:13Why don't you grab a drink from the bar while I slip into something sexy?
34:18Terrific.
34:20Take your time.
34:24I'll just leave your keys here on the bar.
34:41Are you trying to impress me with your promptness, Sabrina?
34:48Well, better early than never.
34:57Do you always look through people's files?
35:00Oh, come on, Alec.
35:01You know what I was looking for.
35:04No, I don't.
35:06Why don't you tell me?
35:07Well, I was hoping I would find something a little more interesting to look at than just fashion.
35:17How did you know about my predilection for pornography?
35:24One of the models at work told me.
35:27Made me want to work for you more.
35:29One of the models at work told me.
35:32Made me want to work for you more.
35:34Well, here we are.
36:03Whatever happened to dinner?
36:05We'll eat later.
36:07Will you slow down?
36:10Well, what is it with you?
36:13I just don't like to be rushed, that's all.
36:17Wait a minute.
36:19You come on like some poor little working girl who's ready for anything.
36:24What do you want from me?
36:26Nothing.
36:27Just a little fresh air.
36:32And let all the cold in.
36:35Come on, baby.
36:37I told you, I don't like to be rushed.
36:40Well, this time you are gonna be rushed.
36:45That's what I like, baby.
36:47Stop it.
36:48Get off of me.
36:49No way, baby.
36:51Well, isn't this romantic?
36:55So that's the way you treat a lady.
36:57Listen, friend, I drove all the way over here thinking you wanted some action.
37:02What I didn't realize is that the action you wanted was with somebody else.
37:06I didn't invite you here.
37:08Maybe not in so many words, but you've been coming on pretty heavy for a week.
37:12We are supposed to have a quiet dinner together and suddenly a replacement shows up?
37:17Oh, that's not good form at all, love.
37:19What the hell is going on here?
37:21In a word, nothing, lover.
37:23Not tonight.
37:24Well, you struck out again.
37:33Oh, are you all right?
37:35Uh-huh.
37:36Outside of a couple of broken ribs.
37:39You know, if you'd have been a couple of seconds later, I'd have been defiled by that creep.
37:43Now, that's the first time I've ever heard you complain about that.
37:46Hey, it wasn't exactly Robert Redford, you know.
37:49If you'd have been Robert Redford, I might have said defile away.
37:53Jill's still at the restaurant with Brandon.
37:55Did you find anything?
37:56Yeah.
37:57Yeah.
37:58Depends on how a group photograph of our three victims grabs you.
38:02And what's unusual about that, they work together.
38:04Uh-huh.
38:05But in this photograph, they've all got X's on their faces.
38:08Like the killer was marking off his victims.
38:12Oh.
38:23You seem so quiet, Hines.
38:25Can't you tell me what's wrong?
38:27I only wonder why you are with me, here, now.
38:32A beautiful girl.
38:33There must be very many men you can be with, other than me.
38:36I choose my friends.
38:38Is that so strange?
38:40Yeah.
38:42I have a large family in Holland, you know.
38:45A sister, brothers.
38:48We were a catholic family, and so, naturally, there were very many of us.
38:52It's not like that in America.
38:55And I'm a Catholic.
38:57So, I have a few brothers.
38:59I have two sisters.
39:01I have a brother, and I have a sister.
39:04And I have a brother.
39:06And I have a sister.
39:08It's not like that in America.
39:11Everyone is...
39:13separate.
39:15What was your sister like?
39:17Lost.
39:20Searching.
39:22Always searching.
39:24Never finding.
39:34That's for you.
39:36Really?
39:38Yeah.
39:44Oh, it's beautiful.
39:47Oh, Heinz, thank you.
39:50In my village, we have a local saint.
39:54A protector of the frail and fair.
39:59You don't even have to be Catholic to be protected.
40:02Yes?
40:03Excuse me, Mr. Brandon. Telephone.
40:08Thank you.
40:31Excuse me.
40:33Is Mr. Brandon still on the phone?
40:35Mr. Brandon left, miss, and the bill has been paid.
40:38Do you know where he went?
40:40I'm not sure, but he could have gone to the church across the street.
40:44He usually goes there on Friday night after dinner.
40:46Thank you.
41:08Heinz?
41:35God.
41:38God.
41:58Charlie, the police found a closet full of those rag dolls in Brandon's apartment.
42:02Enough to kill half the models in town.
42:05Jill, what's your reaction?
42:07He didn't do it, Charlie.
42:08He set up.
42:10But there's one thing the person who set Heinz up forgot about,
42:12even though it was staring him right in the face.
42:14What's that, Angel?
42:16Heinz was a Catholic and very religious.
42:18He'd never commit suicide because it's against the laws of the church.
42:22And he'd never kill anyone else either, I'm sure of it.
42:25If that is true, then we are back to square one.
42:28There is one more angle I'm having Sabrina check out.
42:31The photos you took of St. Clair's books turned up something interesting, Kelly.
42:34Large life insurance payments.
42:37Made with company funds.
42:39I'm back. And I got it.
42:41Charlie, you were right.
42:43A London insurance company issued a two million dollar life insurance policy
42:47a little over a year ago.
