Kinumpiska ng Bureau of Customs ang 4 na yateng ginamit umano sa pagbiyahe ng drogang nasamsam sa Alitagtag, Batangas nitong Abril. Napag-alaman ding banyaga ang may-ari ng mga yate pero inaalam pa kung may kinalaman siya sa mga kontrabando.

00:42We identified through our investigation and backtracking of the incident that transpired when these illegal drugs were apprehended.

00:51These four yachts were used to smuggle illegal drugs into our country.

01:01The four yachts were owned by a foreign national.

01:05The Bureau of Customs wants to know if this has anything to do with the smugglers.

01:11We will call and investigate the participation of the smugglers in transporting these illegal drugs.

01:20The Bureau of Customs also wants to know how the smugglers were allowed to enter the country.

01:28There is a modus operandi that the ships that have illegal items, like drugs,

01:36are being shipped to islands that are far from our shorelines, but still part of the Philippine territorial waters.

01:47They use smaller vessels like yachts.

01:50The said yachts will be turned over to the Port of Manila Auction and Cargo Disposal,

01:55in accordance with the seizure and forfeiture proceedings of Customs Administrative Order No. 10-2020.

02:02More than a ton of shabu that was smuggled in Alitagtag, Batangas is included in the smuggled drugs of PIDEA this June 6.

02:12According to PIDEA spokesperson and Chief PIO Derek Arion,

02:16because it was presented to the court, the drug's worth of P1 billion will not be used as evidence.