42:48Now they've been conducting their own discreet investigation.
42:51They didn't want a lawsuit over any false accusations.
42:54Whose policy?
42:55Michelle St. Clair.
42:57Beneficiary?
42:58Kevin St. Clair.
43:00Now wait just one minute.
43:02None of this makes any sense.
43:05We eliminated St. Clair
43:07because we realized it was impossible for him to kill Michelle.
43:11He was at the pool with Kelly.
43:13But not impossible for him to have hired someone to kill her, Bosley.
43:17And he could have killed Dana Cameron.
43:19Why didn't I remember before?
43:20What?
43:21Well, his alibi for Dana's murder was that his car broke down and had to be towed.
43:25Right, so?
43:27Well, he had a fit when Bosley hooked his car up to tow.
43:29He claimed nobody tows that car ever.
43:31Listen, Charlie.
43:33I am still thoroughly confused.
43:36If St. Clair killed Dana Cameron
43:39and had somebody kill Michelle,
43:42what about Candy?
43:44Your hot suspect for that one was Alec Witt.
43:47And Jesse Woodman was the number one suspect for Michelle's murder.
43:51You're not saying...
43:53That's exactly what we're saying, Bos.
43:57Alec, Sabrina Duncan.
44:00I have some information I think you'll be interested in
44:02about Candy's attempted murder.
44:05Jesse, hi, it's Jill Monroe.
44:08There were some photos taken at the St. Clair estate
44:10the day Michelle was murdered,
44:12and I think you'll want to see them.
44:14Kevin, Kelly Garrett.
44:17I think we should have a talk about Dana Cameron's murder.
44:21That's it. Further, further. Head back.
44:26Turn it on, baby. Now look at me.
44:32Lovely, lovely. Toss your head back.
44:39Now look at me.
44:42Now look at me.
44:45Now look at me.
44:48Now look at me.
44:54That's it for now, sweetheart. We'll pick it up in the morning.
44:58Is Woodman on his way?
45:01They say we have nothing to worry about.
45:04What do you mean? All those phone calls
45:06and you try to tell me there's nothing to worry about?
45:08Alec, we've got alibis. Nobody saw us do what we did.
45:11No witnesses, no clues, no chance of anything definite pointing to us.
45:14But they said they might have photographs.
45:17They would be of Woodman, not us.
45:28We have more than just photographs of Jesse Woodman, Mr. Sinclair.
45:33Kelly, I thought you said you were coming alone.
45:36Gee, Kevin, I don't remember saying that.
45:39What I said was we should have a chat about Dana Cameron's murder.
45:43And about those photographs we know about.
45:46They're very interesting photographs.
45:51What's all this about?
45:54Oh, Jesse, the young ladies claim to have some interesting photographs of you.
45:59Which means you're the strangler.
46:02You're crazy.
46:05Not me.
46:08They both have alibis, Jesse.
46:11Yours is blown.
46:13Let me see those photographs.
46:16Let me see them.
46:46Ah!
47:05Okay, you kept me waiting this long without telling me who the strangler is.
47:08Now, which one did it?
47:13He did.
47:14Oh.
47:15And he did.
47:16Huh?
47:17And he did.
47:19Oh, I see.
47:31What Sabrina's trying to explain to you, Bosley, is that they all did it.
47:34All three of them.
47:35Jesse Woodman, Alec Witt, and Kevin Sinclair.
47:38See, the tip-off was the million-dollar insurance policy that Sinclair had taken out on Michelle.
47:43See, he was in hock to half a dozen banks for more money than Creations Incorporated would make in five years.
47:49He figured the only way out from under was to get rid of Michelle in order to collect the insurance money.
47:54So he devised what he thought would be a perfect murder scheme.
47:57The only thing was he needed help to pull it off.
48:00So he went into partnership with Woodman and Alec, agreeing to split the insurance payment with them if they helped with his scheme.
48:07So the killing of Dana and the attempt on Candy was merely to cover the real killing, Michelle's.
48:12Woodman actually killed Michelle.
48:14Alec tried to kill Candy.
48:16And Sinclair killed Dana Cameron to start that whole ragdoll premise in the minds of the police.
48:22And then Sinclair figured that he better set up the phony suicide of Heinz Brandon to throw off any further investigation.
48:29Now, is that all clear to you, Bosley?
48:32Oh, uh, yes, sir, perfectly, uh, clear as can be.
48:38Any word on Candy, Charlie?
48:41She's conscious and out of intensive care.
48:43The police expect her to cooperate fully in testimony against Alec Witt.
48:47Sinclair and his cohorts are going to be out of business permanently, Angels.
48:52Heinz was right, Charlie.
48:54His metal protected me.
49:00I'm really glad we were able to vindicate him.
49:02Yes, indeed, Angel. Well done.
49:04Now I'm going to have to hurry along, Angels.
49:06Work, work, work.
49:08Another case, Charlie?
49:09Yeah, I thought you just finished one.
49:11I did. And the last one really took a lot out of me.
49:16But something else just came up.
49:19And you know how I put my heart into my work.
49:24Bye, Angels.
49:27Goodbye, Charlie.
49:34THE END
50:04THE END
